Summer fashion should be simple & effortless, something that doesn’t require a whole lot of thought and is comfortable on those hot afternoon days and a little white dress is absolutely perfect. I bought this one myself from Zara earlier on in the season and unfortunately it is no longer available, however I did find a few cute alternatives all under $100!
There once was a time many years ago when I wouldn’t have been caught dead in a floral dress, especially in one as girly as this! However in the last year or so I have truly embraced my more feminine side, finding myself drawn towards pinks, pastels and floral prints.
Yellow is having a moment right now, and I have to confess that I am obsessed! Unfortunately I bought this dress last year from Forever 21 but I found 5 super cute & affordable options if you wish to venture in the world of color!
It’s Monday morning, you woke up late because you forgot to set your alarm, you’re running around the house trying to get ready when you realize you have no idea what to wear to work! That is when the matching suit comes into play! Effortless yet chic a power suit requires little to no thinking, just throw on and go! I paired this H&M Checkered Blazer and Skirt set with a simple White T-Shirt and a pair of White Sneakers for a more casual look. You can easily swap them out for a White Button Down and pair of Heels like these one’s HERE & HERE for a more office appropriate look.
Happy Monday everyone! New week, new blog series: Monday Muse. I want to share more of my personal life with all of you and I figured this is how I would do it! A recap of my weekend and everything I am loving at the moment!
I spent this weekend working all day Saturday at my part time job and then spending my Sunday shooting this weeks content with my brother and enjoying some family time out in the backyard
Middle of August, end of Summer. Trying to get the most wear out of my dresses before the sweaters have to come out. Styling this beautiful floral print dress with a pair of simple sneakers for an effortless end of summer outfit.
I am a firm believer in simple is best and less is more when it comes to creating outfits. Pulling together pieces that are comfortable and practical, easy to wear and effortless. When it comes to accessorizing I rarely wear jewelry, but when I do it is usually a stack of delicate rings, a simple watch and a dainty necklace or two like these one’s from Lover’s Tempo.
I paired these delicate necklaces with a simple Camisole from American Eagle and a pair of Cut Off Denim Shorts for an effortless look and since the weather has unexpectedly dropped I added on a beautiful Cashmere Cardigan from Michael Kors to help keep me warm. To complete the outfit I laced up my Espadrilles from Emu Australia and opted for a simple Brown Handbag instead of my usual black one.
It’s the middle of August already and fall is just around the corner! I don’t know about you but I am very excited, not about the colder temperatures and the winter that is sure to follow, but about the fashion. Just like every girl in this universe I get excited about sweater weather, cozy evenings and the changing of leaves, just not pumpkin spice lattes. They aren’t my thing. Although I can’t go full on fall mode yet, I am happy to begin mixing my wardrobe as we transition into a new season.
It’s Wednesday. Half way through the week. You can see the weekend on the horizon. You want to look cute, but you have had to get up early three days in a row and the thought of putting on skinny jeans is tiring enough, so instead I opted for a pair of comfortable 501 jeans from Levi’s. As for the top I chose this Off the Shoulder number from Bluenotes as I thought the long sleeves would keep you warmer in the cooler classrooms but if your school dress code is very tight you could definitely wear an on the shoulder top like this one HERE. As for shoes I chose a pair of Old Skool Vans as I liked how they paired well with my black top, plus they are very affordable! Which is perfect for people on a school budget like me!
One of my favorite stores to shop at back in high school was Brandy Melville. I was only 16 years old when the store first opened here in Edmonton and just like every girl in the surrounding area I went Brandy crazy! To this day I continue to shop there, they have the best basics at a very reasonable price and their casual aesthetic fits my style perfectly.
For Tuesday’s outfit I wanted something cute and causal. I paired this simple Denim Skirt with a beautiful Floral Print Tank Top for a girl-next-door vibe, completing the outfit with a pair of clean White Sneakers.
