It’s important to remember that, with the process of making marijuana edibles, marijuana is turned into an incredibly concentrated form. This form is in cooking oil, marijuana butter, or other types, but in any case, it will be a higher concentration than something you would smoke. Because of this, ingesting more marijuana than you want is very easy to do.

Read the label

If you have purchased a marijuana edible, it should have packaging and an informative label on it. However, because marijuana remains illegal in most of the world. There is a certain lack of standardisation and consistency as well as auditing of these products and how they affect people. This makes correct dosing even harder for the consumer.

Therefore, always read the label carefully to figure out how much marijuana is contained in that brownie or cookie, and then determine how much of it you should actually eat. Of course, not all labels are going to have this clearly indicated, given the fact that the marijuana industry is still so young.

For that reason, you should opt for purchasing edibles that have clear labels and good packaging. This indicates a certain amount of commitment of the company to strive for quality and consistency, and that means it is probably a better product anyway

Consider Your Tolerance

About 10 milligrams is roughly one “dose” of marijuana, much like one “drink” of alcohol. Once you know exactly how many milligrams affect your body, you will be better able to make informed decisions. Keep track of how many milligrams you have consumed so that you don’t have too many all at once.

If there is a delicious dessert such as a chocolate bar that has 100 milligrams of marijuana in it, you should break it up into ten pieces and dose it that way. Use this logic for all aspects of eating marijuana edibles.

Remember, even taking your first dose of 10 milligrams can be too much for some people. Especially if you haven’t eaten recently and therefore have an empty stomach. Sometimes if you have a smaller body mass. Or if you are simply completely new to the marijuana edibles scene that can do it as well.

A member, you can always start with 5 milligrams and work your way up from there, but you can never take back the extra milligrams that you shouldn’t have eaten in the first place.

Edibles on the legal market typically label their THC/CBD contents in milligrams. The “standard dose” is considered to be 10 mg, but a cannabis newbie or low-tolerance consumer should start with half of that. There’s nothing wrong with dipping your toe in the water before jumping in. You can always add another 5 mg in an hour or two once you’ve settled into the effects of your first dose.

Starting with a small dose is always a good idea, especially if it’s your first time or it’s been a while since you’ve used cannabis. A low THC tolerance can make you particularly susceptible to negative side effects. This include paranoia, anxiety, and dizziness, and most would agree that an underwhelming experience is better than an overwhelming one.

Don’t try to “keep up” with more experienced consumers. Experienced, high-tolerance consumers not only need a higher dose to achieve desired effects, they also tend to be a lot more resilient to THC-induced side effects.

Type of edible makes a difference

Cookies and brownies may be a mainstay in the industry. However, if you want something a little different, Hawkes recommends gummies or chocolate bars because they’re not as intimidating.

If you are eating a chocolate bar infused with marijuana, you might have an entirely different experience than if you were eating a gummy treat infused with marijuana. Reactions to the various types of marijuana edibles will also vary from person to person.

For that reason, milligrams aren’t the only thing you need to pay attention to you should also remember what kind of marijuana edibles you have consumed in the past, and how that affected you.

Find a Comfortable Place

Edibles are delightfully portable, but keep in mind the importance of consuming in a comfortable setting. Larger doses are best tackled at home and among familiar faces. It’s always a good idea to have your best friend or partner there with you,

Especially if it’s your first time. The presence of a loved one helps keep any anxiety-related side effects at bay.

With experience come the comforts of familiarity, and with time, it becomes easier to feel at peace with your surroundings when consuming edibles. Until then, gather the people and things you love most and enjoy all the bliss, relaxation, relief, and laughter edibles have to offer in a secure, cozy place.

They can help you through it more comfortably. They can also help you remember exactly how many gummy bears, cookies, or chocolate bars you had eaten and how it affected you so you will have more accurate information for the next time around.

As long as they are eaten safely and smartly, you can end up having developed an entirely better lifestyle simply through the safe consumption and use of marijuana edibles.

So what are you waiting for? Go out there, buy some marijuana edibles or find a recipe to make your own. You can see what all the hype is about. We’re sure you will be just as hooked as everyone else.

Everything You Need to Know About Cannabis Edibles

Muffins, candies, hummus, bacon, tea, pizza, guacamole, vegetable medley. The virtually endless list of cannabis-infused foods opens up fascinating possibilities for the adventurous consumer.

The virtually endless list of cannabis-infused foods opens up fascinating possibilities for the adventurous consumer. As you venture deeper into the exciting world of marijuana, you may find yourself wondering what to expect from these edibles.

Maybe you’ve already given them a go and are wondering why they induce that intense, almost psychedelic high that lasts so long. Speculate no longer curious ones. We’re going to break down the differences between psychoactive snacks and the more familiar inhaled forms of cannabis.

Edibles are a great choice when consumed responsibly. They’re potent and body-focused, meaning they’re perfect for people who suffer from pain, nausea, or lack of appetite.

Unfortunately, they can easily lead to disaster if you’re not careful. You eat a whole brownie and feel normal for an hour, then all of a sudden you startle at a police siren and think everyone in the room is secretly laughing at you.

Metabolising cannabis makes the effects much stronger. Edibles are typically made with highly concentrated cannabis. Be it in actual concentrate form (hash oil), cannabis-infused butter, or infused oil. This means that it’s incredibly easy to overdo it.

Between the time it takes for the cannabis to kick in and the highly concentrated levels of THC found in many edibles, finding the correct dose can be quite the chore.

Here’s The Golden Rule of Edibles

Start small and be patient. Because of the way edibles are metabolised, it can take anywhere from 30 minutes to 2 hours to kick in. This means the effects can last several hours. These effects vary between edibles, but generally, consumers report stronger body effects coupled with an almost psychedelic head high in large doses.

Smaller amounts yield milder and arguably more comfortable effects. Which is why we reiterate: start small and be patient, or you’re gonna have a bad time.

Edibles may be strong, but compared to inhaled cannabis, they actually deliver a smaller concentration of cannabinoids to the bloodstream. Ingesting edibles introduces only 10 to 20 percent of THC and other cannabinoids to the blood plasma, whereas inhaled cannabis falls closer to 50 or 60 percent.

The effects of smoked cannabis tend to peak within the first 10 minutes and rapidly dissipate over the next 30 to 60 minutes

Many people become interested in edibles because they don’t enjoy the harsh experience of smoking or are worried about the long-term health concerns associated with it. Vaporisation is another health-conscious alternative commonly recommended.

However, edibles can oftentimes provide longer lasting relief to chronic symptoms like pain. Often making them a preferred choice for medical patients.

Edible recipes don’t always have to consist of the the stereotypical pot brownie or a sugary sweet treat.

Nowadays, you can transform most dishes into a cannabis-infused concoction.

Interesting Difference between Indica & Sativa

Medicinal cannabis can be used to treat a wide variety of common conditions. Generally, medicinal cannabis results in the user having a sense of greater physical and mental relaxation, pain reduction, increased appetite, and better sleep.

However, there are two main varieties of medicinal cannabis plants, and each offers a different set of benefits. Understanding the difference between the two is important to finding the right strain for each patient.

The 2 Major Types of Cannabis

Each strain has its own range of effects on the body and mind resulting in a wide range of medicinal benefits. Indica strains generally provide a sense of deep body relaxation. Sativa strains tend to provide a more energising experience.

Both sativa and indica are two distinct species from the same cannabis family. They show different growing characteristics, highs and medicinal effects. Understanding the variation can make all the difference for medical users when choosing a strain.

In general, the effect of sativa strains is often described as a strong and uplifting head high. While indicas tend to produce a more body-centred stoned effect. Rule of thumb is that sativa works on the mind, and indica on the body.

The high from sativa strains is energising, cerebral and well suited for daytime use. A feeling of well-being and ease is often associated with sativas. It makes them ideal for social situations.

Promote Deep Conversation and Enhance Creativity

Indicas are known for their physically sedating effect. Indicas are ideal for relaxing with a movie or music in the evening as a way to unwind after a long day’s work or as a relaxing interlude before bed. Indica plants tend to be short, squat, and bushy. Its strains tend to have an opposite effect.

They provide a “couch lock” or body high that is well suited for nights when you just want to wind down and be in your own head. Indicas are often used to relieve stress and aid with sleep.

Generally speaking, indicas are best for physical ailments such as pain and inflammation. On the other hand, sativas are best for mental conditions such as depression and ADHD.

Strain names are meaningless because 95% of the time. No one truly knows what they are growing, selling and consuming.

However, the variables that comprise a particular strain are structured and concealed within its DNA. It provides researchers the criterion needed to establish consistent and standardised records of proof.

Natural Ways to Relax with the Help of Marijuana

These days, many people are stressed, anxious, or panicky and are desperate to get better. However, they might not want to keep taking drugs to feel more relaxed.

These days, many people are stressed, anxious, or panicky and are desperate to get better. However, they might not want to keep taking drugs to feel more relaxed. Whether you are suffering from depression, anxiety, long-term illnesses, or even chronic pain. You could benefit from the more natural remedies.

According to experiments, researchers found that compared to the placebo, the low dose of THC “reduced the duration of negative emotional responses to acute psychosocial stress, and participants’ post-task appraisals of how threatening and challenging they found the stressor,” according to the paper.

Dealing with stress, anxiety, or mental health conditions can leave you with numerous side effects like irritability, headaches, eating issues, or upset stomach. Sometimes, certain medication can make these side effects even more serious.

4 Natural Ways That You Can Use to Feel More Relaxed

1. Use CBD Oil Vape

CBD – or Cannabidiol – is a type of cannabinoid that is extracted from the hemp plant. Throughout the years, numerous studies have been carried out to find out how CBD affects the human body.

Its proven benefits include providing relief for chronic pain, reducing acne, and fighting inflammation. But most importantly, CBD is very effective at combating anxiety and stress, leaving you feeling more relaxed.

Using CBD oil vape is a natural way to treat conditions like general anxiety, panic disorders, PTSD, and OCD. The best part is that CBD is naturally non-psychoactive. This means that you won’t get “high” from using it. Instead, you will be more relaxed and stress-free.

2.Practice Soft Belly Breathing

When you’re stressed, your fight-or-flight responses are activated. In turn, these responses are major contributors to depression, anxiety, and chronic illnesses. Soft belly breathing is a simple, natural way to quiet your body’s natural stress responses and leave you feeling more relaxed.

All you have to do is breathe in through your nose slowly and deeply, then breathing out through your mouth. It’s important to ensure that your belly stays soft and relaxed throughout this exercise.

Believe it or not, this practice has a sound scientific basis. Soft belly breathing stimulates the vagus nerve, which balances your fight-or-flight responses. It also calms down the amygdala, which is responsible for generating your fear and agitation responses.

3.Eat Better

It’s been proven that a healthier diet can contribute significantly to your mental and physical health. Instead of grabbing the junk food when you’re stressed, why not replace that with healthier alternatives? These could include green leafy vegetables, oatmeal, yogurt, blueberries, and pistachios among many more.

Apart from good nutrients, these “superfoods” contain antioxidants that can help improve your reaction to stress.

4.Start Meditating

Meditation is a completely natural, no-cost remedy for stress. All you need is a quiet space where you can focus on your breathing. Lots of people don’t think that they have enough time to slow down and relax – and that’s understandable.

The world is so fast-paced that it might seem that way sometimes. However, you can easily reduce stress and increase mindfulness by carving out two 15 to 30-minute slots for meditation. That’s all you really need.

Taking Care of Your Cannabis Grinder

If you’re new to cannabis, you may have a few questions about grinders and how to use one. Grinders can be purchased at almost any smoke store or head shop, or you can order one online from a variety of retail outlets.

If you’re new to cannabis, you may have a few questions about grinders and how to use one. Grinders can be purchased at almost any smoke store or head shop, or you can order one online from a variety of retail outlets.

6 Things You Should Avoid Doing With Your Cannabis Grinder

1.Using it for other purposes

A marijuana grinder should be used to grind weed only. It can be used to do other function very effectively. It can be used to grind tobacco, coffee and tea leaves. Once the product is used to serve other purposes, it comes hard to clean. It also produces a bad smell. Such a grinder will not give the user the real feeling of smoking ground cannabis.

2. Keeping it dirty

Cleaning the equipment cannot be compromised. The user must clean the item after each and every use. An untidy grinder is not healthy for a human body. One should not use detergents and soups. Be sure to use warm water and clean the grinder regularly.

3. Using a different lid

The grinder’s lid is a very important component. It is used to push the product downward during the grinding process. Never exchange or use another lid on your grinder. The lid has threads that ensure a firm grip on the other parts of the items. Using a different grid weaken the threats and in the long run, the grinder will turn ineffective in its work.

4. Keeping it wet

It is advisable to use plain warm water while cleaning the item. However, the product should not be kept wet. Wetness may result in rusting and wearing out of the grinder. In addition to that, it leads to sticking of the weed on the sides of the equipment.

Ensure that after every cleaning practice, the product is stored in a freezer.

5. Overloading the equipment

The need to save time may tempt the user to grind a large amount of the weed at once on a small grinder. Overloading leads to the production of large particles of the product which does not augur well with many users.

To avoid this, one can consider buying the largely sized grinders like the black tie grinder. It will allow one to grind a large amount of weed at once.

6. Using a metal brush to wash

Never use a metal brush to wash the item. One should use the normal toothbrush, a piece of cloth, or high pressure flowing water. A metal brush can be irritating to the cleaner ears. On top of that, metal is not flexible and there not appropriate to clean around corners.

One day, you’ll have used your grinder so often that it will become sticky with kiefy resin. The threading on the sides where pieces screw together will become gummy, making it difficult (or impossible) to twist open. Avoid having your grinder lock up on you by keeping it clean.

Maintaining and Improving a Good Quality of Cannabis

Maintaining a good quality is a critical aspect of growing marijuana. Cultivators need to make sure that it has exceptional quality, especially if it is going to be used for medical purposes.

Maintaining a good quality is a critical aspect of growing marijuana. Cultivators need to make sure that it has exceptional quality, especially if it is going to be used for medical purposes. With that, the rest of this post will briefly tackle some of the steps that are necessary to be undertaken to ensure high-quality cannabis.

The truth is, you can successfully grow cannabis with very little effort, make a ton of mistakes, and still harvest buds that will do the job. But have you ever wondered how people grow truly top-shelf buds? The kind of bud that beats the marijuana you get in a dispensary?

4 Things to Consider in Maintaining and Improving the Quality of Your Cannabis Plant Physical Appearance

A quick physical inspection is needed to ensure that the buds are free of insects, hair, contaminants, and other visible impurities that could affect its flavor and aroma. To ensure the best physical appearance, marijuana needs to be cultivated in a place with grow room air filtration. This will prevent mold and spores, among other problems.

Basics of Growing

Although a lot of growers don’t pay as much attention to what happens to plants after harvest. As during the grow itself, these 3 post-harvest factors determine almost 50% of your final bud appearance. Properly drying/curing also intensifies smell and increases bud potency!

Moisture

One way to measure moisture is to weigh it first, place it in the oven, and weigh it again. This will determine the percentage of moisture that is present. Laboratories, on the other hand, use high-end machines to determine moisture content. In these tests, the moisture content of cannabis should range from 6% to 15%.

Pesticides

Some users use pesticides in using marijuana, but this should be avoided. When marijuana samples are tested, the results should show that pesticides are absent. Pesticides in weed can make people sick although that seldom happens. Nonetheless, it does not hurt to err on the side of caution, which is why weed should never contain pesticides.

A lot of mistakes that won’t kill your plant can often still damage the overall appearance of your buds, especially big problems that happen after the beginning of the flowering stage while buds are in the process of forming.

More importantly, too many problems during the flowering stage can reduce the maximum potency your plant can achieve!

So in order to get the best yields along with beautiful buds that sparkle in the light. You need to gain a complete understanding of the basics of growing. It’s also important to provide your plants with a good growing environment.

Fight Chronic Pain with Medical Marijuana

With the legalisation of medical marijuana, chronic pain sufferers may have a better option. When people suffer from chronic pain, they don’t have many options and opioids are often prescribed by doctors to help, although this isn’t always the case.

With the legalisation of medical marijuana, chronic pain sufferers may have a better option. There are a lot of people who suffer from chronic pain. They don’t have many options and opioids are often prescribed by doctors to help, although this isn’t always the case.

There is another option that doctors are starting to recognise as more effective and less harmful than most pain medicine – medical cannabis.

Divergent Directions are Possible

As the research, pain care industry, and US government work to answer outstanding questions around and regulation. These are regarding on the use, dosing, and long-term impact of medical marijuana. As a result, veterans and other patients living with chronic pain are in somewhat of a holding pattern.

Patients must work with their doctors to determine the best path forward for their individual situation, weighing both potential benefits and risks.

The Problem with Opioids

There is no denying that opioids can help you deal with symptoms of chronic pain. However, they aren’t the best solution to your troubles. One of the biggest issues with opioids is the addictive nature of them.

Despite relieving your pain, they manage to get you hooked. Over time, you need more and more medication to fight your pain. This can lead to overdose and addiction troubles.

How Can Cannabis Reduce Symptoms of Chronic Pain?

The main chemical component in cannabis that is responsible for this is THC. THC helps stop the pain signal from sending, which leaves you feeling more comfortable. There’s another ingredient in cannabis that also helps, called CBD.

CBD binds to your brain’s receptors and may reduce drug cravings. As a result, addiction is less of a problem. Some research even shows that CBD might be an effective way to combat opioid addiction.

Exploring Cannabinoids

For those patients suffering from chronic pain that feel the benefits of medical marijuana outweigh the possible risks, there may be another option: synthetic cannabinoids. These Class II chemical compounds contain a synthetic form of tetrahydrocannabinol (THC).

It is the psychoactive component natively secreted by cannabis that acts on the nervous system to enhance the appetite and possibly offer other health benefits. FDA has approved a few synthetic cannabinoid drugs for targeted uses.

This includes chemotherapy-induced nausea and HIV-caused neuropathy. However, they are not currently indicated for treating chronic pain according to both Dr. Cosio and Dr. Tishler.

Before medical marijuana was legal, it wasn’t readily accessible. As a result, it wasn’t even noticed as a potential substitute. Now that people can access marijuana legally, it’s a viable alternative.

Medical Marijuana in the Workplace

For decades, organisations have been able to test employees and prospective employees for the presence of controlled/prohibited drugs in their systems. Failing a drug test usually meant getting the pink slip, or being “disciplined”, officiously so.

For decades, organisations have been able to test employees and prospective employees for the presence of controlled/prohibited drugs in their systems. Failing a drug test usually meant getting the pink slip, or being disciplined.

The negative impacts of marijuana use have been well publicised. The sharp increase in marijuana-related fatalities in legalised states such as Washington and Colorado have spurred organisations like the American Automobile Association to oppose legalisation.

Employers Have a Duty to Accommodate

Employers are required to go through a full assessment with the employee who has the disability to determine possible workplace restrictions and modifications to ensure that person can work in a safe manner. They are responsible for ensuring their staff can still perform at work.

This means allowing the employee to return to the same position as before, with the possibility of some tasks being exchanged for others. If that isn’t possible, the employer should transfer that person to a position comparable in duties and wages, among other factors.

However, an employer’s duty does not go so far as to create an entirely new tailored position. There will be a mix of give and take.

Testing

For some employers, the obvious way to enforce a zero-tolerance policy toward marijuana use at the workplace is to conduct random drug testing. However, this is where it gets tricky. Unlike a breathalyzer test for alcohol, which yields precise results for impairment.

There is no definitive way for employers to determine an employee’s level of impairment when it comes to marijuana. The problem with routine tests for marijuana is that there are a lot of false positives and negatives because marijuana can take a long time to be metabolised out of a user’s system.

Balancing Health and Safety

This duty doesn’t let employees off the hook. They can’t use this medication as an excuse to be impaired at work. They’re not entitled to smoke it freely in the workplace and it doesn’t give them the right to unexcused absences.

This is an impairment drug, and both sides have an obligation to each other that allows everyone to work safely and effectively.

Safety-sensitive positions such as forklift drivers and truck drivers, will be scrutinised more significantly because impairment affects safety. The employer may need to revisit and modify their workplace policies.

Employers are taking every reasonable precaution to create a safe work environment, and employees have a duty to meet those safety measures.

Workplace Policy

In light of recent legalisation, there has been some review of policy and strategic thinking going on. Even if employers plan on maintaining their pre-legalisation stance on marijuana, they would still need to look back at their policies as they often prohibit the use of illegal drugs.

Employers must also decide on how strong a position do they want to take as a company. If you’re a safety-sensitive or federal contractor, you may not have a choice. However, for the other employers, mandatory drug testing sends out a clear signal across the board.

For those taking a more liberal approach, may want to communicate to workers that even though it’s legal to recreationally use marijuana. This means that being under influence at work is still a no-go.

Why The Weed Industry Needs More Diversity

Medical cannabis is an emergent industry, and diversity must be woven into the fabric of this multi-billion dollar business from the beginning.

Medical cannabis is an emergent industry, and diversity must be woven into the fabric of this multi-billion dollar business from the beginning. We acknowledge that there are those in our communities who remain steadfast in their opposition to the expansion of the availability of cannabis.

What value do diversity and inclusion add to the fastest-growing industry? This post presents the views of a top cannabis recruiter on cannabis companies becoming diversified and inclusive. This goes with the opportunities for hiring and getting hired in the cannabis industry.

People of Colour in the Marijuana Industry

A recent investigation from Buzzfeed found that of the 3,600 storefront marijuana dispensaries, only around 1% are black-owned companies. Many believe this to be a direct result of the increased likelihood of marijuana-related arrests in the black community.

According to a 2013 report from the American Civil Liberties Union, marijuana use is roughly equal amongst black and white individuals, though black individuals are 3.73 times more likely to be arrested for marijuana possession.

While over half the United States have some form of legalised marijuana, some of these states bar people who have been convicted of drug crimes from owning, working, or investing in legal marijuana businesses.

While issues like diversity and decriminalization are controversial topics for the marijuana industry, more people of colour are speaking out through conventions, panels, and the media to make sure their voices are heard.

Why Diversity Matters

Concerns about racial diversity in the cannabis industry are being echoed throughout the U.S. as more states legalise marijuana. Diversity advocates cite costly licensing fees and prohibitions on licensing approval for individuals with criminal records.

As two ways that state regulatory requirements disproportionately exclude people of colour from marijuana-focused businesses.

According to a study conducted by The Drug Policy Alliance, 70-80% of arrests for cannabis possession happen in communities of colour, while it is estimated that under 1% of the growing legalised market is owned and/or operated by individuals of color.

The inherent value of bringing new cultures and perspectives to an industry is only a small reason diversity in the legal marijuana industry is important. Removing the negative social stigma of marijuana, as well as easing some of the legal barriers that inhibit marijuana dispensary expansion will bring more jobs and more economic growth.

This is true especially in minority communities. Danielle Schumacher at THC Staffing Group, a business dedicated to helping diversify the legal marijuana industry agrees.

“Diversity is far more than just a moral issue,” Schumacher noted. “In the 21st century, it’s a business and economic necessity.”

How to Find the Right Bong For You

Bongs are a healthier way to smoke since they filter the water soluble components of the smoke like ash and tar, leading to a cleaner and smoother smoke.

Every seasoned stoner knows there are a variety of accessories and equipment that can be used when having their smoke. These range from glass bongs, dab rigs, bubblers and concentrate pipes.

Bongs are also ideal for first time smokers since their smoke is less irritating to the throat as compared with other methods of smoking. It comes in a wide variety of materials and designs, and as such, choosing the right bong to suit your needs can be quite a confusing task, especially for newbies.

Buying a bong is an experience that comes with a lot of excitement, and if you are doing it for the first time, the process could appear daunting. If you are in the market to get a bong, you probably have wondered if there is a guide you could use to choose the right bong.

2 Major Factors in Choosing the Right Bong For You

Your budget and the environment in which the bong will be used. Your budget will affect the choice of material for the bong, since the material from which the bong is made will have a dramatic effect on the price you will pay for your bong.

The environment in which the bong will be used has an impact on the size and portability of the bong.

If  if it’s  your first bong, be mindful of your lung capacity. If you buy a bong with too many percs or one that is too tall for you to clear nicely, you won’t be satisfied. If you never fill the chamber in your bong with smoke, you’re not maximising the potential of your piece.

On the other hand, if you fill the chamber but are unable to clear it in one hit, you are left with less-than-fresh smoke, which can make for a stale tasting second hit. The measurements of the chamber and mouthpiece also impact how the bong smokes.

The major types of bongs available in most online head shops are made from either glass, acrylic or wood. Acrylic bongs are considered the best choice for novice smokers. Typically made from plastic with metal or rubber downstems, acrylic bongs are inexpensive and quite durable as compared to glass bongs.

The disadvantages of acrylic bongs is that they can be hard to clean, they retain odours after a little bit of use. You are also likely to taste the plastic while smoking.

They are stylish, decorative and come in great designs. Glass bongs do not produce any vapours or fumes. They are the easiest to clean and take care of. Glass bongs also come with extra attachments like percs, bowls and ash catchers, hence adding an extra cost.

The only downside to glass bongs is that they are very expensive as compared to other types of bongs and are the least durable, since glass is very fragile

Glass Thickness

One of the first things you want to watch is the thickness of the glass used on the bong. This is important as it decides the duration your bong will last. Thicker class will give you better service, which is also dependent on how you use can care for the bong.

If you are careful enough to keep it safe, then you might not need to worry about the thickness of the glass. If your plan is to carry it anywhere, then you might do well with thick glass, so pick thickness anywhere from 3.5mm and above. Browse through online headshops to see the different thickness options available that you can choose.

Joint Sizes

Joints are commonly offered in two sizes, 14mm and 18mm. You can find other sizes which can work as well, but the idea is to ensure you use a bong with joints in the above range and you will enjoy using it.

The point is to ensure you choose something that gives you the comfort you need and enjoyment, which can be found in making the right decision for a joint size as well as the general size of the bong.

Add-Ons

You can also consider some add-ons that are needed to make your experience awesome. A splash guard could come in handy as it helps to block dirty bong water from entering into your mouth. Adding an Ice Pinch will hold ice that will help to cool the smoke down, and an Ash Catcher gives another level of filtration by catching all the ash produced.

Don’t forget to consider a percolator, which works to cool the smoke to achieve a less harsh hit. Most of these add-ons are included in some types of bongs when buying and will help you enjoy a refined experience.

Other Material Choices

Besides glass bongs, you will also get some amazing ceramic bongs, most of which come in unique designs like statues. Ceramic bongs are smaller than a lot of glass bongs and the reason is because they are made with material that is heavier.

These also offer many color options for your custom setup. You also have plastic bongs to choose from, and these are much lighter and will last longer than the average glass bong.

Choosing a bong is an important decision that you have to make after serious consideration. You should review the many available options to pick the best in the list to serve your needs. Try choosing a bong that can satisfy your needs, so the options discussed above could help you make a good decision in this case.
