First question that pops to my head – People are too scared of using facial oils , afraid looking oily and greasy!
However face oils with the right ingredients can be an amazing remedy for blemishes and softening the skin , and don’t be afraid to use face oils even if you have combined/oily skin like me – it’s all about using it in the right order , right way and right amount. I personally take very little , heat it up between my hands and then just tap it softly on my face.

Here are my top fav oils, that I have tried so far and that worked greatly for me!

Tarte Cosmetics Maracuja Oil :

This oil isn’t here to play games! It does have a thick texture , so I keep this oil only after I do waxing anywhere in my body or face – it smoothes and calms the skin AMAZINGLY.

GlamGlow StarPotion Oil

Whenever I see – charcoal , clarifying , purifying – I just get magnetised to the product. I love to use this oil after a face mask , it just gives the skin an amazing GLOW and with the ingredients , it does help to clarify your skin and fight the blemishes – so if you have tired or dry skin , I suggest you give this a try!

Laura Mercier Flawless Skin

This is a nice light oil , if you start your journey with face oil with a fear feeling – give this a try.  It’s nourishing and infused with rose ingredient . You can apply this before you do your makeup ( keep a timeline of 20-30 min)

Kiehl’s Midnight Concentrate

It’s a classic! However , keep in mind a product that is ‘concentrate’ is usually more heavy and rich in ingredients , so keep this for rare cases if you have a super tired skin , super dry or you fighting uneven skin tone and blemishes. Concentrate should be applied before your last step in skincare ( which I hope is moisturizer ) and a little amount , don’t get too generous with it!

Let me know , if you tried any face oils and what you think of face oils in general!!

I’ve been doing lash extensions for a very long time – first time I tried it was back in 2013. So on and off , me and lash extensions have our moments!

For me personally lash extensions is a life saver – for my travels , for my makeup career and considering that my own lashes aren’t that dramatic and applying false lashes everyday can get tiring , and so many women just wouldn’t wanna waste time on applying falsies.

What you need to know :

Lash extensions can last up , up to 3 weeks – honestly everything depends on your master , the glue and MOST important is how well you take care of them.
Do not use mascara once you have lash extensions as firstly its not needed and secondly you will just make the lashes fall off faster .

Another thing , is rubbing your eyes is another big NO,NO – and that’s a good thing , because generally rubbing eyes is A NONO , so maybe lash extensions will stop you from doing it!

If you trying to remove makeup around your eyes , you can still use water but way gently and careful to not apply too much face wash or remover on your lashes.

There’s many different styles of lash extensions you can do such as Classic 2D Lashes or 3D , Russian style – all depends what you wanna have – DRAMA , DRAMA or Drama Naturale?
I obviously do my lashes with my Glamjam Team for the past year , and never been happier – once you have a master for sometime , she already knows perfectly your eyes and what suits you best !

Brush your lashes and cleanse them – its important and do it daily!

If you go for your lash extensions appointment or they come to you , prepare to lay down for a good 2 hours – remove contact lenses ( if you wear any ) and switch on a good audio book , the service doesn’t hurt and if your technician has a light soft hand – you might have a good nap too.

REMEMBER – most important when you have your lash extensions is to never ever pick them , think about your own lashes as you will remove them too!!!

My overall is a big YES YES to Lash Extensions , it saves a lot of time in daily routine and it adds a beautiful feature to your face ( if done properly ) . Just make sure to check technicians work and reviews and ask for recommendations , because everything depends on your technician!

For Glamjam lash extensions work – check them out on Instagram – @glamjamxpress

Here I have my Classic 2D Lash Extensions which I always go for , because I like to have a more natural settle look to my lashes and it helps to open up my eye even more.

And we are back in here with yet another sensitive subject – oily skin! During my career in the beauty industry – I have noticed that the most frequent questions I get asked during my makeup classes or on my Instagram is to suggest tips and makeup products for oily skin.

First thing , let me tell you – breath , because scientifically it is proven that people with oily and combined skin types tend to have wrinkles way later than people who have normal or dry skin – because the oils that the face produces keeps your face moisturised .

But few things , you need to know is :

  1. Switch to Gel based creams

Gel base reacts on oily skin much better than heavy creams , the more H2o you have in your system – the better it is!! Full creamy based products , can make your face even oilier and give you a feeling of grease.

2.  Exfoliation  is your Friend!

Exfoliate once a week! As an oily skin owner , dust and grease catches on your face easily  – so exfoliating is important! Make sure , that your exfoliator scrub isn’t super harsh and is for sensitive skin!

3. Work out!!!!!

Keep in mind one thought – whatever happens inside your body , will show on your face ! So think about what you eat , and how healthy are you. Exercising daily or working out increases the blood flow and helps nourish skin cells. It also opens clogged pores which in turn helps in removing toxins. Drinking 5-6 glasses of water daily also helps in flushing toxins out of the body.

4. Ease up on Sugar!
I know! Sounds scary!
But , ‘Added sugars like honey, cane sugar, maltose and corn syrup may trigger hormone and blood sugar levels,’ says nutritionist Will Hawkins ‘and this can lead to excess oil production which explains that overly greasy look.’
5. Right Cleansing Routine

It’s a habit that you must master at all times – stick to oil free products. You need a toner , cleansing water and moisturizer is a must. The better you cleanse your face , less you should be afraid of clogged pores and grease on your face .

Try brands like Eucerin , La Roche Posay , Neutrogena , Erborian ( my personal favorites) to create your strong cleansing routine !

Stretch marks have been our problem for quite a while , and so many reasons causes it that we can’t avoid such as pregnancy , instant fat loss and so many other things that causes these babies to pop on our body.

A stretch mark is a type of scar that develops when our skin stretches or shrinks quickly. The abrupt change causes the collagen and elastin, which support our skin, to rupture. As the skin heals, stretch marks may appear.

Here are few remedies you can start today , to say BYE to your stretch marks for good:

1. Coconut Oil

Rub pure coconut oil to your stretch marks few times a week , coconut oil increases blood flow to your skin, and produces collagen fibers, which is important for treating stretch marks.

2 . Natural White Sugar

Yes , you heard me – head to the kitchen right now and get that pure white sugar out!
Due to its excellent natural exfoliating properties, sugar can help you fade away stretch marks effectively.

  1. Mix two tablespoons of natural white sugar with some almond oil or any body oil you have with you.
  2. Apply it on areas of stretch marks for a few minutes.
  3. Let your skin absorb for 5 minutes.
  4. Rinse it off with warm water or take a warm shower.

Continue this for at least a month to see your stretch marks fade away.

3.  Olive Oil

Most of us have an olive oil at home , so it is surprisingly also a strong remedy against stretch marks. Olive oil is rich in healthy fats and vitamin E, which play play a major role in speeding up the healing process within your skin cells.

  1. Pour 3-4 ounces of olive oil in a pan.
  2. Lightly warm up in low heat.
  3. Transfer the olive oil to a small bowl.
  4. Apply on your stretch marks and massage in a circular motion for 5 minutes.
  5. Do this daily until you see results.

4. Hydrating Moisturiser

To make these oh not so pretty scars from your body , start with doing the simplest things such as keep that dry area extremely hydrated at all times. Apply Gel Based moisturizer or creamy on your stretch marks area .

5. Aloe Vera Gel

Aloe Vera keeps your skin moist, which is important for treating your skin fast and effectively – and that is why this is one of my fav ingredients to use for any kind of situation such as a stretch mark or a burn.

  1. Apply Aloe Vera Gel on your stretch mark and massage gently for 2-5 minutes.
  2. The best way is to let it air dry , but if it feels too thick wash it with lukewarm water.

DO AVOID tanning , because it will make your stretch marks even more visible due to stretch marks area do not get tanned.

At the end , if you want faster results and not in the mood for home remedies – you can always revert to special sessions that focuses on removal of stretch marks such as laser therapy and also a derma roller ( which you can also use at home as it produces collagen and thats what you need) , also focus on your lifestyle and fitness – stretch marks can disappear from a good diet and exercising .

Hey guys,

So excited to be back on my blog as this is where it all started and today I have a super honest post about newest foundations in the market , that I have tried . Here’s a little review of what I think about them!

Beauty Blender

Convenient packaging , amazing shade range and buildable coverage . Here it is – short and quickly understandable . I wasn’t extremely excited when I heard about the new launch of beauty blender’s foundations – but they found a way to get into my heart.
However one thing I must say , I’m not quite sure that the foundation will be suitable for extremely oily skin – it works great on combined as mine and normal skin types. Maybe with a help of their primers launching soon , we can have a chance to work around other skin types too. It’s a wait and see game!

Dior Forever Skin Glow

This foundation is my current FAV! Recently I have switched my system of makeup game , where I go light with my foundation and if I need to cover something – I’ll use a concealer. The foundation gives me medium coverage with an amazing glow to skin and I have noticed that it stays without touch up for quite a long time – at least for 5 hours straight . Worth the value – hands down!

Guerlain L’essentiel Natural Glow

Luxury – first thing that comes to your head , when you see the packaging of the foundation . Shade range looks good as well. I found the foundation a bit too thick in texture , so my suggestion would be to apply as little as possible as it spreads around the skin quickly and blending it fast is another tip as it dries out fast. The brush of the foundation , I did not find very useful so I don’t suggest it – stick to the blender or kabuki brush.

La Mer The Soft Fluid Long Wear

On top of my FAV list as well – the coverage is medium but the more you blend the more it becomes almost as part of your skin , which gives a beautiful finish . I know it is pricey , but if you have that extra $ to spend on your makeup kit , then this foundation should be on your list especially if you have combined/oily skin.

As promised , here are the top foundations that I Have recently tried , let me know which ones I should try or you tried from the list!

See you here in the next few days!!

One of the most requested posts of all times , I guess – so gathering it all up here it is!
I wanted to wait for almost a year after I stopped taking Roaccutane , to be able to say how did all work out for me.

As many of my readers and followers know , I was taking Roaccutane for almost a year ( 8 months) ,as I had a severe acne since my teenage years and being a Beauty Blogger – the first thing I had to take care of is my skin , so I’d be able to film my tutorials more confidently and try out different products for reviews.

While I was intaking the medicine , the only effects I had is extremely dry skin and dry lips – thankfully I didn’t fall into depression but mood swings were there at times(thankfully my work had always kept me super busy and focused on other things instead). As for my dry moments , I made sure that I always hydrated my skin on level 100 and did constant hydra facials .

Once 8 months had passed , I stopped taking the medicine and here where the waiting game began. Now it has been almost a year , and I have just started having small pimples popping there and here at times – my skin went back to combined skin type and my face routine is still hardcore ( including toner , moisturizer , micellar water , constant face masks and facials time to time) . My severe acne is gone , thankfully and my pores had become smaller and barely any acne scars ( but I need to thank my face routine and not only the medicine) . Don’t get me wrong , the medicine works greatly but a lot depends on how you take care of your face especially once you stop intake of it – because this medicine doesn’t prevent you from breaking out again – it only cleans the acne that you already have.

Here are some of the products from my skincare routine , that I have been using for a while after taking Roaccutane:

This post isn’t here to suggest this medicine to anyone , as it is a serious drug and you should definitely consult a proper doctor and decide then , however I know how many people always wonder what happens after you take this medicine , and I personally get asked almost everyday on my social media , so I wanted to put for you in one post my personal experience and suggestions through my experience.

Over the past years this is all what we obsess about! Selfie game must be strong at all times , like literally ALL THE TIME!
I put together few tricks and tips how to be a winner at these  Selfie Games.
Good camera if you are fancy ! You knew this is coming right? I mean nowadays , you don’t have to be a blogger to invest into a good camera – maybe you just want your Instagram to look pretty . So I’m sharing with you one of the BEST cameras for selfies which is SONY A5100 – this has been my camera for the past 3 years , and if you follow me on instagram ( @eljammi) you will see that quality of it is amazing! +the screen switches up , so you basically have a mirror and it will make it easier on posing and getting your best angle.

Price : 449$ to 599$

Got a pimple but good makeup? FaceTune it darling! I mean we are starting with basics over here , and if you still don’t have a Facetune on your phone , then we have got a problem! This AHmazing app makes your skin flawless , whiten your teeth and details something that got too blurry . All celebrity makeup artists have been obsessing over this for a long long time!

Find your angle to get that flawless look! I mean we all got that good side , right? My picture side – that’s how i call it is left side , so I always tend to take a picture from my left angle even on a group picture or at the events – I try to turn my left side of the face. So run to the mirror , if you don’t know your ‘picture side’ yet!

Your camera has to be on the same level as your face , yes trust me! I see a lot of people tend to take a picture from up , or down – I just sit and guess which one is worse. Taking pictures from up or down , may ruin your real face structure look and make you look not so prettaay. Plus if you wanna show off that makeup look that you have been working on for the past hour – best way is to switch camera right at the level of your face.

Last but not least , always give that side eye look and tint your head a bit. I never usually look straight at the camera , I’d look just an inch or two above the camera , that way I don’t look like I’m taking a passport picture and it gives a bit of a spice to that selfie!

Let me know how your selfie game is! And don’t be shy to snap yourself away !
