The New Year is finally here! It may be a time to start afresh, but what do you say this year we skip the resolutions? Most people around the world make them, but more than half barely make it past the first month. Only about 10 percent of people who make New Year’s resolutions make it to day-365. With such discouraging stats, the representatives at our luxury bus service in Long Island have come up with an alternative approach. Instead of making New Year’s resolutions, why don’t we just commit ourselves to live better and fully applying ourselves in everything that we do?

This entails a lifestyle change, a complete overhaul in all aspects, a consistently ongoing process; not just an impulsive goal formulated on the first day of the year. We suggest that we come up with an ethos that pushes us towards action every single day; a code that we can live by and apply in every facet of our lives. Here are the factors that will transform you into a person of action this year and ultimately enable you to reach your goals in a fluid and organic manner.

Morning Ritual

Our mornings set the pace for how the rest of our day will go. Begin your year by setting up a morning routine that you follow as soon as you wake up. Human beings tend to be more consistent with doing things they are used to do – this is called habit. Sticking to a strict morning routine will instill discipline in you, a discipline that you will carry with you in all other activities throughout the day. Further, a healthy, organized morning routine will give you the opportunity to visualize how you intend the day to go and, in this projection, you will find the energy and courage to go out and bend the world to your will, controlling the day rather than being controlled by it. Do this relentlessly and you will be surprised at the progress you have made in a week, a month, and, ultimately, a year.

Stop Hurting Yourself

Remind yourself that every time you let yourself down and fail to act as you truly think and feel, you hurt yourself and lower your self-esteem, minimizing your prospects for success. Your subconscious sees everything and, whatever you spend your days doing dictates to it what kind of person you are. Do the things you truly want to do; hit the gym, diet, commit to efficiency, spend time with your loved ones, etc. and you will end up feeling more motivated to go for all your other goals. In contrast, if you get lazy, negative, mean etc. you will end up feeling like a failure and eventually give up on your goals. There is no escape from ourselves, there is no lying to ourselves. We are our own best councils, so listen and do as you truly feel/think and you will be surprised at just how much progress you have made at the end of the year.

Reminders

Human beings need to be reminded more than they need to be taught. Therefore, write down all the things you need to do and place reminders around your house or workplace. This could be in the form of sticky notes, notes on your phone, on a whiteboard, on your computer screen saver, etc. Constantly, seeing your goals will keep them fresh in your mind and keep you working towards them day in, day out.

Starting the new year with a positive attitude will make a difference. For more than 25 years, Coachman Luxury Transport has been making a difference in Long Island’s ground transportation history by providing the highest level of luxury, safety, and customer safety. We are all about you and your experience and when you need the most reliable Long Island limo service, we are here to meet and exceed even your highest expectations.

It’s cold outside and, we will admit it, our first instinct is to stay cooped up in the warm comfort of our houses. But no, the holiday season can’t just pass us by because we are scared to open the door and find out what the world has to offer besides the frigid temperatures. Our luxury bus service in Long Island has therefore decided to come up with a list of some of the best places to visit during the winter season and we hope they go a long way in adding some life into this seemingly gloomy season.

Before we get into it, we would like to recommend employing the services of a concierge car service for your ground transportation needs this winter. A reputable car services like our Long Island ground transportation service will not only alleviate the hassle of driving and navigating heavy holiday traffic but will enable you to fully enjoy the company of your friends and family in a luxury vehicle with the comfort of knowing that you are in safe hands. A professionally trained and experienced chauffeur will be behind the wheel ready to transfer you safely and promptly to any destination of your choice no matter the traffic, distance, or condition of roads.

Here are a few destinations you can consider exploring this season.

Mexico

Just south of the union’s border, Mexico is the perfect destination for a December getaway. Here, you will find warm Pacific beaches where you can enjoy swimming/scuba diving and amazing landscapes that are always tropical green at this time of year. Head over to Mexico City for its architectural wonders and bustling food scene. Note, however, this is a deeply religious country and the Christmas period is taken quite seriously so avoid visiting on the Christmas Day, or any other religious holiday for that matter, when most establishments are likely to closed.

Caribbean

Not a lot of people travel abroad between Thanksgiving and New Year’s. In this time, most people are settled in somewhere with their families, and you know what that means. It’s the perfect time to travel and take advantage of the off peak-season rates. Head over to the Caribbean and enjoy massive discounts, upgrades, and a chance to enjoy the Caribbean and its islands, uninterrupted by masses of tourists typical to the islands.

Thessaloniki

This is Greece’s second-largest city and it is a fascinating combination of Roman, Greek, Byzantine, Jewish, and Ottoman heritage. During the holidays, the streets of Thessaloniki come alive with colorful lights and festive decorations. Here you will get to split your time between luxury hotels, holiday shopping, sightseeing, cozy cafes, and hot beverages.

Banff

Located in Alberta, Canada, Banff is a mountainous landscape that is popular throughout the year. During winter, however, this humble township offers exceptional opportunities besides its picturesque snowy views. You will get to enjoy activities such as mountain climbing, cycling, skiing, and much more.

If you had the opportunity to travel anywhere in the world, where would you go? This is a question our New York charter service has been pondering over, especially now that the year is coming to an end. Where do you want your 2019 adventures to lead you? Well, if you can’t think of anything right now, then we have got you covered; we have compiled a short list of some exciting and exotic cities around the world for you to consider.
We, however, recommend employing the services of a concierge car service such as our luxury bus service in Long Island. One of the most stressful aspects of travel has to be driving and navigating, especially when you are in a new city/town. With a concierge car service handling all your ground transportation, however, all you have to do is sit back, relax, and enjoy a luxurious ride as a trained professional handle all the driving and transfers you safely and expediently to any destination of your choice. Now, without further ado, the following are some of the best places to travel in the coming year. Enjoy!

The Adirondacks
They say charity begins at home and, as such, it is only natural that we should begin with a local destination. These mountain ranges have attracted travelers since time-immemorial, with their 46 peaks, clear lakes, and unbelievably fresh air. We recommend visiting the Hotel Saranac while you are here; the hotel was built in 1927 and was just recently renovated to give it a more modern touch. You could also try ‘The Point’, a snug resort hidden in the woods where the Rockefeller family’s ‘great camp’ once stood.

Fanjingshan, China
Otherwise known as Mount Fanjing, Fanjingshan is located in Guizhou province and is the highest peak of Southwestern China’s Wuling Mountains. Here you will literally get to climb through a sea of clouds. You will also get to see an ancient Buddhist site of 48 temples on the mountain and witness bizarre rock formations. The steepest climb is to the Red Clouds Golden Summit, which is 7,664-foot high. We recommend taking the hike for an up-close experience of Fanjingshan’s beauty and wildlife, but if you are not up for a hike you could choose to ride the summit cable car.

Armenia
Armenians recently acquired a new, more liberal leadership and one of the effects have been that the country has become more accommodating to travelers. The capital, Yerevan recently opened its first luxury hotel, The Alexander, and several restaurants are popping up around the capital, giving visitors a chance to truly experience the country’s ancient cuisine. Armenia has always had an incredibly beautiful countryside and 2019 may be the perfect time for you to explore it. We recommend taking the Transcaucasian Trail which passes through the town of Dilijan, two 10th-century monasteries, and the bucolic Dilijan National Park.

We are sure that you already have a few of the items we are going to list here somewhere in your garage or stashed away in your house, but they belong in your vehicles, especially during this time of the year. Winter is a beautiful season, but it can also be quite treacherous. Nobody wants to anticipate the worst, but if you happen to experience some car troubles during this season, there are a few essentials that the specialists at our luxury bus service in Long Island find would come in handy.

Before you start preparing this survival kit, we would like to save you any potential inconveniences this winter by recommending the services of our New York charter bus service. Our reliable and trusted chauffeurs have been professionally trained to drive under any conditions and our vehicles are regularly maintained and equipped to ensure optimal functionality at all times. Let us handle all the driving and navigation and transfer you and your companions safely to any location of your choosing during this season as you simply sit back, relax, enjoy the luxury amenities of our vehicles, and ease your mind knowing that a professional is behind the wheel.

Nonetheless, the following are a few essential items you should have in your vehicle during winter.

Cell Phone Charger

Your cell phone can quickly get you out of sticky situations, but only if the battery is charged. So invest in a high-quality cell phone car charger and ensure that your phone stays charged every time you leave the house. This way, in case you find yourself stuck in the snow you will be able to immediately contact emergency services and inform them of your whereabouts.

Jumper Cables

Never assume that other motorists will have jumper cables that you can borrow; always carry your own. Jumper cables are affordable and could save you the cost of having to summon a tow truck in case your vehicle fails to start. With one of the best jump starter cable, all you will need is to find a helpful motorist and you’re set to go. Tip: don’t forget to learn how to properly jump start a vehicle, otherwise bringing the cables would be an exercise in futility, right?

Flashlight

Always keep a flashlight in your vehicle and make sure the batteries are charged. Flashlights will make tasks like changing a tire or checking under the hood possible even in the darkest of places. They also come in handy when you need to flag down other motorists for assistance or helping a tow truck that pinpoint your location.

Air Compressor

A high-quality portable compressor is powered by your vehicle’s 12v outlet, doesn’t take up a lot of space and, more importantly, will come in handy when you have a flat tire with no spare tires left. Tire pressure-related issues are extremely common, even in the friendliest of seasons, so this is a tool you should keep in your vehicle even after the passing of winter.

For avid travelers, anticipating a trip is just as exciting as taking the actual trip, wouldn’t you agree? You are looking forward to all the amazing places you are going to see, all the interesting people you will meet, and all the memories you will make. But as much as trips always seem perfect in foresight and hindsight, we all know that not everything works out exactly as we had planned it during the actual trip, and this can be quite disorienting at the moment. Having been in the travel business for several years now, our New York charter bus specialists understand this all too well and our mission in this post is to share a few tips on how to deal with stress while traveling. We hope these go a long way in making your subsequent business trips as smooth as possible.

First, consider employing the services of a concierge car service for all your transportation needs on your trip. Trying to navigating unfamiliar territory can be one of the most stressful aspects of travel, even when you are using applications like google maps. With a concierge car service like our Long Island Ground transportation service, you are guaranteed a comfortable, hassle-free ride to any location of your choosing. A reputable car service will handle all the logistics and make sure that you are exactly where you need to be when you need to be there. All you have to do is relax, enjoy the company of your friends/family, and you will be at your destination before you know it.

The following are a few more tips on how to deal with stress on your next trip.

Stop Procrastinating

Some of the greatest stresses we experience in life are self-inflicted, and this is no different when we are traveling. We avoid making a checklist of all the items we want to carry until the last minute and, as a result, we may realize that we forgot something important when it’s too late. We put off doing our research on potential accommodations at our destination and we end up in a place with poor services and amenities. Stop putting things off and take your time to plan out the trip, start planning a month ahead, just to ensure that all the essential and foreseeable factors have been adequately catered for.

Pick a Non-Peak Season

Most people travel on a seasonal basis, perhaps it’s because all our work and school schedules are mostly governed by the seasons and major holidays. Traveling during the holidays, however, brings with it a lot of challenges; prices are high, hotels and airports are crowded, and traffic is a nightmare. Plan your trip for a non-peak season when TSA lines are shorter, air travel is cheaper, and accommodations are less crowded. This will result in a less hectic travel experience.

Bring a Book

Various studies have found that reading actually decreases stress. Reading enables you to momentarily escape life’s stressors by immersing yourself in a totally different, literary world. In fact, according to a study conducted by the University of Sussex in 2009, reading reduces a person’s stress by up to 68%. So bring your favorite book along for your next trip and use it as an escape when a thing becomes overwhelming.

Traveling can be a lot of fun; you get to see new places, experience new cultures, and meet lots of interesting people. But, as we are sure you can agree, the airport part of traveling is hectic, especially during the holidays and weekends. Our Long Island limo service specialists understand this all too well and, as such, we have decided to come up with a list of useful airport tips to make all your subsequent airport experiences much less stressful.

To begin with, we would like to recommend employing our Long Island ground transportation services for all your airport transportation needs. The journey to or from the airport can be quite stressful, especially when you are running late or when you find yourself stuck in traffic. Our experienced chauffeurs will consider all factors including traffic, weather, road conditions, day of the week, time of year, and the shortest/fastest/safest routes to the airport, which will allow them to pick you up from your residence at the appropriate time and expediently transfer you to the airport, leaving you with time to spare. With our trained professionals behind the wheel, all you have to do is relax, enjoy our luxury amenities, psych yourself for the impending journey, and you will be at the airport before you know it.

The following are a few more helpful tips on how to make your airport experiences hassle-free.

Pick the Right Day

When you are planning to go to the airport, it is important to think about the day you are choosing. Not a lot of people know this but, airports are busy on Monday mornings, Thursday evenings, and almost every day during the holidays. The rest of the days are the perfect days for airport travel; both human and vehicle traffic are at a minimal and the queues tend to be shorter. However, if you cannot avoid these days, ensure that you give yourself plenty of time to get to the airport and to go through security and boarding to avoid doing that panic-stricken dash a lot of us are familiar with.

Mark Luggage

Anyone who has ever stood at baggage claim for a few minutes has noticed how similar most of the luggage looks. Chances are, someone has the same exact suitcase/bag you have, perhaps even several people. A lot of travelers even confuse their luggage for other persons’, so to help you quickly identify your belongings and make the baggage claim process much smoother, mark your luggage with a name tag. You could even go as far as attaching brightly colored ribbons to help you identify all your luggage from a distance.

Check-In Online

Queueing for long periods of time is not uncommon at the airport and, which is one of the most frustrating aspects of the airport experience. To be able to save yourself some of this pain, most airlines allow you to check-in online, which helps you greatly reduce the amount of time you would have spent waiting in line at the airport, making the entire experience a lot less stressful.

At Coachman Luxury Transport, you are always our top priority. We strive to provide you with the best possible customer service in the industry.

Thanksgiving is undoubtedly one of the best seasons. For our charter bus rental service in New York specialists, it is the unofficial kick off to yet another beautiful and thrilling holiday season, and an amazing holiday itself. It is also a holiday riddled with exciting events, not just on the official day, which is the 22nd of November this year, but throughout the duration of that week. If you are searching for some great Thanksgiving events and activities in the Big Apple, then you have come to the right place; we have compiled what we consider to be the most exciting events scheduled for the Thanksgiving period in New York.

But before we proceed to the actual events, we would like to recommend employing the services of our New York charter bus service for all your transportation needs. Thanksgiving Day is a time to spend quality time with family and friends, make memories, and bond over everything you have to be grateful for. Let our professionally trained and hospitable chauffeurs therefore take the wheel and handle all the driving and navigation for you as you simply focus on enjoying the company of your loved ones and looking forward to any one of these amazing New York events.

The Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade

Thanksgiving in New York is synonymous to the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. The parade will take place on the 22nd of November and will kick off at 9 am. You could enjoy the parade from the comfort of your home on television, but actually being there in person is an entirely different experience. You will be thrilled by the marching bands, the magnificent floats, vibrant dance troupes, helium balloons, and celebrity guest appearances. The parade is set to start at Central Park West and trace Central Park in a 2.5-mile path that finds its way at 6th Avenue before ending up at 34th Street, where Macy’s has its flagship department store. The best views are on a first come, first served basis, so plan to arrive early if you want a front-row spot.

Black Friday Deals

The holiday season is undeniably upon us and, as is tradition, you probably plan on purchasing a few gifts for your loved ones. If so, this may be the perfect time to purchase those gifts; get the best offers at various retail outlets around the city during the Black Friday flash sale that is quite frankly, jaw-dropping. Plan to tour the city on the 23rd of November, brave the masses that will have flooded your favorite retail outlets, and enjoy the best prices on all items. Most stores extend their offers throughout the weekend but missing the actual Black Friday could mean that most items will have sold out, so capitalize on the day itself just to be safe.

Unicornicopia

Head over to the House of Yes along Wyckoff Avenue in Brooklyn on the 23rd of November and enjoy an exciting night of song and dance. Dress up as a unicorn and mingle with other mystical creatures from 10 pm till late. You will get to enjoy music from acts such as Whitney Fierce and Icarus throughout the night. Tickets to this musical event go for only $30 per head.

Are you currently planning a road trip? You probably have the budget and transportation arrangements down already, right? But you may be forgetting one thing: travel applications. Applications are often considered unnecessary by travelers, but with the right travel apps your road trip will be a breeze. Our experienced luxury bus service in Long Island has therefore taken the initiative to compile a list of applications that will come in exceptionally handy during your impending road trip.

You may also want to consider employing the services of our New York charter bus service for all your transportation needs during your road trip. Road trips are a time for bonding and reconnecting with loved ones but a lot of that time is lost in driving and navigating. Let our professional and experienced chauffeurs alleviate that burden from you; take the time to enjoy the company of your friends/family and to enjoy the luxuries of our deluxe vehicles with the comfort of knowing that a trained professional is behind the wheel.

In any case, the following are four of the most helpful road trips apps and websites.

GasBuddy

Of course, fuel is a factor when it comes to road trips and when it’s time to refuel, you will appreciate the fact that you have GasBuddy at the palm of your hand. GasBuddy doubles up as a website and assists you in finding gas by price and location. If cruising a little further down the road to an alternative gas station will save you a couple of bucks, this app will let you know. The best thing about GasBuddy is the fact that it is not only available in Android and IOS, but also on Windows and Blackberry as well.

Gogobot

Gogobot is more of a social application that will help you find places to eat, stay, or have fun. Gogobot uses information shared by users such as ratings and reviews while simultaneously categorizing venues based on different interests including local, family, food, budget, outdoor, adventure, etc. Gogobot will therefore enable you to identify and explore a place ahead of time. Additionally, photographs uploaded by users give you a visual feel of what exactly to expect once you are at your destination.

Roadtrippers

Roadtrippers allows you to input your current location, final destination, date of travel, and your interest. The app then maps out a route for you to follow indicating all possible points of interest you will find along the way. Roadtrippers offers you possible attractions such as museums, restaurants, camp sites, amusement parks, and much more depending on the information submitted.

Waze

The Waze app, like Gogobot, is community-driven; the app offers you information including accidents, police speed traps, potholes, and traffic. While applications like Google Maps will give you information concerning major road issues, Gogobot offers you real-time information because it sources information directly from other road users.
