Recently found out about this place in Mudon area. I have never been to this side of Dubai but visiting there came to know about this mall where this Abatjour Bistro is easily located at the front of the Mall.
Abajtour is an Lebanese restaurant where you can indulge yourself in some authentic Lebanese and little variety of Italian food. This place offers sheesha as well and has a dedicated area for it.
What I ordered there?
Abatjour Special Salad
Alfredo Chicken Pasta
We started off by ordering hummus that showed up on our table with warm bread, Abajtor special salad crunchy and fresh no doubt and spicy potatoes were great as I was expecting.
Mix Grill was a platter of grilled meat and chicken pieces with bread pieces. Though I felt the serving was less as a main course. However, the Alfredo pasta was totally kicking. Loved the whole dish and finished it in no time.
In dessert we tried Crepe with strawberry and banana filling and satisfied our sweet craving. Ended our session on a cup of hot tea
The only suggestion I have for abatjour that the staff is active but looking continuously towards the table while guest having the food looks odd and makes the guest uncomfortable. Hope this will be rectified next time.
If you live near the mudoon area then you should check out this place next time for your Lebanese food fix.
Shop 4, Ground Floor, MudonCommunity Centre, Mudon, Motor City, Dubai
Earlier this week I visited this new place located in The Mall right opposite to Jumeirah Beach Hotel.
This place was well lid with spacious seating place to accommodate good number of people. The menu here is comprised of burgers, wraps, wings etc.
If you are a fan of fried stuff then this place serves good options with the option of grilled option as well. The chicken here is hormones free which is the best part about it.
What we tried here?
Half grilled chicken which was garlic spicy, let me tell you they have four levels of spice so I went for the second level of spice though after trying it I felt I could have tried the third even fourth level of spice being a desi palate. Chicken was well cooked and light on stomach but if you are someone who loves to try fried chicken then their chicken classic are the best option for you.
In burger I tried Mountain Burger Meal, it was juicy and delectable in taste thoroughly enjoyed it. In rice we tried savory rice and grilled chicken its also available with fried chicken. In sides Corn Kernels in a cup was such a delight to my taste buds. Do try it!
Regular or Spicy Strip we got to try 3 pieces of it but I felt it lacked some spices but with ketchup it felt right.
We didnt try any dessert here as we were totally full. So all the chicken lovers out there try out this place and let me know what do you think.
Its rare to find authentic Pakistani food taste in Dubai, though many claims to serve Pakistani food but being a green soul it disappoints me at lots of places. Pakistani food doesn’t mean it has to be extra spicy, oily and exaggerated version of Indian food. BnB a humble restaurant located near Lamcy plaza is one of my go to places for Pakistani food fix and delightfully last week I got to try its iftar for the first time.
BnB has recently refurbished and introduced a party hall for party and family events. The area was a decent space that can accommodate good number of people.
What to expect from BnB Iftar?
This place is already famous for its Nihari, Biryani and delectable kebabs. The iftar here is a good combo of veg and non veg. A diverse array of typical and traditional dishes like pakoras, samosa, hummus, fatoosh, fruit and channa chaat and dahi bharay etc followed by a variety of main course and some sweet dishes.
• 2 tablespoons dark cocoa powder (such as Dutch-process)
In a medium bowl, combine the flour, vanilla powder, and baking powder. Set aside.
In a separate large mixing bowl, combine the eggs and sugar. Using a mixer, beat until the mixture is creamy and light in color, about 5 minutes.
Add the milk and oil and continue to beat until just blended. If you are going to use vanilla extract instead of vanilla powder, add it to the mixture, too.
Gradually add the flour mixture to the wet ingredients and beat briefly, just until the batter is smooth and the dry ingredients are thoroughly incorporated. (DO NOT OVER-BEAT to prevent air pockets from forming in the batter.) The batter should be neither very thick nor too loose.
Divide the mixture into 2 equal portions.
Keep one portion plain.
Add the cocoa powder to the other portion and stir to blend. (If the consistency of this batter is thicker, add just a little milk and stir).
Preheat the multifry on normal range
Lightly butter and flour the multifry base
Scoop 3 tablespoons of the plain batter into the middle of the baking pan. Then scoop 3 tablespoons of the cocoa batter and pour in the center, on top of the plain batter. IMPORTANT: Do not stop and wait until the previous batter spreads—keep going! Do not spread the batter or tilt the multifry to distribute the mixture—it will spread and fill the pan gradually. Continue alternating the batters until they finish.
Bake for about 30 to 35 minutes or check if the cake after 20 mins if its ready, insert a toothpick in the center—it should come out clean when ready. Do not open the multifry before 15 to 20 mins
Remove the cake from the multifry
Turn the cake back over and allow to cool completely before slicing.

After all the basic setting of drinks, soup and bread counter, the main ballroom had all the festivity with the true spirit of Ramadan. The traditional setup with assorted desserts display was the highlight of the evening.
The Salad counter was beaming with the freshness and assortment of variety. From staple emirate Fatoush,Moutabel and Tabouleh to international touch diversity were spread on two counters. Being a salad person it was not less than a delight to see such array. Rich and creamy Hummus and Thoum I consumed more than I am proud of and seafood salads were a great addition.
Lamb kebah,Falafel,Fatayer, Shish Tawook and live station of Shawarma were some of the filling starters.Dim sum and sushi were a surprise element in the amidst of Arabic cuisine.
Main course was huge and from local to International cuisine, you get to taste the variety of flavors. Lamb Ouzi, Shawarma Station, cold and hot mezze, grilled items few are the names that were lavishly presented on the display. Chinese options were limited but everything was good in taste. I am glad to see veg variety was as good as non-veg which is rarely seen here in buffets.
The ostentatious presentation and variety of dessert was the most alluring part of the buffet. You get to enjoy traditional Um-Ali,basbosa,kunafa, gulaab jaman to assorted cheesecakes, cookies and mousses. Its like a heaven for sweet lover,if that doesn’t get you excited I don’t know what will.
