I remember seeing this pop up in the “New” section a couple months ago (I stalk their new arrivals like a crazy person) and I knew I had to have it. BUT, I stalled and before I knew it, it was sold out. NOOOOOOOOOO! Anyway, I got on their waitlist to be notified when it came back in stock and I am so glad I did because this top is perfect for summer. One recommendation I would make for wearing this top out and about, make sure you pair it with high waisted jeans. It’s very fitted on the bottom and I think it’s most flattering tucked into a pair of jeans or pants. Also, I chose not to wear a bra with this top and I felt totally supported by the boning. Let’s just call it the perfect summer top. Cool? Cool.

The fresh crisp feel of white just SCREAMS effortless summer to me and I love that. This dress was actually purchased for my Paris trip months ago but it was too cold to wear it when we were there so now that we are in summer, it is literally the perfect SF summer dress. Long sleeves, breathable cotton, and room to hide those extra meals out. Even though this dress is not body hugging, I actually find it extremely flattering. Ganni’s pieces just have a way gracing your body without constricting you and I always appreciate that. If you are going to splurge a bit on a white dress, I highly recommend splurging on this one. I can almooooost guarantee that you will love it as much as I do!

Recently, one of my readers sent me an interesting message about how she feels that my content has become unrelatable because of my love of designer brands. I’m not going to lie, this took me by surprise. Ever since I started this blog, I have always prided myself on being 100% true to who I am and loving certain designers has always been a part of it. If you have been following me for awhile, I have always been in love with designer Ulla Johnson and she has always been a source of inspiration for me in this blog. Are her pieces more expensive than ASOS? Yep! Are her pieces impeccably made? Yes! Are her designs unique and unlike a lot of what is out there. 100%! I completely understand that not everyone can buy designer items. In fact, I actually have to stick to a pretty strict budget (thanks Jonny) so buying full price Ulla Johnson pieces is not always a reality for me and THAT’S OKAY! I am actually really good at waiting to find things that I love on sale so that I can make them work with my budget. Take this top for example. I waited until it went on sale and when I bought it, I was so excited to wear it. A few days later, I noticed that it went further on sale and guess what I did? I got a price adjustment. MORE MONEY SAVED! I understand that buying designer is not always a reality for people but in the spirit of staying true to who I am and what I love, I am going to continue to wear Ulla Johnson and all the other designers I love because that’s just who I am. I hope that can resonate with you but I also know that you follow me for inspiration, maybe I can still inspire you to wear outside your comfort zone and try something new!

Most of you already know how much I love a good blazer (Anine Bing ones are becoming my absolute favorite in the blazer world) but right now, I can’t seem to get enough of the blazer and bike shorts combo. I tried this very different for me look back in September at NYFW and I really loved how effortless and comfortable this look was. A lot of people that I’ve talked to about this outfit have all mentioned that they don’t think they can pull off this look but, friends, if I can pull it off, so can you! I was actually really surprised how fun it was to wear and it felt incredibly chic to wear this around the streets of SF. Plus, this specific pair of bike shorts suck everything in, which makes me feel more confident when worn out and about! I have been now been researching oversized sweatshirts to pair with my new found bike shorts obsession because I am preparing myself to wear them quite a bit this summer. I think my 1995 young bike shorts obsessed child self would be very pleased with this trend making it’s way back around.

THE POST THAT EVERYONE HAS BEEN WAITING FOR! Well, maybe not everyone, but quite a few people have reached out asking when I would sharing my Coolsculpting results with all of you. Well, the wait is over my friends. I present to you, my Coolsculpting results! I know most of you will probably just scan past my words to get to the before and after photos, I mean, that’s really what everyone wants, but I also wanted to share with you how I have personally felt post-treatment now that my results are showing. If you read my first blog post on my introduction to my Coolsculpting experience with the Tri-Valley Plastic Surgery team (they are awesome!), then you know that results can take 3-5 months to fully show. I wanted to wait until the 5 month mark to share my results with you so that we could all see the optimum differences. Coolsculpting is not a weight loss treatment. In fact, my Coolsculpting professionals would recommend this treatment to those that have an active lifestyle and healthy diet because Coolsculpting is really supposed to work as a help to “problem areas.” For me, my problem area has always been my lower abdomen. No matter how often I work out (you guys know me, I work out frequently and HARD), my lower tummy area never seemed to tone in the way that I wanted it to. I was told Coolsculpting could help not only flatten this area but make it tighter overall. I knew that I would still have a tummy as Coolsculpting won’t remove a problem area, but just work toward freezing the fat in that one particular area so that it can flatten and you won’t continue to gain weight in that one area. I was excited to see what Coolsculpting could do for a problem area that I struggle with and here were are. After five months since my second Coolsculpting treatment, I can honestly say that I see an improvement post treatment. Not only do I feel like my lower tummy is flatter in the after photos, but my jeans and pants fit better in that area as well! That was one of the things I noticed first. I found that my pants were less tight in the lower tummy area and that jeans seemed to fit better overall. I was thrilled with this as this has always been an issue for me, especially when sitting down in tight jeans. Coolscultping results are meant to be subtle and that’s exactly how I would describe my results. Even though it’s a subtle change, I really notice and feel it because I have been living in my body for 33 years. Someone on the street may not notice the differences but I really do. Plus, this Coolsculpting journey took place during my struggles coming off of birth control. I had gained weight during that time but honestly, Coolsculpting helped me regain my confidence as my body began to even out again. Now the question that I get quite often, “Is Coolsculpting worth it?” For me, I felt like these results were helpful for me but others might feel like the treatment might not reveal as “drastic” results/changes as they would want. Remember, Coolsculpting is all about the subtle results and will not drastically change your body. However, if you maintain a healthy lifestyle and want to address some problem areas that seem to be out of your control, I would recommend talking to a professional that could assess your body to see if it’s a candidate for Coolsculpting. Before After Before After Before After A huge thank you to the Tri-Valley Plastic surgery team for gifting this Coolsculpting service. All thoughts an opinions are my own.

BUT I feel like the pink things I own just kind of sit in my closet even though I love them. Why is that? It’s such a weird thing to me. HOWEVER, I saw these pants right before I left for Paris and I made Jonny drive me downtown to Zara to buy them (thank you, Jonny!). I used to shy away from pants at Zara because I never felt like the fit was great for girls with a butt and thighs, but I have to say, I have bought three pairs of pants from Zara this season and they all fit shockingly well and I am HERE FOR IT. Color is all the rage this season and I am finding that I have been incorporating it way more into my wardrobe than seasons past. I tend to be more of a neutrals girl, especially in summer, and even though I will still wear my fair share of neutrals (don’t you worry!), I am finding it fun to add splashes of statement colors here and there. Even during our Paris trip, I found that most of my outfits were centered around a fun color, like yellow, pink, and blue. I felt refreshed and inspired by wearing more statement color outfits and I think I’m going to continue that right into summer. When we went to Paris, we had a huge list of places that we wanted to see and places where we wanted to eat. Cafe du Flore was OF COURSE one of these places because it’s pretty popular. I have to say, I try to stay away from touristy places when I travel, but Cafe du Flore exceeded my expectations and I thought it was a really fun place to sit and hang out while we rested our hard working walking feet. I would highly recommend stopping by if you are in Paris and don’t forget to get a fun photo-op right out in front!

We grew up always playing together, having each other’s backs, and genuinely loving each other as both friends and sisters. From an early age, our parents always stressed how important it was to have a great relationship with each other and it really stuck. Ariana and I talk everyday, we support each other, and we still love spending time together after all these years. Of course, we fight but we always find our way back to each other. We are only 18 months apart so we have always been close in age, which made our relationship even stronger. Over the past year or so, Ariana and I have been making a real effort to travel more together. Once siblings get older and start their own lives, it can be more difficult to find the time to have major quality time together and we miss each other. I mean, we shared a room forever and then even shared a queen bed for awhile, too. We just like being together! We started taking these sister trips to spend lots of time together and experience new things as sisters. Last year, we went to New York and Quebec. In years past, we have traveled to Israel together and made multiple trips to New York as well. This year, we went to Paris (probably the most epic Sister Trip yet) and we are trying to plan some things for summer as well. It’s so fun to travel together because, as much as I love traveling with Jonny, having a girl trip to do fun girly things is always a treat. Plus, Ariana and I travel really well together. It’s so fun to be together and we really bring out the goofiness in each other, which is fun for both of us. Also, trips just allow so much time for bonding. It was so nice to have so much time to just BE with each other. We had so many amazing experiences in Paris and we talk everyday about how much we miss being in Paris but also how much we miss being TOGETHER in Paris. On the way home, Ariana even took care of me when I was really sick with some sort of virus and throwing up all over the plane. Not once did she make me feel bad (or dry heave when she was double bagging my barf) and she was a real champ. She rubbed my back, stayed awake to make sure I was okay, gave me her neck pillow to help me rest, and negotiated terms with the flight staff to make sure I had the most comfortable flight possible. She was the real MVP of our trip home and I was so thankful that she was there with me (thanks, Ar!) because that trip home was hell. The only thing that made it better was being with Ariana. Cannot wait for our next Sister Trip!!!!! Love you, Ar!

When we booked our trip to Paris, Ariana and I did not really even think about all the spring flowers that would be blooming all over the city. Even though it was still pretty cold during our stay, we loved walking around and seeing the blossoms all over the city. It was stunning and really unlike anything I have seen before. Paris springtime blooms are definitely quite popular as there were always people (both locals and tourists) snapping pictures of the beautiful trees everywhere we went. However, the stunning pink blossom trees near the Eiffel Tower and the famous carousels were my favorites. They were beautiful enough to make my jaw drop and never want to leave them, especially since I debuted my new floral Sezane dress (bought in Paris!) in their presence for our shoot. Nothing is easier to me than a pretty button up dress. It’s easy to get in and out of, usually very comfortable to wear, and the floral print on this one is particularly stunning. Wearing florals in spring time is a big DUH but I knew I had to take this floral dress home with me during our visit to the original Parisian Sezane shop. Plus, we waited in a long line to get in so I had to buy something, right?!

I will answer that with a big fat NO because for me, gingham is print that screams spring to me the most. Okay, well florals do as well but, still. I picked up this pair of gingham pants in Paris and at first, I wasn’t sure if they were going to fit me right but right when I put them on, I was in love. I have never owned gingham pants before and the idea of wearing these in the warmer months was really exciting to me because they are super versatile. Because this specific pair of gingham pants are black and white, I love the idea of pairing them with my favorite colors all spring and summer long. Because they are lightweight cotton, they are incredibly easy to wear. It honestly feels like you’re wearing a chic pair of PJ pants that somehow make your butt look incredible. WINNING.

So frustrating! However, now I have all my Paris outfits categorized and linked for you so that you can shop until you drop. I have to say, I was really stressed over my Paris looks but honestly, I am so happy with how everything turned out. I felt great in my clothes every day and would not trade one outfit! Don’t you just love when that happens?!
