Hi, I am Faith from Singapore. Welcome to FaithyVanityTable! I blog about beauty, travel and lifestyle. In this lil' space of mine, you will find mostly reviews of products & services, makeup tips & tutorials and the occasional random musings that are travel & lifestyle related.
By now, many would have come to know Hannah, the cute orange lop I adopted 5 months ago from Voices For Animals. I shared her story here, so if you are keen to know more about bunny adoption process, do click on the link.
Circling around this "Adopt, Don't Buy" topic, if you also feel the same way about putting a price tag on helpless animals and reaping huge profit margins out of these fur babies, read on.
5 Reasons Why You Should Stop Buying from Pet Shops and Restock Your Pet Supplies Online
Same concept as buying pets from pet stores - these same pet shops thrive on profits from selling both pet supplies and animals. Therefore, making purchases of your pets' food supplies or accessories from these shops will mean feeding their business and contributing to the continuation and expansion of these chain pet stores.
Due to being a brick-and-mortar store, these businesses need to pay overheads and rent so their products are highly marked-up. Who end up absorbing the costs? YOU.
Pet supplies shop specialises in pet supplies ONLY; they do not sell animals.
Online pet supplies shops mostly operate from private homes (SOHO), and these business owners are usually pet lovers and pet owners themselves. Thus, they are the best people to recommend you what your pets need, if you are a new pet owner.
Due to the humble nature of online pet supplies business, these online stores cannot afford to overstock on products; so the food products are mostly fresher than retail stores. One fine example of such online pet supplies store is Kohepets.
I ordered some food supplies for Hannah, and she was so excited during our unboxing!
For bunny owners, you'd know one of the best hay for your bun is Momi Hay from Japan. And Momi Hay is not readily available at chain pet stores. Not all online pet supplies stores carry Momi as well, but thanks to Kohepets, Hannah's supply of fresh Momi hay will always continue! (I paid for her hay by the way.)
I had excellent customer service experience with Kohepets. The lady boss gave me sincere recommendations of stuff suitable for Hannah, and the delivery was timely and flawless. This is certainly one of the online pet supplies stores in Singapore I will repurchase from over and over again!
For Papas & Mamas of doggies, kitties and other small animals, Kohepets has even more offerings for you! Check out their website to know more! https://www.kohepets.com.sg/
Personalised skincare isn't something new, but have you heard of a tailored-made face cream with 40 257 possible formulas and out of these, ONE is uniquely yours?
Introducing a pioneering French luxury skin care label, at the forefront of technology, and boasts of being the first and only skincare brand to prove the effectiveness of each of its products at the end of each treatment, on every woman using them - IOMA PARIS.
MA CRÈME by IOMA In.Lab
Consisting of Day and Night cream, this set of exacting, highly personalised skincare is almost all you need for a complete skincare routine. Each base contains up to 8 different serums tailored according to your individual skin needs. Bid adieu to your time-consuming 10-step Korean skincare routine!
My trial the IOMA PARIS counter at Tampines Mall
The skin diagnosis takes about 10 minutes and a IOMA skincare consultant will be there to assist and give you advice on your skin needs. The top left photo above shows the machine where your made-to-measure Ma Creme is formulated after the machine diagnosis test, and you can collect your bottles within a few minutes.
You will bring home two of such "report cards" recording details of your customised formula. The code is for easy retrieval on IOMA database, for your next visit.
The bottle is functionally designed with a pump and a side indicator of how much product is left.
Both Day and Night cream are the same in color, texture and viscosity. The only difference is the colour of the bottle packaging it comes in.
One application per day (for Day Cream) and per night (for Night Cream), two pumps for the whole face and neck. 12 to 15 weeks of treatment.
This set of skincare was all I packed for my recent trip to Amsterdam, and it was also all I used for the last 3 weeks.
It is really awesome for travel to any climate, because this is your all-in-1 customised bottle of cream with all the necessary serums your skin needs! When I don't feel lazy, I will use a toner before applying the creams.
Texture is light and product spreads & absorbs easily, with no greasy feel. Makeup generally goes on well on top, so a makeup primer is not really necessary.
I find that with the use of Ma Creme, my skin is as well-maintained and moisturised as when I was diligently conducting my regular 5-step skincare routine. My face feels soft, hydrated as per normal without any adverse reactions. I can't say for sure it improves my skin texture either, before my skin was pretty fine prior to using this.
Overall: I really do enjoy how easy and time-saving my skincare routine has now become! And since my skin is reacting well with this, I will continue to use for a long time.
NARS Singapore has just brought in a series of Limited Edition rouges - a new variation in textures of their most iconic blush shade, Orgasm.
I swatched all three at the counters and honestly, my interest was only piqued when I smeared the Liquid Blush on the back of my hands. Instant love!!
In the U.S, NARS Liquid Blush offers four different shades. Unfortunately for Singapore, we currently only can purchase the Orgasm shade from local stores.
What I really like about the packaging is the pump and how handy & cute the bottle is. Material feels solid and even though I have not dropped it before (*cross fingers), I think it could possibly take a few knocks or falls. Hehe.
I have tried many cream blushers, cushion blushers and a handful of liquid blushes as well but I can't find any liquid blush of this quality, intensity and packaging.
One drop is MORE than enough for both your cheeks - talk about cost-savings! Colour is so so so pigmented yet it can easily be blended to look fresh & natural, with just a hint of adorable flush on the cheeks.
Check me out below in my MOTD and my Demo video to see how easy & fuss-free it is to use!

Estée Lauder Media Preview of Christmas Gift Sets - YouTube
The most joyous time of the year has arrived! As you indulge in the festive cheer, have you given some thought to your Christmas shopping? I am sure you did, since it is just 15 days away!
Apologies I have been busy and couldn't do up a more comprehensive gift guide featuring all my favourite beauty brands on a single blog post. Follow me on Instagram and Facebook, and you will see an assortment of different beauty gift ideas on my feed, all through November & December!
Since I only have time for ONE blog post for this Christmas season, I'd like to dedicate it to one of my top five most favourite luxury brands since the day I discovered my passion for makeup & beauty, and this is none other than Estée Lauder! (I can still vividly remember my first EL face wash I invested when I was 15, and how the ANR gift sets lured me to throw in my first full-time salary when I was 20!)
A couple of weeks ago, I was invited to the year-end media appreciation party of Estée Lauder Group of Companies in Singapore. There was where I got the above sneak peek of the year 2017's Christmas gift collection.
And these were what I brought home!
Besides two of the Estée Lauder Christmas gift sets, I also hauled back Aerin Amber Musk EDP fragrance, Origins Mix & Mask Set and Peace Of Mind on-the-spot relief treatment, and Tom Ford Ultra Shine Lip Gloss.
You can obviously guess my most favouites , ey!
Estée Lauder After Hours The Smoky Eye
Estée Lauder After Hours The Smoky Eye includes:
1. Sumptous Extreme Lash Multiplying Volume Mascara 01Extreme Black (Full-Size)
2. Pure Color Envy Sculpting Eyeshadow in 20 Ominous and 01 Brash Bronze (Full-Size)
3. Double Wear Stay-in-Place Eye Pencil 01 Onyx
This is a perfect gift for your girlfriends who adore semi-smoky eye makeup looks. The eyeshadow exterior is designed in classy black & gold polka dot packaging, and the handy compact is great for travel. Another travel-size featured item here is the eyeliner, and if you do not know by now, this is one of the best-sellers with raving reviews all over the internet for years now.
Estée Lauder Pure Color Envy Sculpting Lipstick
Estée Lauder Pure Color Envy Sculpting Lipstick Gift Set features 4 full-size lipsticks and a limited edition pocket mirror. The four shades are: 240 Tumultous Pink, 150 Decadent, 340 Envious, and 420 Rebellious Rose.
These four lipsticks are a thoughtfully curated, all-inclusive array of fuchsia pink, warm red, rose pink and neutral brown shades; and I believe they suit most Asian skins. To me, this is superb gift set for lipstick lovers! The packaging spells decadence due to the gold & red packaging. I specially adore the cute lips prints on the lipstick casing! However something to note: the quality of the lipstick case slightly differs from its usual Pure Color Envy packaging. This feels much lighter in hand, so it does take away a few points off the luxe score.
Estée Lauder Christmas Gift Sets are available in Singapore at all of their counters now. They have both skincare and makeup sets, and featured on this post were only two makeup sets I received in my event goodie bag. Do check them out at EL counters early to avoid disappointment!
~ Good news! In the spirit of giving, I will be holding a #FVT12DaysOfChristmas GIVEAWAY starting on 13th December to 24th December! ~
Yes, that will be a total of 12 different giveaways for 12 days ongoing! And even better news, one of the giveaways is a gift set you see featured here in this post!

Brand Surprise Boxes @ $29 (Worth $100)
Reveal and Review of Korean Beauty Surprise Box
There are a total of 4 full sized items in my Surprise Box and they are from well-known brands such as Nature Republic and Mediheal. I am going to just show you a few of my favourites.
NATURE REPUBLIC TEA TREE MASK
MEDIHEAL TEATREE CARE SOLUTION ESSENTIAL MASK
Both the Nature Republic and Mediheal face masks contain Tea Tree Oil and are suited for oily/combination skin types. Nature Republic has a good reputation for effective natural skincare products at a amazing price point, and this one didn't disappoint too. Mediheal was surprisingly very good quality too - in fact, comparing the two side by side, I'd say Mediheal fare better as it is more fitted to the skin.
Honestly, unlike the first Surprise Box I got from Lazada HERE, I think this Korean Beauty box's element of surprise erred on the side of disappointment for me personally. Although it is definitely value-for-money with so many products at the price of $29 (Usual price: $100), the products looked too similar - I'd prefer a box with more variety.
That being said, not to worry, Lazada collaborates with MANY other brands such as Shiseido, Laneige, Yves Rocher, La Roche Posay, Watsons', and more. Therefore, you can narrow down selection to your most favourite brand!
Having flawless skin is everyone's dream. As we age, we find ourselves further and further away from the beauty dream...
And there I was... one step closer to that dream as I was invited to media trial sessions of DiscoveryPico with EHA Clinic.
DiscoveryPICO isthe second generation of picosecond lasers and the most innovative medical laser available in the market today. It addresses skin problems such as melasma, sun spots, age spots, freckles, even birthmark and unwanted tattoo.
PICO toning by DiscoveryPICO helps to address problems of various pigmented lesions, acne scars, making the skin look brighter and smoother.
How does the DiscoveryPICO work?
When the laser light is being absorbed by the pigmented lesions, the light will vibrate and break the pigment into the smallest particles, in thin “dust” form. As compared to the traditional Q-switch Nanosecond YAG laser, the DiscoveryPICO machine works in ultrashort picosecond pulses which is 100x shorter pulse duration than in nanosecond. The tiny particles will then be easily eliminated by the body immune system.
Why PICO toning by DiscoveryPICO?
Suitable for All
I opted for Dr Elias Tam from EHA Clinic to conduct my two Pico toning laser sessions. There are no lack of raving reviews on Dr Tam's skills and services, so I instinctively trusted my skin needs with him.
BEFORE & AFTER
Photos shown below were taken before and after the first Pico Toning session, with no makeup. All my portraits in this blog post have no editing and no filter.
During my second session (which took place after a 2-months gap from my first session. I couldn't go earlier due to hectic work & travel schedule) , Dr Tam noticed my hormonal breakouts and decided to followup with a newly acquired machine, Omega Light Dual to help with my blemishes. This treatment follows right after the Pico laser treatment session.
OMEGA LIGHT DUAL
I am glad to have gone with my instincts. Dr Elias Tam was really patient in hearing me out during consultation. He is approachable and professional, you naturally feel comfortable with him. During the 15 minutes laser treatment, he will chat with you to make you forget about any discomfort associated with the session.
Discovery Pico Pain Rating: 1/10
For Pico toning sessions, no numbing cream is required. The main purpose is to rejuvenate & brighten my skin, not to treat my pigmentation so the doctor selected the lowest frequency settings on the machine.I think most people are able to tolerate the lasers sessions without much discomfort. I personally did not feel any pain during the two sessions, probably just a very quick and mild prickling sensation.
PICO toning by DiscoveryPICO is safe and unlike traditional lasers, it doesn't cause damage to surrounding skin areas. For those who undergo a higher wavelength to target skin problems such pigmentation or tattoos, they may experience redness, swelling or peeling.
For myself, I did not encounter any undesirable side effects, except for a little bit of redness for the first hour which could be easily concealed with sunblock lotion, and slight peeling which was totally resolved after I washed my face.
Dr Tam was very nice to offer me a bottle of EHA Hydra Serum to provide my face with the necessary post-laser hydration. Although my skin was already smooth and glowing with no signs of dryness, the Hydra Serum gives my skin a further boost of hydration and felt very soothing too. I am still using it weeks after my laser sessions!
Post Laser Skin
Now, I am enjoying radiant, brighter, firmer skin than before! I noticed my post acne marks and freckles are lighter, and pores are smaller too. If I continue a few more sessions with a higher frequency, I AM SURE all my freckles and pores will diminish! I only have to wait till I can clear out 2-3 days, in case there is down time ( to cater to possible post-laser redness, peeling and swelling).
Exciting news for Double Wear fans - the wait is over! The brand new variant of the ever popular foundation : Estée Lauder Double Wear Nude Water Fresh Makeup is here in Singapore!
As an avid user of DW original, it thrills me to know that now there is a lighter version with added sun & environmental protection.
Features of Nude Water Fresh Makeup:
Natural semi-dewy finish
SPF 30/PA++ and anti-oxidants added
Water-infused, moisturising formula
Laminaria Saccharina helps control shine
Sheer to Medium coverage
24 Hours Long wearing
I love how the foundation feels like second-skin and that I can skip sunblock, since SPF30 is ample for my sensitive skin. Lightweight and thin in consistency, it is a dream to blend. I sometimes use a setting powder over it; and with that, makeup lasts the whole day with no touchups. Can't vouch for 24 hours longevity though! (10 hours is good enough for me. Don't wish to risk my skin to test this claim.)
Coverage is at best, buildable to medium; I'd wish for it to be medium buildable to full however. On the flip side, lesser coverage also means easier makeup removal. Less wastage on micellar water and cotton pads!
One thing to note: the lack of a pump can mean messier application as this foundie is pretty runny.
TIP: Go easy on the bottle shaking and remember to cover bottle tip with your index finger as you get the product out on your finger (instead of pouring directly onto palms.)
Pure Color Envy Lip Volumizer
Launched back in 2015, this is an EL product that I personally feel have been under the radar for too long! A great alternative to your usual lip gloss, plus the ability to pucker up your pout game. Fellow thin-lipped Sisters, rejoice!
I definitely enjoyed the slight cooling sensation and non-stickiness, unlike some of its competing luxury brands. With a natural light pink hue, it is gorgeous to use alone even! This one is definitely going into my makeup pouch staples as touching up with matte lipsticks can sometimes can be a nightmare. With this Lip Volumizer, my problem of dry thin lips can be alleviated. Yay!
Products used for above #MOTD:
Estée Lauder Double Wear Nude Water Fresh Makeup retails at SGD68; and Pure Color Envy Lip Volumizer at SGD40. All available now!
Sephora US launched this Bobbi Brown Nude Drama Palette (Limited Edition) last week as a store exclusive - which means you probably can only lay your hands on it through direct purchase at Sephora Store (or Online store). I am not certain if non-U.S countries will eventually launch this; but in any case, you can try personal shopper websites.
This limited edition Bobbi Brown product at a significantly lower-than-its-regular-prices price point, undoubtedly is going to garner much attention.
Shade Names (from L to Right) : Ivory, Halo, Bonfire, Antique Rose, Sunkissed, Pink Bellini, Earth, Terracotta, Velvet Plum, Saddle, Black Sand and Espresso. MY THOUGHTS Every major makeup brand came up with their own neutrals eyeshadow palette, even Bobbi Brown itself (this is like its third one, I think?) so this is nothing new really. However, with Bobbi Brown's huge success with its predesssor Nude on Nude palette, it's only natural that they want to replicate that success by formulating an improved & more expansive version.
Fans of pinkish nude/rose brown will adore this high quality square nude pink case that neatly houses 12 shades. Quite a handy casing, light enough for travel, fitted with a mirror huge enough to see the whole face and not just the eyes.
12 shades in total ranging from cream, nudes, orange, rose, taupe, to light and dark browns. It is a good blend. This palette basically got you all covered, if you are into neutrals. With the inclusion of Espresso, you don't even need an additional eyeliner.
Texture & Quality
5 shimmering (some have bigger speckles than others and these are the so-called 'sparkle' finish), 5 mattes and 2 metallic finishes; with the mattes mostly sculpting shades like brown... which I LOVE! Powders are considerably smooth like the usual Bobbi Brown shadows.
Price: USD59. For a high-end brand like Bobbi Brown well-known for its quality, this is rather value-for-money as you get 12 shades for that price. Single colour pans/pots already set you back by about USD26.
Ease of Use
Some of the shades are not super pigmented. Certain matte shades doesn't adhere to the brushes. Eg: Ivory and Antique Rose don't show up on me without heavy layering. Shades with larger shimmers have potential for fallouts - this problem gets exacerbated when you don't use a good brush. Some may also find the sparkle shades a little too glittery. That said, I still find the shades glide on smoothly and look very pretty on the lids. Bonfire, Sunkissed, Pink Bellini is way up my makeup alley.
Needless to say, Bobbi Brown shadows has great staying power.
Will I recommend this purchase?
Yes, if you're a fan of Bobbi Brown or if you're looking for a good-quality, easy-to-use, comprehensive eyeshadow palatte that takes you from day to night.
No, if you're a hardcore beauty junkie who owns countless neutrals eyeshadow palettes OR if you're into densely pigmented eyeshadows, you will not fall for this. I'd say, go for Too Faced (much cheaper) or Urban Decay (similar prices and unbeatable shades & pigmentation).
Natural Day Look

As you'd already knew from my last post, I recently adopted a Holland Lop rabbit!
Introducing Hannah, the bunny...
She was found by a dog rescuer, Voices of Animals, at a local dog breeding farm after it was forced to close down due to negligence. There weren't any other rabbits in the farm. The saddest thing is...she only had mouldy pellets in her food bowl at the breeder's farm, nothing else. No one to care for her, no other bunny family, no fresh hay, etc. She's been suffering from snuffles and teeth problems as a result of a bad diet back in the farm.
My partner & I decided to take Hannah in, as we both have had experience of raising Feefee, our first lop bunny...and Feefee passed on 5 years ago.
Do you know? A Holland lop bunny is pretty much like a puppy, with an intelligence level equivalent to a 3-year old child. They have emotions & feelings just like anyone of us.
She can do tricks like turning in circles and standing on command...in exchange for her favourite treats. Haha.
Food pellets are not a rabbit's main diet.
The reason why I got a bit off-topic to blog about pet adoption is because, I really hope to spread the message of Adopt, Don't Buy.
This is a cause that's very near to my heart.
Pet stores source their animals from breeders. Most pet store owners and breeders are out for profits and do not genuinely care for the welfare of animals. The conditions of breeding farms are usually horrible. If you have ever passed by a pet shop, you may notice how jacked-up the prices of pet bunnies are... one young bunny is sold at a hefty SGD180-500! Pet trade is all about $$$, not out of love for animals. My Feefee was bought from a local breeder 7 years ago, because I didn't know better.
AND if you don't know, animal shelters such as SPCA are eventually forced to put down these poor babies due to space constraints. YES, countless of innocent animals die when their owners abandon them!
If you care about animals, don't buy from a pet store or a breeder! PLEASE ADOPT! Give those rescued animals a new lease of life.
How to adopt a pet in Singapore?
There are plenty of Facebook groups offering you information and updates of available pets for adoption. Here, I'd just share more about how you can adopt a bunny.
Below is a list of (not all-inclusive and exhaustive) of organisations where you can view rabbits up for adoption:
Adoption Process: First, you contact the organizer directly either through email or at pet adoption drives. Pet shelters will either ask you to fill up a questionnaire online or screen you face-to-face when you visit the bunny. It's just a casual meetup to see how you interact with the bunny. If you passed this round, you will be asked to fill up an adoption form before you bring the bunny home. Some stricter rescue centres may require a second round of screening where they will request for a house visit to your residence, to get an understanding on how the pet will be housed at your place. This is the time where you can ask them questions on how best to keep your bunny.
Adoption fee ranges from $30-100. A huge red flag is when the adoption fee is more than $100 for a healthy rabbit: beware these may be breeders or chaps who want to "sell off" a bunny. Be vigilant about WHO you adopt from.
Suggestion: Before you take the bunny home, ensure you bunny-proof your home and prepare the bunny's food & housing eg. a play pen or a sizeable cage. You will also need a pet carrier to transport the bunny home. It is good to lay some newspapers, litter and hay in your carrier to lessen the bunny's anxiety levels during transport.
Feel free to ask me any question about keeping a bunny, or adopting one! I'd be very glad to help in any way. And for anybunny who is a fan of Hannah the bunny, follow @faithyvanitytable Instagram stories!
It has been too long since I wrote anything personal...and I kind of miss connecting with my readers like this, so here comes a post to tell you what I had been and will be up to, for the second half of 2017!
3Day Milan Trip
I followed my partner on his flight to Milan last month (For those who are new here, my hubby is an airline pilot.). We had 3 free days in Milan; as it was a last minute decision for me to join him, I actually didn't prepare a proper travel itinerary. Honestly, even if I do have time to plan a scheduled trip in advance, I wouldn't do it. I am all about #YOLO, you know. Haha! Readers who read my previous trips' notes will know I am quite spontaneous, and well... probably a bit messy.
Shopping in Milan
If you're short of time and have only 48 hours or so, I suggest you banish the thought of sightseeing or taking day trips at all. JUST . FOCUS . ON. SHOPPING .
Milan is THE capital of fashion & shopping. Sure... New York, London, Paris, Tokyo have been nominated as fashion capitals as well; but in my humble opinion, MILAN IS KING (Of Fashion) and everyone else is at most, just a Queen. Okay, maybe Paris is on par.
Shops are all over the city and walking streets are longer, busier and more colourful than other cities. This can be a bane if you are short of time coz you will get distracted = waste precious hours.
So, where do you go shopping if you only have 48 hours or less?
1. Piazza Del Duomo
This world-renowned shopping gallery/tourist attraction needs no further introduction. One can't be at Milan and not visit this.
2. La Rinascente
Target market here: Fans of luxury labels and who prefer a one-stop shop.
You can find most of the major international brands in this eight-storey mall where it offers newer collections. Nothing is cheap here obviously. For beauty junkies, there are a few permium brands/lines not accessible in Singapore. However, to my dismay, Gucci makeup is not available here. (Why!!!)
Shopping Tip: Sign up for your tourist shopping card online before your trip to enjoy some discounts.
I have visited countless malls in my entire life, and this is an exceptional one I still reminisce, weeks after I returned home. To me, it's almost like an art gallery showcasing all the luxury designer brands and their limited collections of exclusive collaborations with celebrities. No shopping budget? Well, me neither. But who says we can't just be there to admire the impressive designs?
4. Via Della Spiga
This world-famous fashion district comprises of shopping streets intersecting one another, forming a cluster of glitz & glamour. Window shopping feels like a piece of heaven here. As you can see, it is also a perfect spot for OOTD captures. With all the major brands - both designer & contemporary, you can buy the classics as well as the latest season's designs here as many boutiques are in fact, flagship stores in Italy.
On a budget and want to snag some good bargains? You either have to hit the back alleys where the smaller local merchants are (they are all over the city so it's hard to pin down on one location); or you may happily settle for popular European mass market labels such as Zara, Mango, Desigual, etc.
Decked out in apparel from Bershka, bag from Furla, shades from Valentino.
Shopping Tip:Stradivarius, Bershka and Pull & Bear are Spanish clothing brands that are significantly lower-priced here in Milan than in Singapore. They possess a wider array of designs too. Prices at Zara and Mango are more controlled, and not necessarily cheaper than in Singapore; but they do have designs you don't find back home.
6. Outlet Shopping
There are plenty of designer outlet shopping in and around Milan City. I would recommend Serravalle and Foxtown, for its variety, location and prices.
I'd pick Serravelle Outlet anytime, because can you see how Instagram-worthy this spot is?!
Shopping Tip: Obtain travel brochures at Milan Visitor Centre on the first day of your trip to plan your shopping tours more effectively, and also have a feel of which outlet mall suits your needs better.
If you are planning to shop at Serravalle, visit the Information Counter first and get your "Fashion Passport" - a tourist shopping 10% discount card. Tell them you are a guest of a hotel at Milan downtown.
IMPORTANT to use this card if you are buying truckloads at Serravalle!
Shopping Tip: Bring along a trolley or a huge shopping bag to carry all your loots. Paper bags are too chunky to lug around for 5 hours, seriously. Remember your passport too! You'll need it for tax refunds.
Shopping Tip: Please do your tax refund! VAT is approximately 20%, but you get back about 14% refund after admin charges, etc. You need to cater 1.5 hours to do your tax refund either at the airport or the outlet's Tax Refund Office. Lines get really long, especially during Summer season.
In case you're wondering how to claim tax refunds, read left side of envelope.
I personally find the three contemporary brands mentioned above have the most feminine, quirky, stylish and whimsical bags.
Other Notes:Moschino bags are ridiculously cheap at Serravalle Outlet, so keep a look out for them. Michael Kors are also highly affordable and much cheaper than in Singapore; you will see many MK bags gracing the streets of Milan.
With the convenience of online shopping merchants such as Beautylish, Netaporter, and personal overseas shopper app Airfrov, beauty junkies could literally get their fix anywhere! Many international beauty brands are readily accessible in Singapore, and we have our lucky stars to thank for!
In Milan, do what the Milanos do.
KIKO Milano is a home brand that the Italians are extremely proud of - your gorgeous Milan baes own at least one makeup item from this brand. This popular beauty brand falls somewhere between mid-range and drugstore prices...I should say, mid-range quality makeup at drugstore prices, fitted with a boutique shopping experience! Fantastico!
Armani Beauty isn't much cheaper in Milan than at Shilla Duty Free Singapore , so I suggest making your purchases from Changi Airport departure hall before you fly out, if you can find the shades you want. Otherwise, better luck in Milan!
I don't think I can contribute a lot in this section. I had little time in Milan to hunt for food, so whatever convenient for us worked. Italians are great connoisseurs and chefs, so don't worry about having to eat poor-tasting food. I have never had a single substandard meal for all my trips to different parts of Italy.
Even the seemingly "tourist traps" are not bad at all! I enjoyed the food there, but of course the prices are on the higher side, since it is at the heart of the city.
This is an awesome lobster pasta meal I had at a "crew joint", La Locanda (they offer discounts and freebies to Singapore Airlines crew). It has a cute story behind it - SQ crew refer the name of this sauce as "Hello Kitty" sauce.
Fresh coat of Caramel Ash ombre hair color for Fall '17.
Welcoming yet another stylist to the Hair Flamingo Studio family, Ryota!
Ryota-san, or we can just simply addess him as Ryo, is no newbie when it comes to providing excellent hair services. He has many years of experience and he was previously with a famous Japanese salon in Singapore, CLEO HAIR & MAKE. I was ecstatic to be able to get my hair done by him because I know how good he is. Prior to this new haircut & colour, my hair was in an awful shape with black roots regrowth and a pletora of insane colours splashed at my hair ends.
PROMO!! Hurry and book Ryo for your hair appointment! He's always booked so reservations are a must! Quote my name for 20% discount on set menu services! (I have said this million times but you really gotta try their hair treatment which is part of a set menu.)
Thank you for reading this lengthy blog post, my lovelies! You guys have been so supportive throughout my blogging journey. Can't wait to squeeze out more time to share more about my life, travelogues, good deals, beauty reviews, etc. Sometimes I do get 'writer's block'. Maybe let me hear more from you on what you'd like to read next?
FYI, I am travelling to Perth, WA. in mid September for a week. Leave a comment down below if have any good recommendations to make my stay less boring!
