Here are some new additions to SwingTradeBot from the last few months.

Earnings Calendar

There's now an earnings calendar section of the site. (It's also listed in the Research Menu.)  This will allow you to go forward in time, unlike the earnings scan.

I was asked earlier today about how to export a list of stocks from a SwingTradeBot scan result into a TradingView Watchlist.  That reminded me that I forgot to write about an enhancement that I added last summer.

In response to another TradingView watchlist request I added another column (called tradingview_symbol) to SwingTradeBot's CSV file exports.  That column contains TradingView's ticker symbol.  TradingView combines the stock symbol with the stock's listing exchange, so AAPL, which is listed on the Nasdaq would be NASDAQ:AAPL.  So that column of data will look something like:

Over the last few months several people have complained to me about some feature of the site not working (for them).  Without fail every one of those folks who had issues was using either Microsoft's Edge or Internet Explorer web browsers

Things like not being able to see the site's pop-up charts, or the full page of charts feature or nothing happening when clicking the "Add to Watchlist" or "Add to Portfolio" buttons.  There are probably other things which are also broken.  Basically, if you're using a Microsoft browser and you've experienced clicking/tapping on things and nothing happening, it's likely because a failure within your browser.  All the aforementioned functionality works fine in Chrome, Firefox, Safari and even on Android (Chrome) devices and iOS (Safari) devices.

I'm not sure why the Microsoft browsers refuse to work -- for whatever reason they aren't able to execute this site's Javascript properly.  The only solution I've come up with is to use a different browser -- Chrome, Firefox or Opera are all excellent choices.

If you can't switch browsers, you can try clearing your browser's cache but I'm not sure if that will work or if you won't have to clear it again the next time I update the site, which happens pretty frequently.

P.S.  Microsoft recently announced that they're effectively throwing in the towel on their own browsing engines and instead will be adopting the Google Chrome (Chromium) engine.  So you may as well take that hint and change your browser now!

I'm back from my summer vacation and I've just released a new version of the mobile app.  It's live on the Google Play Store (Android) and still waiting for review on the iOS App Store.  (Although iOS users can get the new functionality now by launching the app, killing it and then launching it again.)

Here are the highlights of what's new:

I meant to write this over the weekend when I was going through charts and noticed how the S&P 500 has been bouncing between its upper and lower Bollinger Bands since February.  So here's the chart, which I've annotated to identify some key turning points (you can click the chart to get a larger version):

I've released a couple of new intraday alert types over the last several days.   All of these were due to people messaging me to suggest I add them.  So I'm glad to see that people are finding the intraday alerts useful and that they're suggesting things that I either missed or, in the case of StockTwits, might have never even thought of creating.

I had a couple of really nice trades this week that I want to discuss.  I half-jokingly tweeted about the first one, chalking it up to dumb luck.  While there was certainly some luck involved, I'm reminded of that old saying about luck:

For a few months now, you've been able to filter scan results by stocks with options (which are optionable).  Earlier this week, by request, I also added the ability to filter by stocks which have weekly options.  Here is where you can find those filters:

I finally figured out what was causing the inability to stay logged in on the SwingTradeBot iOS app.  The fix has been released and you should now be able to remian logged in for 30 days at a time.  You don't need to update the app, just log in and you should be good to go.

I'm glad to have this problem solved and am looking forward to getting back to building out the app's functionality.
