Mandi’s bridal shower takes inspiration from their honeymoon destination, Greece. You will feel the ambiance of the islands at this Mediterranean shower and throughout its décor. Maid of Honor, Hailey Lillard of Detailed Touch Events, creates family style seating that transports the guests to another place.
The paper goods show a simple and sophisticated olive branch motif. This compliments the abundance of beautiful flowers lining the single long table. This style of seating is much like most large families would be in Greece for a special occasion.
First, each place setting comes with a beautiful blue napkin wrapped around a personalized menu with an olive branch on top. Next, every guest chair has an olive branch wreath tied with ribbon to the back. Adding these simple touches tie the theme together and elevate the guest experience.
A local Mediterranean restaurant plays host to the shower serving culture foods throughout. The only non-negotiable is the bride’s favorite (non-Mediterranean) desserts!
A Hint of Glam
You will see rustic and natural elements with the X-back farm chairs, the woven chargers, and the linen lounge furniture. Rose gold elements throughout break up the rustic vibe and add a hint of glam. This adds a visual texture to the design and brings in a soft feminine feel.
In addition, personal touches representing the bride are present. One example, the various photos of the bride hanging inside woven wreaths. Also, the bride’s favorite perfume, Miss Dior, is given out as game prizes.
Friends and Favors
This day involves great food, fun games, and lots of laughter. The shower ends with a special party favor. Each guest takes home a beautifully wrapped Parmesan and truffle oil from Williams Sonoma.
Every bride wants to share in the excitement of their engagement with their bridesmaids. So naturally, bride Amanda wanted to plan a perfect bridesmaid reveal luncheon. She chose her beautiful backyard patio full of natural light and well-groomed greenery as the setting.
Tea Party Theme
With an eye for detail and great taste, the tea party theme was a welcomed way to celebrate. Amanda trusted Bleudog Floral to handle all the vintage inspired floral arrangements. Her vision involved a very eclectic and unique combination of blooms.
Lily Oliver Vintage Rentals handled all of the beautiful tableware and accessories. Starting the tablescape was vintage china and silver pitchers used as receptacles for the florals as well as chilled water. The Mother and daughter team carefully layered each dish and goblet to create a wonderful blend of colors and textures. Creating an amazing tablescape as the backdrop for the day.
Bridesmaid Reveal Gifts
Bride Amanda prepared a hand selected box full of personalized goodies for each of her friends. A beautiful touch included hand-drawn cards by the ever talented Electric Eunice Calligraphy. Additionally, Eunice hand drew and painted many of the pretty details shown in the images. The afternoon was full of fun crafts for the attendees.
Crafts and Keepsakes
First Shawna, the owner of Bleudog Floral, taught the group how to make their own personal flower crowns. Then another group activity included decorating sunglasses. Additionally, there was a Polaroid handy to make a cute book of photographs as a keepsake. Bleudog Fotography was on hand from start to finish to capture every moment. From tea time to champagne sipping and yummy macaroons for dessert.
Laughs All Around
Nothing beats laughing with your girlfriends! A bridesmaid reveal makes for a splendid day. It’s a day to share the celebration of your love with the women closest to you. Catch up, craft, sip champagne. I think we can all say cheers to that!
Who needs cake by the ocean when you can have fizzy soda, french macaroons, and designer cookies!? That is what one group of bridesmaids did for their bride at a very special bridal brunch. Complete with tulle skirts, teal accents, and a few mermaid details.
Surprise Bridal Brunch
Brittany was getting married to her fiance, Andy, the following day. Her maid of honor Rachael had recruited the ultimate team to give her one more intimate bridal experience. Having been at Myrtle Beach preparing for the wedding all week, she decided to host a bridal brunch.
It was a celebration with flowers, treats, and gifts for all of the girls in the bridal party. Rachael led Brittany up to an unexpected hotel room to get ready. There she found her wedding dress, pink tulle skirts, complimentary jewelry, makeup bags, and curling irons. Another dress was snagged at a discount for her to wear on the beach during the bridal brunch. There would be no risk of getting her dress dirty from taking an adventurous dip in the ocean!
Rachael arranged for her own wedding photographer to come by and snap pictures of the whole experience. This included special bridal portraits of Brittany. The girls posed on the beach for photos together, highlighting special bouquets arranged for each lady.
The snack brunch included french macaroons, flavored fizzy sodas, and designer cookies. The girls also toasted with champagne, and shared their well wishes for the soon to be Mrs. Brittany was so surprised and humbled, and you could see the excitement growing on her face as the evening ended and she was one step closer to marrying her fiance.
With some nautical flair and romantic details, this was a day to remember. Rachael and the bridesmaids were able to make the pre-wedding experience extra special for their bridal bestie.
