Hello lovelies! For today’s post I thought I would talk about my final semester of uni and my plans for after these 12 weeks are over. So I’m in week 3 now of my last semester at uni, and I’m studying a media related degree. I’ve just started my last semester and honestly I’m not quite sure where the time has gone. It seems like only yesterday that I had my first day up at uni, getting lost trying to find the bus stop and navigating the university’s online system. And now, three years on I know the place like the back of my hand.
I’ve thought long and hard about what I want to do when I’m finished the course, when I started the programme I was sure that I wanted to work in television production. But over the last three years I’ve deviated further and further away from that career path. I thought that I would adore the practical subjects of my degree, whereas in reality it was the theory based modules that interested me far more. So the dream of working in television production, which is still something that interests me became less of the path I was going to follow due to my dislike of some of the practical modules and instead I’ve been left with many options to consider.
All in all there are many routes that I can take after this degree is over. I can go on and continue my study with a postgraduate degree, I can apply for a graduate job or to get accepted onto a graduate program. There is one graduate program specifically that I would absolutely love to apply to when it opens for applications. I could also take a gap year next year because I am only twenty one and then decide what I want to do. The problem is, I’m not a very decisive person when it comes to things like this. But for now, the focus remains doing well in my degree and all other decisions can come after. I really do believe that if its meant to be it will happen!
Hello Lovelies, I hope your all doing well and having a good weekend! For today’s post I’m going to be doing a review of the L’Oréal Infallible Fixing Mist!
So I mentioned in a previous post about how I had completely fallen in love with the Barry M fixing mist and so when I seen the L’Oréal fixing mist in Boots I thought I just had to try it! At a price point of €12 it wasn’t as cheap as the Barry M fixing mist but I was excited to give it a go!
My initial reaction to the fixing mist was a positive one, it set my makeup so well and it didn’t budge throughout the day which is of course perfect for a fixing mist! However after my first few uses of it I suddenly found that when I was spraying the mist I was getting white splodges and dots across my makeup which would not come off! I’m really not sure why that is, especially because I’ve followed the instructions of how to spray the mist correctly! I’m really not sure where I’m going wrong with it because when I initially used it I absolutely loved it!
If I can figure out where I’m going wrong with it, it’s a product that I would definitely add to my everyday makeup routine!
Have any of you guys tried this fixing mist? If you have what are your thoughts?
Well hello lovelies! It’s been quite a while! I’ve taken rather an extended break from blogging over the summer because honestly I felt really dissatisfied with my blog. I often found that I wasn’t writing about the things that I wanted to because I felt like people wouldn’t want to read them. Of course I love favourites posts and makeup reviews they are some of my absolute favourite blog posts to read, but I also love writing lifestyle posts too and I would always think that people wouldn’t want to read them! But after taking some time away from my blog and really missing it, I’ve decided to start posting again and I’m honestly really excited to be back!
So I thought for my first post back that I would do a bit of a life update! This year is my final year at university and so far it has been such a roller coaster! I’m in a media related course and whilst the workload has always been difficult it has also always been manageable. However this year the workload has been so intense this year so far! And honestly what adds to that stress is one of my ten credit modules which I really dislike has an extremely intense workload! I think I’m managing to get on top of things now, but the first few weeks of third year have been very tough!
I’m also still working part time during the week and the weekends so finding that balance between work and such an intense workload has been a little bit trial and error!
Thank you so much for reading guys! I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!
Hello Lovelies! I hope your all doing well and having a nice week! I thought that today I would do a review of the L’Oréal True Match Foundation because this has become my holy grail foundation.
So the shade that I use is the 1.R/1.C Rose Ivory, I’m not sure if this is the lightest shade that they do, but it’s pretty light because I have extremely pale skin. I had seen so many people raving about this foundation online, and honestly I can definitely understand why!
I’ve been buffing out the foundation with the Blank Canvas F20 brush (which also I must add is an amazing brush!). The foundation blends like a dream, and it gives me the level of coverage that I’ve been searching for. I would personally describe the coverage as medium, it’s not super heavy on the skin is something which I really love about it. It does feel lightweight on my skin whilst still giving me a great level of coverage.
Another reason that I have completely fallen in love with this foundation is its longevity. For me, when I buy a new foundation its longevity is something that is so so important because there’s nothing more annoying than when your in work for the day and your makeup has worn off your face. But this foundation lasts all day! Even through being at work for nine hours it’s still in a good condition.
I’m already on my second bottle of this foundation because no other foundation seems to be living up to it at the minute! And at around €15 the price is very good for what your getting in terms of the quality of the product. Along with this in Boots or even in Tesco (if your local Tesco sells makeup) a lot of the time L’Oréal foundations are on offer for 3 for 2 or something similar!
Have you tried this foundation? If you have what were your thoughts?
Hello Lovelies! It feels like its been ages since I’ve done a favourites post, the days are flying by and all of the months seem to be blending into one! But I have a few products that I have been using every day for the month of June and that I have been absolutely loving! So my first favourite for the month of June is the L’Oréal True Match Foundation, this is a foundation that I had heard so many people talking about and I wanted to try it for ages but whenever I saw it in Boots or any other pharmacy they never seemed to have the lighter shades in stock. But one day luckily I found my shade which is the lightest shade and I haven’t looked back ever since! I can see why this gets so many positive reviews because it has honestly become my favourite foundation! It stays on all day and I love the coverage that it gives! In fact I’ve loved it so much that I’ve just purchased my second bottle of this foundation! I also love pairing it with the L’Oréal Infallible Mattifying Base Primer. I’m not sure if I’ve mentioned this primer before but it’s a really great primer! It makes your face tacky and smooths over your pores which makes the foundation sit so much better on your face.
I have also been loving the L’Oréal Miss Baby Roll Mega Volume Mascara lately, it’s been the only mascara that I’ve used for the last two months. I just love the volume and separation that it gives to my lashes!
The Penneys PS Highlighter has become my go to highlighter because of its pigmentation and durability. Highlighters weren’t something that I was massively into but after using this highlighter I’ve gotten really into them! And this Penneys highlighter which is super cheap and affordable is a great go to if your on a budget!
And my last favourite for the month of June is the Seventeen Gel Colour Nail Polish, in the shade Mint Cooler. I am such a huge fan of mint nail varnish, I just think mint green is such a pretty colour and it’s actually one of my favourites!
So that’s it for my June Favourites guys! What were your favourites for the month?
Hello lovelies! I hope your all doing well and enjoying the summer so far! I recently purchased the NYX Tame & Frame Brow Pomade in Boots and I was really excited to try it because I only have one lip product from NYX and I’ve heard really good things about the NYX brand.
So I picked this up in Boots and it cost me €8, which is a little more than I would usually pay for brow products because my usual go to brow product is the Rimmel Brow This Way Kit which is around the €5 mark. At first I struggled to get to grips to the formula because it was very pigmented and that pigmentation meant that making mistakes when filling in your brows weren’t as easy cover as when I had been using powder. I won’t lie it did take me a few attempts to get the hang of filling in my brows using it. But I have completely fallen in love with this product!
The shade I got is 02 Chocolate and it matches my hair really well! The longevity of this product is amazing, it is so long lasting. I’ve used it in the morning time and it’s still been perfectly in position in the evening time!
Another thing that I really love about this pomade is that it really defines my brows, it gives them a look that I hadn’t been able to achieve before with powdered products!
I really would recommend the NYX Tame & Frame Brow Pomade because its so pigmented and long lasting and just feels like a high end product!
So that’s all for this post guys! Hope you all have a great weekend!
Hello Lovelies! I hope your all having a good week! Today I’m going to be reviewing the Primark/Penney’s PS Highlighters, something that I have completely fallen in love with over the last few weeks!
So I picked up these two shades from Penneys and they are the shades Champagne and Ice, they were only €3.50 each which is so cheap! I picked them up because I had seen a couple of people talking about these highlighters online and I wanted to see if they were any good!
And I can honestly say that these highlighters are amazing! They are so so pigmented, one swatch leaves so much product on your finger and I was so surprised by this because I hadn’t expected the pigmentation to be as good as it is. The silver Ice highlighter is my favourite and I have been wearing it every single time that I have makeup on! They last all day which is amazing! I’ve worn these highlighters during the day and on nights out too! Before buying these I wasn’t massively into highlighters, I had a couple which I thought were nice but honestly after using these I don’t think I could wear my makeup without a highlighter!
I cannot recommend these highlighters enough! For €3.50 they are an absolute steal! Penneys have some real gems with regards to their makeup!
Hello lovelies! Today I’m going to be reviewing the L’Oréal Miss Baby Mega Volume Mascara because I have completely fallen in love with it!
Firstly, the packaging of this mascara is so pretty! I absolutely love the black and baby pink colours together and the mint green ties it all together perfectly! This is my favourite packaging that L’Oréal have released to date, I just think the colour scheme is so aesthetically pleasing!
The mascara definitely lives up to the mega volume statement, it gives so much volume and separation to my lashes! And the best part is that one coat will achieve this! It never goes clumpy or gives that bumpy look to your lashes!
This has become my holy grail mascara, I love everything about it! I really feel that L’Oréal are absolutely dominating with their products at the minute!
Hello Lovelies! I hope you are all well and having a fabulous Saturday! I thought I would do a chatty post today about what I’ve been up to these past few weeks!
So the last couple of weeks have been completely dominated by continuous assessments for uni. Between essays, quizzes, reading reviews and video documentaries it has been a very busy few weeks! This semester is now over but I still have exams to go! But once exams are over it will finally be summer! Which I am very excited for!
This week I’ve had a week’s holiday from work which has been so nice because I’ve spent the last few days catching up with friends and catching up on some well needed sleep too! I’ve also done a fair bit of shopping too! Expect a couple of reviews coming your way soon! So all in all it’s been a great few days!
I’m really excited about this summer because it will give me more time to work on my blog, which I absolutely love.
Hello Lovelies! Although I am a little late to this, today I’m doing a review of the L’Oréal Pure Clay Detox Mask.
I have seen so many people talking about this mask that I had to try it. And honestly, I am so impressed! The smell of the mask reminds me of tea, it has a light scent that’s not overbearing, which is good because you have to leave it on for between five to ten minutes.
I have noticed that as soon as I’ve used it my blackheads are reduced and my pores are so much smaller! My skin always feels so soft after using it.
It’s also so relaxing to sit and do a face mask! I absolutely love L’Oréal Products and their skincare range is also fabulous!
