German nurse admits to killing 100 patients as trial opens World news - YouTube


A German has admitted to killing 100 patients who were in his care. On the first day of his trial Neils Hoegel, 41, admitted he killed patients at two hospitals in the country. He told the court that the charges against him were accurate. The charges stem from his time at two hospitals in Oldenburg and Delmenhorst from 1999 to 2005. The victims were age 34 and 96. A passenger plane carrying 188 people has crashed into the sea off Jakarta.

Flight JT610 lost contact with the ground 13 minutes after take-off, The Guardian report.

''It has been confirmed that it has crashed'', Yusuf Latif, a spokesman for the country's search and rescue agency said on Monday.

The jet was a Boeing 737 MAX 8, which can carry up to 200 passengers.

A search and rescue effort has been launched for the plane, which departed Jarkata about 6.20am Ipcal time on Monday.

It was scheduled to land at Pangkal Pinang atb7.20am.

Wreckage has been found near where the plane lost contact with air traffic officials on the ground. Said Mohmmad Syaugi, the head of the search and rescue agency.

Leicester City owner and chairman Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha has been confirmed among the dead in Saturday night helicopter crash tragedy at the King Power Stadium.

The Premier League club on Sunday officially confirmed that five people died when the helicopter lost control during take-off.

A club statement read: '' it is with the deepest regret and a collective broken heart that we confirm our chairman, Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha, was among those to have tragically lost their lives on Saturday evening when a helicopter carrying him and four other people crash outside King Power Stadium. None of the five people on-board survived.

Man Utd manager, Jose Mourinho has taken another swipe at his board, by claiming that Everton have the same 'ambition' as the Red Devil this season.

United who only spent £70M during the summer transfer window on Fred and Diogo Dalot but Mourinho was furious that his board failed to sign at least one centre back.

United's executive Vice Chairman, Ed Woodward overruled Mourinho's defensive choices and the Red Devil had a slow start to the season, leaning in tenth position of the premier league table.

Mourinho has made a number of digs at his board since the start of the season by praising West Ham's scouting network and Juventus's strength in depth.

However, the Portuguese claimed that his Sunday's opponents, Everton have the same 'ambition' as united do.

Alhaji Suleiman Adamu, the Minister of Water Resources on Thursday said that President Mohammadu Buhari would declare a State of emergency on water and sanitation on November 8.

Adamu made the disclosure during the special Town Hall meeting of the Federal Govt held at Emeritus Prof . Theophilus Ogunlesi Hall of University College Hospital (UCH) in Ibadan.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the Town Hall meeting was aimed at briefing the people on the achievements of the Buhari - led administration in infrastructure development.

Gov Abubakar Bagudu of Kebbi, has poured encomium on Gov Akinwunmi Ambode of Lagos State, saying he had demonstrated grace and that he believed history would judge him kindly.

Bagudu spoke on Thursday in Lagos at closing of three-day 18th National Women's Conference, organised by the Committee of Wives of Lagos State officials (COWLSO).

There is a panic in Ogutun-Ekiti, a community in Ekiti southwest LGA of Ekiti State over the killing of a soldier by unknown gunmen.

Resident claimed that the soldiers now patrol their community in twelve Toyota Hilux vans. 

While many resident have left the town, others who are afraid of going out are currently indoors.

A community leeder, Mr Paul Awopetu, who confirmed the development to reporter on Thursday, said a resident was killed by suspected robbers at Olori farmstead in Ogutun.

Awopetu disclosed that one person who escaped from the robbery scene reported the incident to soldiers manning a checkpoint between Ogutun and neighbouring community.

Former Jamaica sprinter and 100 meters record holder, Usain Bolt, has tipped Manchester United to defeat Juventus in tonight's Champions League clash.

Bolt said he expects a great match at Old Trafford, adding that Jose Mourinho's side, who are playing at home, should use that as an advantage over the Italian Champions.

''I think it'll be a great match,'' Bolt told Gazette dello sport.

''Two great team will face each other in the most important stage, great history and pride.

''Manchester United are playing at home so they have a certain advantage. Playing at Old Trafford or away is not the same thing''

The Ohanaeze Ndigbo Youths (Worldwide) has commended the PDP and former Vice President of Nigeria, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, for choosing an Igbo son as the vice president candidate for the 2019 general elections.
The commendation was given through a statement issued in Owerri on Sunday by its Acting National President, Dr Kingsley Dozie and Emeka Odom its Assistant National Legal Adviser.
