For June, we are going bright for #CBBxManiMonday. I had planned to use this gorgeous coral with a bright green in a gradient. But Daisy decided that my makeup sponges are cat toys so that didn’t work out. The base colour is from the Essie Fondant of You from the summer 2017 collection. This is two coats and you can see some nail line visible in bright sun. Since my plans for the gradient didn’t work out at the last minute, […]

I am very late to the #CBBxManiMonday party this week. I didn’t want to remove my manicure for a meeting so kept it very work appropriate with a base of Alter Ego Women Inherit the World with some simple white floral stamping. Women Inherit the World is a peachy pink toned metallic with silver base that sparkles in the sun. Then topped with the same image on all nails using Born Pretty BPL-029 stamping plate. You can really see the […]

It is another Mani Monday! This month, we are doing floral nails for #CBBxManiMonday and since the Beautube drama took up the weekend and I left my nails until this morning once again, I went for decals. I am really not sure where I got these BZ016 decals, probably AliExpress or Born Pretty since they don’t have any brand name on them. The decals themselves are the kind you don’t need a white base for as they are completely opaque […]

This month for #CBBxManiMonday, we are doing floral nails.  I have wanted to try this image from BP-L024 for a while so it seemed like a great idea to pair it with Turtle Tootsie Polishes A Rose Is A Rose.  It is a dusty rose pink with scattered holo and a few flakes of holo too. Sadly, you can’t buy Turtle Tootsie Polishes A Rose Is A Rose, it was a VIP polish from Indie Expo Canada last year.  Heads up, […]

Almay has been one of those brands that doesn’t pop into my head when purchasing new products despite good experiences with them in the past.  I actually love their foundations and trying these out reminded me to buy some of their TLC foundation.  But they have some new and exciting new products that is changing that and I have some first impressions to share with you today. Almay Eyeshadow Swatches Their eyeshadows are quite subtle when applied dry with a […]

I have mentioned Look Good Feel Better before. They offer a beauty workshop that gives Canadian women the tools and techniques to feel beautiful and vital. With changing skin, a loss of hair etc, their tried and true techniques don’t always work so this little step can make a huge difference. I have been to their events at Shoppers Drug Mart but they are currently running one with Hudson’s Bay.  Head to your local store and buy a ticket for $10 ($5 […]

I already tried and loved some of the Avon ANEW Hydra Fusion line so was excited when they expanded the line to include a micellar water, in-shower mask and eye serum.  The Avon AEW Hydra Fusion collection is packed with hyaluronic acid and raspberry antioxidant to give you deep hydration.  I have been suffering with really dry areas on my combination skin so it was well timed too. The Hyaluronic Acid in the Avon ANEW Hydra Fusion line is super hydrator. It […]

The best of both worlds.  A green tea with a light mint taste from real peppermint and none of the bitter mint aftertaste. Pure Leaf incorporates long-leaf, single-origin Indonesian gunpowder green tea coupled with real peppermint leaves to deliver a cool blast of refreshment with a lingering cooling effect. Both peppermint and green tea have a bunch of health benefits but sometimes I am not in the mood for a grassier tasting green and pure peppermint tends to upset my stomach […]

My #CBBxManiMonday nails this week are just a excuse to munch on a bag of Cadbury Mini Eggs over the weekend!  We are doing Easter nails this week and I always get myself a bag of Mini Eggs for Easter, so makes sense that my nails should match. Polishes used are all from the Turtle Tootsie Pet Peeves collection. Brown: Turtle Tootsie Polish Cover Your Mouth When You Cough! Pink: Turtle Tootsie Polish  Don’t Touch My Stuff! Blue: Turtle Tootsie […]
