HELP THE BOOK GO INTERNATIONAL

The world of book publishing is very different from how I share my online patterns with all of you. For my books I teamed up with a Dutch publisher and therefore my books are currently only available in Dutch language. They will do their best to get foreign publishers interested to share the books with all of you abroad too. You can help convince foreign publishers! All you need to do is take any crochet book in your native language and look in the index for your local publisher’s contact details. Email them and tell them you would love for them to publish my books in your country too. That’s all they need to know. Thank you for helping!

Crochet this happy Christmas Scarf for all your Flower dolls!

For this free crochet tutorial you need a crochet hook size 2.5mm (US number 1.5), a tapestry needle and some red and white yarn suitable for this size crochet hook. Use the same yarn you used to crochet my Flower Dolls. The Christmas Scarf comes in two sizes: one for the Flower doll Little Series and one for the larger Happy Series.

ch: chain
sc: single crochet
dc: double crochet
[..] x..: repeat the part between brackets x time
(..): the total number of stitches for that row

The Christmas Scarf is crocheted in rows. You make a turning chain after each row. This turning chain does not count. Now start and enjoy!

Christmas Scarf Little Series:
Begin: with red yarn, chain 66
Row 1: 1 sc in the second chain from the hook, 64 sc (total = 65)
Row 2: make 2 turning chains, 65 dc (total = 65)
Row 3: with white yarn, make 1 turning chain, 65 sc (total = 65)
Fasten off and add some tassels at the ends of the scarf.

Christmas Scarf Happy Series:
Begin: with red yarn, chain 86
Row 1: 1 sc in the second chain from the hook, 84 sc (total = 85)
Row 2: make 2 turning chains, 85 dc (total = 85)
Row 3: with white yarn, make 1 turning chain, 85 sc (total = 85)
Fasten off and add some tassels at the ends of the scarf.
Wrap the scarf around the neck of your flower doll and make a nice knot.

Congratulations, your flower dolls are now ready for winter with this happy Christmas Scarf!

Dutch:

Rij 1: 1 vaste in tweede losse vanaf de naald, 64 vasten (totaal = 65)

When big flowers bloom, little flowers shine!

The flower doll Little Series is a new series of cute Little flower dolls. They appear in the Dutch book Bloemenpoppen Haken that is available in Dutch bookstores and online crochet websites. The series was specially made for the book and contains numerous little versions of the famous larger flower dolls. Also several new little flower doll designs were added and a few extras like a butterfly and a bee to make the flower garden complete. A collection of cute and colorful flower dolls that will definitely bring a smile to your face. Several of the Little flower dolls will also be made available through the website over time. Be sure to crochet them all!

Can’t wait or want the Little Series as a book in your language too?

Help the book go international! The world of book publishing is very different from how I normally share my patterns with all of you. For this book I teamed up with a Dutch publisher and therefore this book is currently only available in Dutch language. They will do their best to get foreign publishers interested to share the book with all of you abroad too. You can help convince foreign publishers! All you need to do is take any crochet book in your native language and look in the index for your local publisher’s contact details. Email them and tell them you would love for them to publish this book in your country too. That’s all they need to know. Thank you for helping!
