We recently bought a Costco membership, and I’ve been delighted by all the healthy food options available at their stores. I came across this “Naan” bread on my last visit, and thinking it was what my oldest son had wanted me to try years ago, purchased it. Unfortunately after talking to him, it wasn’t what […]

My sweet daughter-in-law was having a little get together at her home this week, and asked me to bring a fruit tray. I wanted to make it a little special and fun, so I made this scrumptious dip to go with it. It’s so yummy and addicting!

It’s also so easy and fast, that you can literally throw it together in 5 minutes!

INGREDIENTS:

8 ounces cream cheese
8 ounces marshmallow fluff
8 ounces cool whip (I used light)
1 Tablespoon maraschino cherry juice (liquid)
A good selection of your favorite fruits, washed

Whip all the ingredients together with your mixer, because cream cheese is hard to mix by hand, and this way will make any lumps all nice and smooth, and the dip fluffy and creamy!

I’m not typically a huge cookie fan, so when I have a cookie, I want it to be worth eating. Most of my family members would say that peanut butter cookies are their absolute favorite cookie, but I’ve always felt they were a bit dry and crumbly for me. So I’ve worked with the ingredients in the cookie batter, until I had a peanut butter cookie that wasn’t crumbly and falling apart. Instead, it was tender and a tiny bit chewy, just like I like them.

Do you need some inexpensive meal ideas that will fill up your family? When I was first married, almost 30 years ago, my husband and I kept a $30 a week grocery budget. We ate things like mac and cheese, brown beans and cornbread, grilled cheese and tomato soup, and other inexpensive menu options. But we never felt lacking! In fact, I wrote a post about those meals 3 years ago, and you can find LOTS of cheap meal ideas and recipes, here:  40 Extremely Low Cost Meal Ideas.

Don’t you LOVE a good easy dinner recipe, that EVERYONE in your family will eat!? I sure do! This super easy Crockpot BBQ Chicken Thighs dinner recipe is just one of those recipes!

It’s so simple that I can hardly call it a recipe. But I enjoy making it because it reminds me of my sister, since she shared the recipe, and because I know it’s something my picky eaters will eat without complaining!
