Happy Monday, friends!! About 2 weekends ago, I had the pleasure of going to the country and enjoying a relaxing weekend with my hubby and best friend, Jen and her hubby. And man, let me tell you, it was amazing. It took about 4 hours to get there because of my pee issues. I mean seriously, I do not know what it is but I have to pee like every 10 minutes when going on a car ride. I do the same thing when I fly, it is so annoying. Does anyone else have anxiety when you travel? Anyways, it was such a nice weekend. We were able to unplug and just enjoy a fun much needed weekend. As parents, we sometimes forget to take times for ourselves so I truly believe it is very important for yourself and your relationship to be able to unplug and be able to laugh at yourself and the people you are with. We rode ATV’s in the mud, got very dirty, drank lots of beer, ate yummy food, listen to country music and had all the laughs. It was one of my favorite weekends, I will not lie. I think the best part is that Jen and I have the most amazing husbands that we can laugh and joke with. They make fun of us, we make fun of them but in reality they are the most supportive and loving men you will find. Plus, they put up with us and that says it all about them. Honestly…. If you cannot laugh together & at each other, then what you are doing?
Happy Thursday, everyone!! Today, I am sharing some of the pictures from our girls trip to Charleston. Charleston is now one of my favorite places to visit. It really is Charming. I would go back and visit again and again. I would love to go back and take my hubby. I am sad that I did not take photos of the place we stayed in because it was beautiful and we all got to stay together which was the best part. I loved this weekend and it will be one that I will hold close to my heart for the rest of my life.
Now, I will be honest and say I did a lot of drinking on this trip. (inset no surprise face), so I do not recall every place we went by any means. I hate to admit that but it is true. However, I am sharing some of the things we did that I would recommend.
Do yourself a favor and make sure and rent bikes because you can ride bikes everywhere and that makes it even more fun. Go visit the beautifier neighborhood – The Battery. The homes in this area are absolutely breathtaking. They are gorgeous, they are big and every one of them is even more charming than the last. It is a lovely area and you can get so many photos.
Make sure to visit Rainbow row, which is a historic street full of homes with different pastel colors. I am so mad I did not get more photos through that area.
We did a ghost tour but to us it felt more like a history tour. It was really cool though because it taught us alot about the history of Charleston. I would highly recommend doing that because Charleston has so much history.
You can find other fun things to do in Charleston by clicking here.
Happy Friday, everyone!! This week I am sharing all the great finds that I got on Amazon. Let me tell you, Amazon has really stepped up their game over the years. I remember when it was just household stuff, now you can find anything and everything. PS, if you ever find something that you think I need, please share. Any ways, here is today’s round up. Cheers!!
Happy Hump Day, everyone!! I am so stoked about all the shoes I have got so far this fall. I have not even bought my boots yet. I just love everything that this fall is offering. So, a couple of things about me and shoes. I only wear shoes that I feel truly HOT in, I only wear shoes that are really comfortable and I am not afraid to go outside the comfort zone with shoes. To me shoes have always been my thing. I use to want to start my own shoe line but then I realized quickly I could not draw, so I gave that dream up. But I love shoes. Here are a few of my favorite fall finds. xo!
So these booties were purchased at the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. I really have enjoyed these booties as we transition from summer into fall. I have worn them with shorts and they make my legs look very slender. They are true to size and the cute wedge detail makes them stand out more than others. They have been a hot item this fall, so I strongly suggest grabbing yourself a pair. Plus, they have other colors to tickle your fancy.
So, I actually purchased these booties last year. They are so comfortable and fun to wear all year long. I wear them with jeans, shorts, dresses, and long fall skirts. They come in multiple colors and like I said, Amazon so win. Make sure to snag one of the pairs for fall and fit true to size.
These mules are really a great addition to your fall wardrobe, plus they come in other colors. They look really cute with jeans a long cardigan. Make sure to size up in these babies, because they do run small.
So far the below strappy shoe has been my favorite fall purchase. They are less than $30 and they are so dang cute, and I am obsessed. Actually they are quite comfortable, even though you would not think that looking at them. They zip on one side so you do not have to struggle with undoing the buckle and they would pair nicely with any fall dress. They are amazing, trust me!!
The truth about the shoe below is when I first saw them online, I was like OH HELL NO. However, I then saw them on my friend Jennifer and quickly changed my mind. At that time she was wearing the grey ones with shorts and her legs looked amazing. Do not get me wrong, her legs are always amazing but this particular time I was like hey girl hey. I knew I had to get myself a pair. The best part is they were extremely comfortable and can be worn with joggers as well. I mean hell yes!!
Happy Friday, friends!! So as most of you know, I was at New York fashion week a few weeks ago with my best friend Jennifer and Stephney. Jennifer had meetings and we were there to help her with anything she needed. The best part of the weekend, outside of spending QT with them was the fashion. We ate amazing food, walked a lot, laughed even more and even got to go to a fashion show. Plus, I met some other bloggers who are way bigger than me, but treated me like I was one of them and part of a family. They were truly amazing. I had the best time and so thankful for my best friend Jennifer for taking me. If you do not follow her blog, you need to make that a priority now. Her style is gorgeous and her heart is even bigger. You can follow her here. Here are some pics of my outfits to recap on our trip.
Recently me and some friends and a couple of our husbands went to Vegas. It was such a different trip than years before. Years before, we would go and just bar hop and drink all day in the casinos and this trip was not like that. Do not get me wrong, we did go to the casinos but we did actual activities this time. The girls and I arrived on Thursday. I actually arrived a few hours before the other girls and went and saw Chesney, Mrs. Texas. She was competing in the Mrs. America pageant which is actually the reason for me going in the first place and then we turned it into a friend weekend. I got to spend some time with her and her hubby for a bit before she had to get ready for her events. It was nice to have that 1:1 time with her.
From there, I met the girls at the hotel and we had lunch and got ready for the evening. They were such wonderful friends and went with me to the preliminary pageant. It was so fun and we had a great girls evening. After the pageant, we went to see the show Absinthe. If you are ever in Vegas, I highly recommend this show. Be warned, it is quite rouchy but it is so funny. My stomach hurt the next morning from laughing so hard. I honestly cannot wait to go back to Vegas, just to see that show. It is that good. After the show..Of course, I was trying to have all the fun in the room but the girls were not having it and I am so thankful for that because I felt great Friday. But seriously, those girls give me life, that night was one of my favorites of all time!! Then the next morning the guys arrived and we had yummy food and then went to poolside. The best part of the pool was that we opted out on the party pool and picked the calm pool. It is crazy how things have changed in a couple of years. IN the past, we would have partied until we could not see straight, now we are more into chatting and enjoying eachothers company. I am so thankful for that and how much we have grown as adults. That evening we had a yummy dinner and then went to bed. Then it was Saturday. That day we went to the downtown area and played around. We actually rode the Higher Roller in Las Vegas. If you have never done that, I would strongly suggest it. It is really cool and last like 30 minutes. The views are gorgeous and it is one of those experiences I will never forget. Actually, I see that on routine for our future trips to Vegas. That night we ate at our favorite Vegas restaurant, STK. It was so dang good and of coures we had some amazing wine!! Who doesn’t like yummy wine, right? The next morning we had to leave, and I was so sad but so ready to see my babies. Andrew and I flew home and slept the entire ride home. So, that was our Vegas weekend.
Oh and one more thing, my friend Chesney, Mrs. Texas was in the top 6 at Mrs. America. She is truly amazing and if you do not follow her, you should. She is going to change lives. I could not be more proud of her and her hard work and so honored that I got to watch her on stage at Mrs. America. That was one of the coolest experiences and I look forward to watching the rest of her journey.
Here is some photos from my phone to recap our weekend. I hope you enjoy and have a great evening!!
Hey hey, everyone!! So, I am back. I took a long break from blogging and only focused on Instagram for the summer. I needed a break and was debating if I was going to continue to blog or just be done with blogging but I have decided to come back and make this is a priority in my life. When I first started blogging, I did it as a way to express myself, and then along the way, I lost myself. Actually, I decided to compete in Mrs. Texas and during that time, my focus was on being something that was not really me. I am a wild child and I thought I had to be something different, but in reality, that did not matter. After the pageant, I had a rough time. I am going to be completely honest here and say that when I did not make the top 10 at Mrs. Texas, it killed my spirits some. I truly believed I was going to be in the top 3, if not win it. But that was not the case. For the first time in a long time, I felt pretty low on myself. Then I started drinking more during the week and eating badly and did that most of the summer. Here I am 10 pounds heavier and finally about a month ago, I was like “WTF”!! Now, I cannot blame the pageant for any of this, those were my decisions. Those were my insecurities. If anything, the pageant made me share my past and go outside my comfort zone. It was what I needed at that time in my life. And I made a couple of amazing friends along the way, one of them being Mrs. Texas herself. If it was not for Mrs. Texas, I would not have made those friendships and for that I am thankful. But about a month ago, I realized that I had to find my happiness again. Side note – eating and drinking all the time does not make you happy, it actually makes things worse. Of course my family and friends provide me all the love, but this was something that I needed to find in myself. Before the pageant and the summer, I was the happiest I had ever been. I wanted that girl back. That was the day I decided to be me again and reminding myself daily how happy I am happy and what a wonderful life I live. And like that, I was back. Its funny what you can tell your mind to think. A couple of weeks later, I was in Vegas with some of my best friends and I was me again and they loved it. I remembered making people laugh and I was feeling like myself again. Since then I ventured into sharing the real and raw Heather on Instagram and the response has been more than I could have imagined. I have had friends even saying I need to start a YouTube channel. I guess I was scared of being the real me, because I did not want to let anyone down but in reality I was only letting myself down. Now that I can finally be me again, I truly feel amazing and happy. Plus, I got my eyelash extensions back and that always makes a girl happy. ha! But really, I am back and will be not just sharing random outfits with you but real life shit. After all, we are all just living the best life we can, why not be in this together. I hope you will stay with me along the way, I am sorry I have been absent but I am ready to share the real me, the crazy me, the Heather2.0. xo!!
Happy Saturday, everyone!! Today I am sharing some of my kiddos cutest looks lately. I will be taking the next week off to travel to Cabo with the family. We are taking our kiddos to Cabo and this is their second time to Mexico and last year when we went, they loved it. They love flying and the water, just like their mama. I will be sharing our trip when we get back. Until then, adidos and happy shopping. xo!
Happy Thursday, friends!! Today marks the Nordstrom Early Anniversary Sale. This runs from June 12-19th for card members. If you are not a card member, click here to get signed up. I will say I do not use my Nordstrom card when I purchase, because I get better points with another card I have but you must sign up to get a card to get early access. It is worth it though b/c you get all the perks of having one. However, starting on July 20th- August 5th, it opens to the public. So, you can always go check these items out below and come back then to purchase. But the reason why you want to start your shopping now is because things do run out. Last year, I found myself putting items in my cart and by the time I went to check out, they were sold out. I would strongly recommend signing up for a card, you can even tie it as a debit which is what I did. It is worth it, trust me. Here are some of my favorite items that I had to share with you.
Also, please note that I will share more when I return back from Cabo here in about 10 days but here is something for now to get you started.
PS, it is sometime after 4 AM, this might not be the hardest blog post in the world but its something to get you started. So…. now I am going to hit the hay for 3 hours before the twins wake up. Cheers to coffee and wine!! xo! Happy Shopping!!
Happy 4th of July, everyone! This year, we are going to the neighborhood parade and then off to my sister in laws for a day of swimming and fun with the family. Since it falls during the week, Andrew and I have to work on Tuesday and Thursday but we will have a blast on July 4th regardless. Then on Friday, we are headed to Lakeway with my best friend Jennifer and her family for a quick weekend getaway. Sometimes quick trips are the best because you can get away for a few and just turn it off. Then we come back for a week and headed to Cabo. Its going to be a quick July for the Offer family. Anyways, I hope everyone has a great 4th. Stay safe!! xoxoox
