Right now Prez Trump is locked in a rhetorical battle with a group of Congresswomen who are part of the Blue Wave that also swept a local politico into office despite the fact she is NOT part of their ranks . . .

First, the more important background . . .

CNN: Trump vs. 'the Squad' makes watershed moment in racial politics

Fox News: Extra protection sought for certain lawmakers after Trump's comments about 'squad'

TPM: Trump Is Wondering Why Dems Don’t ‘Rebuke’ Squad For ‘Shouting Of The F…Word’

CBS: Trump's 2020 campaign weapon: Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and "the squad"

Now . . .

A TOP ECHELON Kansas City Insider asks . . .

SHOULD KANSAS REP. SHARICE DAVIDS JOIN "THE SQUAD" OR CONTINUE HER LOW-KEY ESTABLISHMENT DEMOCRATIC PARTY STRATEGY?!?!

Here's the word . . .

"Rep. Sharice Davids is smart to stay far away from The Squad. In fact,AOC's Chief of Staff criticizing her might have been a blessing in disguise or a very cleaver precursor to this debate. JoCo Democrats and the Republicans she won over are way too timid to get into this kind of fight that is one of the worst we've seen of The President's 1st term. There might be a few left-wing progressives out there who are disappointed that Rep. Davids isn't more vocal in her criticism of the President Trump but her caution is well-advised as her colleagues have clearly incited an onslaught of debate."

Now, we realize that some alt-right pundits might try to paint Rep. Sharice Davids with the same brush as AOC but that's simply not accurate. The reality is that the chief difference between Rep. Sharice and her moderate Republican predecessor has been her branding, personality and the local media love affair with the political noob. Her voting and public statements have been middle-of-the-road DNC pablum with a whole lot of help from local softball question MSM coverage.

TKC could only hope for the Rep. Sharice Davids to show a bit of initiative and fulfill the promises of so many of her progressive supporters and join forces with The Squad.

Instead, even her fiercest critics lament that her politics are far more insipid and middle-of-the-road than the current firestorm captivating political watchers.

TKC NOTE . . . Reference only to note our disdain for corporate Democrats, we use/quote the term "Rez" with all due respect and given that fact that those of us with Mexican heritage belong to the largest indigenous tribe of them all -- With Chicanos being the most captivating of the group given that Latinx was a term invented by some white-lady at an East Coast liberal arts college . . . But I digress . . .
