Hey everyone, today I’m sharing a casual 4th of July outfit with Brahmin that you can wear all summer long. I recently visited the Hamptons with my friend Krystal from A Pinch of Lovely and had the best time drinking rosé and eating lots of lobster and fries at the Gurney’s Montauk Resort. We had some beautiful weather, but I wouldn’t exactly call it swimsuit weather so I wore these cutoff shorts and white linen top on the beach with my new Mini Dartmouth Melbourne backpack from Brahmin. It fits way more than just my essentials. I was able to fit all of my must-have items like touch-up makeup, sunglasses, my wallet and phone. Plus I was able to stuff a bottle of water and a small towel to bring down to the beach. I highly recommend using the Mini Dartmouth Melbourne backpack while traveling to keep your hands free and it allows you to pack extra necessities.

Happy Monday everyone, I hope you all had a nice weekend. I just arrived to the Hamptons and it’s pouring outside so we’re stuck indoors, which I can’t really complain about since I love lounging around in my hotel robe and ordering room service. Plus now I have time to write this blog post for you.
As most of you know, I’m a huge fan of wearing bright colors in the summer, but I also love a monochromatic look like this head-to-toe nude outfit that I styled in today’s post. I packed a lot of looks like this for the Hamptons including these blush heels by Vince Camuto. I always find some of the best nude heels and wedges at Vince Camuto like the pair I featured in this post—> The Handbag Everyone Will Be Wearing This Season

The perforated block heels are so flattering and elongating in this blush color, but see more of my top Vince Camuto shoes in the widget below.

| Shop My Top Brahmin Bags |
Brahmin makes beautiful, quality bags for every age. I can easily shop on their site to find a bag that suits my style as well as my younger sister, my mom and even grandmother. All of their bags are very versatile, well-made and timeless. I also love their more trendy bag styles as well like this Lane Crawford Bag. The round shape and circle handles is right on trend for this season.
As you can see in the above photo, the Lil Topsail Bagcan also be worn as a crossbody bag or you can completely remove the strap to use as clutch or pouch to throw in larger tote like this Medium Bowie Mantle. The bag also includes a flap opening with magnetic snap closure, a back slide in pocket to fit your phone, an interior zip pocket, credit card slots and an adjustable strap to make it longer or shorter depending on your height and preference.
Happy Monday everyone, I hope you all had a wonderful Mother’s Day weekend celebrating all of the amazing moms in your lives! I just wanted to pop on here to remind you that today is the last day to save 30% OFF at World Market for their Friends & Family Sale! Just use code: FRIENDS19
Scroll through this post to see how I styled all of my World Markethome decor and outdoor furniture for a Cinco de Mayo themed baby shower we hosted last weekend! We hosted the co-ed shower on actual cinco de mayo, but I think a fiesta themed shower is appropriate for any time of year so be sure to bookmark some of these ideas!
To create this adorable picturesque chair, I used my Natural Rattan Fallon Cocoon Chair with Cushion that I purchased from World Market last year and wrapped it greenery and flowers from Hobby Lobby. You may remember this chair from the first baby shower I hosted in April. All we did to change it up was purchase more colorful flowers from Hobby Lobby and use green floral tape and wire to attach the flowers. It’s such a fun way to incorporate more color into your decor. Plus you can always reuse it and change up the color schemes.
How adorable are these MacKenzie-Childs Flower Market Galvanized Herb Pots with the matching tray? I moved them inside and put them on my window sill above the kitchen sink and looks so cute there for the spring and summer. I like to fill them with water and fresh flowers as opposed to actually planting anything any side of them.
How fun are these colorful boho style pillows against my black and white cushions. I actually bought this black and white fabric on sale at Hobby Lobby and had my seamstress make me these custom black and white outdoor cushions knowing that I would be styling them with these bright and colorful MacKenzie-Childs pillows. I also love how they complement my Courtly Check dishes.
Hey everyone, if you follow me Instagram, then you know I finally revealed my new backyard space this past weekend just in time for a co-ed Cinco de Mayo baby shower that Blake and I hosted for our friends. I had so much fun decorating the space and it turned out beautifully. So beautifully that I didn’t want to take it down so I left half the colorful decorations up and invited my mom and mother-in-law over for an early Mother’s Day brunch. I of course nixed the taco signs and incorporated my new MacKenzie-Childspieces into decorations and tablescape. You’ve probably seen me use some of these classic MC pieces before in other dining tablescapes that I’ve created like this bridal brunch post and my friendsgiving post. I can always count on MacKenzie-Childs to a little a glam and whole lot of print and color to my overall design.
While I love MacKenzie-Childs’bold statement pieces, I also love the Sweetbriar collection that I got for my wedding especially when I have a lot of color already going on in the background like I did here with the balloons and flowers. This balloon garland was leftover from my Cinco de Mayo party, but I put together these flower arrangements to tie in Mother’s Day. I purchased three different bouquets of flowers from my local grocery store and arranged them in these three vases to use as the centerpiece.
How fun are these colorful boho style pillows by MacKenzie-Childs against my white cushions? I love the texture of them too! I would keep them indoors because they aren’t meant to take on weather, but they’re super cute to bring outside for special occaisions.

Happy Hump Day everyone, today I’m sharing five ways to help you power through the work week with White House Black Market. I always start to lose steam on Wednesday so I figured today would be the perfect day to share these tips! Also, quite a few of you have requested workwear outfits and WHBM is the perfect place to start looking! Scroll through this post for my tips and to see how I styled this shorts suit.
1) Get some sleep! You can’t expect to successfully make it through the work week without any sleep. I’m guilty of staying up all hours of the night trying to get things done, but then I’m useless the next morning because I’m too tired to function properly. Don’t overwork yourself to the point of sleep deprivation because it’s times like that when you’re forgetful and easily miss important details. If you need extra help with this, set an alarm on your phone to tell you when stop working just the same that you set an alarm to tell yourself when to wake up and start working.
2) Get a cute new outfit for work to get you excited to wake up and get dressed in the morning. We all dread waking up for work sometimes, but I always look forward to strutting around in a new outfit. Unfortunately for me, I don’t work in a office setting with lots of co-workers and a boss to hold me accountable so consider yourself lucky if you do because I’m sure it helps you stay in line. I am the only one who holds myself accountable, but getting up and getting dressed in a nice outfit helps me feel more motivated to get things done even at home. I also think it makes me a better boss to myself! LOL
3) Find something to look forward to during the work day and if you can’t find something, make something! Maybe pack yourself a special lunch or treat yourself to an afternoon ice coffee. You could even make a special playlist of songs you love that you can only listen to them while you’re at work so you look forward to getting to work just to listen to that special play list. Podcasts are great to listen to while working at your computer too as long as it doesn’t affect your actual work.
If I worked in an office, I would look forward to seeing my work friends! If you don’t have any work friends yet, be the person that people look forward to seeing at work each morning. Greet everyone with a smile each day or bring in donuts or coffee!
4) Get some sun! Yes, you heard that right! If you work in an office setting where you can take your work outside, get outdoors for a bit! Bring your laptop and enjoy some fresh air and sun
5) Hydrate and meditate! That may sound silly, but use your desk time to make sure you’re getting the right amount of water each day. Make it a point to refill your water cup at least five times a day. Plus you leave work feeling refreshed and recharged instead of drained.
As for meditating, take at least 10 minutes a day at work to step away from your phone and computer or whatever device you use at work and allow yourself to just breath. If you have the space, go for a quick walk even and stretch especially if you sit at a desk all day!
Hey everyone, I’ve been meaning to post this for a while, but I wanted to make sure to provide you with the correct information and terminology after completing my CoolSculpting experience. In case you’re new, last summer I tried out CoolSculpting for the first time, which helped me reduce stubborn fat in certain areas of my body. If you missed my first two posts about CoolSculpting, you can check them here (My First CoolSculpting Experience) and here (CoolSculpting Update).
I received my first CoolSculpting treatments at the Lupo Center for Aesthetic and General Dermatology in New Orleanson June 26. The moment I announced that I would be working with CoolSculpting to help reduce my stubborn fat on my Instagram, my inbox was immediately flooded with all kinds of questions and the questions haven’t stopped. However, the most frequently asked question I receive is “Does it really work?” While I wanted to answer that question for everyone who asked, I couldn’t until the results were fully complete, which takes about three months. Now that is has officially been more than three months since my first treatment, I can finally answer that question for you all….Yes, it worked for me!
How do I know? Well, this isn’t something I’m proud of or recommend doing, but I have literally worked out the same amount I did before my CoolSculpting treatment in June and I continue to eat plenty of sweets and fried food like I did before. I should make healthier choices, but on the bright side, it actually helped me to see that CoolSculpting was the real reason that my clothing still fits and looks good in the areas I treated.
I treated my lower abdomen and both flanks, which most people refer to as a muffin top. I got four cycles: one on each flank (aka both of my love handles) and then two on my lower abdomen to cover the full area.
Did I lose any weight? No, but I haven’t gained any extra unwanted fat in my treated areas either. Also, just to reiterate, CoolSculpting is not a weight loss program. CoolSculpting is a non-surgical, non-invasive, clinically proven treatment that reduces fat cells through FDA-cleared cooling technology. It’s a comfortable, fat freezing process that is meant to reduce fat cells in treated areas (aka reduce volume in certain areas) and that’s exactly what it did for me. I could actually tell that my waist seemed slimmer and it has remained that way since. My husband and photographer could also tell as well since they see me almost everyday. It’s a very subtle difference because I only received one treatment, but that was all I wanted. It’s enough for me to feel pleased with the experience and comfortable and happy in my clothes.
Also, as I mentioned in my first post, I did not choose to get CoolSculpting treatments because I don’t like my body or wanted a drastic change. I love my body and just wanted to mold it into its best potential shape.
Why not just work out? I did! I worked out really hard in the 6-7 months leading up to my wedding and while I got great results, I still struggled with those problem areas (aka my waist and love handles) that I just couldn’t shake so I chose CoolSculpting and it worked for my body!
Why did I not choose to get a second treatment? My husband and I are about to start trying for kids so I didn’t want to waste the treatment, but I will definitely go back for more treatments kids knowing that it works!
This post is in partnership with CoolSculpting, a brand I love. All opinions and selections here are my own. Thank you for supporting the affiliate posts who make this blog possible.
The CoolSculpting® procedure is FDA-cleared for the treatment of visible fat bulges in the submental (under the chin) and submandibular (under the jawline) areas, thigh, abdomen and flank, along with bra fat, back fat, underneath the buttocks (also known as banana roll) and upper arm. It is also FDA-cleared to affect the appearance of lax tissue with submental area treatments. The CoolSculpting® procedure is not a treatment for weight loss.
Important Safety Information
The CoolSculpting® procedure is not for everyone. You should not have the CoolSculpting® procedure if you suffer from cryoglobulinemia, cold agglutinin disease, or paroxysmal cold hemoglobinuria.
Tell your doctor if you have any medical conditions including recent surgery, pre-existing hernia, and any known sensitivities or allergies.
During the procedure you may experience sensations of pulling, tugging, mild pinching, intense cold, tingling, stinging, aching, and cramping at the treatment site. These sensations subside as the area becomes numb. Following the procedure, typical side effects include temporary redness, swelling, blanching, bruising, firmness, tingling, stinging, tenderness, cramping, aching, itching, or skin sensitivity, and sensation of fullness in the back of the throat after submental or submandibular area treatment.
Rare side effects may also occur. CoolSculpting® may cause a visible enlargement in the treated area which may develop two to five months after treatment and requires surgical intervention for correction.
