My name is Chinyere Adogu but you guys can call me Chi. I’m a beauty queen, model, host, blogger, traveler and philanthropist. And yeah, I know, that’s quite a lot of titles but I’m firm believer that life is meant to be lived! I am here to live my own life, and live it passionately. C
Spring is the season for blooming and I’ve been patiently waiting for Cherry Blossoms to bloom at The Brooklyn Botanical Gardens. At one point I was almost certain Spring wasn’t going to come this year because the weather has been giving us L’s after L’s. But at last, May proved me wrong with our first 80 degree weather day in NYC. If you haven’t made it to Brooklyn Botanical Gardens, now is the time to go. The flowers are the most gorgeous this time of the year!
All my images were taken with my new Google Pixel 2, which I absolutely love! The photo quality is out of this world! All the details on my outfit are below!
Top: Anne Fontaine specializes in giving the classic white button up a new twist. I fell in love with the sleeves of this top and how the placement of the zipper snatched my waist in all the right areas! You can check out all their white top at www.AnneFontaine.com. Link directly to my top is here.
I’m so ready for spring to roll around, I honestly find myself daydreaming about hotter weather while walking down the streets, hands in gloves, scarf around my neck, earmuffs on my ears and my bearpaw fur boots.
As of lately, we been teased with spring like days that don’t last forever but gives us hope, spring is en route. So imagine my surprise when I came across this beautiful flower bombed car in soho. And the best part about it is, the flower bombed car is in honor or me, and every other woman walking this earth.
To elaborate, for International Women’s Day, Intermix, a dope a** clothing brand, is celebrating all things fierce and femme by creating this beautiful, insta-worthy, floral installation inspired by their 2018 look book.

Louis Vuitton just made the holiday season in New York a lot more enjoyable by giving us “VOLEZ, VOGUEZ, VOYAGEZ – LOUIS VUITTON”, an exhibition about the House of Louis Vuitton. Curated by Olivier Saillard, the exhibition retraces the adventure of the House of Louis Vuitton from 1854 to the present. Whether or not you are into fashion or designer goods, I personally believe anybody can enjoy this exhibition. Its a definite change from the usual ice skating and tree lighting activities of the season, even though it doesn’t scream Merry Christmas, it’s still an opportunity to come together with family and friends and just have a good time. The best part about it, is that it’s free! So grab your girl friends, have a date night or just go by yourself, either way you’ve got until January 7, 2018 until it closes. You can RSVP tickets here.

Its officially the most wonderful time of the year! Also known as Christmas which is a world wide turn up for baby Jesus’s birthday. It’s also an excuse for me to consume a gallon of eggnog a day without feeling guilty because I have a valid reason. Which is that I’m pre-gaming for Jesus’s birthday.
For as long as I can remember, red and green have always been the colors of the holiday season. But this year red has been the color trending since the end of summer. I’ve been seeing some amazing monochromatic red looks and decided to try my hand at an all red look. Which turned out to be FIRE! #RingTheAlarm

I truly feel Brooklyn is the best place to live in New York. You honestly get the best of everything in Brooklyn, its like a melting pot of all the other boroughs. And, yes I’ve had people come and say that they beg to differ but 9 times out of 10 they don’t live in Brooklyn, so they don’t see the glory of it all. With all that being said I love a good Sunday, out and about in Brooklyn, spending the day with family and/ or friends and taking in the good weather while its still here. On this particular Sunday, in Williamsburg, I came across this wall that was the perfect shade of blue so of course it made sense to do a small photo shoot here of my Sunday’s Best!
It’s that time of the year when all the fashionable people migrant to New York. In other words it’s New York Fashion Week! Here’s a recap of how my #NYFW went. I didn’t take on the whole week, just 5 days but that was more than enough for me! Enjoy!
I decided to dress uber chilled just to get my fashion senses tingling. During fashion week you see a lot going on and it can feel overwhelming so for me personally I slowly creeped into my slayage looks by starting off chilled and comfy. This monochrome look was cute and chic.

Day 2 was pretty much me smothered in pink! I’m aware red has been dubbed the “power color” of the season but I am and will always be loyal to pink! I actually thought this outfit out in my head like three days in advance but had no idea it would look so much better put together than in my head. The skirt is an old buy from H&M years ago and the sweater is a current buy from H&M so I guess that explains why the pinks matched perfectly.
Glasses : You can find these on the streets of NYC
My first show of the day was Runa Ray SS18 for noon!
Next up was Custo Barcelona! It was a 7 minute walk to that show but it honestly felt like 30 minutes but realistically took me about 15 minutes walking in heels on cobalt stone roads right under the sun in a pretty thick sweater. One of the few fashion week struggles they don’t mention to you!
Fun Fact : Custo Barcelona, was the first ever show I went to at my first ever NYFW years ago when fashion week was at the Lincoln Center and under partnership with Mercedes Benz.
Last show of the day was Macduggal. I’m a pageant girl, a fact about me you should know, so attending Macduggal is always exciting for me. I’m looking at the dresses from the perspective of someone who is going to actually purchase it, a potential client and not just a spectator.
Today marks the start of NYFW so if you’ve got plans to roll out of bed, throw on some sweat pants and head out the door, this may not be the week to do that. The streets are going to be crawling with fashion icons, celebs, up and coming designers, fashion lovers, photographers and street style slayage. Fashion week pretty much gives you a heads up on trends that are coming out or are already popular.
In this Champagne Chic Slayage, I’m rocking the satin, almost pajamas like set trend and some metallic mules. Metallic footwear is currently trending for the fall. If you throw on all black and some metallic shoes/ boots, it’ll honestly look like you made an effort. That’s one of the perks of having footwear that pops. Even though my handbag and duffel bag cost a pretty penny, my shoes were $15, that’s the same price as getting lunch from Chipotle, and I’m the type of person to substitute lunch for some shoes! #WorkingOnMyPriorities
Oh & did you peep my wooden watch? Dope right. I don’t own much watches but this wooden watch caught my attention because its different and a conversation starter. The watch is from JORD and you can check out more here.
Women in black lead colorful lives. – Neiman Marcus
I’m the self proclaimed leader of #TeamPink but there is something about an all black outfit that is simply timeless. I tend to feel more confident, sexy, fierce, feminine in #AllBlackEverything and my walk pass you game is stronger than ever.
So I’ve been eyeing these pants when I first saw them and they were going for $60. I liked the pant, didn’t like the price. On one of my many window shopping days, I strolled through that same store and headed to the sale rack and saw that those same shiny pants were officially on sale for $20! What a great way to end my day.
I feel these overly shiny pants are going to be a thing this fall just because I’ve been seeing a lot store coming out with their kind. I had bought something similar to these pants about a year ago, they were leggings, they were $7 and they were from Asos. They immediately ripped as I was trying it on. Thankfully they were $7 and not $60 cause I probably wouldn’t have laughed the way I did.
You almost never see me in shorts because shorts don’t necessarily flatter my small frame but I was lucky enough to find the perfect daisy dukes for myself at The Fashion Foundation. The Fashion Foundation is a non profit organization that sells designer clothing and donated clothing for a fraction of the price. The best part is that the money received from sells goes towards school supplies for students in need. With back to school right around the corner, I highly encourage, anyone looking for new pieces in their wardrobe to check them out! Your next purchase can actually give a kid a book or computer for school and thats just as dope as a new outfit. For more information on The Fashion Foundation and ways to get involved click here. Details on this look below!
Hair tip : When I’m in between hair styles you’ll see me rocking head wraps and hats on the daily, its a quick fix!
If I was a farmer, I’d be working the fields just like this! Lol
I fell in love with the cutest overalls ever from H&M. Funny story about these overalls is that I wore them to a friend’s church picnic this summer and while I thought I was the cutest thing ever, all the elders where giving me the side eye because of the length of the overalls. I didn’t necessarily think they were short, its just that my legs are long so they tend to make outfits look short. These are the type of overalls that are cute and comfy, they don’t ride up in my lady zone or leave my booty hanging out. It’s literally the perfect fit for someone of my frame, which is great because I have a hard time finding rompers and jumpsuits that flatter my figure. Any who, at the picnic, we played musical chairs, I was declared the winner after going thru thirteen people. I won a $25 gift card. And that $25 went to food! Click here for some avocado glory if you’re curious to know what kind of food I spend my money on.
