It’s Angelina here. I have an story to share with you.

Last week I got an Audi Q7 and it happened in a way that floored me.

WARNING — this is LONG post, but I had to add all of the deets to give you the full sense of this story.

If you read my email from yesterday you know that I recently dug up a huge limiting belief that I did not know that I had.

I kinda knew… but it started to become really clear to me when I had kids.

“My needs and desires don’t matter.”

Ugh. What? Who me? That can’t be true. I have needs?

After having kids I realized that my needs were last (as they should be when taking care of others, however I was so last that the order of importance was, my kids, my work, others needs, my husband, and then myself). It was really affecting my life at home more than anything.

It got so bad in my relationship (it was a constant complaint from my husband that I wanted to solve) that I went to see a friend who is amazing theta healer and hypnotherapist. After digging in with her for a handful of hours we discovered this belief. As I sat in my chair dumbfounded, I could at the same time see ALL of the ways that I was not allowing myself to have desires.

Cool things just happen to me. I never really went for any crazy goals that I did not think I could achieve. I’d always stretch myself a bit, but not too far.

I have an amazing life — and yet most of it feels like it happened to me because my husband, friends, and my business peeps are really great at asking for what they want.

I’d ask for a few things, but not what I really wanted for fear of being disappointed or even worse, failing.

When I’d do dreaming exercises or future visions I’d always go kind of blank. Don’t get me wrong, I’d write things on my paper, but they were all achievable (or at least I knew very well what I’d have to do to get there.)

From time to time I’d share something out landish like I want a new car, but then quickly say something like, “It will happen when the time is right.” Or I’d think of a kind of car that was the most functional choice.

Before this Audi we had a 2015 Toyota Sienna, a very functional and amazing car, and yet it never brought me joy…it was functional. Bland and grey.

About a month ago I started reading “You are a BadA$$ with Money”, by Jen Sencerio. The book is great and really got be dreaming bigger with what I want as far as money goes (along with the fact that I’ve not released the limiting belief that my needs don’t matter which totally shifted my ability to dream).

One of the exercises in the book is to dream up the most joyful expression of life. What would you want to do each day, what experiences, and then literally add up how much that life would cost.

My husband and I spent a couple afternoons dreaming and what you have to know is that before this I HATED DREAM SESSIONS. You’ll notice that Brianne teaches about dreaming and not so much me. It was a good concept, but not something that I felt strongly about teaching.

When dreaming with my husband, I’d normally just think he was insane. He’s a huge visionary so he’d say things like let’s own a home in the south of France and I’d say, “Are you crazy, we don’t even own a home now..how are you dreaming of one in the south of France?”

I was a Debbie Downer for sure. And quickly, VERY quickly I’d change the subject or move to something achievable. Ugh, what a drag.

So I did my homework and dreamt up this delicious life of abundance and my version of wealth.

I realized that the life I dreamt up just gave me more freedom and options to live out my values and I felt the emotion of what it would feel like be my future self.

In my vision I wanted an Audi Q7 among other things. So, I decided to see what would happen if I spent 20 minutes each day visualizing and feeling my future life. Within a week the first part of my list happened.

And then last week after having 2 days of solid self care and very little work, Jeremy and I went to get a blood test, and afterwards drove past the Audi dealership.

He said, “Do you want to test drive one?”

I said, “No” almost immediatley and then as the wise man that he is, he asks,

“Would it bring you joy if you were not living in your fear or logic?”

I giggled, “Hell yes!”

So we took a look on the used lot (that Jeremy had already been eyeing for me after our dreaming session – such a sweet hubby). I took a test drive and then began to ask questions about how much they would give us for our trade in.

An important part of this story to fully make my point here is that we assumed that we’d lose money on our Toyota Lease because we’d scratched the side of it, the back hatch was broken, and we had a cute little mouse family that nested in our air filter. (oh and teddy tried to play tick tac toe in crayon on the ceiling). It was full of problems.

As I’m standing there at the dealership, at this point that in the past I would have left because, “My desires and needs don’t matter” and I have lots to do.

But I stayed. I said to the salesman, “I’d really like to drive home with this car today if you can buy the Toyota and keep my payment close to where it is now.”

I waited. They ran numbers, did credit check, all the while I did not go into fear or worry. I just stayed with my joy and desires. I felt good and calm about everything.

I’m not going lie there was some inner conversations going on (the logical thoughts in my head) about it being weird to get a new car given some of my current circumstances…

– I recently spent my savings for various reasons and have no immediate knowing of how I am going to replace it

-I had not worked the last two days and no new clients sessions scheduled

Logically it made no sense, but I am done with thinking logically and instead I’m stepping into the vision I see so clearly. The one that’s waiting for me if I’m brave enough to say yes to what I really want and believe that I can succeed at it. Which I now do at a whole new level!!

Some people would call this batshit crazy, but I call it being a servant to your dreams.

We must suspend the fears in order to step into our dreams.

Some of you are thinking well good for you. You might think it’s crazy, irresponsible, or why an Audi. Whatever your inner commenarty just observe it and that might be just what holds you back.

I am coming to think it’s even crazier to believe that we can’t have certain things and that there is a limit to the amount of goodness that we are allowed to have.

I’m not about status or significance in my life. I don’t think I’m better because I have an Audi. It’s not for attention or status. I live from contribution and love. For me owning an Audi means a couple of things.

1. I feel amazing in it which raises my vibration each and every day.

2. I feel safe stepping into my personal desires

3. 3 rows to drive my friends and friends kids around

4. I can show others that anyone can step into their dreams, but it takes balls because it won’t just happen to you.

POINT OF THIS LONG A$$ STORY: What FLOORED me the most was the fact that when the sales man brought the numbers back to show us the proposed payment.

It was not much more than what we were paying for the mommy van.

I did not know how much a used Audi costs. I would have NEVER test driven one. I thought it was totally out of my range — but come to find out my mini van was about the same price. Again this is what happens when we think we can’t have something and never ask the question, “How can I …?”

Secondly, within the time that we were signing the papers I got a text from a person I did not know. She says ” I’m free tomorrow. Are you? I want to start training with you.”

So it confirms on another level what we’ve been teaching all year in our Soul On Fire Mastery Program. You can honor your desires and build a business at the same time. Becuase when you are in your joy, your vibration is high, you are feeling abundant, and taking risks to follow your dreams — the universe rewards you.

Anyone who knows me well knows that I LOVE to constantly learn and grow.

It’s kind of an obsession. I want to share a story about something that I did not seek out, but instead it hit me smack between the eyes. Like BAM! (I hope it helps you too!)

About a month ago I was at my NIA White Belt Training walking down the street in San Rafael, CA with a woman in my class. We were talking about life and relationships. She was struggling with wanting a community for support on some big life changes that she was making.

She’s not a Network Marketer, but I kept feeling called to support her in some way. After thinking about it I decided to gift her a ticket to the 12-Week Lead On Purpose Program, because it’s an amazing program for anyone who wants to lead their life from their soul and not just their head. 

This woman is a radio announcer and spends her days reporting on the incomprehensible amount of tragedy that is going on right now in the world. Let’s just say I wanted to sprinkle her with a little love and goodness.

I shared my idea with her  and she immediately said, “I can’t accept.” 

Which I already figured she’d say because I could tell that she had an aversion to receiving. 

But after she thought about it for a minute she said, “Thank you so much and if you ever need anything for your business I’m great at voice overs.”  It was a sweet moment where I revealed in the wonderful feeling of giving.

In a few minutes I found myself saying something that I’d never said before.

I said, “I love giving. I’m a generous person and I think it’s one of the reasons that people are generous with me. I win lots of things.”

Over the past couple weeks I’d won a coaching session with an amazing energy healer, $50 worth of Color Street nails, and in the past I’ve literally won all expense paid trips to Costa Rica 2x’s, and a particularly paid trip to Costa Rica 1x. 

Someone lent me their car to drive to San Rafael, and other strangers opened their homes to me and gifted me a room in their house. My point being that I am often given many gifts from God and the universe. 

So here’s the part of the story that hit me square in the eyes. Fast forward 2 weeks and I’m sitting in my seat at the doTERRA post convention tour in Monterey, CA. Loving what I’m hearing, in a state of gratitude for my friend who was watching my kids, and hearing more about the new products that were announced at convention.

I said to myself, “I will win something tonight, because I win things.”

And then I said to myself, “What if I declare exactly what I want to win?” This part is new for me. Just recently I unearthed that I had a limiting belief that my needs and desires don’t matter. 

Learning this hit me upside the head as well, because I would have told you that I have desires, but after doing the deeper work I realized that I would only ask for so much and then I’d stop.

For fear of being disappointed.
For fear of looking stupid.
For fear of being too much.
For fear of losing my loved ones.
For fear of standing out.
For fear of finding out that I suck.

So here I am sitting in the Embassy Suites saying to myself that I win things and what I’d really love to win was a bottle of the Blue Tansy Essential oil and BAM.

I WON the bottle of Blue Tansy oil. Say what?

I left in a daze. I was excited, but could not believe what just happened. Could it be a coincidence? Or was my mind, my desires, my emotions, my beliefs really that powerful?

You guys I teach this stuff, but this was another level.

The moral of the story is that I’m learning that we must allow ourselves to truly want. When we know what we want and clear out any limiting beliefs in our way. Said another way, when we have all parts of ourselves on board, we have the ability to manifest what we focus on. 

So this spurred a whole experiment of meditation on the feelings and emotions of my largest desires and the results have been crazy. I’ll share the story of how I manifested this Audi Q7 (yes,I really did) in another email tomorrow. That one is still blowing my mind.

So, What Does it Take to Develop Duplication When Growing Your Network Marketing Business? Here are the 5 essential components.

#1: Consistency

We placed consistency at the top of our list, and with good reason, even ahead of leadership skills. Ultimately, it all begins with YOU. If you don’t have a consistent daily method of operation, with crystal clear-cut steps to follow each and everyday, it will be next to impossible to promote network marketing business growth.

Our network marketing business experts recommend that you put a strategic plan in place with a handful of simple steps to follow each and every day. If the job is done right, as a result, your network marketing team will mirror and do what you do.

#2: Proper Communication

This is essential to creating network marketing business growth and duplication. Do everything in your strength to make sure your network marketing team is tuned into your program.

“As a leader you should always start with where people are before you take them to where you want them to go”  – Jim Rohn

Most network marketing companies provide basic marketing tools, trainings, webinars, sizzle calls, etc. As a great network marketing business Leader, it’s always your job to communicate with your downline to make sure they have, know, and understand how to use these tools effectively.

A great network business leader should be able to provide tools outside of the network marketing companies training material as well.

You might also want to start a private Facebook group to provide tips, network marketing training, recruiting material and have each member of your team invite their new recruits to the group as well.

This does a few things which adds value to team and the entire network marketing organization.

It provides a central location for constant communication.

Everyone can share ideas and learn from each other about what’s working, or not working.

  1. Allows new leaders to emerge and causes everyone to remain engaged, excited, and motivated.
  2. Increases network marketing team growth rate.
#4: Personal Development & Growth

The perfect mindset is such a crucial aspect if we are to be successful in anything in life. Especially when trying to build a network marketing business.

Getting clarity on Goal Setting, Time Management, Business Development, Wealth Building, Personal Motivation, and network marketing leadership skills has never been easier than it is today.

While some network marketers are curious about how to create a prospecting list for their network marketing business, others wonder why it’s so essential?

A list is a great way of removing the emotion of always feeling a bit desperate to recruit the next prospect. When you have a list of 300 or 500, you are reminded that your success does not rely on any one individual.  When you only have a list of 5 people, the pressure of prospecting for new recruits is extremely high.

Additionally, a list gives you the availability of immediately going from one person to the next, knowing you always have a variety of people to converse with about your network marketing business.

Having a big list and allowing your new recruits to see the list shows (and teaches) them this is something they need to start on now. This is leveraging your actions and duplicating your network instead of simply just adding to it.

Network Marketing List Building Tips

Now I know that the utter mention of making a list immediately scares some people.  It’s actually not a bad thing at all, you just have to have a list of people you’re going to contact to see if they are open to hearing about the network marketing business opportunity.

Here are 8 tips tips that will help you as you go through the process of creating and writing out your own network marketing prospecting list.

  1. Set a time on your calendar to make your prospects list.
  2. Get a pen and paper and handwrite your list.
  3. Do not prejudge.  As you think of names, write them down.  Don’t second guess things.
  4. Go through your phone and dump out all of your contacts.
  5. Go through your Facebook and write out all of the people you know.
  6. Go through your Yearbooks from college, high school, middle school.
  7. Go through phone directories from your church, organizations, clubs, etc.
  8. Don’t stop until you’re at 100. If you already have 100, go to 200.  It’s great to have at least 500 on your list at any given time, but don’t freak out about that number.  You’ll build it up over time, but you do have to begin somewhere.
Adding New People To Your List

You need to constantly be adding new people to your network marketing business list.  The process is always evolving, thus the reason you always need to be building and adding to your list.

Here are some amazing tips for adding new people to your network marketing list:

  1. As you meet people on social media, add them to your list.
  2. As you meet people through cold market prospecting, add them to your list.
  3. Get involved with volunteer organizations. The relationships established there can be added to your list.
  4. Use Meetup.com to find special interest groups of the activities you enjoy and get involved there. You want to connect with people you naturally are drawn to.
  5. When you add people to your list, connect with them on social media, then use your list to regularly like and comment on their posts and pictures.  You want them to see you, your positive outlook and inspiring nature on Facebook, twitter, instagra. etc.

Find A Reputable Network Marketing Company With Exceptional Promise

Once you discover a reputable network marketing business, we suggest you commit to it. Give it at least a year of proper execution and strategy.  I’ve heard time and time again that failure does not occur in the network marketing business. Quitting usually is what happens, but failure does not happen.  If you are working, talking to people, sharing your network marketing product, and sharing your business opportunity you wil eventually grow.

If you believe in the business model and understand the value of leveraging your network, time and energy but you are not with a company that has the potential you are looking for, we recommend that you find another network marketing business.   

Keep It Simple

I am convinced that some people just like to over-complicate things. The network marketing business succeeds when you duplicate what works, teach your team how to duplicate those same strategies and teach them how to teach their team how to do the same.  There are so many ways to complicate the network marketing business.  We recommend that you stick with what actually works.

Target Prospects Who Get the Network Marketing Business

Network Marketing is a very serious business. Entrepreneurs who understand business and see the vision of how direct sales works are much more likely to join you and partner with you. Find people who influence and look for people who can be your “power partners.”

Furthermore, search for people who will naturally benefit from being in your network marketing business, that’s why ‘mompreneurs’ have come on to the scene so strong in network marketing.  They benefit because they get to balance family and business on their own terms.   As you talk with others and are asking for referrals, let your conversation direct their thoughts to the kind of people who are perfect for your network marketing business and team.

You want referrals that lead you to go-getters, magnets, influencers and people known to be helpful. Additionally, you want to spend your time with the movers and shakers, not the ones you have to convince to join you in business.  You want people who “get it” and are enthusiastic about it as much as you are.

Talk to Everyone

The entire idea behind Network Marketing comes down to the word “leverage.”  

  • How are you leveraging your existing network?

When it comes to how you spend your time, we recommend that you use your time wisely.

Talk to the Masses  

Set up a toll free number with a recorded message or set up a webinar that people can view. As your network marketing team grows, set up training calls where you are training multiple team members at once instead of one-on-on.  Time is valuable and if you can teach people how to leverage their time, everyone benefits.

As you are doing this, you are also training your team that the best use of their time is talking to as many people as possible.  You could realistically meet with five people during the day for coffee.  But what if, instead, you spoke to those five people at one time…or better yet, 20 people at once, or 100 people at once.

The way this plays out may look different for different people, but the idea is the same.  Leverage your time and talk to as many people at one time as possible.

Understand How To Recruit

If you want to grow your network marketing business, you have to grow your team first.  In order to do this, you have to get extremely good at prospecting, inviting and recruiting.

Perfect Your Team’s Craft (Always Be Training)

The power of network marketing is that you utilize the time of others to leverage your time and efforts.  The saying “I would rather have 1% effort from 100 different people than rely on 100% of my own” is so true to me. But those 100 people have to know what they are doing in order to help you succeed.  So train, train, train.

Training is also a great way to stay connected to your team, help keep them motivated, empower them to build their teams and demonstrate leadership and duplication.  Spend a greater percentage of your time with those team member who are displaying the most activity and are duplicating the steps to success.

Empower your team to duplicate what you do and encourage them to lead their teams.  This goes back to leveraging your time and energies.

Create Goals, Benchmarks and Take Decisive Action

Where do you want to be in 6 months?  Do you have a goal and a road map that will get you there?  Break the six months down into intervals that will allow you to measure your progress along the way.  Where do you want to be in 1 year, or 2 years?  

Again, you have to have clearly defined benchmarks and an action plan that will get you there. Writing your goals down is huge.  Writing down the actions to get you there is vital.  But all of it is done in vain if you do not take action to make it all a reality.  You have to know where you are going in order to get there.

Stay On Top Of Your Game

Be the kind of leader who is always working to improve your skills.  Improve your presentations, improve your conversation skills, always find new ways to help and empower people.  Learn from the leaders in your company and leaders in the industry.

One of the great things about network marketing is that there is always room for more growth.  

There’s always room for more business and there’s always room to improve your skills.  Staying on top of your game keeps you in a position to help more people.  Whether directly or indirectly, you are always going to be in contact with people so you want to make certain your people skills are at their best.

Know The In’s and Out’s of Network Marketing

Knowing your network marketing business and the company you work with is essential.  You certainly want to know, understand, teach and promote the best practices from within your company. But you also need to stay informed of the best practices and best technologies from within the entire Network Marketing Industry as well.  

Enjoy Yourself!

Who said you can’t enjoy yourself?  Building a network marketing business, building a team, encouraging a team, working with people – it all makes out for a very fun business!  

If you expect others to join you in your network marketing business, you have to let them see that you’re having fun and that you enjoy what you do. Unfortunately, it seems like most recruiters want to tell you how much money they make.

It is no hidden secret that a variety of us aspire to lead a more fulfilling life than the one that we actually have, but how many of us actually take the time to sit down and work out how we are going to achieve this better life for ourselves and our families? Generally speaking, we have a handful of choices.

Are You Tired Of Your 9-5 Job?

We can either follow the traditional approach of working for an employer and exchanging our time for money at a 9-5 “JOB”, exchanging 40 hours plus of our life every week for a fixed wage.  

One of the fundamental problems with this way of thinking is that we only have a limited amount of time and can only work “X” number of hours per day and “X” number of days per week. This usually means your income is capped because when you are not in work, you are not earning.

If we decide on this option (and don’t worry, most of us do) are you ever going to be able to truly purchase the car that you always wanted to get, take the holidays that you really want to take and live in the house that we truly would like to live in?  

If we are prepared to open our mind and break away from the conventional thinking that has led us so far to a life of compromise and mediocrity, then the only reasonable choice we can make should involve network marketing or becoming an entrepreneur.

The essential difference between a conventional job and running a network marketing business is that network marketing gives you the opportunity to create passive and residual income streams using the power of duplication.  

The best way to explain this is through the concept of the penny that doubles. Would you rather have a million dollars today or a penny that doubles every day for 30 years?  Hopefully you would choose the penny that doubles because by day 30, that penny is worth a lot more than 5 million!!  Welcome to the power of duplication within network marketing!

Consistently practicing personal development skills is often overlooked by a handful of network marketers.

As Jim Rohn Says:Learn to Work Harder on Yourself, Than You Do on Your Job!”

In other words, the more valuable you become as an actual person, the more money you will make because, well, we get paid for bringing “value to the marketplace“.

This certainly pertains to owning a network or internet marketing business.

“Formal education will make you a living; Self-Education will make you a fortune”

We must continually grow and educate ourselves, long after we graduate high school or college. It has been said that when you stop learning, you stop living.

Changing your thinking and sharpening your personal development skills will help you in a variety of ways:

  • It will help you become more valuable
  • Grow your network marketing business
  • And allow you to take it to the next level

If you want to earn more money, learn to become more valuable and share that knowledge with others. Additionally, one of the most essential personal development skills to learn is Goal Setting.

Goal Setting

The most important aspect of goal setting is to write down your goals. Its best to go after your goals by looking at them as an open ended question. If you want to earn more money, (not that money is the most important thing in life) then your goal shouldn’t be, I want to make more money.

Instead ask: How can I earn $500,000 dollars in the next 12-24 months? (be specific, clear, and measurable)

Then, sit down and write out 20 answers to that question. It’s often the most obvious answers that we overlook. By listing 20 answers to the question, it will become easier to see what has been holding you back. Breaking down your life goals into smaller goals/steps will help you achieve your major goal!

Planning

When planning your day, do it the night before. This way you are free of all distractions. If you wait until the morning to plan your day, your day will plan you.

By doing it the night before, the payoff is, all night long your unconscious and subconscious mind will be working on how to make it happen. It will be pulling in information from your past memory into the present so you can utilize it to plan your perfect day. It’s the closest thing to having an employee working for you all night long. If you wait until the morning, you’re going to miss out on this incredibly powerful opportunity.

In closing, the four things we would like you to take away is:

  1. To be successful in any network marketing business, you must first learn how to become more valuable!
  2. Working on personal development skills is just one piece of the puzzle.
  3. Practice reaching Goals by asking specific open ended questions and make a list of at least 20 answers.
  4. Lay out your plan for the following day the night before you got to sleep. This will allow you to focus on the tasks that are most critical for the day.
  5. Regardless of what your goals and dreams are, never give up on them.
  6. If you want something bad enough, and you’re willing to work for it, eventually you will achieve it.
