So today a coworker and I decided to test out the new BoobyTape we recently got in store, and let me tell you, I am SHOOK.
As an H cup, I have always avoided buying any clothing that is backless, strapless, plunging or daring in pretty much anyway. Strapless bras always bugged me after a few hours, and going braless has just never been an option… until now.
I have been wearing a backless bandeau-style application of the BoobyTape for about three hours now. As I write this blog, I can honestly say I feel more comfortable than seems logical. I keep waiting to get itchy, or irritated, or just plain sore. If you’re a person with larger breasts, you know the feeling, that ache in your shoulders and back you get from just existing braless, with all that weight hanging on your chest. Good times. Well I’m here to tell you that the BoobyTape is a damn game-changer.
I feel supported. I feel lifted. I don’t feel like my breasts are going to burst free at any moment and start partying it up fiesta style. I feel AWESOME.
My Coworker wearing a plunging style of the BoobyTape.
Now as with anything in life, BoobyTape is probably not going to work for everybody. I feel like the fuller your breasts are the better luck you’re going to have. But to give it the best possible chance of working for you, I figured I should write out some tips and tricks I’ve learned from my trial and error testing of the BoobyTape today!
Some things to keep in mind when applying:
Start from the bottom up, especially when doing a bandeau style. Initially I went straight across the nipple, and it made the silhouette really lumpy and awkward looking
Pre-cut the pieces before you start applying. Cutting tape while your boobs are precariously resting on one small piece of adhesive is a recipe for disaster
While cutting pieces of the tape, use a smaller length than you think you might need. I was LAUGHING at BoobyTape’s claim of 5-15 uses in one roll, but once I started applying it I realized I had cut pieces way too long and wound up wasting a bunch. That’s what I get for being shady before actually trying the product… my bad guys
The tape sticks to skin excellently, but not so great to itself. If you mess up on your skin, you can peel it back gently and re-stick it, but that will not work if you’ve stuck it to another piece of tape, which finally brings me to
This stuff is definitely easier to put on if you have a friend helping. The tape likes fold into itself and get stuck (think saran-wrap) so when you’re trying to tape it to the back or sides it becomes rather tricky without a spotter, or someone to make sure it’s going on nice and smooth.
And that’s it! Now let’s move on to taking this sucker off…
I have heard the best methods of removing the BoobyTape are in the shower using conditioner to gently remove the adhesive, or to use baby oil, or coconut oil, and saturate the tape edges until it starts to slide off. Guess what I didn’t do?
Yeah, yours truly passed out on the couch for an accidental three hour nap (proof the product is comfortable I guess) and then chose the lazy route and ripped the tape off like a band-aid. Probably not my brightest idea. It wasn’t extremely painful per say, but it certainly wasn’t comfortable. And it left pretty intense marks from the adhesive. Considering I wear an H cup, wore the product for over 8 hours AND slept like a log in it, I’m not mad about the marks. I think only literal magic would keep your skin mark free after all that, and unfortunately, I didn’t get my letter from Hogwarts at eleven so there’s no magic wand in your girls life. I’d cry about it, but I just discovered BoobyTape, so there will be no tears today!
What do you think? Have you tried the BoobyTape before? Are you definitely going to now? Sound off in the comments below to let us know your experiences with this game-changing invention!
Many women come to forever yours lingerie to find their true bra size. Usually upon their first time visiting us, we ask what size they are currently wearing. Once they tell us, we ask, “Is that in U.S. sizing?” The response is usually a very confused look! Of course it is! Why the heck would Canadians be expected to understand U.K. sizing!? Well, the answer is simple, you’re not, and 90% of women in North America are in the same spot as you! But fear not because today we are taking you to bra school. Before we understand U.K. Sizing, we need to understand U.S sizing. Doing it the other way around would be like having dessert before dinner! Let’s save the best for last.
Many of you have probably visited large American chain lingerie shops, and some of you may have even gotten measured in these stores. 9 times out of 10, these stores will tell you you are a DD and most likely 2-4 inches larger around the ribs than you really are. Why would they do this you may ask? Simply put, it’s because they don’t have a size large or small enough to fit you properly. Understanding bra sizing takes months and even years to properly learn. (Our fit specialists go through 3 months of intensive training, but the learning doesn’t end there!)
Your band size should reflect the measurement around the ribs – Photo by Brian Perkins
The number one quick fact that I can teach you here today that will make your life easier is this; there is no such thing as one cup size. What do I mean by this?
A woman wearing a 30D is standing beside a woman wearing a 42D, obviously their body size is completely different, but they are both in a D cup sized bra. Their breasts are most definitely not the same size! The band size of a bra effects the cup size. Every time you increase the band measurement, the cup increases in size as well. Are you still with me? I know, it’s pretty confusing. Here is another example.
Luciana and Rebecca both wear and ‘E’ Cup even though they have different size busts. Cup size is relative to the band size.
A lady goes into a North American chain lingerie store that carries bras that go up to a DD size cup. She measures 34 inches around her rib cage. The store clerk can see that her breasts look far too large to fit into a 34DD, but they try it on anyway and her breast tissue is spilling out all over the place. The clerk knows she doesn’t have a cup larger than a DD, but she knows that in a 38DD, the cup is much larger and so they try that on. Perfect, (not really, but hey, she can only work with what she’s got!). Now in the 38DD, all the woman’s breast tissue is in the cup, so that must be her size right? Wrong, she is now in a bra that is 4 inches too big around which is the most important part of a supportive bra.
This is an example of someone wearing a US size before and a UK size after. Many women fit into the US sizing at large lingerie chains, but most of us do not! Check out more Before and After photos by clicking the image above!
Wondering what your bra size is? Check out our UK Bra Size Calculator HERE!
When the band of a bra is not tight enough to anchor itself on your rib cage, you are losing lift and support. That’s when you run into back pain, the bra shifting back and forth on your breast tissue causing discomfort, the dreaded underboob sweat, and a whole slew of other nasty problems. So what is the fix? Unfortunately in US sizing, there isn’t one. But don’t lose hope, fortunately in the U.K. they’ve got it all figured out!
Time for dessert! Here at Forever Yours Lingerie we carry up to an O cup in UK sizing. Usually when I tell people that, they say, “Like, O as in OMG!?” Yes! But when you understand that the band size effects the cup size, it isn’t as scary as it sounds, and when you are in a properly sized bra and you look and feel amazing, who cares what the size tag reads!
U.K. Sizing is not some crazy different sizing scale. It’s the same as US sizing, but with WAY more options to get the perfect fit. With having such a large range of cup sizes, it is easier to get your band size and proper cup size all in one! So remember that lady we were talking about that measured 34 around her ribs? It turns out, she should actually be wearing a 34G and not a 38DD! In U.K. sizing, a 34G exists and is actually a very common size!
It is my hope that today’s bra school session puts you more at ease when you shop with us and even when you shop North American stores. Understanding sizing, even on a small scale, will hopefully make your bra shopping experience that much better! And if it’s all too much of a headache, well that’s what we’re here for! Come see us today!
We had the pleasure of hosting a two day event with Eveden. Founded in 2001, Eveden provides some of the largest names in the bra industry including Elomi, Goddess, Freya and Fantasie. Striving for substantial quality and femininity, these brands are well known and sought after in the world of bra fitting.
And so is Freddy.
Frederika (Freddy) Zappe is Eveden’s National Fit Specialist. Freddy travels worldwide, training, educating and inspiring people from all walks of life. We can’t help but be star struck in her presence!
Last Thursday, September 13, 2018 was the first day we’ve closed up shop for a dedicated day of staff training! It was 4 hours of education, laughter, and inspiration with Freddy, Paula (our regional representative), Heather (Canadian ales representative) and Laurel (Senior Vice President of Sales). Talk about a bunch of boss babes, am I right? Freddy’s many years of experience in the bra industry has provided us with a deeper understanding of why we do what we do at FYL. From teachings to fitting tips, professionalism and simply making women feel incredible, we were all hooked in by every word she said.
Freddy also brought her famous “barley boobs” (pink bags filled with 8 pounds of barley that you hang around your neck to demonstrate the weight of average size 38F breasts) Sounds pretty sexy right? Totally not meant to be sexy, but rather to drive home how crucial it is to wear a supportive bra, especially if you have larger breasts. Freddy’s favorite ploy is to get a man to put them on, and there’s only one man here at FYL…Brian, co-owner and Sonya’s husband!
He was the best sport and will always “take one for the team”…and the FYL team wildly demonstrated with their applause & hoots that they wanted him to be our boob model! I’ve always known that the bra band should sit completely parallel to the floor, but Freddy was able to eloquently illustrate and explain why. The strongest part of the back is the mid back, which is exactly where that band should sit. If the band is too high (or less commonly too low) we’re adding weight and pressure to a part of our body that is less capable to carry the weight. Interesting, right?
Following the boob talk, we had a chance to have some ‘real-talk’. Freddy has always ensured that there is time to get feedback from us on products from Eveden. It provides a safe space for us to offer brutally honest opinions on what we love and hate about the products, as well as what our customers want to see in upcoming seasons, knowing that something will be done with it. She listens intently with the purpose of offering solutions and change. Freddy is the woman to get things done.
Then it was time for some hands on training! A number of the staff were so excited to try Eveden products, even next seasons samples, eek! This allowed us to show Freddy and the others not only Eveden products on multiple bodies, but other brands as well. With an open mind and eagerness to learn, the Eveden team embraced this as an opportunity to learn more about brands and products other than their own.
In the evening, Freddy provided a talk to a group of guests that signed up for an evening with Freddy. She was able to provide the knowledge and inspiration about bras and fittings that we were fortunate to receive earlier in the day, as well as some really heartfelt talk about confidence, feeling like we are ‘not good enough’, and how we start overcoming that… There were tears and some big revelations by some of the women attending!
With appies, bubbly, swag and giveaways, it made for a fun and exciting evening!
We will be looking to have Freddy back annually for an information evening. The Bra Industry is overwhelming, confusing and often dreaded by many people with a bust. Freddy has the ability to take the unknown and the intimidating and turn it into something fun and relatable. I strongly suggest signing up for tickets when she’s here next, as you’ll walk in confused, and walk out inspired. How many people do you know that can do that for you?
Freddy changes lives. I strongly suggest you take the opportunity for her to change yours.
The word is out, the message has been spread…And it’s almost time! The Forever Yours casting call for fresh faces is Thursday, September 27! We’re on the hunt for some fresh faces in photo shoots and runway shows!
Wanna leave a memorable impression with us? (and perhaps get chosen to be our newest model!) Keep on reading and find out how to razzle dazzle your audition…
1 – Relax & have fun (fun, fabulous personality is what we are looking for!)
2 – Walk with confidence
3 – Wear heels that you can actually walk in! Just because a heel is higher, does not make it better. If you have a better walk in a lower heel, wear those. If you get chosen, you’ll have months to practice walking in higher heels!
4 – Smile (we don’t put on traditional sour faced fashion shows, so we want to see lots of personality!)
5 – Wear a MATCHING bra and panty set or bikini, preferably black (or at least the same color top and bottom) Having a mismatched set sometimes detracts the judges from seeing you, because they are focusing on what you are wearing.
6 – Do your hair and make-up like you would normally so we can get a sense of what you’ll look like all dolled up, but don’t go too crazy with tons of make-up and hair. We also want to be able to imagine what you’ll look like as our vision.
Erin wowed us at a past audition with her confident, sassy walk and fun loving attitude. She has since participated in multiple paid photo shoots for our store as well as fashion shows.
7 – Don’t wear a push-up bra (we want to be able to see what we are actually working with) We love all breasts, big or little, and we want a variety of sizes in our show!
8 – Show up on time (casting is from 6-8pm, Thurs, September 27). We want to work with people who are as reliable as we are. Please don’t show up at 7:59pm and expect to be able to audition
9 – Bring a portfolio, headshots, full body shots if you have them.
10 – Practice your walk! For our fashion shows we really want people who have a great walk, so practice, practice practice!
11 – Don’t be a Diva. We like to think we are nice, so we like the people we work with to be nice too.
Think you’ve got what it takes? Are you pre-registered? Swell! We look forward to seeing you ‘in the flesh’! Good luck!
Vanessa auditioned for us back in 2015 year and we fell in love with her big smile and energy! She has since appeared in a few of our fashion shows as well as paid photo shoots for our store.
Peggy is a loyal client of FYL, and her love and passion for lingerie is what won our hearts. She has participated in both paid photo shoots and our last years Christmas Fashion Show.

Vanessa auditioned for us last year and we fell in love with her big smile and energy! She has since appeared in a few of our fashion shows as well as paid photo shoots for our store.
I used to have a condition called ‘Armatitis’…I am now officially cured! What is armatitis you ask? It’s an affliction that a lot of women have whether they are big or small. It is a ridiculous, and often unfounded distain for your upper arms. I used to live in cardigans and sleeves regardless of how hot it was outside, because I didn’t want anyone to see my fat, ugly, hangy arms (these were all my own descriptors, no one else’s…)
Since I can remember I have always had bigger arms… Like could plow a field & bale hay kind of arms; Useless in the city, but farm kind of arms! I have gained and lost a significant amount of weight (60-90 pounds) multiple times in my life and with each time, my arms got bigger & saggier. I even went to see a plastic surgeon at one point during my lowest weights to see about having the excess skin removed. I was very close to booking the appointment, but in the following months, I ended up pregnant with my second child (my daughter Lucy) and more important things took center stage.
How did I rid myself of this ‘Armatitis’?
Well, I have always loved tattoos and always had the idea that I would love to get my sweet whippet (she passed away many years ago) who was my darling baby, immortalized with a tattoo when I found the right artist. Well recently, I found the perfect artist named Katie at Rain City Tattooing in Vancouver. I decided I was gonna go big or go home, so I opted for a BIG piece on my upper arm. I wanted it somewhere that I could see it and enjoy it every day, so it seemed like the perfect choice. After 3 long, and sometimes painful sessions it is done and I love it! And in the process of the 3 months of having it completed, something happened… My Armatitis disappeared!
I no longer constantly wear sleeves, or cardigans when it is sweltering out, or hide behind someone else in photos so that my arms are hidden. I proudly wear sleeveless (and actually seek sleeveless things out), and when a camera comes out, I proudly turn to my left and show off my gorgeous art! I am proud rather than mortified when people look at my arms, or when strangers come up to me and look at my arm & want to talk about my tattoo. My dad is pretty old school (he’s 77) and is not a fan of tattoos, especially on women, even though he has one (which he always tells me since he got it in the Navy it doesn’t really count!:) When I first showed it to him, his first reaction was “Why did you get it so big?” and I replied not at all apologetically, but rather matter of factly ‘because my arm is big, so it seemed like a good fit’
Sometimes the thing that you hate most about your body can turn into something that you love. It just takes a change of perspective!
Who knew that a big, expensive, painful piece of gorgeous body art could cure my lifelong condition?
When did so many of us we stop wearing things that make us happy? Never really a question that I thought about until the other week…
My kids were on summer break, and my daughter Lucy who is 9 loves coming to the shop any chance she gets. Granted, she gets bored and wants to leave after an hour because it’s all just ‘businessy stuff’ (as she calls it)…On this particular day, my mom brought her to the store so they could work on sorting out the donated bras for our Supportive Start program. Lucy loves all things fashion and design, so it was her lucky day when I told her that I had a buying appointment that afternoon to see Chantelle Spring/Summer 2016. As my sales rep Tanya pulled sample after sample out of her bag… Pinks, blues and purples, then beiges, black, stone & taupe’s, I could see Lucy’s face change from total excitement to ‘what the hell is this?’
Left: Lucy & Tanya. Right: Neutral shades for Spring 2016
As she had never met Tanya before, she was a little shy at the beginning of our meeting, being very respectful and saying ‘that’s nice’ to every piece we were shown, but you could tell what she really liked was the colorful ones. Closer to the end of the presentation, I was looking at a new basic seamless style in classic beige and she blurts out to me ‘Why would anyone want such a boring bra when you have so many colors to choose from?‘ Tanya and I tried to explain to her that a lot of women want something versatile that will work under much of their wardrobe…she wasn’t buying it. She wanted to know why adult women don’t buy a colorful bra that makes them happy when they look at it?
The beige bra; A ‘safe’ choice? Pictured left: Elomi ‘Bijoux’ Right: Chantelle ‘Vous et Moi’
For kids, so much of their decisions are based on what makes them happy… When did so many of us lose that on our way to adulthood and now we settle for something that is just practical & utilitarian? We used to have a customer named Pearl who was about 87 when she shopped with us, she had a zest for life like I’d never seen, and I always told her that I wanted to be just like her when I grew up. She never once bought a beige bra from us, she said that like was too short to wear beige…she always left the ‘pretty titty’ store (as she called us:) with something that made her feel happy like lavender or pink or aqua. When I started thinking about this, I posted a question on Facebook and we had a whopping 200 replies! The question was; Of your current bra collection, what do you have the most of, black, beige/ivory/white or colors?
Overwhelmingly the response was beige, and the answer as to why…it’s practical and versatile. While I am all for practicality & versatility, I think we all need a little more happiness in our lives and if having a royal blue bra on under your shirt brings you even just a little bit of happy, then I think it’s worth it to throw practical out the window once in a while and start thinking like a kid! Get the one that really speaks to you…the one that every time you pull it out of the drawer, it’s a joy to put on. Life is short, don’t let practicality make you colorblind!
With so many enticing shades to pick from, why do so many of us get stuck in the B.B.R? (Beige Bra Rut) Pictured: Freya Deco-Vibe in ‘Electric Blue’, Curvy Kate Cascade in ‘Pixie Aqua’, Prima Donna Divine in ‘Red Sailor’ and Parfait Destiny in ‘Cassis’
A woman walks into our store for the first time (this is not the start of a bad joke I promise), she looks around, slightly overwhelmed, and is thinking about the unsuccessful shopping trips she has had in the past and sighs.
And then there is is… A chipper ‘Hi there! Is there anything I can help you find?’
Now in retail there are usually 3 types of customers; those whom are familiar with the products offered and know exactly what they want, those enjoying a nice browse around and those wanting full service.
At Forever Yours Lingerie we specialise in the latter. We pride ourselves in providing a full, completely personalised service. We (as corny as that sounds) truly believe on going the ‘extra mile’ for our customers and always want to make sure they leave happy. This can mean anything from a quick recommendation for last minute wardrobe malfunctions to an hour long bra fitting. Whatever you need! We’ve got you covered!
After some quick questions we find out that this is the customer’s first time in our store. She hasn’t had much luck finding her size in chain stores and is feeling a bit defeated. My co-worker reassures her and brings her to our comfortable fitting rooms where she is met by her fitter, me (hi!). We introduce ourselves and I asks her some questions to find out what style of bra she likes (color, shape, fabric etc). I then turn to my trusty pink measuring tape and observing eyes to determine the size of her bust. She measures at a 36H and I explain that I’ll be back shortly with a bra for her to try on for size. Now I (personally) don’t reveal my clients bust size to them right off the bat (unless they ask), I have my reasons for this.
I for one prefer to let the fit of the new bra do the talking first once it’s on. There are very few people in this world who get as stoked about a great fitting bra or piece of lingerie the way us fitters do, this is FACT. (It literally makes my heart sing!) On a more serious second note I also feel like many women have been made to believe that their self-worth is measured by their size or weight. (Which is NEVER the case because there is no right or wrong way to have a body and they are all glorious in their own unique way) I would hate to go on my bra hunting mission whilst my client is in that fitting room concerned or in shock about her size. Because trust me, finding out your actual bra size can be really surprising and I’ve witnessed many ‘Whoa’ reactions (both good and bad) in our rooms.
My customer tries on the first bra and after a couple of small strap adjustments and fit inspections I proudly nod and am satisfied with the fit. Band snug yet comfortable on the loosest hook? Check! Center gore lying flat? Check! No bulging, spilling or gaping? Check! Customer feeling good? Check!
I hop out of the room and return swiftly with a variety of bras for her to try on and choose from. She expresses her delight followed by her previous struggles trying to find bra’s that fit. This is a story all too familiar.
I think it’s safe to say a good 80% of our new customers come in wearing the wrong size bra. (Statistics actually show that between 60 to 80% of women in general wear the wrong size) My customer came in wearing a 42DD while her measured size was a 36H.
The thing is that we are all different and building trust with my clients is key. Because not everyone is as comfortable standing there in their bra in front of a stranger and having them professionally ‘assess’ your breast size. In my line of work I have helped women from all walks of life. Of all shapes, sizes, ages, physical abilities and gender identities. Not one has ever been more beautiful than the other. We share laughs in these rooms and we sometimes share tears. (Though admittedly the tears often come from trying to hang thongs or bathing suit bottoms on tiny plastic hangers).
At the end of the day when I see a smile on that customers face, a little more ‘pep’ in their step as they exit the fitting room and their head (and breasts!) a bit higher I smile to myself and think….
“A tantalizing feast for all the senses!” That’s how one guest described our carnival themed lingerie fashion show that was held on May 29th at the Cascades Casino Ballroom in Langley, BC. A tantalizing treat it was! We couldn’t be happier with how it all turned out. We’ve been planning this show since the one in 2014 concluded, and dare we say, we think we did a pretty good job.
Now that the costumes, glue and glitter have been put away for another year, it’s time to reflect on what was possibly, the best night in the Valley!
A Night at the Carnival was in our minds almost a year before it even happened. We’ve been dreaming up the dazzling headpieces, flowing skirts and outfit combinations since our last show in May of 2014. 2014 also marked the beginning of this annual fashion show which benefits our chartitable initiative, Supportive Start.
Our night began with a bang… oh should we say ‘flash’? A a festive red carpet lead our guests to a photo booth complete with circus props like a top hat, ring of fire and a barbell. Pin-Up Perfection photography was on site providing all of our guests with a snapshot to remember the night with.
Kalala Organic Estate Winery was pouring their wine, our Cupcake girl was serving up sweet treats from Frosting Cupcakery and best of all – our Carnival Midway was in full swing! That’s right, this carnival had cheeky lingerie themed games! Some of your favorites were the Pic-a-Pop Balloon girl, Plinko and Bra-Pong board.
As the show neared, guests took their seats and maybe took a peek into their swag bags! The bags were filled with coupons and offers from our sponsors. VIPs were treated with Coquette’s best selling sequin rhinestone tassel pasties! Once the lights dimmed and the show got underway, we were introduced to our Emcee, The Purrrfessor. He kept us laughing and entertained throughout the show. He wasted no time in introducing the live music performance by Jazz street band, Babyface Brass and the first act of the evening, the Kix’ies tap dancers. These girls demonstrated the awesome staying power of our Kix’ies stockings – they didn’t budge an inch throughout their entire high-energy dance!
Once the opening acts were complete, the main event was set to start! Much anticipation led up to this for both us at Forever Yours and all of our guests! We opened the night with a runway walk fit for the Big Top! Professional Model, Jihan Amer opened the show dramatically in a long black cape lined with bold carnival stripes, a glittering carousel headpiece and one of our satin corsets by iCollection Lingerie. Pin-Up model Dixie Delight followed as a whip-toting Ringmaster shadowed by her feline friend, Sassy May dressed in a cheetah cat suit. Elly Mayday followed their lead in a leopard corset by Shirley of Hollywood. We even had a strongman complete with his own 1000lb barbell. Yes, it wasn’t just a show of women’s lingerie, we were sure to display our boxer briefs by SAXX and MyPakage as well. The energy was infectious – DJ Evilyn 13 kept the crowd into it with an up-tempo electronic sound set.
Wasting no time, we then took our guests on a trip around the world. Naturally, we opened the set with a pair of Canadians dressed as lumberjacks! Elly Mayday graced our stage in a Red Lace Sapph Bra, daisy dukes, red suspenders and a gliterring axe. She was flanked by Jon, one of our male models in our best selling Plaid MyPakage Boxers. Gorgeous costumes representing Mexico, France, the USA and India followed – each with their own headpieces or skirts. Once this set was underway, it was jaw-dropping to see our handmade costumes in action. Yes, you read it correctly – handmade! Hours and sometimes days were spent carefully crafting each of the pieces you saw on our runway. The Forever Yours Staff has been busy this past year. I don’t think we’ll ever be able to vacuum up all the glitter that’s anchored itself in our carpets!
Leading into the intermission we whetted your appetite and sweet tooth with costumes that paid an homage to the treats we used to enjoy at carnivals as children. Dixie Delight opened in a retro pin-up style diner outfit and her walk partner complimented her in a long apron that revealed his SAXX from the back. They tempted the audience with their trays of faux french fries and vanilla milkshakes. Model, Erin worked the runway and the crowd next in her popcorn skirt that she born to wear! She shimmied and shaked her way up and down the catwalk making her Empreinte bra and panty set the centre of attention. I don’t think we’ll be forgetting that look anytime soon! Check out those curves! More looks complete with cotton candy headpieces, skirts with pretzels printed on them and crocheted ice cream cones followed. There were too many fun outfits in this set!
After we broke for intermission, our guests once again played carnival games to their hearts content and shopped at our on-site Forever Yours Lingerie Pop-Up Shop. Exclusive lingerie items made their debut at the shop and well as crowd pleasers like SAXX boxers and Kix’ies. All were snapped up by happy guests.
Once the lines subsided, it was time to start the show again! This time we were wondered by The Trained Human, Matt Henry – a master juggler extraordinaire. Juggling as many as 5 or 6 glowing orbs (it was hard to count!), we settled in for another feast for our eyes. The fourth walk was themed ‘Fun and Games’. We took your favorite games and put them on our models to showcase some of our favorite lingerie pieces! Ring toss, chess sets and skirts made of tickets showcased pieces by Chantelle, Marlies Dekkers, Panache and more!
Next up was a mesmerizing performance by Burlesque artist, Voracious V. She captivated our audience with her futuristic interpretation of the classic artform. Her dark, mysterious performance opened the stage perfectly for our next walk, ‘Black Magic’. Things got a little darker as we presented some of our favorite numbers set in classic dark colours from rich purples to black leather .
To end the show we wanted to light up the night! The final act was Jessie Rockley, a professional hula hooper. Hula hooping isn’t just a childhood pasttime anymore! The black lights turned on and Jessie worked as many as three glowing hoops spin around her body for at least five minutes! We kept the black light on as we opened our final walk for the night. We wanted to try something unique and made a statement with lingerie, bras, swimsuits and boxers that all glowed under the special light. Our models had fun with the audience throwing out glow stick necklaces and bracelets, sending them home with yet another nostalgic souvenir.
Thanks again to everyone who came out and helped raise funds for our charitable initiative, Supportive Start. Since it’s inception, we’ve been able to provide numerous bras, panties and toiletries to women in need spanning from Abbotsford to the Downtown Eastside in Vancouver. With fit clinics happening almost monthly now, it’s events like our fashion shows that make it possible!
“Happiness is like an orgasm; it’s better if you don’t fake it”.
You may need a cold shower after this read, and we’re not just talking about this ridiculous heat wave…
Partnered, alone, “wham, bam, thank you ma’am” or a long, satisfying romp in the sheets – nothing beats a toe-curling orgasm. This amazing gift from our bodies is something to celebrate and we’ll take any chance to do so!
And besides being a pleasurable momentary high, there are a few of the mind-blowing health benefits of having regular orgasms.
You Will Sleep Better – Stress, anxiety, insomnia keeping you up at night? Rub one out and release your way to a good night’s sleep.
They Offer Pain Relieving Benefits – Oxytocin is also released when you climax and this hormone is fantastic at helping your body combat pain.
Improvement in Concentration and Memory – Orgasms are great for brain health! Need to study for a test? Make sure to schedule in some loving first.
Improved Cardiovascular Health and Longer Lifespans – Besides burning some calories, all that heart pumping is good for the overall life of your heart. That’s right, the more you’re getting it, or treating yourself right, the longer your heart will take care of you.
They Lead to The Fountain of Youth – Studies have shown that people who regularly masturbate or have fulfilling sex actually appear younger.
Really Great for Your Reproductive Organ Health – The more frequently you’re taking your feel-good parts for a spin, the better off those parts and all their buddies will hopefully be. I’m looking at you, ovaries and prostates.
Happiness – Orgasms don’t only release oxytocin, they also give your brain a welcome punch of serotonin; that’s the rainbows and sparkles of brain chemicals and we can all use some more of that stuff.
THEY FEEL AMAZING!
