Chudail Baudi is one of the most haunted places in Shimla. It is situated on Shimla Highway between Chota Shimla To Navbahar. People passing this road in night seen a lady with long black hair and wearing white saree and her face covered with Ghunghat (Part of Saree). She asks for a lift in nights. If people don’t stop for her she starts to run with the car or sometimes comes at backseat from nowhere. Many accidents happen here due to this women ghost.

One more thing can be experienced at Chudail Baudi. Your vehicle will slow down at this scratch no matter how hard you press the accelerator or how powerful is your vehicle.

Similar Stories And Sightings

This story is similar to Delhi Cantt’s haunted road and Dwarka sector 9 Haunted tree where people see a white saree lady asking for a lift and if you don’t offer lift she runs with car no matter how much speed of your vehicle. Bhooton ki Baoli – A Stepwell Constructed By Ghost

Rajasthan is full of Baolis that were built by emperors of those times. These Baolies were used to store water. It is said that one of these baolis one was built by a ghost overnight. As it was built by a ghost people started to call it Bhooton ki baoli. This Baoli is located around 90 km from Jodhpur in a village name Ransi.

Story of Ransi Village Bhooton Ki Bawdi

I met the Baoli owner to ask the story behind this Baoli. He narrated that once his ancestor Thakur Jai Singh was riding his horse towards Ramsi village to see a famous festival mela along with his force. While riding he left behind alone and found that his horse was tired and was thirsty too. He saw a lake nearby and reached that lake to get some water for his horse. As soon as he touched the water a ghost appeared. Ghost said due to a curse he cannot touch this water and asked Jai Singh for water. Jai Singh was a brave man he without any fear offered water to that ghost. After drinking water the ghost said you win my heart and I want to offer something to you, just ask anything. Jai Singh asked him to build a beautiful city along with a palace at his place.

Ghost accepted his wish but given two conditions. First that whatever he built in day he will extend that 100 times in the night. Second, if he tells this conversation to anyone then I will permanently stop my side work. Jai Singh accepted his conditions.
The next day Jai Singh asked his workers to start building things along with this Baoli. The just dug a few feet in the day but next day everyone was amazed to see half-built baoli with impossible to lift stones. Jai Singh’s wife forced Jai Singh to tell the secret behind this superfast work and stopped eating food till he tells her the secret. Within a few days, her condition getting worse due to hunger and to see this Jai Singh had to reveal that secret to this wife. As he leaked that secret Ghost stopped the work in between.

It is said that his palace was to be of 7 floors but Ghost stopped work in just two floors. Ghost also let a part of Baoli unconstructed. Bhooton Ki Bawdi is around 200 feet deep. It as 14 pillars and 174 steps. Its construction is very advanced from that time.

What Makes Bhooton Ki Baoli Haunted

No one ever dares to come to this baoli at night, People still hear construction sounds in the night. Also, I checked baoli in the day and at around the last 10 steps I see pigeons keep falling every few hours. It looks something is killing these pigeons.

My Night Stay Plan At Bhooton Ki Baoli

I was not prepared to spend a night there as in day time I saw it was full of spiders and bates. Ill soon visit this place again with some protective gears like shoes etc to reveal the mystery behind this palace.

Bullet Baba Temple is one of the most unique temples of India. This temple has a real royal enfiled bullet motorcycle of which people worship. On my visit to Bullet Baba Temple, I come to know the story behind this all.

Story Of Bullet Baba Aka Om Banna

Let me take you to 2 December 1991. It was a chilled morning with dance fog when a guy named Om Singh Rathore decided to ride his royal enfiled bullet motorcycle to friends place. In the midway, due to dance fog, he met with an accident and hit his motorcycle with a tree. He sustained serious injuries to his head due to which he died in a min. His motorcycle fell into a roadside ditch. Some passerby informed police and police took him to the hospital and his bike to a nearby police station. The hospital declared Om Singh Rathore brought dead.

On the next morning, a strange incident happened at the police station where Om Rathore’s bike was brought. Police found his motorcycle missing after a search they found bike again at the same place of the accident. It was a surprise for police and locals. This time they took out fuel from the bike and put chain and lock to ensure nobody can move this motorcycle. Even after this next morning bike was again vanished from that police station and found back at the accident site.

Picture of Om Banna at Temple Finding Solution of Venishing Motorcycle

Local says that despite all the efforts bike kept going back to the accident site with some unknown force. After all the paper works police handover bike back to Om Banna’s family. They immediately sold that bike to a Gujrat guy but same happened again, the bike came back to the accident spot after a few days.

Some seniors suggested family to handover bike to them and let them make a temple in memory of Om Singh Rathore. And this was the final destination of that miracle motorcycle.

Om Banna Temple Entry What People Say About Their Encounter With Bullet Baba

Many bikers claimed they have seen Om Singh Rathore’s spirit helping bikers helping in ways. I met a biker who visit Bullet Baba every year, he told me that once he was passing by this place his bike got punctured. He waited for a few mins for help near his bike. A local took him to puncture guy when he returned he found his motorcycle’s tire fixed by itself. Puncture guy told him that its miracle of Bullet Baba and he should visit the temple to thank him. That was the day he visits this temple every year to thank good gesture of Bullet Baba.

Protected Under Glass

Legend says if you pass this temple without bowing down your head you will definitely have a dangerous journey ahead.

Local says that this motorcycle still automatically starts sometimes and turned of after few mins. Indeed its a crazy story but trust me people visit this place from all over India and its like a normal temple for locals. People do Bullet Baba Aarti every evening.

Make a wish here

I also met his son Maha Prakrami Singh who told the same story. He also said his father still play with that motorcycle and help people on highway when in distress. I too bowed my head at temple and found strange satisfaction. Do pay a visit here i bet you wont get disspointed.

How To Visit Bullet Baba Temple

By Road – Its at National Highway 62 near village Chotila en-route to Pali.

The Barog Tunnel (Tunnel No 33)

Barog is a small hill station in Solan Himachal Pradesh. Barog Tunnel is located between Kalka To Shimla Narrow gauge railway line. This line was opened in 1903.

This track got a beautiful view of mountains and of course, this route is full of tunnels. Tunnel number 33 is located with Barog railway station. It is also known as The Barog Tunnel. Tunnel no 33 is one of the longest tunnels on Kalka – Shimla railway line.

Barog Tunnel History

Tunnel no 33 was constructed in British times. It is said that when workers started to dig the tunnel but soon there was a problem that they find tunnel getting darker and darker. Engineers found the way to illuminate in day time using mirrors to reflect sunlight in the tunnel. For the night they used acetylene gas to illuminate the tunnel.

First British Colonel Barog was assigned as a construction engineer for this tunnel. He used his skills and technicals to mark two ends of the mountain for the tunnel that should meet at a straight line. Workers started to construct the tunnel according to marks were given by Colonel Barog. After a long time of hard work a devastating result came, both ends of tunnels do not meet as aspected and all the work is done on the tunnel got wasted. As a punishment British government fined Rs 1 to Colonel Barog to insult him. After this Colonel Barog got in depression and in this humiliation he shot himself in front of this tunnel. A few people say that he first killed his dong then shot himself in the head.

After the death of Colonel Borog H.S. Herlignton was given charge to bore a new tunnel in replacement of this failed tunnel. It took more than 3 years to complete the tunnel with the help of a local Baba Bhalku’s engineering skills. Later Baba Bhalku was given a medal and turban as a reward by the British government. Also, this track was declared World Heritage Status by UNESCO.

Why Tunnel 33 Called Haunted

After the death of Colonel Barog locals and railway officials claims that they have seen Colonel Barog’s ghost roaming around the tunnel and railway track. People still gets afraid to visit this place even in daytime.

My visit to Tunnel no 33

I heard a lot about the ghost of the tunnel no 33 on the internet and thought to plan a visit there. At the end of 2018, I got a chance to visit this place. A bike group named Road Soldiers were going on Manali ride, I too joined them till my destination. Means I will have to visit alone at Tunnel. So I planned accordingly with some personal safety gears. Our group route was Delhi – Ambala – Panchkula – Kalka – Barog – Shimla. We started early morning and reached at 2 PM at Barog. At Barog I split from the group and started to ask locals about that tunnel. I was told that the tunnel is just at the Railway station of Barog.

I finally reached Barog station and was a wonder to see its a lively place. A few groups were there and that tunnel is a working tunnel. I asked a railway stuff guy that have you ever seen or heard something haunted about this tunnel? He said this working tunnel is not that haunted tunnel, it’s too named as tunnel no 33. The originally failed tunnel is a few mins away from this tunnel.

I then finally managed to reach that tunnel. That tunnel and surroundings was really scaring me away. The tunnel was in between woods and was full of water. Its the roof was leaking. It was full of dark because there was no other end of it. It seems that authorities tried to load that tunnel but its main gate was broken. I had a plan to stay there till dark but I couldn’t dare to. So I called my group and rejoined them in hope to visit that place again with some daring friend.

If you are one of them and would like to join me on a bike ride and night stay at that place, post a comment or contact on my social networks.

Introduction To Haunted GP Block

There are a lot of haunted places in India and GP Block is counted as one of the top most haunted place in India. It is situated in Uttar Pradesh’s Meerut City. A lot of adventurists trespassed this place and have different stories to tell. It’s also an important point that this area falls under the Indian Army (Cantonment)

Main Building Of GP Block Story Behind GP Block

People claimed to see a red saree women combing her hairs at the rooftop of this structure. Also, a few people claimed to see 4 guys from the window having the drink.

3 Buildings Of GP Block My Visit To GP Block

I Visited this place in the month of March last year on my motorcycle alone. This place isnt a well-known place nearby also there are lot of restrictions to visit this place by Army. I was well aware of this fact and was fully prepared to trespass this place.

It took almost 2 hours to locate GP Block’s way that goes through an isolated jungle kind of passage. I took my bike on that wooded area. It was just a few meters inside and a guy comes from nowhere and stopped me asking where I am going. He seems to be in the influence of alcohol and started to ask what’s inside my bag. I told me that I have clothes and I mistakenly took this route I want to go to Haridwar and started to move my bikes direction back to the main road. He clutched my hand but I zoomed my bike and flew.

Inside GP Block

After coming back I told this story to one of my friend Jatin. He assured me that next week he will go with me with a few other macho guys to tackle any situation. On second Saturday of March, I and Jatin and 3 other guys visited GP Block in early hours of Day. The passage was too narrow to take our car inside so we parked the car a few mins away from GP Block and walked towards to structure. We spent a few hours there. Around 2 PM two schoolboys came there on their scooty. I asked them about the haunted stories they told me that they come to this place to have weed and smoke and this place is unsafe as a lot of antisocial people comes here to hide out and to do illegal activities.

Way To GP Block

Regarding ghost, they told us that there is nothing wrong with this place. This place used to have a family that was deployed by the army to take care of this structure and they never compliant and paranormal thing here.

As we had already spent 6 hours at this place no one was willing to stay here till midnight. So unfortunately i had to come back. I am planning a night stay at this place in the coming 2-3 months. Will soon update this article with my night experience at GP Block Meerut.

What is Shaniwar Wada

Most of us already have heard about Shaniwar Wada because of history of Peshwas but its popular for some other reasons too. Yes, I am talking about being haunted. This article will cover all aspects as me and my friend personally visited this place in full moon night and covered every single corner of Shaniwar Wada.

Introduction

Shaniwarwada name comes from Shaniwar means Saturday. This fort got its name from its day of the foundation that is 10th Jan 1730 which was a Saturday. It was completed in 1732.

This Palace was built by Peshwas. Its spread in over 625 acres and was made with a cost of Around 16,210 Indian Rupees of that time. Which was a big sum of the amount if compared with today’s money value.

Shaniwar Wada hs five Darwazas (gates). Dilli Darwaza is the main gate of the place and face towards New Delhi. Other four gates named Mastani Darwaja,Khidki Darwaja,Ganesh Darwaja and Narayan Darwaja

On 27th February 1828 a major fire destroyed the place. It took 7 days to stop the fire. This fire destroyed everything inside the place furniture, clothes, decorative etc.

Story Of Being Haunted

Legend says that Kashibai’s best friend of childhood had cursed the Place after her husband killed by Bajirao in suspicion of being traitor. Because of this curse, Shaniwar Wada was always was struggling between betrayal and dishonesty by its own peoples.

Story 2 That made Shaniwada Haunted

It is said that Narayanrao’s ghost is haunting this place since he was killed. After the death of his both brothers in 1772, teen Narayan Rao grandson of Bajirao took over the Throne as 5th Peshwa, one of the youngest ruler ever of Peshwa history. Many other eligibles opposed his succession, Rahunathrao is one of the haters. After seeing his attitude towards him one-day Narayanrao house arrested Raghunathrao near his sleeping room.

Raghunathrao had a lot of supports who were assassins he wrote a letter to them and sent by in hands of his wife. The letter has one line “Narayanrao La Dhara” which means capture Narayanrao but his wife in a fit of anger intercepted “Dhara” word to “Maara” that changed meaning from capture to kill. Gardis managed to get in the palace and when Narayanrao saw them started to run and keep calling his uncle “KAKA! Mala Vachva!” Means uncle save me. But Gardis head Sumer Singh managed to catch him and killed him. They chopped his body into in small pieces so that they can carry his body in a small pot. Later they threw his body pieces into the water.

Since that time Narayan Rao’s spirit is seen roaming around the fort in nights and many people say that this spirit has been seen shouting same words “KAKA! Mala Vachva!”

What Happend When We Spent Night At Shaniwar Wada

My friend and I were sitting in my balcony smoking tobacco and talking about life, swinging from existential questions to negative energies that reside among us. The discussion quickly shifted to our personal adventures endeavor in pursuit of finding paranormal experiences. He was telling me a couple of his friends went to Shaniwar Wada last winter and they did, in fact, had such an experience there. I have always been fascinated by such stories and I got goosebumps hearing it. So we both decided we will give it a go and visit that place next week.

Executed Plan

Morning of our day happens and we are yet packing our bags, in background my wife still trying to convince me not to fall into such affairs and stay away from it. But it was doing no affect on me. We reached Pune by the nightfall and reached our final destination Shaniwar Wada an hour later. It is a mesmerizing place no doubt, beautiful palace must have been in it’s full glory. But we were just interested to find something to shiver our spine there. If I forgot to tell you, we decided to spend our entire night there.

We started roaming here and there randomly, hours passed nothing happened. We laid down for a bit in the grass to find some rest and closed our eyes, almost no one around us.

After Dark

Now the dark took over the place. It was a full moon night but the moon was covered with clouds. While we were sitting in grass we heard a voice wooshh.. in whispers behind us. I have always fantasized if something like this ever happens with me I will try to get towards it to find out more about it instead of running from it, I felt like doing the actual opposite. That voice was so scary and real, somehow we gathered the courage to walk towards it, we hear another exactly same voice but this time from the complete opposite direction.

Night At Shaniwar Wada

We said okay screw it lets walk towards this new one, after walking a few steps towards it we found there is a chair over there. My phone rang and it was my wife I had to look cool to her no matter what, I talked and assured her that we are safe and comfortable and cut the phone. We then looked back to reach to the chair and examine it. And that spooky chair disappeared, it was nowhere to be seen. We looked at each other and said this is it we can’t have more of this and rushed to the exit. We reached our hotels sweating in our pajamas and still when we think about it our heartbeat gets faster.

Kuldhara Village Rajasthan What’s haunted at Kuldhara ?

Jaisalmer as you think of this place you will imagine camels, sand and traditional dresses but just 34 km away from the main Jaisalmer city there is a village tagged as the haunted village of India. It’s an abandoned village now declared heritage city of India. Yes, you guessed right its Kuldhara.

This village was established in 1291 by a group of Brahmins from Pali and later they used Paliwal as their surname. Village survived happily for over 600 years till 1825’s mysterious night when all of the sudden each and every single person living in the village got vanished. Where? What’s the story behind all this? Let’s find out.

What’s haunted at Kuldhara?

As per my research, most of the people say they see ghosts walking around the village and abandoned structures. These ghosts are of those missing Paliwal’s who got vanished suddenly. Locals say they are still here to claim this place. Legend says many tried to rehabilitate this village but for mysterious reasons no one was successful. Later Archeological Survey Of India took this village under them and declared Kuldara as a protected monument. There are a few stories of Kuldhara being called a haunted village.

Story One- Salem Singh

For centuries brahmins of Kuldhara village were living happily but one day Salem Singh Deewan of Jaisalmer had an eye on a beautiful girl of Kuldhara. She was the daughter of sarpanch of the village. Salem Singh offered sarpanch to marry his daughter but he refused the proposal saying hard words. Even after this rejection, Salem Singh didn’t leave any stone unturned but nothing worked.

At last Salem Singh given an ultimatum to villagers that either give that girl to him or he will ruin everyone living in the village. Sarpanch of the village asked Salem Singh to wait for a few days so that they can reconsider his proposal. In the meeting villagers in one voice decided not to let that girl in hands of Salem Singh. So to save the girl villagers hide their gold and important stuff under someplace in the village and ran away without any trace just to save that girl. Before going they cursed this village that no one can ever stay here again.

Story Two – Mughal’s Attacks

Mughal Empire of that time came to know that this village is one of the most prosperous villages in this area. They decided to take over the village and snatch everything from villagers. Mughals know that people of Kuldhara were Brahmins and they are vegetarians. Mughals instead of attacking the village started to dump ruins of dead animals around the village and make this place smell like hell. This idea worked and at the end, Villagers of Kuldhara had to leave this village forever to save themselves from Mughal’s torture.

Story Three – Shortage of Water

The most relevant reason was Shortage of water. Till 17th century there was enough water. But with time Baoili’s started to getting dried up and the water level of the village started to get down. Due to the shortage of water people of the village decided a mass migration to an unknown location.

My Visit To Kuldhara Village

I started my journey from Delhi to Kuldhara on my bike. It was October 2018 and I was aware that Kuldhara was a risky bet to stay alone at night to research paranormal. It took around 20 hours to reach Kuldhara that is around 850 km from my place. I was aware that night entry is not allowed here and I need to find the alternate entry. I parked my motorcycle outside the gate and jumped the main gate with my backpack having essentials. It was quite not a single sound of even some animal. I started to walk in. It wasn’t too dark everything was visible in the moonlight. I saw a few ruins and also saw some renovated huts and structures.

After walking for a few mins I saw a night on the road I was walking. I got curious and was frightened same time but couldn’t stop myself to check that thing. As I walk towards that light I heard a voice “Oyeeee”. I turned 360 degrees but couldn’t see anyone. It was one of the scariest few seconds of my life. I thought to move back and run. Before I could make some decision a cop appeared in front of me and asked me how did I get in? I said curiosity took me here and told him that I came from Delhi just to investigate this place at night. He started laughing at me. I asked what happened? He said he is here for night duty and all this is nonsense, there are no ghosts.

He spent months here during his night duty and that is all alone. After talking to him for a few mins I walk back thinking if this guy can live here for nights then why Legend says that no one can live here in nights?

My Conclusion Whether Kuldhara Haunted Or Not

That’s absolutely true that Kuldhara was is an abandoned village and mysteriously every resident of that village got vanished one night. But this all hyped so much that these ruins came to highlights. There is no ghost or paranormal. As i saw a policeman spending night inside doing his duty. I guess local authorities thought to monetize the stories of the haunted village. They made a private partnership with Jindal’s and even made a restaurant inside the village. Its now being developed as a tourist place. So simple just to promote this place as a tourist place these stories are being cooked up by villagers.

How To Reach Kuldhara

The best idea to reach Kuldhara is by road. Kuldhara is 850 km from Delhi NH 11 is the best route to Kuldhara.

By Air – There is a straight flight to Jaisalmer Airport from New Delhi that takes around 90 mins to reach. From the Airport, you can hire a cab.

By Train – My suggestion is to take a train to Jaisalmer railways station and then take cab to Kuldhara.

Entry Fee

Per Person – Rs. 10
Per Vehicle With Rider – Rs. 50
Timings – Sunrise To Sunset

A Note

I used name Salem Singh instead of popular name Salim Singh. Logically a Rajasthani name is Salem not Salim (Muslim name). Sir name used is too Rajasthani “Singh”. Authorities used name Salim on boards but my logic says it could be an error in translating a name written in hindi.

Bhangarh Ka Kila

I assume you already know that Bhangarh ka Kila is considered not only as one of the most haunted places in India but the most haunted place of Asia. If you don’t know about Bhangarh fort story, then you can click here to read. Many people claimed that they saw and experienced paranormal even in broad daylight at Bhangarh fort. But they never showed any evidence of happenings. There are many haunted places in Rajasthan and locals spice up the stories that they heard from old people, and Bhangarh is one of them.

My personal visit to Bhangarh ka Kila can be titled as a pleasant visit to ancient monument, thats it. I didn’t experience any paranormal at this fort. Let talk about ghosts. First, let me ask you a question “Do you believe in ghosts ?” if you answer is in Yes then another question just for you “Have you ever seen ghost by yourself” now let me guess your answer, That is 100% a big “No.” Friends we just believe ghosts exist because of stories cooked around us.

A True Story of Bhangarh Ka Kila.

Me and two of my friends planned a night stay at Bhangarh to experience paranormal and thrill of being haunted. We left Delhi early morning in our Ritz car and had lunch midway and reached Bhangarh around 3 PM. We thought that it would look like an isolated place, we will see none there, but when we arrived the fort, we saw 3 tourist buses a lot of cars and bikes outside the Bhangarh Fort. As soon as we entered the fort, we saw Hanuman Mandir. I asked a local about that mandir, he told me that this mandir is just there to suppress the power of paranormal here. It was something scary. We bowed down to Bajrangbali and entered the fort. Fort had a Baoli that was full of water. We saw a few kids were jumping from the first floor into that water. One of my friend got urged to had a dip. But as soon as he jumped in, he got down and didn’t come back. My other friend immediately put things from the pocket and jumped inside to get him. He successfully took him out. My friend told us that someone was pulling his leg and dragging him inside. But we didn’t believe him as he was drunk.

Here we stayed. Execution of Night Stay At Bhangarh Ka Kila

Anyways it was turning to dark, and everyone including birds started to vanish from Bhangarh Fort. We chose a room to stay and started bonfire inside that room ( That room has no roof). We all were at different different corners, and suddenly my drunk friend started shouting “salo masti mat karo.” I asked what happened, he said one of you slapped his back. My heart came out of my mouth I asked both of them to come and sit together. After a few mins he fell down on his face, and he started running towards fort’s gate. We too started running behind him. We thought to ask him in the car about happenings. But he didn’t even stop at car and kept running on the road. My other friend started the car, and we chased him and dragged him into the car and started our journey back to Delhi. I touched him he was hot like a heater, he got fever and asking alcohol. Later after a few days, he told me that he got slapped 2 times on his back. As a conclusion, i don’t believe his story because he was drunk and other two of us didn’t felt any paranormal presence there.

I mean to say that you must have heard a lot of stories but you will find no evidence of ghosts at Bhangarh ka Kila. Night stay is risky due to wild animals, and also it’s a punishable offense to stay at Bhangarh fort after dark. What do you think about my drunk friend’s story do tell me in the comment box.
