Here are the pictures from our trip.  Thank you, Mr. Ochoa, for sending me yours.  Students had a great time panning for real fake gold, playing on the enormous playground, petting animals in the farmyard, and hiking across the Overland trail with their wagon train.  Enjoy!

I want to give special recognition to Chrystal for being our classroom representative in the school speech contest. Her speech was great and well-delivered. She bravely presented in front of the entire 4th, 5th, and 6th grade.  We are so proud of you, Chrystal!

Way to go!

Please Support Pennies for Patients!

Hedenkamp students will be taking part in The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) Pennies for Patients program from February 6th– 24th.
During this program, students will collect money to support LLS’ mission:

Cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families.

Students will learn about service, leadership, philanthropy and how they can make a difference by changing patients’ lives.
Hedenkamp has its own online giving page that students, parents and faculty can share with friends and family: http://events.lls.org/pages/sd/Hedenkamp-Elementary-School-2017
Thank you in advance for helping LLS to create a world without blood cancers!
