Chateaubriand is typically a large center cut filet mignon, roasted and served with potatoes and chateaubriand sauce (shallots, beef stock, white wine, tarragon, and butter). Rail and River will be putting their own twist on it by trying a truffle demi glaze with a lobster mash instead!

Vancouver Giants Game
On February 15th the Vancouver Giants are taking on the Spokane Chiefs in the “RE/MAX Presents: WHL Suits Up with Don Cherry to Promote Organ Donation”. During this special game, both teams will suit up in unique Don Cherry inspired uniforms that will be auctioned off post-game with 100% of proceeds going to the Kidney Foundation of Canada. Fort Night Improv
Saturday February 16th, Fort Night Improv will be back at the Bez Arts Hub for back-to-back 90-minute shows with a 15 minute intermission! This Valentine’s Edition of the show will be spontaneous, and fun hosted by one of the players, as the other players are challenged in a series of different improv scenes and games and characters all based on YOUR suggestions. James Kennedy Elementary Annual Christmas Market
When: November 24 – 9:30am-3pm

Celebrate in the Township of Langley with live music, family-friendly activities such as face painting and mini golf. Food truck vendors and a mini farmers market will also be in attendance!
The event will be from 11am – 6pm
From 5:30-8pm, come out to the winery for a prawn paella dinner on the patio. Dinner will be serenaded by Latin musical sensation Grupo Asi Somos. Guests will receive a complimentary glass of bubbly upon arrival and everyone is welcome to buy a bottle of wine to enjoy on the patio! Tickets are $68 per person
You’ve probably heard the names or have seen the labels on the bottles, Festina Lente, Fraser Valley Cider, the list goes on. Now it’s time to put a taste to the name! However, this isn’t your regular pub-crawl.
The Langley Libations Tour is as good as the name suggests. A four-stop tour that celebrates the diversity and local craftsmanship of craft beer, spirits, wine and cider. Not only will you taste a little bit of each, but included in the tour are food pairings and the sounds of live musicians to serenade your afternoon.
To participate, find your way to the Tour’s website, get yourself and your friends tickets ($10 each) and jump in a car on Sunday, June 24th from 1 pm 6 pm. Each stop of the way, you’ll get a passport stamped, which you can enter for a grand prize draw.
For designated drivers, there is also some satisfaction and a reward for driving your friends while they “experience” the tour. DD’s can also taste their own non-alcoholic cocktails, and are entered in their own draw.

Spirits to lift up your spirits! Crafted by a dream-team couple in Northern Langley. This stop on the tour you’ll find yourself surrounded by corn and potato fields as you sample house-made drinks and listen to live music on the stage outside.
