The Munich-based architect Ute Linck Borys already has ten years of experience with design and production of bags and accessories, when in spring 2015, on her permanent search for new materials, she discovers the water-resistant craft paper made in Germany. She names this material "Zell.Stoff" and develops a new collection of bags and pouches under the label "like paper bags".
Last week we got a delivery of the new material: it is already “pre-wrinkled” and therefore much softer, but just as durable as the smooth version. The look is even more like leather, or like elephant skin – some may know the term as a term for papers that are robust and marbled. In our case, the Zell.Stoff actually “wrinkles”.
Until the beginning of May we will make various samples to see which models fit this soft Zell.Stoff. Of course, you will find the results here in the blog and in the product catalog. From May, these items will be available to order, initially we will offer only the colour chocolate.
At the summer fairs we will present the samples to a larger audience.
