Why do we do what we do? What keeps our team excited to head out every weekend to photograph weddings? We think you’ll like the answer.
When your eyes meet your fiance’s as you walk down the aisle, what will they say to you? How much emotion; how much love, and tenderness do they communicate in that instant? Everything else fades away as you experience the magic of that once-in-a-lifetime moment. And in a heartbeat it’s passed. Moments like these are so precious, but also so fleeting.
When your most special relationships are on display, waiting to be captured, we will be there. This is where we thrive. Once-in-a-lifetime moments can be made timeless. This is what makes photography so valuable to you, and so rewarding for us.
At Union Eleven we believe wedding photography should be authentic. It should capture the essence of your day; of who you are as a couple and of what you’re feeling. The smiles, the tears, the laughter, and the moments that you may have missed all come together to tell your story. Romance and intimacy; excitement and celebration. You can see them in a photo. You can feel them again.
As storytellers, we need to make a connection with you. We need to see the day through your eyes. We’ve been to 500 weddings, but never to yours. Yours is unique. Yours is special. What are the things you love and admire most about your partner? Who will be at your wedding, and what do they mean to you? How can we take a photograph that captures this? We relish that challenge.
On your wedding day you will be beautiful. Inside and out. You will shine, and the world will see it. Happiness will be written all over your face for your partner, your friends and your family to enjoy. We know you aren’t simply a bride that day. You’re also a daughter, a sister, and a best friend. Your wedding photos will be priceless, but not just to you, to others as well.
When people see your wedding photos, we want them to feel something - a taste of what you felt. We want them to share in your excitement, and your joy. When your children see them, imagine the smiles on their faces as they see the smile on yours.
Photography is a timeless thing, and moments are just that…moments, but they’re begging to be captured.
We love it when our wedding clients come back to our studio with a baby in tow! It’s so awesome to be able to capture the bond between parents and their new baby. These moments are fleeting, and can make for some of the most meaningful photos.
May is officially the start of wedding season for us here at Union Eleven, so there was no better place to begin than Stonefields Estate with Emily and Brett. Thanks guys, for trusting us on your big day!
It’s always great working with these wonderful vendors:

Heather works with X-rays and John programs missiles. They’re pretty badass together. Later this year we’re photographing their epic wedding at Temple’s Sugarbush, but for now we simply took a stroll through the arboretum with their dog, Oscar.
These two never cease to bring a smile to each other’s faces.
Catherine and Liam braved a sunny, but super-windy day a couple weeks ago for their engagement shoot. We met at the studio and then headed off into the Glebe and Centre Town to see what we could find. We ended up at some really interesting locations with both soft and dramatic light.
They’re an amazing couple and we can’t wait for their Stonefields wedding next year!
We are super excited to be documenting Emily and Brett’s wedding at Stonefields Estate this coming May. Here are a few photos from their engagement shoot this past fall up at Mackenzie King Estate in Gatineau Park.
In a decade of photographing engagement shoots, we’ve never shot in snow like this before! It was pretty warm, and the snowflakes were clumping together in massive slushy chunks. We got soaked, but it was totally worth it! When I spoke with David before the shoot he mentioned how much Courtney loves snow. It’s almost like this snow storm was destined to happen :)
I’ve got to give some serious credit to these two. They trekked through some seriously deep snow for some of these photos!
Jacqueline and Jeff were all smiles, even when they had to bare the -40 degree weather to make the portrait above. The wedding day started off at the Hôtel Quintessence where Jacqueline and Jeff got ready. Then they headed off to the Chapelle Saint-Bernard, the cutest little church that had beautiful light streaking throughout. After Jacqueline and Jeff said their I dos, all of the guests rode the gondola to the Mont Tremblant summit where they enjoyed a wonderful reception filled with so many great moments.
Stephanie and Brett had a beautiful wedding at the Evermore Weddings and Events in Almonte Ontario. We first met Stephanie when she was a bridesmaid at her brother Jeff’s wedding. When we get to photograph another siblings wedding it makes it extra special for us, it’s so nice to be surrounded by so many familiar faces.
We started the day off in the historic town of Almonte where Stephanie and Brett did a first look. Then we headed off to Evermore to enjoy a beautiful ceremony and reception.
