I love vintage corbels, and the chippier the better. Corbels have become a decorative accessory sought out by many, and are hard to find. It seems no 2 corbels are the same when out hunting, but their uses around the house are endless.
I don’t scope out auctions every weekend like some of you, and I’m quite envious of your ability to find treasures. Something about them greatly intimidates me. Maybe because whenever I would attend one with my parents growing up I felt as if reaching up to rub my eye or scratch my head would result in purchasing something no one else wanted. Those auctioneers can spot a head turn from a mile away, so I have left the hunting up to those who are well trained.
I do; however, visit my share of antique shops and always have my eyes peeled for a set of vintage corbels. I have never had any luck finding a pair, until recently. How did I get so lucky to stumble across these beauties?
Vintage Corbels (Inspired)
Truth is I didn’t find these vintage corbels out shopping one weekend. I found them in the sweetest Etsy shop, LumberandLaceUS. That’s right the owner, Kirsten, builds custom vintage inspired corbels. (insert gasp here)
No photo I take would do these corbels justice. They are stunning beyond words in person. I am truly in awe of the craftsmanship and design and would never question if they were authentic or not.
I discussed size, paint, and whether or not I wanted them distressed with Kirsten ahead of time. My original plan was to have them sitting pretty in our new custom built-ins in the living room, but after un-packaging them I felt their presence would be better suited in my office (for now).
Here is a small glimpse at some of the custom vintage inspired corbels fromLumberandLaceUS.
This next photo shows how my friend, Pamela – Home on Fernhill, styled hers. I thinks it’s just gorgeous spring inspiration!

I can’t wait for you guys to check out LumberandLaceUS! I love sharing new small shops, and I know you will be impressed with the variety of sizes, designs, colors, and pricing of their vintage inspired corbels.
Have a great week!

If you love to host holiday parties, entertain on the weekend, or just plain enjoy happy hour, you should probably consider owning a bar cart. I purchased my first bar cart last year, and loved styling it so much. It quickly became apparent that it was too small, so I recently upgraded to this handsome unit, The Tibo, from Birch Lane .
*This is a sponsored post in collaboration with Birch Lane. All opinions are 100% my own.
Bar carts have grown in popularity in the last couple years, and it’s not hard to see why. Who knew styling a vignette involving liquor could be so appetizing. And can we talk about multi-functional? There are no rules, they don’t have to be used for alcoholic beverages. I have seen plenty sporting Perrier Sparkling Water, fresh lemonade, pretty goblets, coffee, appetizers, and fresh flowers.
I absolutely love the amount of space on my new bar cart. It fits perfectly in our breakfast nook, and can easily become a caddy for extra plates and napkins during a get together, all the while still having extra space for drinks.
Bar Cart Necessities
For everyday use, here are a few necessities I think every bar cart should house:
Clear cocktail glasses and wine goblets
A tray for accessories
Cocktail shaker and shot glass for measuring
Conversation piece or two
Even though I don’t own any, vintage barware would be super fun displayed!
I think the best quality about a bar cart is the fact that it’s on wheels. Whatever festivity you are hosting, placing the bar cart in an appropriate spot where it’s accessible will create another place to mingle.
This particular bar cart is currently out of stock, but Birch Lane has so many amazing alternatives. I chose my top 5 and linked them for you, and they even show several styling options.
I have a little Easter sprinkled in the mix currently, but here is a photo showing my ‘everyday’ bar cart styled.
What did I do with the smaller cart purchased last year? Why… it’s in the bedroom, of course I kept it, because having more than one is perfectly ok!! I actually have one on our deck too!! Like I said, multi-functional. The smaller round works as a side table too, and a small lamp would actually be perfect in that corner.
Linked below are several bar cart essentials. Let me know if I have convinced you that you too need a bar cart in your life. If you have one already, hooray!! I would love to know where you have yours displayed and with what accessories.
It’s already the second full week in March, and until this week, bunnies had yet to make an appearance. Waking up to a fresh dusting of snow Wednesday morning did not damper my desire to create a Spring and Easter Tablescape.
So much has taken place in just a week. Late winter illness creeped it’s way in, and unfortunately grabbed ahold of Mikayla. Even though she almost missed a whole week of school, and several exciting volleyball games, that dreadful week ended happy. The 7th grade team made it to the volleyball state finals, and Mikayla was well enough to play
These leafy placemats have been the best purchase. Being so versatile, I managed to use them in the fall, winter, and now spring.
White dinner plates, a neutral table runner, and gold flatware have all become staples for my table. Layering the main plates with smaller plates, accessories, and festive napkins is where I like to change things up season to season.
A Splash of Color
I had these larger blue and green vases tucked away, and it feels good bringing them out again. They’re perfect for spring and pair perfectly with the pastels of Easter. I filled them and smaller jars with fresh and faux flowers. Can you tell which are real and which are faux?
I added a few nests to my open shelves, and spruced up my tiered tray. My Easter decor is much more limited now that the girls are older. Of course, I adore pastels, but I keep bunnies and chicks to a minimum. Don’t get me wrong, I think they are cute, I just don’t scatter them like I do trees and Santa at Christmas.
Bird nests are lovely to display, and work well for Spring and Easter. They are a cute accessory that can be left throughout summer too.
Both my Wood Bead Chandelier and Tiered Tray is from Painted Fox Home, are currently in stock AND on SALE!! They are both super popular and sell out quickly.
Last year’s Easter tablescape was a bit more glamorous, check it out here. I love having a catalog to look back on year to year. It’s fun to see how using a few of the same pieces can look so different depending on their surroundings
Hope you all have a good weekend doing whatever it is that makes you the happiest <3
Good afternoon friends! I have some small shops to share with you today. There is nothing better than finding amazing home decor, and knowing you helped support a small shop! These shops I am sharing today have all worked hard to build their brands, and I am honored to display their products in my home.
Fresh, clean, and subtle scents hand poured into these sweet mason jars, and pretty packaging to boot! I LOVE Antique Candle Work’s candles, and have tried almost every scent. Brittany is debuting two brand new scents for Spring, Sweet Lemon and Fresh Cut Herbs.
The Sweet Lemon reminds me of a lemon drop, not the sour side, but the sweet side. You know how a lemon drop tastes towards the end? This scent replicates that perfectly in my opinion.
Fresh Cut Herbs slightly mimics that of Clean Cotton, which happens to be my all time favorite scent. A fresh and crisp aroma that I guarantee will quickly become a favorite in your home.
Each candle from Antique Candle Works is made with wax from domestically grown soy beans and fine fragrance oils, and comes with a burlap bag and pretty cards all about their candles. A great gift idea!
Scent of the Month
Each month Brittany highlights a specific scent, and discounts that candle 10%.
Back Roads is the scent of the month for March. I have a large jar of this scent, and it reminds me of the outdoors, with an array of lemon, apple, lavender, violet, lilac, cedar, and jasmine.
Next up, this hand made tall bed table is from The Gulley Farmhouse. I can still smell the fresh cut wood and stain on this baby <3 I have had my eye on this table for so long, and finally took advantage of a discount code recently. It is crafted so sturdy, and it’s not light!! Breakfast in bed may become a regular around here on Saturday mornings!
The legs come wrapped separately, and screw into the bottom. With wedding and shower season heavily upon us, this would be an amazing gift idea.
I get tons of inquiries about my chunky knit throw. Erin’s small shop is out of Nashville, TN. She hand knits these chunky throws using luxurious merino wool, and they are available in different sizes and colors. She also offers customizable digital prints and chunky knit pillows as well. I absolutely love this wool throw, and recently added a pillow in my favorite color
This is my FAVORITE piece from their new Spring collection!
I hope you check out each of these small shops! I can attest to their amazing craftsmanship and durability. Whether you are in need of a unique gift or refreshing a space in our home, these small shops will provide you with products that will have you returning! Have a great weekend friends!
I hope you are all having a wonderful week and got outside to enjoy a little sunshine! Isn’t it amazing what a little Vitamin D can do for a person? It sure put a spring in my step My weeks have been filled with junior high volleyball, and currently our Wildcats are trying their best to advance in post season. This weekend our older girls are visiting for the first time since Christmas, and I have to say there has been lots of changes since then! One new item I am super excited about is my new full length mirror from my sponsor, Birch Lane.
I have never had a free standing full length mirror, and when I learned it had multi-function my girly girl side just about burst!
Yep, it doubles as a jewelry armoire!! Gasp!
The photo above shows an inside tray that folds when not in use. What a wonderful feature for those evenings when trying on different pieces is a must.
Did I mention it’s lighted?
Just look at all the storage!! I was still using a jewelry box from my high school days, and it wasn’t near big enough so I had jewelry scattered in 4 different places. I haven’t quite filled it up yet, but you get the idea
Right at home
It’s almost like it has always been there. The space between the dresser and nightstand was just the right amount
Oh! I almost forgot to mention it has a lock! I am in love with this full length mirror, and all it has to offer!
Well, I’m off to catch up on some laundry and track down some missing socks I’ll be back soon to show you my new favorite piece when entertaining. I hope you all enjoy a relaxing weekend! Sources are listed below, and as always, I love hearing from you <3

These stemless wine glasses are too gorgeous to store behind closed cabinet doors. They make a statement just sitting pretty when not in use. Use them as a vase, votive, or trinket holder; or let them stand alone!
How fun are these cactus lights?!
