LNK Fight Night 12 takes place at SemaraH Hotel Lielupe in Jurmala, Latvia tonight, Saturday July 20. The event, presented by Vadim Milov and Eugene Sapronenko, is a mixed-bill featuring boxing, kickboxing and MMA bouts.

In the main event Ismail Iliev (11-1-1, 3 KO) of Russia faces Twaha Kiduku (14-4-1, 7 KO) of Tanzania. The boxing encounter is scheduled for ten rounds at super welterweight.

Also on the night Latvian mixed martial artist Aleksandrs Cizovs goes up against Spanish lightweight Sergio Hidalgo. The pair battles it out for WKN European title.

All tickets to the event have been sold out. The show will stream live on Sportacentrs.

The WKN World Cup 2019 takes place at The Trusts Arena in Auckland from November 28 to 30 November. Presented by Team Player Events, the event marks the first time in the history of New Zealand when Kickboxing and MMA bouts are contested at the world-level on the same event.

The 3-day competition features male and female competitors battling it out in their respective weight classes. 30 WKN World Cup trophies are up for grabs.

The Athlete Registration for the event is open at CombatWorldCup.com. As many as 60 countries are expected to participate in this historic event held on NZ soil.

The final day of the competition will see French star Greg Tony in defense of his World Kickboxing Network Super Heavyweight title against famed Brazilian “Bigfoot” Antonio Silva.

Before that the WKN World Middleweight title in MMA will be on the line when undefeated Kelvin “Crazy Horse” Joseph of New Zealand takes on Brazilian mixed martial artist Roan Carneiro.

Antonio Campoy of Spain and Daniel Ghercioiu of Italy squared off in the main event of “Fight for Glory” held at the Pabellon de Llefia in Badalona, Catalonia on July 13. The World Kickboxing Network returns to Scotland this coming Saturday (July 20) with the “Rise of Champions” event presented by Albert Ross. The fight show takes place at the Fraserburgh Leisure Centre in Fraserburgh featuring a series of bouts with two WKN titles contested on the night.

In the main event Mikey Shields of Scotland takes on Cathal Dunne of Ireland. The pair battles it out for WKN Celtic Lightweight title in Full Contact. The encounter is scheduled for four rounds.

Fight for Glory: International edition by WKN

The World Kickboxing Network returned to Spain this past Saturday (July 13) with the three-fight WKN championship card billed as “Fight for Glory”. The event presented by Jordi Calvet Guillen took place at the Pabellon de Llefia in Badalona, Catalonia, marking the sixth visit of the leading kickboxing federation to the country this year, following a series of MMARCA and Hombres de Honor MMA events.

In the main event Antonio Campoy of Spain faced Daniel Ghercioiu of Italy. The pair battled it out for WKN European Lightweight Kickboxing title.

The scheduled for five rounds championship bout went the distance. After the all-round spectacular kickboxing action the representative of the country-host was pronounced as the winner by unanimous decision.

As a result, Antonio Campoy, who has previously earned and defended WKN Spanish Lightweight title, added a prestigious European Crown to his collection.

Also on the night Jose Quevedo took on his countryman Khyzer Hayat. The pair contested for WKN Spanish Lightweight title in Muay Thai. The encounter also went a five-round distance. The verdict heard the latter taking the win by unanimous decision.

In addition, Genis Salas met his country-fellow Farah Silva in the WKN Spanish Lightweight Kickboxing championship. The pair as well went head to head during five rounds. The decision from judges pronounced Salas as the winner. Yet, he didn’t feel he deserved it and passed the belt to Silva saying he “would rather give the belt away than feeling bad about myself [himself]”.

The three-fight championship card followed the undercard featuring a series of bouts in kickboxing and Muay Thai with local and international competitors participating.

The Night of Super Fight 7

Nicola Canu of Italy and Brandon Vieira of France battled it out for WKN World Super Featherweight title in the main event of “The Night of Super Fight 7”. The event presented by Team Alias took place at the sold out Piazza Sella in Iglesias, Sardinia pitting the two-time European champion up against World Champion under oriental rules.

The competitors went head to head during five rounds of spectacular action. The judges decision went in favor of the guest from France, who added a new belt to his collection. As a result Brandon Vieira became a two-style World Champion kickboxer.

Campoy vs. Ghercioiu for WKN European Lightweight title

Following four championship events that World Kickboxing Network ® presented last weekend in Italy, Portugal, Bulgaria and Argentina, the leading kickboxing federation returns to Spain with a trio of title bouts held this coming Saturday (July 13) at Pabellon de Llefia in Badalona, Catalonia. Organised by Jordi Calvet Guillen, the event billed as “Fight for Glory: WKN International Edition” airs live on Canal+.

In the main event Antonio Campoy of Spain goes up against Daniel Ghercioiu of Italy. The pair battles it out for WKN European Lightweight Kickboxing title. The championship bout is scheduled for five rounds.

The contest follows a pair of national title bouts. In one of the outings Khyzer Hayat takes on his countryman Jose Quevedo in a five-round battle with WKN Spanish Lightweight Muay Thai title on the line. In another encounter, Genis Salas meets Farah Silva in the WKN Spanish Lightweight Kickboxing championship.

The three-fight championship card follows the undercard, which includes a series of kickboxing bouts with local and international competitors.

Argentinian two-style world champion Federico Roma made victorious comeback by knockout in the second round against Darwin Saavedra of Uruguay at Bosch Tour: Estrellas de Acero held last Saturday in Morón, Buenos Aires. The happening marked his return on the winning path after the stoppage defeat suffered against Tenshin Nasukawa in March in Tokyo.

Known as “The Little Big Man” Roma has held WKN World Super Bantamweight titles in two different disciplines, such as oriental rules and Muay Thai. He is scheduled for his next international quest. More information will be announced shortly.

Also at Bosch Tour, Gaston Monroe became a new WKN Argentinian Lightweight Kickboxing champion after he scored a unanimous decision against his country-fellow Dylan Salazar.

The event was one of four championship bouts that World Kickboxing Network presented this past Saturday in Italy, Portugal, Bulgaria and Argentina with WKN World and subordinate titles contested on the night.

Paulo Magalhaes presented a night of international kickboxing on July 6 in Lisbon, Portugal. Billed as SHOWFIGHT 37 the event was headlined by WKN International Super Welterweight title bout between Paulo Gerson of Portugal and Matteo Costa of Italy.

The pair was initially scheduled to face off in a five-round encounter with WKN European title on the line. On the fight day local authority enforced the contest to comprise three rounds only, which resulted in demotion of the championship rank.

Gerson and Costa went head to head during three rounds of action. The verdict heard the representative of the country-host taking the win by a unanimous decision.

Over the years Paulo Magalhaes presented a number of world-class kickboxing events featuring WKN World and subordinate championships. In addition, he has co-produced four series of heavyweight boxing tournament “Bigger’s Better” live on Eurosport.

ShowFight 37 in Lisbon was one of four championship events that World Kickboxing Network presented on July 6 in four different countries, such as Italy, Portugal, Bulgaria and Argentina.

Among the bouts, Brandon Vieira of France became a two-style WKN World Super Featherweight champion when he earned the decision against Nicola Canu at The Night of Super Fight 7 in Iglesias, Sardinia.

Rangel Ivanov of Bulgaria claimed WKN International Welterweight title by knockout in the third round against Stefan Sipos of Slovakia at Savages Kickboxing in Shumen.

In addition, Gaston Monroe defeated his country-fellow Dylan Salazar and earned WKN Argentinian Lightweight title at Bosch Tour “Estrellas de Acero” in Morón, Buenos Aires.
