Is God in That Bottle Cap? A Search for Truth by John D. Sambalino

One man’s quest to achieve enlightenment through a life of meditation, spirituality, mindful living, self-inquiry, and martial arts.•True life story demonstrating the many benefits of meditation, based on the author’s 44 years of daily meditation, more than 40 years of yoga and tai chi, and more than 20 years of qigong.•A guidebook to living a life of spirituality.•Written by a follower of the “Classic” spiritual masters: Sri Ramana Maharshi, Paramahansa Yogananda, Sri Nisargadatta Maharaj, Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, Yogi Amrit Desai, and Sri Sri Ravi Shankar.•This book lays out the real-life reasons why you should meditate, and the many benefits you can hope to achieve from your efforts. It does not tell or show you how to meditate. Journey with the author on a life-long quest to uncover the Ultimate Truth, that hidden reality that is the very essence of you and all that surrounds you. To answer the simple question “What’s it all about?” The first part of the book takes you on his more than 40-year journey of discovery, including trips to India, Egypt, and the sacred regions of the Himalayan mountains. Join his meditations at many week and months-long meditation training sessions. Enjoy his storytelling, parables, and adventures in self-discovery. Let his most personal experiences be your inspiration to start your own journey. Proven methods of self-realization and profound revelations are discussed in great (yet non-judgmental) detail as you travel his inspiring road to what the sages term “Enlightenment!”The second part of the book has the author attempting to describe the indescribable, as he shares what he has learned through his lifelong personal spiritual journey. “Enlightenment is the realization of one’s true Self, our true Being. Not our constantly changing body, thoughts, and emotions that we take to be who we are, but rather, the never changing, pure awareness, or consciousness, that lets us say: my body, my thoughts, my emotions.”Happiness, contentment, and tranquil well-being are all parts of what he learned and experienced, leading him to finally pronounce “I’m just this seemingly nutty, crazy guy, who learned not to take anything too seriously, as all is not as it appears!

Rebel Without A Bra: Scotland Has Been Invaded Will It Ever Be The Same Again By Kerrie Noor

Synopsis:

Women Rule, But Has Anyone Told The Men?

Mex is heading for the Edinburgh Festival in search of Legless. Hot on her heels is Beryl a leader who has already dropped Mex in it once and now plans to do so again. Beryl must make contact with Mex before Mex finds Legless; retrieve the spark plug but not Legless, find a way back to Planet Hy Man, without Legless and save her planet. And all before the Edinburgh Festival finishes!

A feat made near impossible when considering her arch-rival Hilda, a woman as ruthless as a politician (and with the same dress sense) has access to every high- tech spying equipment going.

A Rebel Without a Bra is the second in the Planet Hy Man series where every hero is a woman old enough to know better and old enough not to care.

Review:

When the women make the rules and the balance of power begins to shift, the drama begins for Beryl. With her fearless, and take no crap from anyone, attitude she knows there is no one that can compete with her experienced abilities to maintain Planet Hy Man, with such grace and ease. But when the tough and audacious, Mex has plans on her own to be the hero, that’s when all the fun begins! With an unconventional gang of wacky characters to keep the peculiar Planet Hy Man occupied, things get strange and a perplexing plot opens up to an uncharted exciting journey. With a unique glossary of peculiar jargon that is used on the eccentric planet, there is a promising storyline worth the effort for the reader.

Rebel Without A Bra by Kerrie Noor is a hilarious, offbeat and funny sci-fi novel, which was an absolute riot to read! I loved each and every humorous character, with their own silly antics and ticks that really made them stand apart from others. It was an enjoyable and creative story packed with plenty of descriptive and vivid scenarios, with laugh out loud dialogue. The impossible feats done by these women, and the high tech spy equipment will certainly entertain readers to no end. Never a dull moment with Noor’s cast of misfits, who kept me interested and immersed throughout the entire book.

Rebel Without A Bra brings a splendid good time with lively, and amusing locations, and colorful landscapes that never fail to please. Readers of all types will greatly enjoy, Rebel Without A Bra and it’s no holds barred attitude. I would most definitely recommend this humorous, unputdownable, science fiction read – the second book in the Planet Hy Man series, written by the, clever, creative and talented author, Kerrie Noor.

EMPIRE: A Tale of Swords by Stephen Effedua

Synopsis:

After a great mutiny, a once-stable province is left in shambles as different factions fought for power. A band of patriots who were tired of the long depressing chaos took to arms, rallying former soldiers and fighting all the warmongers who were up to no good, but their revolution is met with heavy resistance and eventually destroyed by a sudden coalition of the enemies of progress. With their hope faltering, they make one last decision by recruiting a former hero of the province. This new hero was called Raiden, the Morning Tiger. Raiden rallies men in a desperate attempt to liberate their shattered province and after a costly battle; they came out victorious. Raiden rises to the rank of Emperor in the new Namani Empire. However, the problem that threatened the peace and unity of the former province is far from over. New problems have sprung up, and the Emperor must adopt a Thick Face, but what would his new approach cost him?

Review:

EMPIRE: A Tale of Swords by Stephen Effedua is a tremendous, engaging medieval war drama that is written with a unique expressive style, which holds the reader captive and enthralled throughout the entire story.

The noble and courageous Emperor Raiden was once a young practicing warrior desperately yearning to train up to someday be seasoned enough to go out and seek the revenge his deceased family so painfully deserved. After much battle and bloodshed he goes on to building a significant sized army. Raiden kills every last one of his family’s murderers with a satisfactory sense of emotion, the kind you would have when slaughtering your own sworn enemies.

But despite his success of his family’s grievance, he was still unsatisfied and realizes life is meaningless. No longer will he defend anything ever again. He turns to liquor to numb and temporarily fill the emptiness inside his sad and lonely heart. But one drunken stupor of a night turns into an agreement to join forces with General Barka, a powerful and experienced fighter, changing Raiden’s life, and making it meaningful again. He has many victories, and the turning point is the building of a grand and powerful military force, including passing over the torch to his son Damza, and his reign as Emperor. Connections and alliances are made, along with many battles and wars fought.

From generation to generation this tale empowers all that is a battalion of a vivid anguish. Fierce legions are on the line of compromise, which always kept me on the edge of my seat with every page turn. EMPIRE: A Tale of Swords had a great way of putting the reader in the middle of a commanding scene, giving a sense of being right up front and center of such a tragic and dramatic display of events. I always felt like I was right there for every crazy turn in this grand novel. Each character is important and makes you feel connected to the story, and brings light amidst the cultured theme which is tightly held throughout the book.

I really enjoyed reading EMPIRE: A Tale of Swords and would absolutely suggest it to anyone interested in an accomplished and sophisticated story jam packed with action, adventure and tales of men in combat. The clashing of weapons, and the hostile warfare that dominated and expended upon the lands in waves and seasons, inevitably always returned. Despite the heavy concepts of the plot itself, there were still times in which, author Stephen Effedua gives us a bit of a comic relief. Whether, the characters are intentional or not, I thought the bits of humor were something that was most refreshing, and often left out in this genre, but definitely not the case here. With an impressive historical aesthetic, the reader gets an idea of this vast world which is the story’s large backdrop. I give EMPIRE: A Tale of Swords by Stephen Effedua two thumbs up with a must read recommendation to all readers seeking an all-around amazing book!

Scars Among Us by C S Hunt

Synopsis:

Catherine is a dream come true for her parents. Their first born child is their most precious gift. The love and joy they feel for her is obvious to everyone who knows them. When tragedy unexpectedly hits, Catherine’s world is turned upside down and the course of her life is forever changed. In this heartbreakingly powerful memoir, Catherine goes back to where it all began. Following the tragic death of one of her parents at the age of three, she is sent to live with an Aunt and Uncle. This is where the cycle of her abuse begins. As she makes her way in the world, the sexual violation she endured at the hands of her uncle shapes her and how she sees herself. This is her journey of self-discovery – a reframing of the negative perceptions of who she is and an education in loving and accepting herself, regardless of the scars from her past. When devastating news about the beloved cousin she loves as a brother comes to the surface, the scars of her past are reopened. The memories of the abuse her uncle put her through come rushing back so powerfully that she is not sure she can survive this time. To save herself Catherine must face once and for all the demons of her past. She bravely exposes her complete self in this gut-wrenching journey of healing as she finally faces the torment she had worked so hard to bury. Scars Among Us talks about what many victims are afraid to talk out loud about. There is a taboo of shame deeply woven into the emotions of many victims of rape. This book attempts to diffuse the shame and talk honestly and openly about the matter. The travesty of sexual abuse impacts not only the victim but all who are involved, including their family, and the family of the perpetrators. This is a book about hope, speaking out and normalizing the pain, extinguishing the shame and stigma of sexual abuse once and for all.

Review:

Scars Among Us by C S Hunt is an engaging, heartfelt and gripping memoir about one woman’s struggle to overcome all of the negative effects, and life altering consequences, which she incurred due to being sexually assaulted and abused as a child. C S Hunt, generously, opens her heart and courageously shares about her childhood experiences of the sexual abuse forced upon her, by her very own uncle.

When she was born, her ecstatic parents loved and cherished her very much, and it was evident to all around them. At the tender age of three, Catherine Hunt’s mother unexpectedly passed away. Thus, Catherine is sent to live with her aunt and uncle during the week. This is the time when her tragic story begins. Not only must she process the grief of losing her mother, the love and security of her family and home, but her disgusting, perverse uncle molests her and sexually abuses her, robbing her of her innocence. Because of the multiple, fatal losses, and the abuses she endured, Catherine is traumatized, devastated and lost as a child, and later on as an adult, as well. She is severely scarred, and only a miracle can save her from a lifetime of guilt, shame and the loss of her identity.

In Scars Among Us by C S Hunt, we read about the cycles of self-destruction, which are repeated all the way into adulthood, due to the acts of a heinous pedophile, perpetrated long ago, and the lasting effects it has on the victim of sexual abuse.

In her authentic memoir, C S Hunt graciously brings readers a personal view of her childhood losses, sexual abuse, and the effects it had on her life as a whole, including the impact it had on her family. As she wrestles to relate and connect with others, establish good, lasting relationships, and fights to handle her constant emotional upheavals, she works extremely hard to “appear normal” to those around her and the world.

C S Hunt has been through much turmoil and trauma. Today, she shares with readers of her healing, transformation and her ultimate restoration. She shows readers, and others who are suffering, that through her courage to face the ghosts of her past, and work through her debilitating emotional pain, she went from a place of sadness and despair, to a wonderful, lasting life transformation. From her tragic, yet inspirational story, she now has the strength, ability and voice to help give other victims of abuse and loss, the knowledge, encouragement and support they desperately need to enable them to overcome their past and childhood losses.

Scars Among Us by C S Hunt is a, must read, engaging, gripping account of one woman’s desperate drive to overcome and rise above the cycle of negative, self-destructing actions, that often distinguishes the life of a child who has been sexually abused.

Scars Among Us by C S Hunt is a book filled with dark and haunting events, yet it is so profound, encouraging and powerful. C S Hunt is a fabulous expressive writer. Her descriptions and portrayals of her surroundings, settings and situations had this reader feeling and experiencing the very essence of her life’s journey from the dark ugliness of life, to the illuminated beauty that life truly holds.

Scars Among Us by C S Hunt is an extraordinary biography, which will have readers contemplating life, while being filled with tremendous mixed emotions, and much appreciated encouragement and inspiration. Highly recommended by Chick Lit Café!

Murder She Wrote: Murder in Red by Jon Land

Synopsis:

In the latest entry in this USA Today bestselling series, Jessica loses a loved one to unnatural causes and sets her sights on the mysterious local hospital before more people wind up dead on arrival…

Jessica Fletcher’s favorite gin rummy partner, Mimi Van Dorn, checks into the brand-new Clifton Care Partners, a private hospital that’s just opened up shop in town, for a simple procedure—one that leads tragically, and inexplicably, to her death. Seeking justice in her inimitable fashion, Jessica decides to pursue her own investigation on the hospital and its shadowy business dealings.

On the trail of what initially appears to be medical malpractice, Jessica digs deeper and learns her friend was actually a victim of something far more sinister. Death is bad for business, but murder is even worse, and Jessica will find plenty of both as she races to bring down Clifton Care Partners before someone else flatlines…

Review:

Murder She Wrote: Murder in Red is written by Jon Land and is book number 49 in the Murder She Wrote series. Here we find the inimitable Jessica Fletcher becoming embroiled in mysteries and murders, conspiracies and fraud as the story grasps the reader and hauls them into its pages from the outset. When Jessica’s close friend dies unexpectedly, alarm bells start ringing in Jessica’s mind and she sets out on a mission to find answers to what turns out to be a mystery that continues to astound her (and the reader) until the very end. Unknown relatives, masquerading professionals, illegal activities and callous intentions of the very people who should be trusted are molded into a rip-roaring sleuth investigation that will have the reader on the edge of their seat and wanting more.

Jessica is determined and relentless in her search for the truth, even to the point of putting her own life on the line. She calls on her loyal and steadfast friends in Cabot Cove, lawmen, doctors and retired professionals to help her in her quest, and when a good friend from England is at risk Jessica will stop at nothing to unravel the mystery and bring the perpetrators to account for their actions. Add to this the hint of medical malpractice, strange disappearances, and betrayal of trust, and you have a memorable story that has the reader guessing to the very end.

In Murder in Red there are so many twists and turns in this story the reader is almost breathless and left wondering what will be uncovered on the next page, and it has to be said many of the twists are unforeseen, making this a really enjoyable and exciting read. The characters are so believable one could expect to travel to Cabot Cove and meet them in person. The writing is excellent, giving the reader a visual view of the settings and really bringing the story to life.

The author, Jon Land, has a true gift of not only conceiving a clever storyline and building strong characters but finding the perfect ‘voice’ of Jessica who tells her story in the first person and shares her thoughts and feelings with the reader throughout. Add to all this a little hint of a sense of humor and Murder in Red is just perfect. You won’t be able to stop reading and prepare to be surprised at the very end. Definitely not to be missed.

Chick Lit Café once again highly recommends exemplary author Jon Land, and his newest installment in the Murder She Wrote series, Murder in Red. A must read, 5 star mystery that readers will love and revel in.

Summary:

The best mother on earth!

From the author of the award-winning Snowman Paul series, comes this life-affirming volume which celebrates mothers, Mother Nature and the nurturing instinct we all share. The heartwarming, rhyming text is perfectly matched with gorgeous watercolor illustrations which show the timeless love between a mother and her child. The book honors Mother’s Day while it teaches that everyone on earth is part of one big family..

Join Snowman Paul and Dan in this charming new adventure where they explore the meaning of Mother’s Day and Earth Day and in the process they learn new things about how families and nature work.

Mother’s Day is around the corner.

Review:

Snowman Paul declares to Dan that he has the coolest mother of all. “She holds you when you need a hug/She heals you when you catch a bug/She’s nourished you with love since birth/She is the best mother on earth”. Dan agrees but then he asks Paul: “What about your mother, Paul? Who is your mother?” Snowman Paul’s answer is both wonderful and instructive. Then Paul recounts the day when Dan made him into a snowman, after the big snow storm. Paul adds that he is part of the family of Mother Nature and that we are all a part of the family of Mother Nature. And that there are many mothers of many kinds, and all are important.

Yossi Lapid has hit it out of the park with Mother’s Day with Snowman Paul, a special tribute to mothers everywhere. Dan thinks about how special his own mother is and how she nurtures him by doing several motherly things. This really hit home with me as a mother and grandmother. It will help young children to reflect on how special and important their own mother is-just in time for their own Mother’s Day celebration. It shows children that they should appreciate, love and respect their own mother for who she is and what she does for them.

But awarding winning author, Yossi Lapid, doesn’t stop there. He magically adds in the importance of how we are all connected, like brothers and sisters, by Mother Nature. And how Mother Nature is the mother of all things on our beautiful planet.

The whimsical rhyming, large fonts and simple short sentences makes this book perfect for young children and early readers. It is written in a way that will hold the child’s attention and give them another important and valuable lesson in life. All of Yossi Lapid’s delightful books for children have valuable heartfelt easy to understand themes and lessons to them. His books are charming and enchanting and this one, Mother’s Day with Snowman Paul, is especially compelling and special.

We can’t read a story by Yossi Lapid without recognizing the beautiful fanciful watercolor illustrations by Joanna Pasek which gives the entire book a very special theme with a delightful visionary appeal, that children will and do love.

If you haven’t discovered Yossi Lapid’s children’s books, then now is your chance to get one and read it to your child and find out how enchanting and special they are. Once again I read this book to my own grandchildren and as usual they loved it and had me read it over and over. We are gaining quite a collection of all of Yossi Lapid’s Snowman Paul series books. The children never tire of them. They are unique, heartfelt and essential for children to learn important lessons in life, written in a simple easy to understand style.

Breaking the Barriers: A Girl’s Dream to Play Little League with the Boys by Robbin Miller

During a summer family picnic in 1974, Robbin observes a little league game being played in a nearby baseball field.  Seeing how much fun the game was, and watching the fans cheer for their teams, Robbin asked her dad to teach her to play baseball. As she practiced, over time, Robbin learned that girls were not allowed to play little league baseball with boys. Refusing to give up her dream, Robbin was excited to learn about a famous court case that ruled that same year, that girls were to be allowed to play little league with boys.  The long-standing barrier was finally lifted, and Robbin signed up to play in 1975. A brave and determined Robbin strutted her stuff and showed her community that she could play ball just as well as the boys, on any baseball diamond. Despite encountering jeers, boos, and name-calling from the stands and from the boys, Robbin excelled on the field and played with her head held high for the love of the game.

Review:

Breaking the Barriers: A Girl’s Dream to Play Little League with the Boys by Robbin Miller is an outstanding, inspirational memoir, and true story, that encourages young girls to be courageous, determined and positive in life, and to work hard and never give up when it comes to achieving their dreams and goals, whatever their dreams may be.

Robbin Miller tells her beautiful story of how she dreamed of playing Little League baseball back in the 1970’s, when it was still unthought-of that girls could play along with the boys. As she sat and watched the boys playing a Little League baseball game, she began to dream of playing with them. She asked her dad to teach her to play baseball, and that started the ball rolling to an exciting journey toward her seeing her dream come true. In 1974, the law just passed that allowed girls to play Little League baseball. Despite the harassment’s and jeers from the crowd and boys, Robbin was thrilled and overjoyed when she began to play Little League in 1975. She fully excelled in the sport, and proved herself to be worthy to play alongside the boys. Her dream had come true. The road to breaking the barrier for Robbin to play with the boys in Little League was not easy, but through Robbin’s determination, courage and support of her family, including her brother, Bruce, she made it, and has a wonderful, important message and story to tell.

In Breaking the Barriers, Robbin Miller expressively recounts and shares the struggles and hindrances, which she constantly faced and endured, during her time of playing baseball with the boys, and being one of the first girls to play in her city. She tells of her determination, believing in herself and learning not to listen to the naysayers and negative people. The lessons she learned brought her a lifetime of strength, positive thinking, resilience and good self-esteem. Now, through her memoir and story, she brings wisdom and encouragement to young girls who have the desire to play sports with the boys, and for those that have dreams and goals that seem unreachable. She proves that with courage and persistence, girls can play along with the boys in sports, and in life. Breaking the Barriers is enlightening and brings a great example of gender inequality, and how we must continue to fight against it, in all areas of life.

Breaking the Barriers is an excellent book for young girls ages 8-11 to give them the strength, smartness and ability to reach for their goals and dreams. To achieve things they never thought possible by being brave, steadfast and positive. The history of Little league and baseball during the 1970’s is brought to life in Breaking the Barriers. I could smell the grass and remember myself at the Little League field, eating the chili and candy, as I watched my brothers play ball. I loved baseball, and ended up playing shortstop in the softball leagues. Robbin Miller loved the sport and played well, while outshining many of the boys. Robbin Miller’s story is such an inspiration, motivation and example for girls to follow. They will learn valuable life lessons as they read this simple, yet profound chapter book, filled with beautiful, captivating and exciting illustrations.

Breaking the Barriers: A Girl’s Dream to Play Little League with the Boys by Robbin Miller is a must read, 5 star book, which Chick Lit Cafe highly recommends for all to read.

It’s October 2009 and thirty-five year-old Mia Lewis is an independent woman at the top of her game. Sharp, attractive and the only senior female executive at Atlas Capital, she survived Wall Street during the worst financial crisis in modern history. But a chance encounter with a handsome single dad ignites feelings and a sense of longing that Mia had intentionally buried.

As she begins to consider a new life–one away from the stress and excess of Wall Street–the past comes calling, jeopardizing her whole future.

Review:

Lagging Indicators by Jennifer Anglade Dahlberg is a phenomenal, original story about a strong, confident black woman, Mia, who is committed to her job, and has successfully worked her way to the top at a boutique firm, as an executive. But then, everything comes tumbling down. Humiliated and without money, Mia moves to upstate New York to a cottage that is falling apart. Fear of failure and unemployment plagues her, as she plans an attempt to regain her stature and status. But then, unexpectedly, she runs into an attractive unwed father who kindles, within her heart, new and exciting feelings of yearning and desire. Feeling vulnerable, Mia starts to ponder a new life free of the weight, pressure and excessiveness of Wall Street. However, her past refuses to release her, and threatens her future, while attempting to hinder her from enjoying a peaceful, beautiful and fulfilling life.

Lagging Indicators by Jennifer Anglade Dahlberg is a must read, captivating and compelling story. It is an unusually, authentic romance and mystery story revolving around the world of finance and strong women in the work field, which is normally and dominantly lead by white men. I couldn’t put Lagging Indicators down and turned the pages quickly to find out what would become of Mia, an intelligent, competent woman, not dependent upon a man, and after years of work, achieving success, she loses it all. The reader will wonder why it all came crashing down on her, and be totally engaged and interested to find the answers. Will she be able to reinvent herself after so many unexpected events? This unpredictable, intriguing book will have readers asking many questions as they read on to determine the answers and outcome of Mia and the life she chooses. Strong As Steel (Caitlin Strong Novels) by Jon Land

Synopsis:

Tough-as-nails Texas Ranger Caitlin Strong returns in this electrifying tenth installment of the series, by USA Today bestselling author Jon Land

1994: Texas Ranger Jim Strong investigates a mass murder on a dusty freight train linked to a mysterious, missing cargo for which no record exists.

The Present: His daughter, fifth generation Texas Ranger Caitlin Strong, finds herself on the trail of that same cargo when skeletal remains are found near an excavation site in the Texas desert. She’s also dealing with the aftermath of a massacre that claimed the lives of all the workers at a private intelligence company on her watch.

These two cases are connected by a long buried secret, one that men have killed and died to protect. Caitlin and her outlaw lover Cort Wesley Masters must prove themselves to be as strong as steel to overcome a bloody tide that has been rising for centuries.

Review:

Strong As Steel (Caitlin Strong Novels) by Jon Land tells a story that begins with Texas Ranger Jim Strong, who is consumed by a mystery that has dumbfounded the elite lawmakers from the start. In 1994 a freight train is found abandoned, with dead bodies in abundance and no cargo. The mystery begins as there appears to be no logical explanation for the deaths, there being no outward signs of injury and no evidence to point to the cause of death. Add to that the strange disappearance of a cargo that has no record of its existence, and Jim Strong begins his quest to find the answers.

Twenty-five years later, and Jim Strong’s daughter, Caitlin, finds herself asking the same questions as her father when more mysterious deaths occur that are suspiciously similar. Caitlin has followed in her father’s footsteps and is a Texas Ranger, and she has inherited her father’s determination and dedication to the job. She sets out to unravel the mystery of the elusive containers and to discover their curious contents, whatever they may be. But there are others at work with a similar goal but a different purpose. Enter Molinari, a religious zealot determined to protect the secret of the past using whatever means necessary to accomplish his task.

Then we have a little girl as the ring-bearer at her father’s wedding who witnesses a massacre that molds her life’s journey as she becomes the deadly yet revered Luna Diaz Delgado, determined to rule by fear. Such is the roller coaster of this novel, a reader’s journey of mystery, hatred, deceit and murder, yet interspersed with family loyalty, an enigma from the past, hints of the supernatural, and a man who talks to ghosts.

There is so much in Strong As Steel, the tenth book (no less) in the Caitlin Strong series that it leaves the reader breathless in anticipation and turning the pages with expectation that all will be revealed and then being thwarted as the mystery deepens. Caitlin is all that her name suggests; strong in character and mind, unafraid of the consequences of her actions, still desirous of making her father proud, and yet at times there are glimpses of someone compassionate and controlled.

If the synopsis for Strong As Steel does not capture your imagination, then just open the book and you will be drawn in from the first page. The fact that this is the tenth book in the series is testament to the standard and quality of the writing, the vivid mind of the writer, the strong and well-developed characters, the Individuality of the protagonists, and that’s before even starting on the suspense that is created within the pages, culminating in a satisfying yet surprising ending. This is one of those books that the reader becomes so engrossed in, the end comes reluctantly. Author Jon Land, writes with confidence and credibility and brings these incredible characters to life with ease. Chick Lit Café is proud to recommend Strong As Steel by USA Today best selling author Jon Land, an excellent 5 star read for lovers of mystery, action, suspense and adventure.
