Tilling the bathroom wooden floor.

When it comes to tiling your floor it will be always about the decisions you make. It all starts with choosing the right tile, the right grout. Today we have a wide range of tiles, and choosing the right one seems like a hard decision.

When tiling the floor in the bathroom I always like to remove everything that can be removed as the finish will be better. In this case, we have removed the toilet, the sink pedestal and the radiator. By removing them you will have more space to work around, the finish will look better overall.

If you are looking to do it yourself you will need quite a few tools.

Tools needed:

– Tile cutter and an angle grinder with a diamond blade

-Mixing bucket

-Adhesive trowel

-Spirit level

-Rubber mallet

-Mixing drill

-Grout spreader

-Tile plastic spacers

-Small mixing bucket for grout

-Scraper to mix the grout

Preparation Always inspect your floor thoroughly before starting to tile on top an existing floor. If the existing floor is a wooden one, you will need a different type of tile adhesive. If the existing floor is covered with linoleum you will have to inspect the lino as this will affect the tile adhesive but we recommend removing it just to be on the safe side. It is never a good idea to tile over the laminate floor but you can tile over the existing tile floor, however again you need to check the existing tiles for loose tiles and also you will have to take in consideration the thickness resulted after tiling over existing tiles.
