At Burravoe school we found a cabbage white butterfly it was on the pavement. But we picked it up and saved it we gave it flowers, he liked the dandelions and buttercups best. In the end we gave him some sugary water he got better but we are still taking care of him.

On the 24th of April all 17 P7s from Yell went to Cullivoe, for first week of transition. We got to do lots of fun activities to get to know each other better than before. It was really fun and we’re all looking forward to next transition day.
Pecky, our Vorwerk cockerel, had got a bit too big for us to keep and was a bit noisy for our neighbours! Claire, who keeps lots of chickens, has 4 Vorwerk hens so she was really happy to give Pecky a new home. So that Chirpy won’t be lonely Jennifer gave us one of her Wellsummer hens to keep her company. We have called the new hen Barbara.
Today we had a video conference with Leverhulme School. In January we had told them all about Cullivoe Up Helly Aa and today they told us about living on Harris. The pictures of their island are very beautiful. We were able to share about our wildlife; we have lots that are the same but they have deer which we don’t. We all agreed that we have lots of sheep!
On World Book Day we had to dress up as a character from a book using the clothes that is in our dressing up box at school. I was a witch. After you’ve gotten your clothes done then you need to start making an accessory, my accessory was a wand that was made from a card tube, glitter and masking tape. We also did a 55 word challenge to write a story only using 55 words.
