Sunday Scaries Review by Aaron Cadena at CBD Origin

Sunday Scaries are exploding as one of the most trending CBD products this year, but do they actually help fight off of the “Sunday scaries” as their name implies? Read our full Sunday Scaries Review to find out!
Sunday Scaries Review Overview

As Sunday draws to an end, the thought of returning to work, school, or basically, the grind, can lead to a feeling of anxiety and stress. In pop culture, this is commonly referred to as the “Sunday Scaries.

Playfully using the same name, Sunday Scaries is a fast-growing CBD brand that offers a collection of CBD gummies designed to help fight the Sunday Scaries. While Sunday Scaries has become increasingly popular, do their CBD gummies actually help fight the Sunday Scaries?

Find out in our official Sunday Scaries review as we test out Sunday Scaries’ Original CBD Gummies, as well as their vegan option, Vegan AF CBD Gummies.

Sunday Scaries at a Glance

At a glance, Sunday Scaries CBD gummies definitely have a unique appearance.

Both bottles feature boldly designed labels that have a very millennial-focused, yet still professional appeal. After opening each bottle to examine the gummies, it’s easy to see why these have become so popular––they look delicious.

The original Sunday Scaries CBD gummies look like typical gummy bears and the Vegan AF CBD gummies look like sugar-coated gumdrops. Neither of the gummies exhibited any negative visual signs and, actually, looked perfect.

Sunday Scaries CBD Gummies Quality

In general, both gummies are made from the same ingredients; however, Vegan AF CBD gummies are made with vegan gelatin, organic sugar, and organic sunflower oil while the normal gummies are made with gelatin, coconut oil, and pure cane sugar. Both options are infused with helpful nutrients such as vitamins like B12 and D3.

According to their website, Scaries CBD Gummies are made with a full spectrum CBD blend that is extracted from hemp grown organically in Colorado.

When reviewing the lab reports listed on their website at the time of our review, we found the results to be a bit vague. Both Sunday Scaries CBD Gummies and Vegan AF CBD Gummies were analyzed for cannabinoid potency by Infinite Chemical Analysis Labs, an ISO-certified third-party laboratory based out of San Diego, CA, however, neither test clearly defined the sample size that was analyzed.

While the 102.1mg/unit test result would be accurate for a 10 gummy sample size (meaning each gummy has 10mg+ of CBD), we cannot confirm if this was the actual sample size that was tested. Our review has gone great so far, but further clarification is needed here.

Sunday Scaries CBD Gummies Flavor

After our team tried out both of Sunday Scaries CBD gummies, we can confirm that they definitely live up to the hype. From the moment you open the bottle, you’re enticed by the sweet, mouth-watering aroma of the gummies within.

Sunday Scaries CBD Gummies

The original CBD gummies are sweet and chewy like a normal gummy bear and they don’t have a hemp aftertaste at all. Definitely wouldn’t mind taking one of these a day to get my daily CBD intake.

Sunday Scaries Vegan CBD Gummies

Sunday Scaries Vegan CBD gummies were even better. Made with completely vegan ingredients, the texture of the vegan CBD gummies was slightly less chewy and the sour powder coating added a nice kick to the gummies sweet flavor.

Sunday Scaries Price vs Value

Sunday Scaries CBD gummies are sold for $39 each, and their Vegan CBD gummies are sold for $44 each. While Sunday Scaries pricing is already competitive with other CBD gummy brands, Sunday Scaries offers greatly reduced prices when customers purchase 2 or more bottles or sign up for a subscription.

Refer to the table below for Sunday Scaries different pricing options*

1 Bottle 2 Bottles 3 Bottles
Sunday Scaries (one-time) $39.00 $70.00 ($8 off) $99.00 ($18 off)
Sunday Scaries (subscription) $31.00 ($8 off) $55.00 ($23 off) $75.00 ($32 off)
Vegan AF (one-time) $44.00 $72.00 ($16 off) $107.00 ($25 off)
Vegan AF  (subscription) $35.00 ($9 off) $62.00 ($26 off) $86.00 ($46 off)

Sunday Scaries Ratings and Reputation

Founded by co-partners, Mike and Beau, Sunday Scaries practices a no-bs approach and a strong commitment to providing the safest and highest quality products possible. Due to its unique branding approach, Sunday Scaries has become wildly popular with mentions on top publishers including PopSugar, Allure, and Esquire.

Both Sunday Scaries CBD Gummies and Vegan AF CBD Gummies have earned many positive reviews from their customers who praise the products for their deliciousness and effectiveness. At the time of our review, the following ratings were available on Sunday Scaries website:

  • Vegan AF CBD Gummies – 4.87/5.0 (based on 31 reviews)
  • Sunday Scaries CBD Gummies – 4.83/5.0 (based on 113 reviews)

On Facebook, customer ratings were a bit lower at 4.0/5.0; however, many of the lower rated reviews were not recent, and all the recent reviews were very positive.

Are Sunday Scaries CBD Gummies Worth a Try?

After thoroughly reviewing Sunday Scaries CBD Gummies, we can confirm that their CBD gummies definitely live up to the hype. As some of the best tasting and best-priced CBD gummies we’ve tried, these could be your solution to fighting off those horrid Sunday Scaries.

Study Shows CBD May Help to Fight Superbug Infections by Aaron Cadena at CBD Origin

With the threat of antibiotic-resistant bacteria on the rise, scientists are researching what some would consider being an unconventional solution––Cannabidiol (CBD).

In a recent experiment conducted in a controlled environment, Botanix Pharmaceuticals, an Australian biotech research firm, demonstrated that CBD can eliminate gram-negative bacteria, a type of bacteria that has exhibited high resistance to antibiotics.

The lead researcher on the project, Dr. Mark Blaskovich of the University of Queensland, reported that in their studies, CBD had demonstrated safety for human use and believes that the anti-inflammatory properties within CBD could prove to be valuable in the future research of antibiotics.

Insights Revealed by this Research

In their studies, Dr. Blaskovich and his team found that CBD was effective in killing multiple gram-negative bacteria strains including Staphylococcus aureus, Streptococcus pneumoniae, and even MRSA, a staph bacteria highly recognized for its resilience to antibiotics.

In addition, the researchers reported that the bacteria were unable to develop a resistance to CBD, even after twenty-one days of exposure, which is where most antibiotics fall short.

According to the study, CBD had succeeded where almost every other antibiotic had failed because it was able to disrupt the protective layer of the bacteria known as the biofilm.

In a public statement issued earlier this month, Dr. Blaskovich remarked that he looks forward to “presenting this exciting data at the upcoming ASM Microbe conference in San Francisco.”

The Future of CBD Against Superbug Infections

While the findings revealed in this study are very promising, more research will be needed to determine the effectiveness of CBD against gram-negative bacteria outside of a laboratory environment.

If the findings revealed by Dr. Blaskovich’s research team can be repeated and refined outside of a laboratory environment, CBD could be a powerful solution against superbug infections in the future.

Matt Callahan, Executive Director and founder of Botanix said “The implications and potential applications of these remarkable results are immense.” Botanix has commented that they are looking to move to clinical trials later in 2019.

Alabama Legalizes Sale of CBD in Pharmacies by Ryan Tengco at CBD Origin

On June 10th, Alabama Governor Ivey signed State Bill 225 (SB225) into law, which will now allow Alabama pharmacies to sell Cannabidiol (CBD) products with less 0.3 percent THC or less.

Prior to this legislation, pharmacies in Alabama were prohibited from selling any CBD products even though CBD could be purchased from a variety of retailers throughout the state.

While hemp-derived CBD had been federally legalized in 2018, CBD was still classified as marijuana under Alabama law. Because of this, CBD had been regulated as a Schedule 1 controlled substance alongside illicit substances like opioids and heroin.

With the passing of SB225, Alabama has removed CBD as a Schedule 1 controlled substance, following suit with the federal government’s reclassification of CBD. This will help to further normalize the industry and could help to establish a much-needed framework for regulating the quality and safety of CBD products.

As pharmacies across the state begin to stock their shelves with CBD products, residents of Alabama can soon purchase a variety of CBD products from the convenience of their local pharmacy.

China Claims Cannabis Legalization is a Threat by Ryan Tengco at CBD Origin

In a press conference last Monday, deputy director of China’s Narcotics Control Commission, Liu Yuejin, claimed that cannabis legalization in Canada and the United States has become a “new threat” to China.

According to Yuejin, the number of Cannabis users in China grew to over 24,000 people (a 25 percent increase compared to last year) and over 100 packages with cannabis-related products were seized by the Chinese government, containing a total of approximately 121 pounds of cannabis.

While there is no direct correlation between North American exports and this rather unnoteworthy spike in cannabis-related statistics in China, Yuejin blames the influence of North America’s moves towards cannabis legalization.

To most Americans, especially those in states with broad cannabis laws, the statistics reported by Yuejin may seem quite low, but the Chinese government has a very different view of Cannabis.

In China, Cannabis is strictly prohibited. If someone is found in possession of even a small amount, they’ll probably get thrown in jail, and those found guilty of possessing over 50g could face the death penalty.

Evidently, the Chinese government does not tolerate any amount of Cannabis whatsoever, hence their seemingly exaggerated response to the increased presence of cannabis.

The Chinese government has yet to announce how it intends to address its new threat, but its clear that China is definitely not a travel destination you should bring cannabis to.

AndHemp Review by Aaron Cadena at CBD Origin

Thinking about giving AndHemp a try? Read our AndHemp Review to learn the facts before making your purchase!
AndHemp Review Overview

Launched last year, AndHemp is a brand that most have probably not heard of; however, you may want to get better acquainted with this brand.

With a collection of premium, broad-spectrum CBD products, priced better than most similar options, this just one of the positive highlights we uncovered in our AndHemp review.

Read about our full experience with And Hemp’s CBD Tincture and more in the full review!

AndHemp at a Glance

AndHemp’s CBD oil tincture comes in a solid white bottle and is available in 500mg and 1000mg concentrations with four flavors to choose from: Natural, Strawberry, Peppermint, and Orange.

The product features a clean, minimal design that is complemented by the solid white bottle. This is actually the best type of bottle to use as it prevents the sun from degrading the quality of the oil.

When drawn into the dropper, the CBD oil features an ambient, liquid gold appearance that is crystal clear, evenly textured, and free of any debris or unsettled particles.

Also, as you can see in the picture, the dropper features clear measurement guides which are needed to accurately measure your dosage.

AndHemp Quality

According to AndHemp.com, their CBD products are made with THC-Free Broad Spectrum Distillate that is extracted from cannabinoid-rich hemp grown in Colorado.

In our interview with Shaun Paquette, one of the owners of AndHemp, Shaun shared his true passion for the work that they do and emphasized on his strict dedication to quality and integrity.

“There’s no point in doing something unless it’s the best––especially in this industry where we’re helping to change people’s lives and setting the foundation for the future of this industry,” Paquette expressed.

To ensure the quality of their products, they made sure to do everything the best way from the beginning.

From carefully sourcing their hemp and being closely involved with the farm and cultivation process to choosing the proper bottles and regularly testing their products with a 3rd party laboratory, AndHemp didn’t seem to spare any expense.

According to a Certificate of Analysis (COA) from SC Labs, dated on April 24th, 2019 (less than 45 days from the date of this review), the cannabinoid profiles of AndHemp’s CBD tinctures far exceeds the number of cannabinoids listed on the label, so you’re actually getting more than you’re paying for!

Below are the results from AndHemp’s COA, which can also be found on their website (link here):

CBD CBDV THC Total
AndHemp CBD – 500mg 617.19mg± 7.59mg± 0.0mg 624.78mg±
AndHemp CBD – 1000mg 1,259.94mg± 14.9mg± 0.0mg 1274.84mg±

Figures listed above are based on the average of each flavor for each concentration (mg)

At the time, this review was written AndHemp did not list any other testing results for their products (eg. heavy metals, VOCs, residual solvents, etc.). Their team did inform us that their products are currently being tested for terpenes, heavy metals, and VOCs, which they will update on their website soon. While the findings of our review have been very good thus far, this portion of the review will be updated upon confirmation of the additional tests.

AndHemp CBD Flavor

AndHemp CBD Oil Tinctures are available in 4 flavors: Natural, Orange, Peppermint, Strawberry. Below I’ve listed a general flavor profile for each with a personal comment:

Natural featured the plant-like flavor of hemp/cannabis with light notes of nutty hemp seed oil. Unlike some natural-flavored tinctures, this wasn’t overwhelmingly strong or distasteful. It was noticeable but actually very mild. Personally, I’m not typically a fan of the natural, earthy hemp flavor, but I didn’t mind this one. Kevin, our graphic designer who enjoys the natural flavor of hemp/cannabis, said he really enjoyed the flavor.

Orange featured a sweet and tangy orange flavor that wasn’t like the zesty, semi-bitter orange-rind flavor of the many other orange-flavored tinctures I’ve tried. AndHemp’s orange was more like an orange candy or gummy. I typically enjoy the bitter, orange rind flavor tinctures, but I can definitely see how someone with more of a sweet tooth, or who enjoys fruity flavors would enjoy this one much more.

Peppermint featured a fresh blast of Spearmint. It had a natural cooling effect, and the light mint flavor allowed slight notes of hemp oil and hemp flavor to blend into the flavor. I enjoy lighter flavors, mint, and have started getting used to the natural hempy flavor, so I really enjoyed this one a lot.

Strawberry is a flavor that I’ve never seen in a tincture and didn’t think the flavors of berry, hemp seed oil, and hemp would go well together, but it actually did and really well. Strawberry featured a sweet berry flavor, that was slightly candy-like and complemented the natural flavor of the oil. Unanimously, I think we all liked this one the most, because, even though strawberry is a basic flavor, it’s unique for CBD tincture flavors, and it tasted great.

While our team members found every flavor enjoyable, each person has a unique flavor preference. The good thing is that AndHemp has a diverse selection of flavors, so if even if you hate most flavors, you’ll probably find at least one of them to be enjoyable.

AndHemp Price vs Value

AndHemp products, along with products from several other brands, including Koi CBD, Reef CBD, and Chronic Candies, can be purchased from AndHemp.com.

While this review is for AndHemp’s CBD tincture, it’s worth noting that products from other CBD brands are listed cheaper on AndHemp.com than most other places.

AndHemp’s CBD Tinctures are like the “house brand” of the website, so they’re even cheaper, and for the quality of the product that you’re getting, it’s a great deal (plus, you can use the coupon on this review to score 20% off)!

Below, I’ve listed the pricing for AndHemp’s tinctures in 500mg and 1000mg, along with some of the other products, including CBD gummies, CBD topicals, etc.

Product Price
AndHemp Tincture – 500mg $29.99
AndHemp Tincture – 1000mg $59.99
AndHemp CBD Gummies (20 count) – 200mg $19.99
AndHemp Hot Muscle Gel – 150mg $24.99
AndHemp Topical Lavender Lotion – 200mg $29.99
AndHemp Peanut Butter Dog Treats (20 count) – 100mg $24.99
AndHemp Pet Relief Hot Spot Spray – 250mg $29.99
AndHemp Pet Tincture – 250mg $19.99
AndHemp Pet Tincture – 500mg $29.99

AndHemp Company Reputation

AndHemp launched towards the end of 2018, so they brand is relatively new, which explains the lack of brand presence.

The customers that have shopped on their website and tried AndHemp products (myself included), the feedback is positive. It’s still too early to gauge how they will hold up over time, but based on my discussions with their team and how our review went, it looks like they are going in the right direction.

Should You Give AndHemp a Try?

After a thorough review of AndHemp and their CBD Oil Tincture, we came across several compelling reasons to give their products a try, which I’ve listed below:

  • AndHemp products are made with Broad Spectrum CBD extracted from Colorado-grown hemp under high-quality standards
  • Based on our experience, AndHemp’s products were enjoyable and had diversified options for everyone (suggestion: would love to see high concentrations)
  • AndHemp offers great pricing on all their products. They aim to be affordable so the people who need their products can actually buy them.

But, do these highlights outweigh the fact that AndHemp is very early in the startup stage and may not have the experience or track record like a more established brand?… I believe so.

For less than a year, it looks like the team and AndHemp have gotten a lot done and hopefully they keep it up. The quality is good, the price is great, and they don’t seem to be some fly-by-night company. I’d say that’s more than enough reason to give em a try.

To learn more about AndHemp and browse their collection of products, visit AndHemp.com, and if you decide to give them a try, score 20% off with code: ORIGIN20

Thanks for reading our AndHemp review! I hope that learning about our experience has provided you with the information to make a more informed purchase.

If you have any questions or comments about our AndHemp review or have had an experience with one of AndHemp’s products yourself, we’d love to hear from you in the comments below!

Should You Buy CBD Oil on Amazon? by Aaron Cadena at CBD Origin

When shopping for CBD online, you may have found that there has been a surge of listings for CBD oil on Amazon.

While increasing demand has spearheaded CBD onto the shelves of major retailers like Kroger, CVS, and Neiman Marcus, it was quite surprising to find that CBD was apparently being sold on Amazon, given its strict regulations.

Nonetheless, as an Amazon Prime member and daily CBD user myself, I was eager to find out which CBD products could be ordered on Amazon.

After sifting through dozens of listings, I realized that the reality of buying CBD oil on Amazon was too good to be true…

If you’ve come across the numerous listings for CBD oil on Amazon and considered adding them to your cart, you may want to think twice.

Why You Probably Shouldn’t Buy CBD Oil on Amazon

After reviewing several listings of CBD oil on Amazon, I immediately realized that something was amiss.

While there are a few products from established CBD brands that I have come across, a majority of the CBD products on Amazon appear to be very generic and are not found anywhere except for Amazon.

In addition, I was surprised to find that a majority of the CBD oil on Amazon were labeled with very high MG concentrations; however, they were priced much cheaper than typical CBD products.

Here’s a screenshot of a product on Amazon that claims to have “15,000mg,” but is being sold for just $10.99.

If you think that’s too good to be true… you’re most definitely right.

The Problem with CBD Oil on Amazon

While CBD derived from hemp, was federally legalized last year under the Agricultural Improvement Act of 2018, the FDA has not yet established clear regulations for CBD. Because of this, Amazon and many other e-commerce platforms will maintain their existing policies until further clarification from the FDA.

As a workaround to this complication, some CBD brands will label their products as “Hemp Oil” rather than “CBD Oil.” Despite the clear issues presented by this workaround, it is a rather common practice in the industry and most customers have become accustomed to it.

In this case, however, it seems that many vendors are using this loophole to exploit the industry’s lack of regulatory structure and trick those shopping for CBD on Amazon.

While the CBD products on Amazon may appear very similar to actual CBD products, they are actually nothing more than Hemp Oil or Hemp Seed Oil and don’t contain any CBD at all.

How to Avoid CBD Oil Scams on Amazon

Unfortunately, the prevalence of these CBD oil scams on Amazon has created an unsafe shopping environment for new CBD users.

Unless you’re purchasing from an established CBD brand that you’ve tried before, you should probably avoid buying CBD oil on Amazon, at least for now.

Amazon is an amazing marketplace platform where you can find some of the best deals on your favorite products. But for now, CBD is not one of those items.

In the near future, Amazon will likely take the proper action to address this problem, but until then, we’ll have to survive without the convenience of Amazon Prime when shopping for CBD online.

Kroger will sell CBD at over 940 locations by Ryan Tengco at CBD Origin

Hot on the heels of last month’s FDA hearing on the regulation of Cannabidiol (CBD) products, Kroger announced that CBD topical products will be available at nearly 1,000 stores across 17 states by the end of June 2019.

With over 3,000 locations across the nation, Kroger is the largest supermarket chain in the United States and serves millions of Americans every year.

By entering the rapidly growing CBD market, Kroger will join other major retailers, including CVC, GNC, Rite Aid, Vitamin Shoppe, Walgreens and Macy’s, who have already stocked their shelves with hemp-derived CBD topicals in response to rising demands by customers.

With market competition in the grocery-space becoming increasingly aggressive, Kroger’s decision to expand its offering with various CBD products presents a lucrative opportunity for the Cincinnati-based organization.

Kroger’s Move to Sell CBD Puts Pressure on FDA

As Kroger’s plans come to fruition, its massive control of the grocery industry will stimulate a surge of CBD awareness amongst its customers and stimulate further demand from consumers.

While the FDA has yet to establish how it will regulate CBD, Kroger’s move to enter the market may force the agency to expedite its decision.

Minnesota Hemp Farmer Sues State for Illegally Revoking His License by Ryan Tengco at CBD Origin

LANESBORO, Minnesota – Minnesota Hemp Farmer, Luis Hummel, has filed a lawsuit against the State of Minnesota for illegally revoking his grower’s and then demanding that he destroy his entire hemp crop, which is valued upwards of $3 million dollars.

This lawsuit comes on the fast-developing hemp industry in Minnesota, which experienced a meteoric surge since Minnesota legalized hemp cultivation in 2015.

Earlier this year in May, Hummel received a letter from the Minnesota Agriculture Department, informing him that his license had been revoked and ordered him to destroy his entire crop. According to the letter, this judgment was delivered because products derived from Hummel’s crop had apparently tested positive for Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) levels above the state’s legal limits.

Since receiving that letter, Hummel has not received any additional information or evidence regarding what product was tested, how it was tested, or what levels of THC were even detected.

Since he began growing hemp on his farm back in 2017, Hummel’s crop was primarily used to produce various Cannabidiol (CBD) and hemp products, both of which were not likely to contain high levels of THC.

The issue presented in this case is that the State of Missouri delivered a judgment on Hummel that could greatly impact the quality of his life without giving him the right of due process.

There are a wide range of factors outside of Hummel’s control that could have affected the outcome of this test such as if the product contained other ingredients added outside of Hummel’s control; if THC level revealed was based on the dry weight or liquid volume; if the product was properly tested or if it was even linked to Hummel’s hemp crop.

There are many details that should have been assessed before the state delivered its judgment, and by neglecting to present this information, Hummel believes that the state violated his rights.

A court date has not yet been established, but this will definitely not be the end of this story. Hummel is eager to defend his rights and protect his crop, and won’t be a victim of the State of Missouri breaking its own rules.

The Entourage Effect: Unlocking the Full Potential of Cannabis by Aaron Cadena at CBD Origin

You may be familiar with the two primary compounds – CBD and THC – but there are, in fact, hundreds of other cannabis compounds that offer a wide range of natural benefits.

When used in conjunction, they deliver a synergistic phenomenon known as the Entourage Effect.

What is the Entourage Effect?

The Entourage Effect is the synergistic phenomenon that occurs when multiple cannabis compounds work together to deliver a compounding effect.

In his study, Dr. Ethan Russo, a neurologist with an extensive background on the effects of cannabis compounds on the human body, explains that multiple cannabis compounds can deliver a stronger effect together than any single compound could alone.

With literally hundreds of cannabis compounds, the variety of different synergies offered within the Cannabis plant is astounding.

Cannabinoids, Terpenes, and the Entourage Effect

To understand just how powerful the Entourage Effect can be, and more importantly, how it can be used to improve your experience, let’s take a look at the two primary groups of cannabis compounds: cannabinoids and terpenes.

Cannabinoids and the Entourage Effect

Cannabinoids are a group of active cannabis compounds that can interact with our Endocannabinoid System (ECS) to deliver a variety of effects.

In addition to CBD and THC, scientists have identified more than 100 different cannabinoids within the cannabis plant, and many still remain unidentified.

When used in conjunction, the unique properties of each cannabinoid are used together to deliver an enhanced experience.

Refer to the chart below to learn about some of the primary cannabinoids in cannabis and their unique properties.

cannabinoid-guide-v3
Terpenes and the Entourage Effect

Terpenes are the aromatic molecules found in most fruits, plants, and herbs, including cannabis. They are the source responsible for the zesty odor of lemon, the pungent aroma of pine, and the relaxing flavor of lavender.

In cannabis, terpenes are produced in the sticky resin glands of the plant and are responsible for the variety of unique aromas secreted by different cannabis strains.

When ____, the unique fragrances delivered by terpenes can influence receptors in the olfactory system to stimulate a variety of psychological and physiological effects.

Learn about several of the primary terpenes produced in cannabis and how each can be used to enhance the entourage effect.

11_cannabis_terpenes_and_their_benefits
Comparing The Entourage Effect in Different CBD Products

When shopping for CBD, there are several different types of CBD to choose from CBD isolate, Broad Spectrum CBD, Full Spectrum CBD, and whole plant extracts.

Depending on which type of CBD you choose, the impact of the entourage effect can vary significantly. To understand which type of CBD can deliver the most powerful entourage effect, let’s explore the chemical diversity of each type.

CBD Isolate

CBD Isolate is produced by isolating CBD and stripping all other compounds and substances from the extract. This results in a pure CBD extract.

CBD isolate products do not contain any other cannabinoids or terpenes, and therefore, will not deliver the Entourage Effect. CBD isolate can deliver the therapeutic effects of CBD; however, unless the user is constrained to pure CBD due to legal reasons, CBD isolates greatly limit the potential effects of Cannabis.

Full Spectrum CBD

Full Spectrum CBD is produced by extracting the all cannabinoids and terpenes found present in the Cannabis plant, including THC.

Because Full Spectrum CBD contains a full range of cannabinoids and terpenes, it can deliver a powerful entourage effect with benefits that will far exceed those delivered by CBD isolate.

Due to the legal status of THC in most states, Full Spectrum CBD should unfortunately only be used by those residing in states with broad cannabis laws.

For those who live in a state where Cannabis is illegal, there is, fortunately, a solution.

Broad Spectrum

Broad Spectrum CBD is a bit of a mix between both CBD isolate and Full Spectrum CBD.

Similar to Full Spectrum CBD, Broad Spectrum CBD is produced by extracting all cannabinoids and terpenes from the plant; however, it then undergoes an additional process to completely remove all THC from the extract.

By removing CBD from the extract, Broad Spectrum CBD can deliver most of the benefits of Full Spectrum CBD, without the strict legal regulations.

Whole Plant Extracts

Whole plant, or full plant, extracts are often confused with Full Spectrum CBD; however, they are not the same.

While both extracts contain a full range of cannabinoids and terpenes, whole plant extracts undergo less processing than full spectrum extracts and can contain other compounds naturally produced in the plant, including fats, fibers, vitamins, and other nutrients.

Ultimately whole plant extracts will deliver the most powerful entourage effect, however, they are generally regulated under the same laws as THC.

If you live in a state with broad cannabis laws, whole plant extracts will be the best choice for enjoying the maximum entourage effect.

Ford’s Hemp Car That Never Reached Production by Aaron Cadena at CBD Origin

The Model T and Ford’s Hemp Car

In 1904, Henry Ford founded the Ford Motor Company and, by October 1908, he released the Model T, revolutionizing the automotive industry forever.

While the story of Ford’s rise to success with the Model T has been popularized throughout American culture, one of his most revolutionary accomplishments was kept in the dark.

In 1941, shortly after launching the first Ford V8, Henry Ford constructed a vehicle that was made almost entirely of hemp plastic and was even designed to run on hemp-oil fuel.

After witnessing the impact of mass producing automobiles first hand, Ford realized the negative impact it could have on the environment long term and feared the harsh realities of metal scarcity America would eventually face.

As a farmer, Ford understood the unique potential offered by Hemp and believed that a shift towards plant-based vehicles could avoid both of these problems.

Why Ford’s Hemp Car Never Reached Production

It was a perfect solution, however, there were many companies that had gained huge amounts of wealth and power with the boom of the automotive industry who didn’t view this the same way.

Unfortunately, they were able to undermine Ford’s project and his hemp car never reached mass production.

As Ford’s fears of the automotive industry’s negative impact on the environment are now becoming a reality, it appears his prediction has come true.

While mass-producing Ford’s hemp-based vehicle could have helped us avoid many of the environmental issues we face today, it’s never too late to shift in the right direction.

Ford’s vision for a sustainable vehicle is more important now more than ever.
