Stripes will never go out of style. They work for any style—from preppy to minimalist to eclectic and more—and on every body type. Of course, stripes are a year-round style, but they are definitely having a moment this summer. Street style stars, bloggers, and fashion “It girls” everywhere are loving summer stripes. Take a look at some of my favorite bloggers looks featuring my favorite go-to pattern.

Blair Eadie, Atlantic Pacific
Blair scored the perfect striped summer dress via Reformation. If I could wish a dress into my closet, it would be this one! I love the wide stripes and the low neckline.

Tamu McPherson, All The Pretty Birds
Tamu’s modern mix of different stripe patterns puts a spin on two classic pieces! I wouldn’t have thought to pair the two together before seeing this outfit.

Jordan Blackwell, Lil Miss JB Style
Jordan paired a striped trouser with a chambray shirt to create a classic yet effortless summer uniform. Be right back—going to find a pair of striped paper bag trousers now!

Carly Cristman, Carly Cristman
Carly’s dress is perfect for summer and a breeze to style! Dressed up, or down, a striped summer dress should be a staple in your wardrobe.

Jamara Cuera, The Loud Couture
Jarmara’s trendy crop top is the summer top of my dreams! Jamara nailed this look by pairing her top with high-waisted denim and showing a peek of skin for a subtly sexy summer look.

Caila Quinn, With Love, Caila
We all love a good matching set, and Caila’s has plenty of both style and personality.

Kenza Zouiten, Kenzas
Kenza’s outfit screams summer getaway! Her wide-leg striped pants are perfect to remix all throughout summer.

Taylor Morgan, Little Blonde Book
Taylor completed her pink summer look with a feminine striped skirt.

The sheer trend isn’t new. It’s been around for years, but as we’re in the midst of one of the hottest summers in years, sheer pieces are in the spotlight now more than ever. From minor detailing to more daring looks with fully sheer tops and dresses, take a look at some of the ways our favorite fashion girls are styling sheer pieces to create modern, trendy looks.

Chloe Miles, Chloe Helen Miles
A  lacy, sheer top juxtaposed with denim creates the perfect pairing.

Grasie Mercedes, Style Me Grasie
Two trends in one, Grasie wows with a sheer floral applique top paired with denim and sneakers.

Brittany Xavier, Thrifts and Threads
Do date night right with a romantic, sheer blouse like Brittany’s.

Taylor Gardner, Dallas Style Blog
I never knew how to style all the sheer dresses I’ve found and fallen in love with. Thanks to blogger and street style inspiration, I am living for a sheer dress styled over denim jeans or, more daringly, high-waist briefs.

Viktoria Dahlberg, @victoria.dahlberg
For a dramatic nighttime look, try wearing a bodysuit or high-waist briefs under a sheer, lacy dress.

Ellena Galant, Galant Girl
These sheer culottes may just be the pants of my dreams!

Geri Hirsch, Because I’m Addicted
Geri managed to find the perfect sheer skirt to remix all throughout summer. It can also be taken into the cooler months by pairing it with a sweater and boots, as she shows in this outfit.

Leandra Medine, Man Repeller
From the pool to dinner, Leandra’s sheer-dress-over-cutoffs outfit is perfect for an all day summer outing.

As the temperatures start to rise, it’s only natural to hit the beach for some vitamin D and relaxation. Whether you plan on reading by the water or going for a bike ride along the boardwalk, here are a few trendy cover-up options you can wear for any beach occasion.

Any of these outfits is summer-approved and fail-proof for the beach:

Transition from beach day to bonfire with a lightweight sweater. A sweater worn over swimsuit bottoms—as done here—is the perfect look for cozying up next to a bonfire.

A pair of high-waisted shorts is a closet staple for summer. Want to show off your new bathing suit top? Switch out the usual crop top piece for a tankini or bralette bathing suit top.

Without a doubt, a pretty patterned dress is always a go-to option for the beach. They’re easy to take on and off if you need to tan or jump into the water (I’m always tempted to do the latter!).

Nail perfect beach style by throwing on a romper over your bathing suit. The one-piece won’t take up much room in your bag, making it perfect for when you’re on-the-go.

A two-piece separate outfit has everything you need to feel beach-time ready. Top off your outfit with a round handle or straw bag that can hold all of your beach essentials.

Take a style cue from Annabelle Fleur and wear a dress with a plunging neckline to show off a peek of your bathing suit without going overboard.

I don’t know about you, but I can’t afford to have a wardrobe reserved for every season (which is yet another reason I love being able to save money shopping recycled fashion at Crossroads!). I mix and match almost my entire wardrobe throughout the year, save for heavier winter pieces.

Having a limited wardrobe shouldn’t restrict your outfit choices; it just requires a little creativity. Wearing winter pieces into the hot summer months can be a bit tricky, so I’ve rounded up a few very simple ways that will keep you cool and stylish.

Button-Down Shirts

Button-down shirts are a classic staple throughout the year, but they can admittedly feel a bit heavy as temperatures rise. Simply rolling up the sleeves, investing in a short-sleeved button-down, tying the ends at your waist, or leaving a couple extra buttons undone will create a look that is both functionally and aesthetically cool.

Scarves and Bandanas

While you can get away with wearing a silky scarf or bandana around your neck on cooler summer days, if your temps are reaching the triple digits, they are better used to keep your hair off your neck.

Booties

I wear booties all year round, but once the temperatures rise, I stay away from pairing them with denim or pants. Overheating is no way to enjoy the summer! Balance the femininity of your summer dresses with your winter booties.

Lightweight Layering Pieces

Your lightweight long sleeves aren’t just for layering under sweaters during the winter; wear them under silky dresses and camisoles during the cooler summer months.

Sweaters and Cardigans

I am a total ‘90s girl at heart; I’ve been tying shirts around my waist for two decades and don’t see an end in sight. Something about that added layer adds an instant “cool factor” to your outfit. Tie your lightweight sweaters and cardigans around your waist to cinch in a shapeless dress or top, or simply to add an accessory piece to your outfit.

Classy and timeless, button-ups are a closet staple in many women’s wardrobes, and they’re here to stay. Read on to learn how to effortlessly pull off wearing a button-up this summer!

Curate the perfect outfits with these style tips:

Tuck your button-up top into a midi skirt for an easy look with balanced proportions.

Fashion blogger Andreea Birsan of Couture Zilla perfectly styled her button-up with a flowy slit dress. While the dress could easily turn heads on its own, the button-up gives this outfit an extra ounce of flair.

This blue and white striped corporate staple doesn’t have to be reserved for the office. Wear these banker stripes over black skinny jeans, toss on a small crossbody bag, and you’re good to go!

It’s amazing how knotting the front of a top can instantly change an outfit’s aesthetic. This outfit is perfect for wearing at the beach or lounging around a pool!

Channel your inner fashionista with an oversized, loose-fitting top to achieve that nonchalant “I woke up like this” type of style.

This button-up is doing the most, and we’re not complaining one bit; shoulder cut-outs, ruffles and rolled-up sleeves are always a hit!

While it isn’t exactly reinventing the wheel, there are so many refreshing ways to elevate and style a white t-shirt. Let’s go back to basics by incorporating this simple, versatile piece into your wardrobe this summer!

Achieve on-trend minimalist style with these tips:

Getting ready to run some errands for the day? Throw a comfy pair of overalls over your white t-shirt for a quick, laid-back look.

A white tee outfit doesn’t require much to be fashion-forward and trendy, and it’s easy to transform your look with different pieces.  Add a lady-like touch to your look by pairing your white tee with a slit skirt.

Even a basic white tee can be on-point with the addition of a leather mini skirt.

Go classic! Style a plain white tee with a pair of girlfriend jeans and bright booties.

Tuck your shirt into an A-line denim skirt and pull together the look with an eye-catching pair of sandals.

Elevate the look of your white shirt with a chic pair of heels and some light textured outerwear.

The Fourth of July is always a great reason to spend time with your loved ones and celebrate your love for good ole ‘Merica. Whether you’re heading to a barbecue or beach bonfire or camping out for fireworks, there’s an outfit for every occasion on Independence Day. Up your July 4th style game with a few outfit ideas from your favorite fashion bloggers. With these six easy outfit ideas, you’ll be looking patriotic in no time:

Select a monochrome outfit (in red, white or blue, obviously) that’s perfect for rocking at a barbecue or picnic.

Here’s an outfit that will take a few more pieces to pull off. Style nautical stripes with white outerwear and blue and red accents.

There’s no better way to make a statement on the 4th of July than with a stars-and-stripes bodycon suit that does all the talking. This ensemble works great for celebrating at the beach, so don’t forget to layer on the sunblock!

If you want a similar casual look for the holiday, try starting with a classic patriotic graphic tee, a pair of jeans and white sneakers. It’s comfy and cute—perfect for a barbecue and fireworks.

Red and white stripes are always a go-to pick for celebrating the 4th of July. Steal a page from The Golden Diamonds’s style playbook and pair a crop top with a striped midi skirt. Finish off this look with a star-patterned bag.

Is this not the cutest striped jumpsuit for celebrating the holiday? The best part is that this outfit doesn’t have to be worn exclusively for the 4th of July.
