How to install Tape Hair Extensions - YouTube

Are you looking on how to install our beautiful tape hair extensions? Watch our short but to the point video on tape hair extension installation.

First, section off the hair. Starting from the bottom of the head, sandwich very thin slices of your own hair between 2 pieces of the tape extensions. The hair should be thin enough that both both extensions can stick together securely. You should be able to feel your fingers between the hair. Attach the bottom piece first and then secure the top piece over top the bottom extension and your own hair. Press firmly to hold. You can even use a pair of pliers to help press firmly for better hold. Never use heat. It will melt the tape. Finish off all the sections. You should have about 5 rows up once completed. Then blend to perfection.

Projected Growth in the hair extension industry.

The world of hair extensions is booming due to rising incomes, waves of fame and emergence of new technologies for the application of enlargement. However, a complex production process can limit market growth. According to www.esticastresearch.com, the hair extension market is expected to increase 4.1% of the CAGR in the 2018-2023 forecast. The women’s hair extension segment in 2016 brought the largest share of revenues to the global hair extension market.

However, every company claims they have the best quality hair, but how can you differentiate? Most clients pay a lot for their hair, so there are always adding pressure to get high-quality extensions.  Dry hair is one of the main reasons for a stylist’s frustration. Moisture is the most crucial factor in determining customers’ hair extensions.

When the moisture content of the hair falls below 10-10.2% (though these depends on the type of hair and the degree of humidity of the environment), the hair looks like brittle straw as opposed to subtle green grass.

KmXtend’s hair is soft and luxurious, yet strong and durable. The coloring process is gentle and not put through harsh acids which strips the hair cuticle. The cuticles remain intact and running in the same direction.  The hair is double drawn which means all of the hair is the same length and the ends are just as thick as the top of the hair bundle.

KmXtend understands the most important aspect of human hair extensions is QUALITY!  Consistent quality!  There are many different industry brand hair extensions AND many different hair extension quality levels as well. A majority of hair extensions on the market are imported from manufacturers in China. It is VERY easy to tell which products are mass produced and imported for pennies overseas, especially considering the uniform packaging and hair bundle closure seen on 99.9% of imported lessor quality hair products.  Between the packaging as well as the quality, these days it is not difficult to determine which products truly contain human hair and are of good quality.    You will see right from the bond, exactly just how pre-bonded extensions shed and tangle.   Buyer beware of the less expensive hair extensions that all portray a VERY similiar look of their origin. Remember, these products will be attached to YOUR own hair OR your clients hair leading back to a stylists reputation so its best to know exactly what you are working with AND spending your pennies on!
The number one question remains: “Is it really 100% pure remy human hair / hair extensions?”  The number one guideline:  “You get what you pay for.”  Less expensive, cheaper hair extensions are cycled through acids destroying the varied directional cuticle (non-remy).  That same hair is covered with silicone in order to pose as top remy human hair.  After a few washes, the silicon has diminished and the hair shows it’s true value.  The bond is typically polymer based, i.e. glue!  Human hair does not shrivel upon heating nor does pure keratin become stringy during fusion process.  This “soft, stringy” type of bond opens the door to many issues such retained moisture within the bond, fungus and mold as well as scalp dematitis!
The other end of the spectrum is the better quality brands’ over exaggerated pricing verses those shown on our poor quality hair comparison chart prohibit average individuals to continue their hair extension maintenance and routine applications year round.  This alone causes many to over-wear their extensions, leading to an array of issues and damage.  It is asked that all have our hair compared and tried to ANY brand marketed worldwide!  We are 110% sure that you will find that our hair is actually of a HIGHER quality as well as consistency.  We would not offer free samples if our statements were not supported by the true quality of our human hair extensions.

If you are considering hair extensions then you will need to make a choice as to what type of hair extensions you want. There are three main options – Chinese, Cuticle Aligned, and European. European is quite expensive and the average person will usually pass them up due to the cost. That leaves Chinese and Cuticle Aligned hair extensions. The difference between the two is important to know because it will help you to make the right choice.

Chinese hair extensions are your least expensive option. This type of hair extension is coarse and thick. The texture requires that the hair be chemically treated before it can be used in hair extensions. After the treatment, it lacks shine and has a rough texture. Many Chinese hair extensions are coated with silicon to give it a shine and make it more appealing. This coating will wash off after a few washes, though, and the hair will lack the shine from then on. Due to the processing, it will not dye well and is not very durable.

Cuticle Aligned hair extensions, also referred to as Remy hair, are fine with a good shine. The natural, non-processed Cuticle Aligned hair is perfect for hair extensions. It is similar in structure to the expensive European hair extensions. It has great shine and looks very healthy. It is available in a range of styles and is easy to maintain and care for. The life span is rather long, too. It can be dyed without damage so you get a perfect match to your own hair color. Overall, you get a great value for your money.

Chinese hair extensions are available in large supplies which is why it is very easy to find and available at rock bottom prices. It is just not a high quality product. You will probably end up spending more over a span of time on Chinese hair extensions then you would if you had just got Cuticle Aligned hair extensions in the first place because you will have to do multiple replacements of the Chinese hair extensions to just one purchase of the Cuticle Aligned hair extensions. You will have better looking hair for a longer period of time when you choose Cuticle Aligned hair extensions.

When you go to buy hair extensions take a good look at them and ask what type of hair they are. You should look to see if they are coated or if they are genuine Cuticle Aligned hair extensions. If you want the best value then you must go for Cuticle Aligned hair extensions. This will give you the results you want at a good price.

If you are going to spend money and time getting hair extensions then you need to make sure that you are getting the best deal. There are many companies out there that try to pass off low quality hair for high quality hair. You have to educate yourself so that you can get good quality hair extensions for your money and not get ripped off by cheap imitations.
