There are a few things to love about a matching set.
#1 is that you never have to figure out what to match it with because it already comes with its matching piece.
#2 is that you can break up the set to pair it with other things you already have in your closet.
Thank God the Brassy Set is one of those sets you can do the above-mentioned with and more! Check out three easy, breezy ways to start maximize its’ style potential.
This look was easy by pairing the Brassy Top with a pair of jeans that I already had along with a pair of matching loafers.
The set was broken up with this look by rocking the Brassy Skirt with one of our Fearless Women Tees!
Of course, wearing the Brassy Top and Skirt as a set is always an option. Oh, the things we can do with a coordinating set! Thoughts on your favorite look?? Let me know in the comments…
This week, you’ve been getting the tea on all of the details on the new dresses that have been recently released on BLB.
This set was actually made by mistake. Now that I think about it, that’s what happens when alot of pieces are made. The fabric and pattern is usually ready to go. But by the time, I’ve tweaked this and removed that, it ends up being an entirely different look altogether.
That was certainly the case with this one. I knew I wanted it to be something that had some flowiness to it but I wasn’t quite sure what. This is what I originally sketched.
When it is was all said and done, it turned out much better than I could’ve imagined. A flirty, fun set with sex appeal and uniqueness.
When it hit the runway, it looked like the model was walking air!
You can mix and match these separately with other pieces you already own. Thoughts on the Serious Business Top & Skirt set? Let me know in the comments…
The Dark Romance Dress was released at BLB a couple of weeks back as part of the Fashion Not Fear Collection. It hit the runway for the first time at the SPIRIT Fashion Show.
It was the first dress that hit the runway and one of the dresses that I was worried about the most. Using textiles that are new to me along with a pattern style that is completely different from what I used to; made this was one of the hardest dresses that I have made.
The fabric is a chiffon type of material that has a textured pattern of burgundy. It also has a slight bit of shine to it with layers of ruffles. It is so girly!
Here is how it looked layer by layer:
This dress was a true labor of love but I remember the exact moment I realized this is a HOT ass dress. That moment is when Dominique Aruede graced the stage. To say she killed it is an understatement!

If sexy, Summer tops is your thing, then the Lipstick Top will be yours.
The top was released earlier this week. Its the epitome of a perfect top for sunny days and warm, summer nights. With its’ sexy deep v-neckline, spaghetti straps, and tie back…this top checks off all of my boxes for a definite must have!
As of late, I found myself bored with my handbags. Seems like I’ve over-carried them all and was over it. So, each of them were neatly place in a dusting bag and put at the top of the closet.
Since then, I’ve been waking around just carrying my wallet. Which, seemed like a great idea at the time. And it still is in certain situations. But, there are times when I need to go handsfree and can’t go through the paranoia of wondering how the hell I put my wallet.
On handfree required days; I decided to change it up. Instead of going back to the closet for an oldie. I decided to try out the fun bags available at BLB. Why not, right?!
So, here are the two bags I’ve rocked.
I carried the Trash Can Bag to the movies. It carried all of my stuff and snacks!
The Studded Bunny bag was my companion on date night with my boo at a sushi bar. I need both hands when I’m eating sushi. One for the chopsticks and the other on my stomach. This bag was perfect for it.
Both worked out perfectly. Plus, the compliments I got when I went into them for something didn’t hurt either.
Which is your favorite?! Let me know in the comments…
