As senior project manager, Mr. Lavanish is responsible for planning, organizing, and managing resources to bring about the successful completion of Wohlsen’s projects. He has an extensive background in private and government projects, bringing over 22 years of hands on experience in every aspect of project management to his role. Lavanish holds a Bachelor of Science in Financial Management and a Master of Science in Construction Science and Management, both from Clemson University.
Mr. Oakes joins the team as a superintendent. Prior to his career in construction, Oakes served in the United States Navy for 12 years. Since then, he has gained 16 years of experience in construction overseeing numerous projects throughout the Northern Virginia region. He will be responsible for managing and directing all field efforts on his assigned projects including managing the construction process, working with subcontractors, and ensuring safe and timely project completion.
Wohlsen Construction Company is pleased to announce the addition of two new construction professionals to the Delaware Valley team: Marcos Espinoza as MEP Preconstruction Manager and Leonard Petrovich as project manager/superintendent.
Mr. Espinoza began his career in construction 18 years ago as an HVAC designer. He has since worked as a MEP estimator and senior estimator. He now serves Wohlsen as MEP preconstruction manager where he works with the design and construction teams to manage the MEP processes and budgeting during the preconstruction phase. Espinoza holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from University of Pennsylvania and a Master of Business Administration from St. Joseph’s University.
Mr. Petrovich joins Wohlsen as a project manager/carpentry superintendent as part of Wohlsen’s Delaware Valley expanding self-perform group. He began his career in construction as a superintendent and has since owned his own construction company, specializing in millwork and casework for hospitals, medical facilities, apartments/condominiums, and retirement communities. Throughout his 37 years of experience, he has worked on numerous projects throughout MD, DE, PA, VA, DC, and surrounding areas.

As preconstruction manager, Mr. Dalsmier will provide support to the preconstruction and estimating team for budget validation, value management, and other needed cost analysis in a continuous effort to meet the budget needs of Wohlsen’s clients. With 14 years of industry knowledge and vast experience providing preconstruction services on projects throughout the Maryland region, he is a valued addition to the Wohlsen team. Dalsimer graduated from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Building Construction.
Wohlsen Construction Company is pleased to announce the promotion of Manuel Maza to Project Manager/Estimator. This achievement recognizes his demonstrated commitment and leadership in his career at Wohlsen Construction.
Mr. Maza holds a Bachelor of Science in Applied Engineering and Technology Management from Millersville University, where he also performed as a member of the Construction Crew. He began his career with Wohlsen as an estimating assistant and quickly advanced to project engineer, where he has demonstrated significant professional development. His ability to successfully support Wohlsen’s self-perform team throughout the entire construction process has earned him the opportunity to advance to project manager/estimator.
Wohlsen Construction Company is pleased to announce the promotion of BobLiberato to Vice President of Preconstruction and Estimating and welcome three new teammates, Barry Lyons, Project Executive, Rodney Freeman, Preconstruction Manager, and Brad Lefever, Project Manager.
Mr. Liberato began his career in construction 25 years ago as a project engineer and junior estimator and has since worked his way up the ranks. For the past four years he has served Wohlsen as Director of Preconstruction & Estimating where he has successfully coordinated estimating efforts for numerous Wohlsen projects. His proven leadership abilities and strong knowledge of the Pennsylvania market result in the opportunity to further lead these efforts as Vice President of Preconstruction and Estimating. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil and Construction Engineering from Temple University.
Having previously worked as a project manager, estimator, construction manager, and vice president, Mr. Lyons brings 35 years of industry experience to his role as Project Executive. His knowledge of all phases throughout the construction process and proven record overseeing multi-million-dollar projects make him a valued addition to Wohlsen. Lyons holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting with an emphasis in Civil Engineering from The Pennsylvania State University.
Mr. Freeman brings over 30 years of experience to this role, having previously worked in both preconstruction and construction management positions. As Preconstruction Manager, he will utilize his extensive knowledge and diverse project experience to provide direction and support to the preconstruction and estimating team. Freeman holds a Bachelor of Science in Construction Management from Missouri State University and is OSHA 40 certified.
As project manager, Mr. Lefever will be tasked with leading the Wohlsen team on a day-to-day basis to meet the goals of Wohlsen projects. Having 7 years of experience in the construction industry as a project manager, he is well versed in planning, organizing, and managing resources, to bring about successful projects. Lefever holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Construction Management from Philadelphia University, is OSHA 10 and 30-hour certified, and completed FMI Project Management Academy.
Wohlsen Construction Company is pleased to announce the promotion of Brian Laub to Vice President of Construction and Eli Manges to Project Manager and the addition of Bill Nolan as Project Executive.
Brian Laub will have the primary responsibility to oversee all project team members and aspects of the construction process in the newly created position of Vice President of Construction. “Brian has been a key part of our success and we were thrilled to promote him to this important position,” said Michael Funck, Senior Vice President of Wohlsen.
Brian joined Wohlsen in 2004 and has served in a variety of roles including project engineer, project manager, senior project manager, and project executive. Throughout his career he has demonstrated exemplary leadership skills along with his expert knowledge of the construction industry have led to his promotion. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh and a Master of Business Administration from Argosy University.
Eli Manges began his career 10 years ago as a mechanical/construction apprentice and has since worked as a project engineer. His experience and commitment to supporting Wohlsen’s project teams throughout the entire construction process have provided him with significant professional growth. His efforts to advance both his own career and Wohlsen is recognized through his promotion to further support Wohlsen projects as a Project Manager. He holds a Bachelor of Architectural Engineering from Penn State University.
Bill Nolan of Northhampton, PA joins Wohlsen as a Project Executive. He has immediately assumed that role on the Tru Hotel Home2Suites project located in Easton, PA. He will have overall management responsibility for the project team. With three decades of experience in the construction industry, and project experience in a variety of markets including commercial, hospitality, senior living, and infrastructure, Wohlsen is thrilled to add Bill to the team. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering Technology from Spring Garden College and is OSHA 10-hour, 30-hour, and HAZMAT certified.

Through her dedication, commitment, and exceptional management skills Sarah Kneller has earned her promotion to Project Executive. Sarah has over a decade of experience serving many of Wohlsen’s key clients and has played a vital role in the successful completion of numerous projects. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in Architectural Engineering as well as a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering both from Drexel University and a total of 21 years’ experience in the construction industry.
Rob Stauffer has led a vital role in the successful completion of several major projects for Wohlsen. From the onset of his career 11 years ago, starting as an intern, Rob continues his professional growth. He has earned meritorious promotions to project engineer, project manager, and now moving into the senior project manager role. He received his Bachelor of Science in Civil and Construction Engineering Technology from Temple University.
Jake Evans holds a Master of Science in Engineering and Mechanical Engineering/Sustainable Design from Elizabethtown College. He began his career as an intern in the HVAC field and has since worked for several years as a project engineer, where he has demonstrated significant professional development. His ability to successfully support project teams throughout the entire construction process has earned him the opportunity to further support Wohlsen projects as a project manager.

John Quagliariello, PE, brings 33 years of experience in the construction industry and will provide overall management of Wohlsen projects and ensure client expectations are not only met but exceeded. He has worked on projects for the University of Pennsylvania, Thomas Jefferson University, Kearsley Retirement Community, and the Kimmel Center for Performing Arts. Quagliariello holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Drexel University, is certified in Lean Construction, and is a Professional Engineer in the state of Pennsylvania. Outside of work Quagliariello enjoys volunteering throughout his local community.
With over 15 years of construction industry experience, Arthur Snellbaker will manage and direct all efforts in the field, offer solutions, and maintain the quality and safety standards of Wohlsen. Snellbaker is an ANSI/ACDE Certified Commercial Diver and began his career in construction as a Dive Supervisor/ Project Manager for Underwater Construction Corporation. Most recently, he has worked as a superintendent and managed projects for high-profile clients including L’Oreal, Burlington Stores, and Wal-Mart.
