Norfolk: Home to Alan Partridge, a pub for each day of the year and an abundance of uncovered, independent brewers.
I’m Sir Toby and I want you to stop drinking average beer. You see, it’s not all farms and very close family relationships in the East – the best beer in the country is made here in Norfolk.
With your help, I’ll get both fantastic beer to your table and give deserved exposure to local brews made for the love of it.
How it works:
* We select a case of 12 of the best Norfolk craft beers and real ales using our expert local knowledge (including free goodies to help you along the way, corr!).We get this to your door every 1, 2 or 3 months or three times a year when you need it most (Easter/August Bank Holiday and Christmas).
* Tweak your taste preferences along the way to help you get the perfect box every time.
* Organise your box online or on the phone, whatever works for you.
Head Out, Not Home: Head out, Not Home this summer and enjoy free entertainment in Norwich city centre. Norwich will once again come alive with a burst of music and entertainment every Thursday evening for 10 weeks (5 July – 6 September) from 16:40 – 20:00.
Thursday is also the first day of our July Pop-Up Bar! We are lurking just yards away from the free entertainment on Gentleman’s Walk and our awesome friends Ebb Tide. You can check out their Facebook page here. They play 3 sets at 17:00, 18:10, 19:20 and we’ll be providing the beer.
Lord Mayer’s Celebration: Sir Toby’s Pop-Up Bar will be in full flow on Friday evening. Feel free to get a good spot for the Elephant Parade from our seating area and sip a beer, cider or G&T while you’re at it.
We will be open until 10pm playing some Disco and Reggae classics too.
We have an incredibly sip-able Pale Ale on Keg from Malt Coast Brewery. These guys are brewing up at Wells-Next-the-Sea and knocking it out of the park! We will also have Wildcraft Brewery’s ‘Wild Towers’ on draught over the weekend. This little beauty is brewed using Wild Yarra Flower – who would have thunk it!
What’s more… the fridges will be rammed with cider from Norfolk Raider Cider Co. and Norfolk Wine from HumbleYard Vineyard in Mulbarton. The G&T on the menu will be Bullard’s Gin and original Fever Tree Tonic.
What’s On: Saturday 7th July
Football, Food and Fireworks: England’s World Cup quarter-final against Sweden kicks-off at 3pm. We will be open from midday so football fans can stock up on some liquid essentials! We will then of course be open for the celebrations!
Norwich Market will be thriving on Lord Mayer’s day. We’ve been chatting to our foodie friends and they are making a ton of superb grub (from scratch of course) for hungry Procession goers! A particular shout-out to our Chilean neighbours Cocina Mia for keeping us fed. You can check out their Instagram here.
And of course, the Lord Mayer’s Procession, Events and Fireworks! There is far too much going on for me to list, but you can download the full programme here.
Lord Mayer’s Procession – 7.30pm
Fireworks – 10.30pm
(and of course Sir Toby’s Pop-Up Bar – 12-10pm mwahaha)
What’s On: Sunday 8th July
Still lots to see!: Let’s face it, Saturday is looking like a big one. However, if it’s fresh air that is needed, there are still plenty of events happening as part of the Lord Mayer’s Celebrations.
We will be open too from 12-6. We have some ‘Table Beers’ in the fridge (under 3%) that may help ease you back up to speed along with an army of awesome craft beers and local real ales.
We are Norwich‘s Craft Beer Bottle Shop as well as home to local real ales, ciders, wines and spirits. We live down on Norwich Market at stall 182, NR2 1NE. If you’d like to see more about our shop and who we stock then head on over to our ‘Norwich Market’ page. Thanks!
