I’ve been driving down to Lonavla for Sunday brunches with the entire family ever since I was a child. This time I decided to take a trip to Novotel Imagica located closer to home at Khopoli only 2 hours from Mumbai. The property is located right adjacent to Adlabs Imagica adding the convenience to utilise the adventure activities of the theme park. Right from the welcome at the hotel to all the activities taking place in and around the lobby area you can see elements of the theme park. Located at a slightly higher altitude the weather was chilly at night and pleasant in the mornings.

The 9 storied property contains 287 rooms and suites. The resort property offers a plethora of accommodation choices with 260 Superior rooms, 20 Premier rooms, 5 suites, 1 Presidential suite & 1 specially-abled room. There are predominantly three room views of the theme park, pool and the hills. The property is pretty spacious and is buzzing with interactive activities. There’s storytelling, swimming classes, craft, colouring, painting and clay art for the kids with a well conceptualised kids corner. There’s indoor & outdoor gaming facilities, a pool surrounded by cabanas and a well-equipped gym. Be it a wedding, conference or a party the property has a range of banquets which can be divided as per personal preferences.

When it comes to the food and beverage, there are four major restaurants and cafes. Nitro; named after Imagica’s famous rollercoaster ride, serves unique cocktails and food items with live karaoke, ladies night and DJ night. Tubby’s Bistro; is a bistro style pastry shop which has treats loved by all kids and is also perfect for a high tea setting. A pool bar – Flotz; surrounded by cabanas with a huge outdoor space which would be ideal for a private party, while you sip on some hand-crafted cocktails and listen to some live music  you can gorge on some freshly barbecued food. And finally The Square; where all the meals and brunches take place. This buffet layout contains regional and international cuisines. They serve basics like chaat, salads and cheese platters. They also serve french breads, south indian appams, fresh naan bread, whole roast chicken, waffles & pancakes, asian dimsums, pastas, Bunny Chows, Quebec Style Poutine, Polish Pierogi, Indian mains and much more. The Sunday brunch is a celebrated event at the Novotel Imagica, with a wide variety of food they also have Imagica’s parade taking place at The Square itself.

The overall experience at Novotel Imagica was an enjoyable one. It’s a kid friendly huge property with great food and a bunch of interactive and adventurous activities taking place right beside the property.
