Paktia Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed five and wounded five elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (Taliban) in Jani Khel district.

Farah Province:

11 elements of the Afghan National Police surrendered to the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Fasak Nawa area of Pur Chaman district.

Urozgan Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed six elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Chora district.

Zabul Province:

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan reportedly overran 28 Afghan National Security Forces’ posts in Qalat and 13 posts in Shah Joy districts.

Kandahar Province:

Improvised explosive device reportedly killed nine and wounded 34 civilians in an area near Khakrez district.

Aleppo:

Rebel factions shelled Halab al-Jadida and Minian neighborhoods of Aleppo city. According to the Syrian Arab News Agency, six civilians were killed and nine were wounded by the shelling.

‘Afrin Liberation Forces’ (Hêzên Rizgariya Efrînê) released a new statement claiming that the group conducted an operation against the Turkey-backed Free Syrian Army in Afrin region. Full statement released by the group;

HRE reported in a written statement that their troops carried out on July 13 a sniper operation targeted a mercenary of Ahrar al-Sham in the Shera District of Afrin canton.

The troops said that the mercenaries named Abu Iman.

The troops said they will hold the Turkish occupation army and its mercenaries accountable for to their practices against the people of Afrin.

Deir al-Zour:

Vehicle-borne improvised explosive device wounded two individuals in Al-Sur in eastern Deir al-Zour.

Daraa:

Unknown gunmen targeted a Russian Military Police’s patrol on the road between Bosra al-Sham and Al-Sahwa in eastern Daraa. The targeting didn’t cause any casualties.

Afghanistan

Maidan Wardak Province:

Afghan National Security Forces reportedly killed 20 and wounded three elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (Taliban) in Jaghatu district.

Khost Province:

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan conducted a large-scale attack against the Afghan National Security Forces, targeting the administration center of Musa Khel and several nearby posts. According to the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s Al-Emarah News, 28 elements of the Afghan National Security Forces were killed and 30 were wounded in the encounters.

Herat Province:

Five elements of the Afghan Local Police surrendered to the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Pashtun Zarghun district.

Aleppo:

‘Afrin Liberation Forces’ (Hêzên Rizgariya Efrînê) released a new statement claiming that the group conducted an operation against the Turkey-backed Free Syrian Army in northern Aleppo. Full statement released by the group;

On July 12, our forces carried out an operation targeting the fortifications and sites of the mercenaries of the Turkish occupation in the vicinity of the village of Hazwan of al-Bab region, where our fighters clashed with mercenaries face to face, and resulted in killing seven mercenaries and wounding two others, and our fighters seized a nocturnal telescope of the army of occupation Turkish, an arm of AK-47 and a mobile phone.

The elements killed belong to the mercenary factions of Sultan Murad, Ahrar al-Sham, Jabha Shamiya.

Idlib:

Syrian Arab Air Force and the Russian Air Force conducted air raids over Khan Sheikhun, Kafraya, Kafr Ayn, Kafr Aweid, and Mareet Hroma. According to the Syrian Civil Defense (The White Helmets), 11 civilians were killed and 12 were wounded by the air raids.

Hama:

Hayat Tahrir al-Sham reportedly raided positions of the Syrian Arab Army near the village of Kafr Houd in northern Hama. Hayat Tahrir al-Sham’s Ibaa News Agency claimed that seven elements of the Syrian Arab Army were killed in the raid.

Daraa:

Improvised explosive device killed a Syrian Arab Army’s officer and two elements, as well as wounded another element of the army in the city of Buser al-Harir.

Unknown gunmen tortured and executed a former element of the Free Syrian Army near Malilah al-Atash.

Afghanistan

Faryab Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed eight elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (Taliban) in Ghormach district.

Baghlan Province:

12 elements of the Afghan National Army defected to the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Baghlan-e Markazi district.

Khost Province:

Afghan National Security Forces reportedly killed 16 and wounded 13 elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Musa Khel district.

Herat Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed four elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Farsi district.

Kandahar Province:

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s snipers killed six elements of the Afghan National Security Forces in Shaghondan area of Khakrez district.

’Wrath of Olives Operation Room’ claimed responsibility for the yesterday’s ‘vehicle-borne improvised explosive device’ attack in Afrin city. The operation room claimed that the explosion killed 25 and wounded more than 40 elements of the Turkey-backed Free Syrian Army, while other reports stated that the explosion killed at least 12 and wounded 43 civilians.

Raqqa:

Syrian Democratic Forces arrested four individuals accused of belonging to the Islamic State near Thulth Khaniz in Ayn Issa area in northern Raqqa.

Idlib:

Syrian Arab Air Force conducted air raids over Ariha, Maarat al-Numaan, Idlib, Ajlas, and Jisr al-Shughur. According to the Syrian Civil Defense (The White Helmets), ten civilians were killed and 45 were wounded by the air raids.

Hama:

Syrian Arab Army recaptured Al-Hamamiyat and the nearby Tell al-Hamamiyat from Al-Jabhat al-Wataniya lil-Tahrir (National Liberation Front).

Afghanistan

Baghlan Province:

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (Taliban) reportedly captured one Afghan National Security Forces’ checkpoint and 14 villages in Nahrin district.

Maidan Wardak Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed five and wounded one element of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Azra district.

Badghis Province:

Two elements of the Afghan National Security Forces surrendered to the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Dara Boom district.

Herat Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed five elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Obe district.

Helmand Province:

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan killed nine elements of the Afghan Local Police during clashes between the two in Qasim Bazar area of Marjah district. Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan seized four vehicles, four PK machine guns, three RPG launchers, and three assault rifles from the killed elements.

Vehicle-borne improvised explosive device killed 12 and wounded 43 civilians near the eastern entrance to Afrin city.

Al-Hasakah:

Vehicle-borne improvised explosive device wounded 12 civilians near the church of the Virgin Mary in the city of Al-Qamishli.

Idlib:

Syrian Arab Air Force conducted air raids over the city of Jisr al-Shughur and the village of Al-Kefir in western Idlib. According to the Syrian Civil Defense (The White Helmets), five civilians were killed and 27 were wounded by the air raids.

Hama:

Al-Jabhat al-Wataniya lil-Tahrir (National Liberation Front), backed by Hayat Tahrir al-Sham captured Al-Hamamiyat and the nearby Tell al-Hamamiyat from the Syrian Arab Army. Al-Jabhat al-Wataniya lil-Tahrir released a statement claiming that they repelled six Syrian Arab Army’s attempts to recapture Al-Hamamiyat.

Afghanistan

Faryab Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed two elements of the Islamic State in Khogyani district.

Maidan Wardak Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed six elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (Taliban) in Nirkh district.

Ghor Province:

12 elements of the Afghan Local Police surrendered to the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Aana area of Taywara district.

Ghazni Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed three elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Andar district.

Helmand Province:

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan attacked an Afghan National Security Forces’ convoy in Khush Hal Killi area of Nad Ali district. According to the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s Al-Emarah News, 15 elements of the Afghan National Security Forces were killed and wounded, as well as an armored personnel carrier destroyed in the attack.

On July 9 an explosive device targeted a military vehicle which was transferring mercenaries of the so-called (Ahrar al-Sham) in Janders city center, the operation resulted in killing of the mercenary Abu Hassan Sufian and wounding another mercenary, and the vehicle was destroyed.

Syrian Arab Air Force conducted air raids over the city of Jisr al-Shughur in western Idlib. According to the Syrian Civil Defense (The White Helmets), six civilians were killed and ten were wounded by the air raids.

Hama:

Rebel forces shelled the city of Al-Suqaylabiyah in northern Hama. According to the Syrian Arab News Agency, two civilians were killed and two were wounded by the shelling.

Deir al-Zour:

Left over Islamic State’s improvised explosive device killed seven civilians at the outskirts of Dablan village in eastern Deir al-Zour.

Unknown gunmen killed an individual in the city of Gharanij in eastern Deir al-Zour.

Al-Suwayda:

Unknown gunmen kidnapped an individual in the city of Al-Suwayda.

Afghanistan

Faryab Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed ten elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (Taliban) in Gurziwan and Khan Abad districts.

Kunduz Province:

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan overran a major Afghan National Security Forces’ base in Imam Sahib. According to the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s Al-Emarah News, 28 elements of the Afghan National Security Forces were killed, 16 were wounded, and ten were captured. Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan seized four armored vehicles, three RPG launchers, three PK machine guns, and 12 assault rifles from the base.

Kandahar Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed four and wounded three elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Band-e Timor area of Maywand district.

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s improvised explosive device destroyed an Afghan National Security Forces’ motorcycle and killed two elements in Kala Shamir area of Maywand district.

Operations room “Wa Harid al-Muminin” (And Incite the Believers), backed by Al-Jabhat al-Wataniya lil-Tahrir (National Liberation Front) launched a large-scale raid against the Syrian Arab Army targeting the village of Atirah and around a dozen of hills in northern Latakia. Reports claimed that several dozen of Syrian Arab Army’s elements were killed and wounded in the raid, as well as four elements captured and three tanks destroyed.

Rebel forces shelled Jourin and Ayn Salimo in Jabal al-Zawiyah region in northern Hama. According to the Syrian Arab News Agency, three civilians were killed and six were wounded by the shelling.

Unknown gunmen killed one and wounded one individual in the village of Al-Yadoudah, northwest of Daraa city.

Afghanistan

Faryab Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed five elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (Taliban) in Tukli area of Khwaja Namoosi district.

Logar Province:

Aleppo:

‘Afrin Liberation Forces’ (Hêzên Rizgariya Efrînê) released a new statement claiming that the group conducted an operation against the Turkey-backed Free Syrian Army in Afrin region. Full statement released by the group;

On July 5th our forces carried out an operation using light and middle-classed assault weaponry against a number of jihadists from the so-called Ahrar Al-Sham gang on the Basut-Khezawi road of Sherawa town. A number of the mentioned group was killed during the clashes. Simultaneously with the clashes between our forces and Ahrar Al-Sham, a group of jihadists attempted to give backup to the group our forces were engaged in clashes with but were not successful and our forces targeted them with a sabotage action. As a result of both actions 4 Turkish-backed jihadists were killed and further 4 were injured.

Raqqa:

Unknown gunmen executed an individual on a road near the village of Maizilah, north of Raqqa city.

Idlib:

Syrian Arab Army’s artillery, the Syrian Arab Air Force, and the Russian Air Force targeted Babila, Maar Shurin, Jadraya, Jarjanaz, Khan Sheikhun, Kafr Sajnah, and several other localities in the governorate. According to the Syrian Civil Defense (The White Helmets), at least six civilians were killed and six were wounded by the targeting.

Deir al-Zour:

Vehicle-borne improvised explosive device reportedly killed two and wounded three civilians in Abu Hammam in eastern Deir al-Zour.

Al-Suwayda:

Unknown gunmen attacked the headquarters of the Syrian Arab Armed Forces in the city of Salkhid. There were no casualties on either side, as the attackers fled shortly after the Syrian Arab Armed Forces responded to the attack.

Afghanistan

Maydan Wardak Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed five elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (Taliban) in the province.

Ghazni Province:

Suicide vehicle-borne improvised explosive device reportedly killed 12 and wounded 96 individuals in the 1st District of Ghazni city.

Zabul Province:

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan overran Afghan National Security Forces’ Zayart checkpoint in Shah Joy district. Two elements of the Afghan National Security Forces were killed and two elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan were wounded in the encounter.

Helmand Province:

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan overran and dismantled an Afghan National Police’s post in Sarkhaduz area of Nawa-I-Barakzayi district. Ten elements of the Afghan National Police were killed in the encounter.

On 4 July, our forces carried out a qualitative operation targeting a military vehicle carrying a number of mercenaries of the Turkish occupation in the city of Mara’ and destroyed it.

Raqqa:

Syrian Democratic Forces arrested two individuals on charges of belonging to the Islamic State in the village of Khash Hbal in eastern Raqqa.

Latakia:

Improvised explosive device wounded the leader of the Syrian Arab Army-affiliated Al-Mouqawamat al-Suriya (Syrian Resistance), Mihraç Ural on a road in the governorate. The attack was reportedly conducted by the Free Syrian Army’s Abu Amara Special Task Brigade, which previously targeted and wounded Ural in a similar attack in the September of 2018.

Idlib:

Syrian Arab Air Force conducted air raids over Ariha, Khan Sheikhun, and Mohambal. According to the Syrian Civil Defense (The White Helmets), 15 civilians were killed and more than 20 were wounded by the air raids.

Afghanistan

Takhar Province:

Afghan National Security Forces reportedly fully cleared Baharak district from the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (Taliban). Reports claimed that 27 elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan were killed in the clearance operations.

Ghor Province:

Residents of Bazarkham Bolagh area in Firozkooh (Chaghcharan) district pledged their allegiance to the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan. The aforementioned area consists of 34 villages and more than 2000 families, under the tribal leadership of Haji Dawod, Nadar Khan and Abdul Rauf. Similarly, residents of Bazar Saqwah, Saibak, and Karab Gala areas of Du Layna district pledged their allegiance to the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan. The aforementioned areas consists of 30 villages and more than 1500 families, under the tribal leadership of Abdul Samad, Neamatullah, and Haji Gul Aqa.

Farah Province:

Afghan National Security Forces killed five and wounded three elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Farah district.

Zabul Province:

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan overran an Afghan National Police’s center in Norak area of Qalat district. According to the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s Al-Emarah News, 17 elements of the Afghan National Police were killed and three vehicles were destroyed in the encounter. Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan seized an armored personnel carrier, two PK machine guns, two RPG launchers, and a DShK heavy machine gun from the center.

Kandahar Province:

Afghan National Security Forces reportedly killed 25 elements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Maruf district.

Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan overran two Afghan National Security Forces’ posts in Sharghi Dorahi area of Khakrez district. Six elements of the Afghan National Army and five elements of the Afghan Local Police were killed in the encounters.

CJTF-OIR:

CJTF-OIR announced a change in their publishing policy. Now one strike report will be published each week on Mondays.
