Happy July! I can’t believe summer is half way over! It’s been a blurr but I feel like I haven’t done anything… besides finally finishing my bathroom. I guess that’s enough. I was feeling guilty last week that I haven’t “summer” schooled the girls. I ranted on IG stories about it buy my Supermom supporters quickly got me together to help me realize a few things. Keep reading to find out what they said to get me all the way together. Plus the girls did their first street style look for the summer. They are back like they never left.

One mom reminded me that kids learn from life lessons. They don’t have to have a book in their face all day. They learn from doing things, playing and helping me pack orders for my shop (HERE).
Another mom said that kids don’t need to be busy all the time. They need a break too! Pretty soon they will be getting up at 6 am to get ready to leave for a full day at school. It’s ok to let them CHILL!

My next take away is that my kids will be just fine. I know I never read a book during the school year, much less, during the summer. I turned out ok, I think. LOL! My girls are smart. I realized they do STEM activities daily. I’ve also stepped up their chores in the house. They are definitely getting some life lessons this summer.
My last take away is, I need a summer break too! We go so hard all year, it’s ok to take a break. I know I’m still grieving and I need to give myself a break. School will be back in before you know it. I’m looking forward to having a few hours to myself .
Looks like Harper was ready to get her pose on! My baby is getting so big! How is your summer going?
I finally completed my bathroom renovation! You can find the reveal HERE. I made sure I had plenty of storage when I ordered this custom vanity. I have a ton of skincare, makeup and hair products that I use on the regular. You know, some days I may be feeling wrinkly or dry, I need a different product. Anywho, I didn’t want to junk it up like my last bathroom. Stuff was everywhere and I didn’t even know what I had. I called in the professional, Brittani from Pinch of Help. She is a professional organizer in the Atlanta area (but she will travel). I’ve followed her on Instagram, @pinchofhelp, for years and was always in awe of how she transformed clutter and chaos into beautiful solutions. That is what Brittani did for me! Check it out!
We started with a blank canvas and that allowed her to get things done fast. She came over, looked at the space and my inventory. I have a lot of inventory and this is after purging.
We don’t have a linen closet in our master bath, my hutch on the vanity will hold our towels. You can find the bins HERE.
I love that Brittani put all my skincare items in a lazy Susan. I never would have thought of doing that. I can see everything that I have. Since she organized it, I’m am using more of my products instead of buying more!
Here are Mister and I everyday drawers. Things that we use no matter what. Teal is my favorite accent color so I was attracted to these drawer organizers. I won’t wear it on my body though LOL! You can find them HERE. This marks the end of Mister’s space, he only has ONE drawer. You guys roasted me on IGTV because he only had one drawer but as you can see he still has room : ).
Most of the drawers used a lot of modular containers like these. We used clear to keep it all neutral.
Working with Brittani was a great experience. She works fast and efficiently. She put some great systems in place. I am happy to report that my bathroom still looks immaculate! You can check out my IGTV video tour HERE.
I’m already plotting to hire Pinch of Help to organize my kitchen (and maybe the girls’ closets). Click HERE to schedule a consult with Pinch of Help. It’s life changing!
My master bathroom is finally done (cue the shouting music). This process started unexpectedly after a massive water leak in my master bathroom under the tub early March. My master bathroom is directly over my living room and the leak caused my living room ceiling to fall in. So my house looked like a hurricane hit it. We had to get the insurance company involved which hasn’t been a pleasant experience. We basically had to pull up all the tiles and floorboards because moister was found underneath, hence the complete bathroom renovation.
Started from the bottom and now we’re here! I’m so excited to share with you. This post will be full of photos but I’ll go into more detail about the renovation and tips that will save you money on future projects!
Looking at the before pics make me cringe. I can’t believe that I’ve lived with this 90’s gold and white bathroom for 4 years! It was old but it was clean. I also didn’t have the money to shell out for a new bathroom. I prayed for this, I didn’t know that God would send it to me in the form of a massive leak.
What do you think of my new bathroom renovation? I seriously don’t even want to use it because it’s so pretty and I don’t want to mess it up. The bathroom is fully functional. There are still a few minor details that need to be addressed and the frameless shower needs to be installed.
I’m so happy with how it turned out. I designed and purchased everything myself to save money and had my contractor provide the labor. It was mentally challenging at times, especially with everything going on in my life but I made it to the other side (barely LOL). Like I said earlier, I will go in to details with tips on how you can save a LOT of money on renovations. If you have specific questions please leave them in the comments or email me firstname.lastname@example.org.

The family and I recently took an amazing vacation to Disney World in Orlando, FL. The girls had no clue. I knew I had to surprise them because I would not hear the end of it until we arrived to Disney World. You can see how it all went down in the video below. I already shared our experience at Bibbidi Bobbidi BoutiqueHERE. I wanted to share a few more details about Disney World with a pre-school age child, some of the perks we had and what you should invest in. Don’t forget to watch the video of some snippets from our trip.

My Disney Experience: When you first decide you want to go to Disney World, sign up HERE. This is where all the info you need is stored. You can buy tickets, make reservations and get all your park information. Next, download the My Disney Experience app. All this info will be available on your phone.
Minnie Van Transportation: Being picked up by the Minnie Van service kicked off the trip. The girls lost their minds when they saw it. I was even hyped about it but I tried to keep my composure. There was a car seat for Harper already installed. The perfect way to start your Disney vacation.
Magic Bands: Opt for Magic Bands for your visit to Disney World. MagicBands are secure all-in-one devices that allow you to effortlessly access the plans and vacation choices that you’ve made with My Disney Experience. You can use the Magic Bands to unlock your room, buy food, park entrance, Fast Pass, Memory Maker and more! They are waterproof and don’t come off. Not once did I have to dig in my bag for a room key or wallet.
FastPass: Skip the lines with FastPass. Each ticket to the park includes a few FastPass. You can select the attractions in advance or use the kiosks on site. You can purchase additional passes which I would suggest. Some lines had wait times of up to 45 minutes. Planning and using your FastPasses when needed could get you through the lines in as little as 5 minutes.
Park Hopper: Adding a Park Hopper option to you Disney experience allows you to check out all 4 parks on one day. Perfect if you’re planning a short visit to Disney World. Combined with your FastPass, you can cover Disney World pretty quickly.
Baby Center: Taking a baby or toddler to Disney World, they got you covered. There is a baby center located at each park. The baby center is equiped with pretty much anything you may need. Formula, diapers, snacks, water, OTC medicine, changing tables, nursing rooms, tvs and more. When it’s super hot, perfect place to get out the heat with the little ones.
Memory Maker: MUST HAVE! Memory Maker is just that! While you enjoy the magic of Disney World you don’t have to stop and ask someone to take a photo, Memory Maker does it for you! Disney photographers are everywhere. They take your family so everyone can get in the picture, tap your magic band and the photo is in your Disney app to download immediately on your phone! You can even purchase prints. All the photos in this post are from our Memory Maker.
We’re still on cloud nine from this magical trip to Disney World. Harper was the perfect age to enjoy everything Disney had to offer. Her little face was lit up the entire time. Make sure you watch the short video recap of our trip to see all the things we did. HERE.
I hope this post is helpful when planning your next Disney vacation. If you have any questions please leave them in the comments.
I got that New New for the Dads! Since my Supermom tee is inspired by a men’s clothing brand, I thought it would be only right if I did one for the Super Dads. I also think Mister was low-key jello he didn’t have one after he heard all the compliments I got on my shirt. It’s here, just in time for Father’s Day…. or any day! Supermom shirts are also back in stock! Keep reading for order info and how to save some coin!
Click HERE to shop! Use code 5off to save $5 when you purchase more than one item. I’ve been selling out and I only have a limited quantity of the Superdad shirts so don’t miss it! If you’ve already purchased a shirt, please tag @babyshop so I can share!

I just returned from a whirlwind 4 days at Walt Disney World in Orlando. This trip was a blessing. I didn’t think my head would be in the right space for it but I knew my family needed this to lift our spirits and it did. We went to Disney World a few years ago and Harper was about 8 months old. This time around we got to experience Disney World through the eyes of a pre-schooler. Harper enjoyed every bit of it, especially the trip to Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique at Disney Springs. When I shared on my stories that we went to Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique I received a lot of questions about the service with little brown girls. Here’s the tea on what you need to know before you go!
1. Book ASAP! First thing you want to do, even before you buy your flights. Getting in the Bobbidi Boutique on short notice is like trying to get backstage at a Beyonce concert. It’s not happening. Book as soon as you know you’re going. There is a small cancellation fee if you wait too late to cancel, but it’s worth it.
2. BYOD. Bring your own princess dresses if you want to save a few dollars. I didn’t. So, of course, I wanted my girls to have the full experience so I purchased new dresses. They are more expensive than the ones they play in at home but the quality was certainly a lot better.
3. Brown girl friendly. I was a little nervous about how the girls’ experience would be because they both had braids. I thought they would tell me they couldn’t do anything because their hair was braided. The Fairy Godmothers didn’t flinch. I sat there as they got creative with the girls and Harper picked out pink hair.
4. Boys are Allowed. Yes, the boys can get a makeover too! They can transform into a Prince or a Knight at Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique.
5. Go to Disney Springs. There are two Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique locations at Walt Disney World. One is at Magic Kingdom in the castle. That sounds really cool but the girls wanted to wear their dresses and hair for a while and with the heat, crowds and trying to ride rides, it may not end well. You do not need a ticket to enter Disney Springs. So you can plan to go outside any day while you’re at Disney World. I heard that the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique at this location is a bit bigger. There is another reason why you should go there and I’ll tell you in a sec.
6. Photo Shoot. After their visit the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique in Disney Springs, we took a short walk over to the PhotoPass Service Studio for a photo session. The girls had a full-blown photo shoot. All the photos below were taken at the studio with backgrounds to match the characters they were dressed like.
7. Get the Disney Photo Pass. The Disney Photo pass makes it super easy to get beautiful pictures while you are enjoying all the magic. There were Disney photographers at Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique. All the pictures in this post were taken by them. Photos are uploaded almost immediately in the Disney app.
Seeing their faces light up when they did their first look made it all worth it. Even buying dresses that they already had. Seriously, this experience is so fun and empowering for the girls. They had a new walk when they came out. I could only have dreamed of something like this and I’m so happy that my girls got to experience Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique.
I hope this was helpful for you next or first trip to Disney World. We really enjoyed it! I’ll be sharing more details about our trip soon.
It’s been a month since my mom passed away. It still seems surreal. The person that you talk to every single day of your life and the person you can count on no matter what is gone. To say I miss her is an understatement. A piece of me is gone.
She was more than a mom to me, she was my best friend. I could tell her anything. She would always support me. Even if she wasn’t feeling what I was saying or doing, she would respond with… Ok Trina. As sad as I am that she is gone, I truly know that I am blessed to have such an amazing mother.
She was all that I had growing up. I shared details about not having a relationship with my dad until the last two years of his life. He died two less than years ago. My mom held me down.
I watched how my mom overcame obstacles with style and grace. She didn’t take no for an answer. She took risks. I think I was her biggest risk. I wasn’t born in the best circumstances but she did what she had to do and held her head high.
When I cry, most it is tears of sadness because
I miss her. Some of them are tears of joy. Joy because I know she is in heaven.
She knew how much she was loved. This Mother’s Day was hard without her but I
tried to focus on how much of an amazing mother and grandmother my mom was.

Happy April! It is spring break week around these parts. Our plans consist of picking out items to repair my master bathroom and living room after a massive water leak. I shared the disaster on IG a few weeks ago. It has been a bit exhausting and inconvenient but I’m excited about a new bathroom on the other end of this journey. Until then, we’ve been waiting on the spring weather to arrive while we channel the 80’s in our windbreakers.
This time last year we were at the beach. I’m going to do my best to get the girls out to do something fun a few days this week in Atlanta. We’ll get back to traveling this summer. Any fun plans for spring break?
