I was on the hunt for some potent, affordable face masks. I found these Missha modeling masks on a great deal and decided to try them out. The one in this post is the “Rice Powder” and is meant to soothe dry, irritated skin.

Product Description:
Recommended for: – Those who want to soothe irritated skin, those who want to brighten up and revitalize their dull complexion from exhaustion – Those who want to use natural, good ingredients for their skin – Those who want quick results from short term care.
Price:
$6

My Experience with Missha Homemade Modeling Mask Rice Powder:

This face mask by Missha comes in three different versions (Oatmeal, Moong Bean, and Rice), and each is meant to treat a different skincare concern. The finely milled rice powder comes in a small packet and the essence or the modelling comes in a cup packaging which is similar to flavored yogurt container.

How To Use: Open the container containing essence and then add the milled oatmeal powder to the essence. Using the spatula, mix in the two products by stirring in one direction. Using the spatula, apply an even layer over entire face within two to three minutes of mixing (avoiding the eyes and mouth). It is recommended to leave it on for 15 to 20 minutes and allow it to dry so that it attains a rubbery consistency and is easy to peel off. Starting from the edges, gently peel off the mask. Remove any excess with a damp cotton cloth or pad and then follow it with your skincare routine.

Once the two ingredients are well mixed, the mask appears like a thick, gelatinous mass with an orange tint. This product claims to contain all-natural grains for a healthy treat for skin. It is meant to provide soothing and nourishing effect, straight to your skin from naturally-derived ingredients and most importantly, everything you need to make the mask is included in the packaging. There is no need to control the amount of water or make a mess. This powder contains all-natural rice powder which revitalizes skin and vitamin C which brightens the skin complexion. The essence contains aloe vera extract which is hydrating to skin, it contains Gotu cola extract which is soothing and Fig extract which reduced skin irritation.

Upon application, the gelatinous glob does not appear like that it will dry out, let alone peel off, but after 20-30 minutes of drying time, the mask dries just enough to thicken a little and peels off. I really enjoyed peeling the mask off, I felt like I was my peeling my old skin to reveal new skin.

This mask performed as good Dr Jart rubber masks, if not better and is half the price, so I recommend it over the latter. It left my skin shiny and soft and I did not have to wash it after. This mask also prepped skin for further layering of skincare products or makeup application. I did not expect this mask to show instant results, but it did add shine and suppleness to my skin and I will continue using other versions of this mask and other masks by this brand.

Pros of Missha Homemade Modeling Mask Rice Powder:
  • This face mask is an innovative modeling mask formula that penetrates skin more deeply than a sheet mask to deliver high-potency active ingredients.
  • The packaging contains everything except the spatula to prepare the mask.
  • Comes in three different versions.
  • This mask has natural rice powder which revitalizes skin and vitamin C which brightens the skin complexion.
  • It is a fast-acting mask that in one-time use leaves skin radiant and luminous and is definitely a fun experience.
  • This mask performed as good Dr Jart rubber mask if not better and is half the price, so I recommend it over the latter.
Cons of Missha Homemade Modeling Mask Rice Powder:
  • The amount of mask can be used at least twice but it must be used immediately, otherwise it leads to wastage.
  • No spatula is provided.

Would I Recommend Missha Homemade Modeling Mask Rice Powder?
I recommend this product to those who are on the lookout for potent, fast-acting face masks. Also, these Missha modeling masks are half the price of Dr. Jart masks. It is a good change from the regular clay mask. It preps skin well before a special occasion – it is like a facial before a party that adds instant shine to the face. I do recommend this product to others and it’s definitely worth a try. It adds shine to skin and instantly brightens up dull complexion and one cannot get wrong with it.

Every girl wishes to step out with flawless makeup and a good foundation is indispensable to achieve flawless finish. For a lot of women, liquid foundation is their go-to choice than powder or mineral makeup. When using liquid foundation on a daily basis, you would have certain unanswered questions in mind – like, does liquid foundation clog pores? Our answer is, yes, liquid foundation can clog pores only if you use the wrong type of foundation, or if you extremely oily or acne-prone skin. Every skin type is different and one needs to keep their skin type in mind while selecting skincare and makeup products.

To delve into this topic deeper, pores are small openings on the surface of the skin and these pores secrete oil and sweat. The pores act as a conduit of sort to exchange oxygen and carbon dioxide in the skin. If these pores get blocked or clogged, it leads to acne, blemishes and pimples. Clogged pores is a common skin issue regardless of age or gender, acne is usually formed by dead skin cells, debris, dirt, grime, and bacteria clogging the pores. Excessive sebum secreted by the skin also gets clogged into the pores.

What Causes Clogged Pores?
  • Dead skin cells and bacteria build up.
  • Excessively oily skin.
  • Hormonal imbalance.
  • Wrong skincare and makeup products.
  • Not taking off makeup at the end of the day.
Which Skin Type can Safely use Liquid Foundation?

Liquid foundation is one of the most popular types of foundation formulations. Liquid foundation blends easily and works best only for dry skin to normal skin type. Before application, shake the bottle to avoid product separation. Liquid foundation can be applied with a makeup sponge, makeup brush or with clean fingers. It provides high coverage and can be used to hydrate dry skin.

Tips to Avoid Clogged Pores:

How To Deep Clean Pores:

  • Steam your face: Boil water in a large pot, once you see vapours, switch off the stove and pour the water into a large bowl. Using a towel, cover your head and keep the towel on the shoulders. Steam the face for no more than 10 minutes, exceeding time limit can dry out the skin.
  • After steaming, rinse with cold water to rinse off particles and dirt from the pores.
  • Lastly, moisturise the skin well.
  • You can steam once a week to deep cleanse the pores.
  • Use a Clay mask once a week. Clay masks cleans out pores by pulling out dirt, sebum, impurities from the pores and surface of the skin.
  • Exfoliate your skin once or twice a week with a facial scrub. Facial scrub contains tiny exfoliating particles that helps exfoliate the skin and clean the pores. You can use it once a week to thoroughly clean the skin. Use a moisturiser after scrubbing to lock in the moisture.

So, answering the main question, most liquid foundations do not clog pores. When picking up liquid foundations, look for “oil-free”, water-based foundations – these would not clog or block your pores. Alternatively, mineral foundations are a good choice if you have extremely oily or acne-prone skin.

Biotique has launched a few body lotions recently – Biotique Bio Gotu Kola Smooth Skin Lotion and Biotique Bio Coconut Ultra-Rich Body Lotion have previously been reviewed on IMBB. In this post, I am sharing a detailed review on Biotique Bio White Orchid Skin Whitening Body Lotion.

Product Description:
Biotique Bio White Orchid Skin Whitening Body Lotion is enriched with delicate extracts of white orchid, coconut and almond. This ultimate body lotion is a path-breaking innovation in skin lightening with antioxidants, multivitamins and beauty enzymes to give you a fairer, radiant and illuminated skin. Its advanced botanical extracts help to lighten and brighten the skin and also remove tan with regular usage.
Features:
Effective body lotion that soothes and softens skin
Enriched with a rich blend of essentials oils
Has skin brightening properties
Reduces tan, fades spots and gives even skin tone
Has a lightweight texture that is absorbed easily into the skin
Suitable for dry and dehydrated skin

Price:
INR 120 for 100 ml.
Ingredients:
Almond Seed Oil, Orchid Seed Oil Extract, Masoor Seed Extract, Mudga Seed Extract, Narikela Seed Oil, Lotion Base-Q.S.

My Experience with Biotique Bio White Orchid Skin Whitening Body Lotion:

The body lotion comes housed in a small, white plastic bottle and has a green flip open cap. The 100ml bottle is quite small in size and it is perfect for travel purpose. The packaging is simple, sturdy and sleek. The hole in the bottle dispenses the right quantity of product. All the details about the product, directions of use and ingredient list has been mentioned on the bottle. This body lotion is available in 2 different size options of 100ml and 200 ml.

Biotique Bio White Orchid Skin Whitening Body Lotion looks pearly white in color and has a runny texture. It has a mild fragrance which is really pleasant to the senses. The fragrance doesn’t stay for long post application. The formulation spreads well on the skin and gets blended quickly. It gets absorbed fast and doesn’t need much massaging. My skin becomes quite dry and flaky during winters, so I can never skip using a body lotion. This particular variant is enriched with extracts of orchid, coconut and almond.

I don’t need a huge amount of product to cover the entire body. On application, this body lotion softens my skin and leaves a silky smooth finish. The formulation is very gentle to the skin and doesn’t cause any irritation. Biotique Bio White Orchid Skin Whitening Body Lotion feels very lightweight. It imparts decent hydration to the skin. However, the moisture imparted doesn’t last for long during winters. As a result, I need to apply this body lotion frequently.

Now let’s talk about the claims which I feel the product doesn’t live up to. Firstly, it claims to brighten the skin but I have not noticed any brightness. Also, it doesn’t help in fading of tough tan spots or reducing uneven skin tone. All I can say is you will experience a nice glow but it has nothing to do with skin brightening. Other than that, this body lotion performs decently on my dry skin type during dry months but can’t lock in moisture for long. I would have preferred a more intensive body butter to take care of the dryness. This lotion might be more suitable for summer months, but it is too early to comment now.

Overall, this is a nice body lotion with an affordable price tag. It is more of a one-time purchase for me. For my dry skin, I will prefer something with which hydration would last longer. Also, this body lotion does not have any SPF protection, so I will not buy it in the future.

Pros of Biotique Bio White Orchid Skin Whitening Body Lotion:
  • Travel-friendly packaging.
  • Affordable.
  • Good for daily use.
  • Gentle on the skin.
  • Very less quantity needed.
  • Gently nourishes the body.
  • Herbal body lotion. Enriched with orchid extracts.
  • Doesn’t leave behind any greasy feel.
  • Lightweight texture.
  • Gives a soft and silky feel.
  • Nice fragrance.
  • Doesn’t dry out the skin.
  • Softens the skin.
  • Gives a healthy glow.
Cons of Biotique Bio White Orchid Skin Whitening Body Lotion:
  • Fragrance does not last long.
  • Not enough hydrating for winters.
  • Doesn’t lead to skin brightening.
  • No SPF.
  • Doesn’t fade tan marks.
  • Not good in reducing unevenness of skin tone.

Would I Repurchase/Recommend Biotique Bio White Orchid Skin Whitening Body Lotion?
No, I won’t. I do recommend it to people who have oily/combination skin type. It is not meant for very dry skin during winters.

Price and Quantity:
1100 PHP or 1450 INR approximately (USD 18) for 1.7 gm.
Skin Tone:
Medium fair, warm undertones.

Ingredients:

My Experience with Fenty Beauty Mattemoiselle Plush Matte Lipstick Dragon Mami:

I got the lipstick vault from Fenty Beauty containing 10 lipsticks. The vault is limited edition but all the shades in the vault are permanent. The vault is a typical pentagonal-shaped box, arranged in the form of a role and closes securely with a magnetic closure. The lipstick tube is rose gold in color and the mirror finish of the lipstick tube looks very pretty, but it catches fingerprints easily. The brand name is embossed on the side of the lipstick tube. The packaging is not color coded but there is a small color-coded sticker at the base of the lipstick tube. The fonts on the sticker are very small and are not really readable. The cap shuts very securely making the lipstick tube purse friendly. The lipstick bullet is slender and has the brand’s logo engraved on the top. The slanted tip helps to achieve precise application and sharper lip lines without any effort. Overall, the packaging of the lipstick is nice and travel friendly.

Fenty Beauty Mattemoiselle Plush Matte Lipstick Dragon Mami is a beautiful, warm-toned coral color with strong red undertones. This is a beautiful summery shade and it is flattering on fair to medium fair skin tones. It looks pretty on the lips and enhances the entire look. The color is beautiful and vibrant. This shade gives strong summery vibes.

There was a time when I loved coral lipsticks so much, but I have realized recently that I am not using corals anywhere, and I am back to sporting them. I love the color of Fenty Beauty Mattemoiselle Plush Matte Lipstick Dragon Mami on me and I totally adore how brightening the shade is for my skin tone. The closest dupe to this lipstick, which I have found is Faces Ultime Pro Longwear matte Lipstick in the shade Corallista, which is pretty close to Dragon Mami.

Pigmentation wise, the lipstick is amazing. It deposits opaque color in a single swipe. I just apply a second coat to even out the edges. It is capable of hiding lip pigmentation easily. It is capable of hiding the darkest and most severe pigmentation of the lips effortlessly. It applies evenly on the lips without any streaky finish. There is no significant sheen or shimmer in this lipstick.

It applies to a soft and satiny finish and sets to a semi-matte finish after a few seconds of application. The formula is not ultra-matte or powdery matte, but I still love how it looks on my lips. The soft sheen helps to add dimension to the lipstick. There is no fragrance in this lipstick, which is good for people who do not like fragrance in their makeup products.

The texture of the lipstick is incredible. It goes on effortlessly on the lips without any drag, but due to the matte formulation, it easily clings to dry patches of the lips. Hence, prepping the lips well is advisable for smoother and healthier-looking lips. It does not settle into the fine lines of the lips and looks even on the lips.

The lipstick is smudge proof and does not budge at all. It has a tendency to transfer a little but not too much. The lipstick is comfortable to wear, but I would not say it is too lightweight. I can feel the presence of the lip color on my lips but it does not bother me as such. It does not have a thick or waxy kind of a feel. The lipstick formula is neither drying nor hydrating. The formula is comfortable to wear, but if you have extremely dry lips, it is advised to apply a lip balm properly to prevent your lips from drying. It provides a little moisturization to my lips and they do not feel dry even after a long period of time.

The lasting power is incredible. It lasts on my lips for around 6 to 7 hours. It is very easy to remove with a makeup remover because it just wipes off easily without leaving any stain behind.

Pros of Fenty Beauty Mattemoiselle Plush Matte Lipstick Dragon Mami:
  • Nice packaging.
  • Pretty shade.
  • No shimmer.
  • Soft, matte finish.
  • Amazing pigmentation.
  • Hides pigmented lips.
  • Smooth texture.
  • Does not drag on the lips.
  • Smooth application.
  • Smudge proof, non-drying formula.
  • Amazing lasting power.
  • Survive meals.
  • Fragrance free.
  • Easy to remove.
Cons of Fenty Beauty Mattemoiselle Plush Matte Lipstick Dragon Mami:
  • Not very hydrating.

Facial hair is considered to be extremely undesirable as far as women are concerned as it is taken to be a sign of masculinity. Excessive facial growth in women is called as hirsutism and it can result from hormonal imbalances in the female body; PCOD is one of the major reasons why hair shows up on the wrong places in women. It is an embarrassing situation for a lot of women and more than half the population of womenfolk are battling unwanted facial hair on a daily basis with weapons such as shaving, waxing, threading, tweezing, plucking, and laser hair removal. Out of these, only laser hair removal can be considered as more or less a permanent solution to get rid of facial hair. Proper diet, exercise, lifestyle modifications, all can contribute towards a hairless face if you follow them correctly. Adding these vitamins would also help you get rid of the fuzz on the face. Learn how to use these vitamins to stop facial hair growth.

1. Vitamin B6: Vitamin B6 inhibits the production of prolactin hormone in female body which is a hormone that’s responsible for releasing testosterone which causes facial hair in women. This vitamin can be found in avocados, fish, organ meats, soybeans, walnuts, peanuts, whole grains, spinach, bananas, and other fruits. Vitamin B6 is also available in supplement form, i.e., in the form of tablets and capsules.

2. Vitamin E: Vitamin E is not only great for skin and hair, it’s great to inhibit the growth of facial hair too. Vitamin E can counter the effect of androgens and reduce testosterone levels in the body. Vitamin E can regulate the production of androgens which in turn reduces the effect of testosterone. Incorporating foods rich in vitamin E can help you to reduce excess facial hair. Foods rich in vitamin E are spinach, avocado, broccoli, sunflower seeds, almonds, peanuts, pumpkin seeds, etc.

3. Magnesium, Zinc, and Copper: Magnesium, zinc, and copper can also help in the prevention of facial hair by decreasing the effect of testosterone. Magnesium can be taken in through foods like soybeans, whole grains, seeds, nuts etc. Zinc is found in pumpkin seeds, peanuts, dark chocolate etc. You can ask your doctor to write you supplements for zinc as well. Spirulina, leafy green vegetables, sunflower seeds, chickpeas, lentils, cashews, almonds, chia seeds, raisins, sesame seeds are all rich in copper.

4. Calcium-D-Glucarate: Calcium-D-Glucarate can get rid of toxins from your body and if there are no toxins, there will be less hormonal imbalance, and less facial hair growth. Calcium-D-Glucarate is available in supplement form on the prescription of doctors.

5. Diindolylmethane: It’s a compound that will not only help you reduce facial growth, it will re-balance your hormones in a way that you can get rid of melasma and hyperpigmentation too. A good supplement dose can be best prescribed by your doctor.

5. Vitamin A: Vitamin A regulates the testosterone level in the body and in turn reduces the facial growth. It has the same function as that of Vitamin B6. The most natural sources of Vitamin A are papaya, carrots, sweet potato, green leafy vegetables, pumpkin, milk, fish, etc.

You can consume these vitamins in the recommended levels to stop hair growth on your face.

In this post, I am reviewing Parachute Cocolipid and Almond Body Oil. Read on for more details on this body oil.

Product Description:
Experience the power of 5 benefits and enhanced radiance with Parachute Advansed Body Oil that is enriched with nourishing almond oil and breakthrough COCOLIPDTM Formula.
Price:
INR 299 for 250 ml.

Ingredients:

My Experience with Parachute Cocolipid and Almond Body Oil:

Parachute Advansed Cocolipid and Almond Body Oil comes in a pretty curvy, semi-transparent, light golden bottle with a screw cap. There are different size variants available too. It has a pointed nozzle that dispenses a good amount of oil, but the bottle gets a little messy after a few uses.

This oil contains Cocolipid and Almond oil, and we all know the goodness and benefits of these two ingredients and how they add nourishment to the skin. Parachute Cocolipid and Almond Body Oil has a light yellow-colored, medium to thin consistency that glides well on the skin and blends easily upon massage. It feels lightweight and non greasy, gets absorbed quite well too. It’s just so perfect to use as a daily body oil, protects skin from damage and helps you achieve healthy skin. This body oil also has a nice fragrance which is pleasant and soothing.

Parachute Cocolipid and Almond Body Oil can be used in two ways – you can apply it right after shower and leave it without wiping it off. This way, you would get instantly glowing and deeply moisturized skin. My skin feels soft and smooth after applying this body oil. It doesn’t feel heavy or greasy, so there is no fear of the oil staining your clothes. It goes into the skin deeply and keeps body hydrated.

You can also apply the oil before taking shower, massage the oil on your body all over and keep it on for 15 minutes, and then proceed to take the shower. I prefer this way to use this body oil and I feel it works amazingly as a pre-bath oil. This body oil clears dryness and improves texture of the skin. Once you feel the oil has absorbed properly, proceed to take shower, but only with water, skipping the soap, and it will keep you hydrated throughout. Also, you can use your body wash, and even after that, my skin always feels super nourished; I can feel the softness and smooth texture. My skin actually looks healthy. I love to do this pre-bath body oil spa twice a week.

Though it not super moisturizing for extremely rough or dry weather, for normal to dry body type, it works really good and regular use also helps in repairing the texture. It’s an oil for almost all skin types and for all age groups. Even my parents enjoy using it.

During these wintery days, the hydration that this body oil provides lasts for 5 hours (when you use it after shower). I wish it stays a bit longer, but it will last longer when you apply it before your bath and follow up with a body lotion afterwards.

Summing up, it’s a budget-friendly body oil for daily use,  but the biggest concern is the presence of mineral oil which skin care experts ask us to avoid because of the presence of potential toxins in mineral oil.

Pros of Parachute Cocolipid and Almond Body Oil:
  • Affordable.
  • Smells good.
  • Soft, smooth, lightweight formula.
  • Blends and absorbs well.
  • Non sticky, non greasy, and non patchy body oil.
  • Makes skin soft, smooth and hydrated.
  • Adds a healthy glow to the skin.
  • Takes care of dryness, repairs texture of skin.
  • Good for all skin types.
Cons of Parachute Cocolipid and Almond Body Oil:
  • Wish the hydration stays a little better as a post-bath oil.
  • Contains mineral oil (it’s the first ingredient in the list).

Would I Recommend/Repurchase Parachute Cocolipid and Almond Body Oil?
I would repurchase, but if you are strictly against mineral oil in products, I do not recommend this body oil.

By Sonu Bohra. I read somewhere that avid makeup “wearers” apply upto 5 pounds of makeup in their lifetime, which got me thinking: what exactly are we applying on our faces? Our skin is the largest organ of our body, so are we taking adequate care of it? My initial response was yes, of course. I had a dedicated skin regime, come exhaustion, drunken nights or worse – laziness, I combated it all to follow my strict routine. Then as I read some more, I started to think about the chemicals in those products (most of which I could barely pronounce).

Body:

The basic fact that changed my mind was that I quickly shifted to organic/clean food products when I realized the harmful use of fertilizers and toxins. So why would I subject my skin to them? It was this small yet obvious logic that made me make the switch.Other than that, many speculate the long-term effects of these products because the chemicals work as endocrine disruptors. Chemicals such as lead, parabens, formaldehyde, PEGs and phthalates (to name a few) are frequently used in your everyday beauty products such as shampoos, lotions, foundations, perfumes, deodorants, lip glosses and so much more. I don’t want to delve more on the science of the topic because I’m still learning and don’t want to cause panic with half information. So I suggest you do your own research. Here’s what I’m avoiding: Parabens, phthlates, sulfate, DEA/MEA/TEA, gycols.

Mind:

I purged my entire beauty cabinet and donated all my precious Huda lipsticks, Becca highlighters, Marc Jacobs bronzers. The initial setback was real, I felt naked and relieved at the same time. Now all my makeup fits in a tiny pouch and it’s kind of exhilarating and freeing. The purge taught me that less is more. I have explored my three new lipsticks as a blush, eyeshadow and lipstick of course. I have a few carefully-formulated, researched and thought-out products that aim to reset your skin back to its healthiest, best state.

Environment:

Most of my makeup as you can see is from Kjaer Weis, who revolutionized clean makeup and made it luxurious. Her packaging doesn’t quite make me miss my Guerlain lipsticks as much I imagined. But under the beautiful packaging is a wonderful idea of refills. I’ve already bought my refill for my foundation and can’t tell you how happy I am. Besides that, all these brands are cruelty-free and avoid plastic packaging as much as possible. Even these RMS Beauty highlighters come in tiny glass bottles.

Expense:

I won’t lie, it has been a little expensive to buy all of these products. But also mostly because I did the whole haul at once. I swapped my makeup, deodorants, shampoo etc all at one time, but overall, I think it will equalize because I can’t go make an impulse purchase at the MAC store next door.

This entire exercise has certainly made me realize the importance of mindfulness. Now, my impulse isn’t to check if I have that lipstick shade but instead check if the brand is devoid of animal testing, what are the ingredients they use and how transparent they are about them.

Dirty little secret:
After that whole rant, it’s only fair I share that I have saved my Luminous Silk Foundation by Giorgio Armani Beauty, a handful of Guerlain lipsticks and Fenty Beauty highlighters for a rainy day. They’re all stashed in a little pouch under my vanity like letters from an old boyfriend I don’t want my husband to see. Here’s hoping they stay there!

Brands I love:

Kjaer Weis
RMS Beauty
Goop Beauty
Lilah B
Briogeo

My Experience with Fenty Beauty Mattemoiselle Plush Matte Lipstick Thicc:

Fenty Beauty Mattemoiselle Plush Matte Lipstick Thicc is a beautiful, warm mauve n*de lipstick. I am a sucker for mauve n*de lipsticks. I have so many of them, each with a different hue, but I still would say I have nothing as perfect as Fenty Beauty Mattemoiselle Plush Matte Lipstick Thicc. This is the perfect MLBB shade for medium fair skin with warm undertones. This is an incredible lipstick, I love the color. It looks so natural on the lips. It is the perfectttt MLBB lipstick for me. I have found two dupes for this lipstick – Marc Jacobs Le Marc Liquid Lip Creme in Slow Burn and Urban Decay Vice Lipstick Ravenswood Cream.

This is a beautiful everyday shade and it is flattering on fair to medium skin tones. It will go well with a wide variety of Indian skin tones. It looks so natural on the lips that it does not look like I am wearing a lip color. The color of Fenty Beauty Mattemoiselle Plush Matte Lipstick Thicc is beautiful and subtle.

Pros of Fenty Beauty Mattemoiselle Plush Matte Lipstick Thicc:
  • Nice packaging.
  • Pretty shade.
  • No shimmer.
  • Soft, matte finish.
  • Amazing pigmentation.
  • Hides pigmented lips.
  • Smooth texture.
  • Does not drag on the lips.
  • Smooth application.
  • Smudge proof.
  • Non-drying formula.
  • Amazing lasting power.
  • Survive meals.
  • Fragrance free.
  • Easy to remove.
Cons of Fenty Beauty Mattemoiselle Plush Matte Lipstick Thicc:
  • Not very hydrating on the lips.

Peeling pads are a new fad in the game of chemical exfoliation. I am yet to explore more of this genre of skincare, but so far, I have tried ones from Shea Moisture and Formula 10.0.6, both of which I enjoyed and I also love these Skinfix Facial Exfoliating Pads.

Product Description:
Banish dullness and reveal smoother, more radiant and healthy skin with Skinfix Facial Exfoliating Pads. Each textured pad is formulated with a blend of natural glycolic, salicylic and lactic acids to gently lift away embedded impurities and spent skin cells. Sugar Cane, Willow Bark and Australian Lime Pearl Extracts deliver natural AHAs to accelerate skin’s own renewal process.
Price:
$30

Ingredients:

My Experience with Skinfix Facial Exfoliating Pads:

This is my first time using a product from the brand Skinfix. I had not heard about it till I came across it in my local drugstore. The packaging looked high-end and the ingredient list looked benign and beneficial to skin. This skin care brand is highly promoted on QVC, has good reviews on Ulta, and lauded on the Allure website, so I do not regret putting my fate in a brand I had not really cared for before or never used before.

These cotton pads come in a plastic, round box with a screw on lid. The packing is in white color with lime green color lid and has a detailed description on the packaging. The cotton pads are made of cotton, there size is larger than most peeling pads and are mildly textured on one side and smooth on the other. These pads are uniformly soaked in the peeling solution by are not dripping wet. One pad is saturated enough to cover face, neck and décolleté area with the peeling solution.

These pads are infused with a blend of natural glycolic, salicylic and lactic acids to gently remove embedded impurities in the pores and remove dead skin cells. It also contains sugar cane, Willow Bark and Australian Lime Pearl Extracts that are natural sources of AHAs to accelerate skin’s own renewal process. These pads are extremely gentle and do not sting as some products with peeling acids do.

They do not have unpleasant smell rather they have no smell whatsoever. These wipes are gentle for everyday use and turn skin red for a moment that too if used from the abrasive side. This pad is particularly good for those who suffer from hyperpigmentation or acne scarring and cannot afford treatments like laser or micro needling. Chemical acids are a more affordable option even though they are not as fast performing as other treatments mentioned earlier. These pads do make skin sensitive to sun exposure and a good SPF is essential and they should not be mixed with vitamin C skincare routine. Overall, I love these pads, they perform well, and I recommend it to those who suffer from hyperpigmentation and scars.

Pros of Skinfix Facial Exfoliating Pads:
  • These are potent peeling pads with an impressive ingredient list.
  • One cotton pad is enough for face, neck, and décolleté
  • The pads do not dry out once the packaging is opened.
  • These pads are 98% natural and allergy tested, pH balanced.
  • Free of synthetic fragrance, sulfates, parabens, phthalates, gluten, dairy, soy or dyes.
  • Provides gentle exfoliation of skin without irritating skin or causing excessive exfoliation.
  • Kickstarts skin’s own renewal process and reveals radiant and healthy skin beneath.
Cons of Skinfix Facial Exfoliating Pads:
  • These pads make skin sensitive to sun exposure and a good SPF is essential.

Would I Recommend Skinfix Facial Exfoliating Pads?
I recommend these peel pads to others as they provide gentle exfoliation to skin, combat hyperpigmentation and acne scars. They will suit most skin times and are fast acting.
