ONLINE SHOPPING | Aramex Global Shopper SA - YouTube

So recently I posted on my Instastories about Aramex Global Shopper - a global shopping enabler. Living in South Africa had some of its challenges when it came to shopping online globally. Every time I saw something I liked I was unable to buy it because There are online stores that still have no option to ship to South Africa directly. What a frustration right? Well, recently I discovered Aramex Global Shopper which has made my life so much easier in terms of online shopping.

How does it work? Say I was buying something online from Dior’s website and Dior does not offer shipping to South Africa, this is where Aramex Global Shopper comes in handy! The service provides you with 23 international addresses to use as your shipping address during your purchase. The great thing is that most online stores offer offer free or really cheap shipping within their Country to the Aramex address, so majority of the time you will only pay for customs duties and shipping!

So I know it probably seems a bit too good to be true so I am going to be walking you through a brief process of how it works.

1. SIGN UP ON ARAMEX GLOBAL SHOPPER APP OR ONLINE

So this is easy, you register online. The Aramex Basic Lifetime Membership is normally R150.00, but they are offering all my followers a discount of R135.00. This means that you will only pay R15.00 if you apply with this promo code: KAMO18

2. BUY YOUR PARCEL ONLINE

You can shop from anywhere in the world, and then select the delivery address closest to your

online retailer. For example, if I am buying Huda Beauty products from Sephora in Dubai, I select all my products and add them to my shopping cart.

3. CHECKOUT AND FILL IN DETAILS

Usually this is the phase where you would fill out your personal details, such as your shipping

address and billing address. When filling out your shipping details, you will refer back to the AGS app or websiteUnder the ‘My Addresses’ tab and look for the Aramex address situated closest to your retailer (In this instance for Sephora, it would be Dubai. Don’t worry, there are examples online (here) of how to fill the shipping section out. Then I fill in my Billing address, which the home address which your debit/credit card is registered.

4. SELECT SHIPPING METHOD

Most online stores will give you the option of a slower free shipping option, or a faster more

expensive option. This choice is up to you as to how fast you would like your parcel to get from the retailer to the Aramex hub.

5. PAY FOR YOUR ITEMS

Here this will proceed as normal, you pay for items.

6. ORDER CONFIRMATION EMAIL

The online retailer, in my case Sephora, will send you an order confirmation number and later, a

shipping confirmation email to notify you that your products have been delivered to the Aramex

hub. It is at this point where you will receive an email from Aramex stating that they have received your parcel. You will receive a waybill number that allows you to track your parcel with Aramex via the app or on the website. Aramex will then ship your items to your door in South Africa.

7. CUSTOMS AND DUTIES

I am glad that this is made a lot easier, because let’s face it, customs is not fun. Aramex will notify you of your customs and duties charges, if there are any, so that you can pay online before they submit your shipment to customs. VAT charges of 15% will be made on the total value of your parcel (the total commodity value and customs duties). Customs and duties charges are stipulated by SARS and depend on the type of commodity and its value.

Now all that is left to do is sit back and wait for your parcel to arrive at your door!

I am so glad that global products are becoming widely accessible to us here in South Africa.

Shop the World, Ship with Aramex Global Shopper.

Festive Season: the gift of home.

Gourmet Popcorn - Marble Shelf - Soap Dish

So many of my friends have achieved such amazing things this year and lots of them will be enjoying their new year or festive season in their new home. The festive season is the perfect time to gift friends with homeware and self-care products. I have always loved buying gifts that are sentimental but also you can also get away with gifting some cute looking gifts for the festive season purely because of the packaging - such as the gourmet popcorn.

I love soap dishes, I tend to always buy myself these soap dishes and mini bowls all the time - they make the perfect jewellery holder accessory in the bedroom, closet and anywhere really. I love that gifts like trays as well, can be used in the kitchen but also in the bedroom or bathroom for fragrances, candles - anything really. Gifting hosts with homeware is the perfect gift because they can keep the gift forever but also marble goes with any and everything so you don’t really have to worry about not buying a gift that doesn’t suit anyone’s style.

The art of gifting during the festive season is about having fun with it but also sentimental gifts make the best and treasured festive season gifts. The great thing is that anyone can fall in love with homeware accessories and decor, so what better way than to gift the gift of home.

Black Friday is among us and if you’re not the one to stand in queues and do your shopping online then welcome to my Black Friday party. I think the greatest thing is taking advantage of sales at the right time.

The best way to shop sales is to put everything in your ‘wishlist’ basket or to write a list. A list? Yup, a list. Every year, I write down all the designer items I want to buy throughout the year. A lot of these items are closet ‘investment’ items which I have had to do some thinking about first then I decided I write it on my list (like you would when you grocery shop) and build my closet from there. So I made a shopping guide of some of my favourite Black Friday deals, some designer, some high-street. A lot of stores are doing up to 65% off, so you might just win with getting your favourite items. However, I did find that you’ll get more out of Black Friday in apparel as opposed to beauty. But you better hurry because things are selling out like crazy. Some the stores, I’ve linked below are stores from NA-KD, ASOS, Fwrd Fashion, The Outnet, Shopbop, Revolve amongst few others. I know Woolworths have 50% off as well so you got great deals there.

Also if you are based in South Africa or based anywhere else, some of these online stores might not shop directly to your country so Aramex Global Shopper is a great way to do international shopping hassle free. They are also offering all of my social media friends up to 90% off the original sign up fee to be a member, so you can take advantage of all the international shopping deals with Aramex Global Shopper by using the code KAMO18 when you sign up on their app or website. This is the best way to take full advantage of International shopping deals.

Summer Time Fine

Let’s be honest for many people like me or some of you, don’t enjoy wearing bright colours during the Summer so what the heck can you or wear? I have never enjoyed shopping for vacay’s as much as I do now. I have found a way to wear colour and neutrals in a way that still looks and feels Summery. The most important thing is to wear what you feel comfortable in and wear fabrics that are light yet flattering. Here is a simple shopping guide of how I would pack or what I would wear in Summer.

COMFORTABLE SHOES

I love espadrilles in Summer because they are so comfortable, airy and light. They are perfect for sort of any hot weather occasion from beach to long touristy days in the city and they look sooo cute with dresses, shorts or trousers.

SWIMWEAR

This is amongst my favourite things to look for in the summer. I love a swimsuit just because it looks super flattering on any body type. But I also love a little detail. I’ve linked loads of cute swimwear you will love on a hot beach day.

DRESSES

I mean, I feel like no-one can go through summer or hot weather without a dress. A dress that is easy to wear is alway the best to consider in hot weather. My favourite thing is being able to wear loads of flowy, loose summer dresses that show a little leg or shoulder or both… your choice.

ACCESSORIES

Lastly accessories - sunnies, straw bags and straw hats are the perfect items for a hot summer day. I’ve linked some of my favourite things to carry during summer to give your outfit that extra oomph.

there’s more to this

Location: London

photographer: Catalina Jocelyn

It’s been a while since I did an outfit blog post. I wanted to switch up the blog a bit and the type of content I write here now. I sort of wanted to write more blog posts that will be more and more useful to you. So I have decided to incorporate a few more things into this blog that will be good not only for me but for you.

One of the greatest blessings for me is being able to buy luxury but sometimes I am looking for that affordable jumper or jacket that I am only planning on wearing once or even because that’s all I can afford at that time. So I decided to incorporate a ‘look for less’ on my blog. For those that love luxury, will still be able to see the links of everything I shop but if you need something similar a bit more affordable I’ll be linking alternatives to clothing items and some accessories. Style is for everyone and so we should start here. I hope you enjoy this new feature :) x

OUTFIT DETAILS:

Jumper: Burberry (similar here)

Pants and Earrings : ZARA (similar here)

Bag: Santoni

New York Fashion Week 2018

Location: New York

I still can’t believe it. It was my first time attending New York Fashion Week and we attended it with Tom Ford. Probably a highlight this year. I feel incredibly blessed.

I can’t wait to do a vlog and show you all the entire experience. I am actually lost for words as I write this post, purely because I am so grateful. The show was incredible, there are so many pieces that many women would love, purely because they are classical and timeless styles that could make any woman feel sexy. I feel like that’s what Tom Ford’s clothing does to you. It really makes you feel sexy. My favourite out of the entire collection were the evening wear dresses - they absolutely incredible, feminine and sexy.

Lastly, the last and most exciting part of the show was having the opportunity to meet Tom Ford himself in person - a fashion lover’s bucket list ticked. I think for me the most important thing about was being able to see the clothes in person after seeing it on the runaway. For me, the re-see of the collection the following day is the most important because you get the chance to touch the fabrics used and see the silhouettes up close or even try one some of the items. That probably has to be my favourite part of fashion week most definitely.

As for my outfit I decided to opt for something simple and classy. I wore a flare tailored trouser with a sleek black shirt, a white lace body underneath and a black and white shoe. For me, it’s all about how clothes make you feel and Tom Ford’s clothing makes me feel sexy regardless of what you wear, I suppose it’s more than the quality, it’s the silhouette’s, tailoring and perfect fit it has. The next day I wore a black tuxedo blazer dress for the dinner. I really love how sexy I felt in this dress, wow - a little bit of sass, a little bit of class and sexyness.

I’ve linked all my Tom Ford items I wore below. x

this I write to you...

Pretty women wonder where my secret lies.
I'm not cute or built to suit a fashion model's size
But when I start to tell them,
They think I'm telling lies.
I say,
It's in the reach of my arms
The span of my hips,
The stride of my step,
The curl of my lips.
I'm a woman
Phenomenally.
Phenomenal woman,
That's me.

I walk into a room
Just as cool as you please,
And to a man,
The fellows stand or
Fall down on their knees.
Then they swarm around me,
A hive of honey bees.
I say,
It's the fire in my eyes,
And the flash of my teeth,
The swing in my waist,
And the joy in my feet.
I'm a woman
Phenomenally.
Phenomenal woman,
That's me.

Men themselves have wondered
What they see in me.
They try so much
But they can't touch
My inner mystery.
When I try to show them
They say they still can't see.
I say,
It's in the arch of my back,
The sun of my smile,
The ride of my breasts,
The grace of my style.
I'm a woman

Phenomenally.
Phenomenal woman,
That's me.

Now you understand
Just why my head's not bowed.
I don't shout or jump about
Or have to talk real loud.
When you see me passing
It ought to make you proud.
I say,
It's in the click of my heels,
The bend of my hair,
the palm of my hand,
The need of my care,
'Cause I'm a woman
Phenomenally.
Phenomenal woman,
That's me.

Phenomenal Woman - Maya Angelou

I get butterflies in my stomach every time I think about women empowerment and uniting us all, because if you didn't know or haven't figured out yet.. You are beautiful, so powerful, so rare, so inspiring and so indispensable. Do you understand how powerful of a woman you are? Do you understand your capabilities? Yes, you. Wow. If you only knew.

A lot of you will know how much I stan for positivity, love and self-care. A lot of you might not know that I pray everyday for the women around the world. I believe that the beauty of a woman can not be fully comprehended by other's and that's why many may not be able to or know how to appreciate us. I strongly believe that your power as woman should be used for many different reasons which can change the world and if not the world, one person's life.

As a young woman I have always wanted to see people doing better for themselves in their life. I am a strong, tough love yet nurturing woman. Ever since I noticed and believed that I had the power to change the world of one person, I wanted to do it over and over again. For me, changing someone's world can be something as small as a hug, a smile or time. For me, every single day I think of ways on how I can better people's lives. I urge you as a woman to find your power, skill and knowledge and put it to good use. We live in a society where are so quick to tear each other down, but why can't we be so quick to build each other up?

It is impossible to change everyone but it is simple to make a small difference in one way or another. There are so many people hurting and in desperate need for help, love or support. You may not be able to give everything or be everything to everyone but I urge you to find your power as a woman to not only have better but be better to others and most importantly for yourself.

Today, I am praying for all of you who are hurting, need peace or strength to get through your hurdles. Always remember you will grow through what you go through. I pray that this month and the years ahead will be more than amazing in every way. May you realise your true potential and may you continue to flourish. Today, we celebrate us. May we continue to grow and be an example to those looking for guidance.

Sending much love!

it's deeper than the ocean.

Location: London

photographer: Catalina Jocelyn

So I thought it was only right to write a blog post on my recent collaboration with La Mer on Blue Heart. I know a lot of you might not understand why and what this means to me. But I wanted to share a special story that would hopefully inspire or move you in different ways. So here it goes...

A year after my biological father passed away years ago I went through a lot of sadness because I think for anyone that looses someone special in their life will know that no matter how many years go by it still hurts, it gets easier over time to bear the pain but you will always miss them. How does this have a connection with the sea? Well, a year after my only gran passed away, so it was tough. But what I decided to do, is write a letter to my dad and gran. I decided to write a letter that expressed how much I love them and how much they mean to me and that this letter would be my final good-bye to them. When I finished the letter I went to the sea with my mom and I released the letter that I had written in my heart at the sea. I remember how much relief I felt after that... the point of my story, is simply this... water is healing. We use water everyday to refresh and rejuvenate. When we feel weak, we take a bath or shower to help us relax, when we feel dehydrated we drink water to replenish us and so this means a lot. If you are going through a tough time or want to get closure but don't know how to, I would advise you to do what I did - it might do a little justice and help you release. Every single I time I go to the sea, I think about memories of those so dear to me. I remember some of the most important times of my life. There is soooo much peace in the beautiful ocean God created for us. Let us take care... of not only of ourselves but the beauty and amazing wonders of the earth. I leave this beautiful poem with you....

I have loved hours at sea, gray cities,
The fragile secret of a flower,
Music, the making of a poem
That gave me heaven for an hour;

First stars above a snowy hill,
Voices of people kindly and wise,
And the great look of love, long hidden,
Found at last in meeting eyes.

I have loved much and been loved deeply --
Oh when my spirit's fire burns low,
Leave me the darkness and the stillness,
I shall be tired and glad to go.

I Have Loved Hours At Sea

jeans you'll live in.

Le't get 'straight' to the point.

Location: London

photographer: Catalina Jocelyn

So many of you have been asking me about my jeans where I get them, so I thought it's only right to do a blog post on it showing you some of my jeans at the moment, that love curves! Right now, straight, vintage, boyfriend jeans are in. I am obsessed with a cute straight cut jeans, with heels and a shirt and belt. I'm currently really into vintage looking jeans, just love the fit and how cute they look on with different items.

So I found a few of my fav straight cut jeans that I'm loving right now. Some these jeans I have. Generally, if you have curves, the best jeans to wear are jeans that are fitted or straight fitted jeans to elongate your legs. I love jeans that are high-waisted because it creates a cute feminine silhouette but it also proportions your body really well. What I tend to do when I buy jeans... if they are a skinny jean with a stretch I usually wear 1-2 sizes smaller for a real fitted look. I love skinny jeans to look tight. lol. But also jeans tend to stretch a bit so you want something that still fits after loads of washes. If the fabric is a bit more tough, like in the straight cut jeans, I usually wear a size up because these jeans tend to shrink a bit after a few washes. With the straight cut I would also advise to wear them slightly loose with a fitted belt for a different effect, but that's just me.

Also, right now is the perfect time to look for jeans because there are loads of sales. I've linked a whole bunch of my fav jeans right now, and some of them that are in my closet right now and I'm loving!  I've also linked a range of different prices, because some jeans are good quality at a low price and you could get just as much wear in them, then I've linked investment jeans because these jeans will never leave your closet. Let me know how you get on.

Happy Jean shopping ! :)

we're obsessing over right now!

MANGO Embossed Earrings // KENNETH JAY LANE Gold-tone Clip earrings // PICHULIK Abalone Earrings // RELIQUIA Spiral Hoop Earrings // OSCAR DE LA RENTA Gold-plated Earrings // KENNETH JAY LANE Gold-tone clip earrings

Gold statement earrings are the thing right now, and I think I'm beyond obsessed. A lot of you will know that I love minimalistic style, but I think gold earrings are a simple and bold way to elevate your style to another level in a simple way. I love a statement earring when wearing a simple all black outfit or with a white tee and a blazer. It's literally adds another beautiful element to styling your outfit.
