Valid

Three years ago, Manchester United appointed José Mourinho which prompted the Sports Mirror to suggest that Mourinho might be the solution to United’s problems, given how he led Porto and Inter to Champions League titles. In the three years prior to signing the mercurial manager, the Red Devils finished 7th, 4th, and 5th. United finished 6th in the 2016/17 season, Mourinho’s first, before finishing 2nd last season. After that 2nd place finish, hopes were high at Old Trafford coming into this season.

But 17 matches later, Mourinho was sacked. At that time United had as many wins (7) as losses (7), the last one coming against rivals Liverpool at Anfield. Former United forward Ole Gunnar Solskjaer took over as caretaker manager, and led the Red Devils to 10 wins in their next 12 matches. With an impressive run, hopes were high for a top-four finish and a Champions League berth secured for next season.

Then it all went downhill, with United losing 4 of their last 7 games coming into their away match against already relegated Huddersfield. United still had an outside chance of qualifying for the Champions League, as pointed out by CNN in its recap of the match. A 1-1 draw, however, dashed those hopes. That’s in spite of bwin Premier League noting that Huddersfield had lost 8 straight Premier League matches before the game with United. It was a crushing blow, one that encapsulated the Red Devils’ late-season freefall. This now begs the question: What went wrong for United?

Mourinho wasn’t the solution

Mourinho’s exacting attitude and sharp tongue didn’t go down too well at Old Trafford. His relationships with Paul Pogba, Luke Shaw, and Anthony Martial, among others, were strained, causing friction within the squad. The discontent, naturally, showed in games. Pogba looked nothing like the rising star he was at Juventus, while Shaw and Martial couldn’t quite play to their potential. Solskjaer may have remedied that situation as best he could, but the damage had been done.

Team-wide regression

Pogba showed flashes of brilliance, especially when Solskjaer was named manager, but his performances were largely uninspiring this season. Romelu Lukaku was sensational last year but mostly average this season. Even David de Gea — one of the world’s best goalkeepers — became error-prone during the last couple of months, costing United goals against Arsenal, Everton, Barcelona, Manchester City and Chelsea. Whether it was down to fitness, bruised egos, shattered confidence, or the law of averages, many of the players United should be able to count on just didn’t match expectations this season.

Not good enough

Even Solskjaer admitted that United aren’t talented enough. Pogba, Lukaku, and De Gea are top talent; outside of that trio, however, the talent level drops at least a notch or two. Marcus Rashford, Jesse Lingard, and Anthony Martial are exciting players, but none of those would force themselves into, Liverpool or City’s first XI. Pogba, Lukaku, and De Gea playing to their full potential could have masked that lack of talent. Moreover, signings like Pogba, Shaw, Martial, Juan Mata, and Alexis Sanchez would, in most cases, be considered coups. In United’s case, those signings haven’t exactly worked out as hoped.

Ole Solskjaer: You will not see some players play for United again - YouTube

United need an entire overhaul, and that challenge falls squarely on Solskjaer’s shoulders. He’ll have to use the summer transfer window as a chance to bring in championship-calibre talent and decide on the fate of the likes of Pogba, Shaw, Lukaku, De Gea and Martial — all of whom are reportedly disillusioned with life in Manchester. More importantly, he’ll have to decide whether they have the right character for the team. Solskjaer used the word “character” when describing his ideal summer signings. But what United need the most, is for Solskjaer to bring back their winning culture, which exiting Old Trafford the same time as Sir Alex Ferguson did. This might necessitate a complete rebuilding project from the ground up, even if it means making up the numbers next season with some of the academy’s talented, young hopefuls.

Ananya Kamboj will participate for the third time in the International Children’s Social Programme Football for Friendship. The programme is run by Gazprom PJSC, the official partner of the UEFA Champions League, and its final events will take place in Madrid from May 28 to June 2. The 14-year-old school girl from India has gained wide recognition at the project thanks to her participatory citizenship, journalist professionalism, and diverse range of educational activities in her home country.

“I have always believed that it is imperative to pay particular attention to both sport and cultural education of children. That is why Nine Values promoted by Football for Friendship programme are so important – they encourage children to develop both on a football field and in life” Ananya notes.

F4F Heroes: 14-year-old Ananya Kamboj, BRICS Good Will Ambassador to participate in 2019 Football for Friendship

The Nine Values of the F4F programme are friendship, equality, fairness, health, peace, devotion, victory, traditions, and honour. Every year at the Nine Values School are organized lessons for all the participants of the programme. In 2019, the Brazil national football team has received the main award of the project the Nine Values Cup. The team was deemed as the most socially responsible from the 32 national football teams that took part in the 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia.

Many children launch their own social projects when they come back home. Ananya Kamboj wrote a book “My Journey from Mohali to St. Petersburg” in which she told about the Nine Values of the programme and her impressions from communicating with peers at the project.

“Football for Friendship has transformed my life. Two years ago, I couldn’t have imagined that I would have so many friends from all over the world. I simply liked journalism and football. But I entered a marvelous world that gives children from different countries so many opportunities to find themselves, tell their stories, share their happiness with others,” Ananya Kamboj shared her thoughts on the programme.

After participating in F4F in 2018, Ananya became a Good Will Ambassador of BRICS countries. She participated in various large projects in India, including Lean in India Summit and She’s Mercedes. The Young Journalist regularly visits schools in Deli where she tells the students about Football for Friendship and the Nine Values.

In 2019, for the first time in the history of the project, Ananya Kamboj has received the invitation to speak on behalf of all the Young Ambassadors of the world at the 2019 Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) Youth Forum at the UN Headquarters.

In May, Ananya will take part in the International Children’s Social Programme Football for Friendship for the third time. She will give a speech at the International Football for Friendship Forum on May 30, 2019, on the third day of the final events of the programme in Madrid.

There is nothing worse than going to a match and feeling out of place. We know that when you are on the terraces you want to fit in, look good and feel comfortable. So, today, we have decided to do a review of the biggest terracewear trends for the summer.

Polo shirts

It is clear from the fact that most of the big retail retailers like jacamo.co.uk are stocking a lot more polo shirts that they are going to be back in fashion for 2019.

Jacamo

Look out for Adidas, Umbro and Puma polo shirts. This year, they are all making longer lengths a cut that works particularly well for sports fans. Later in the season, when the weather starts to change you will be glad that you bought this particular cut. The fact that these shirts hang lower will stop the cold wind getting into your clothing via the gap between your trousers and top. Later in the year, you will also be able to buy long-sleeved polo shirts.

Matching two-piece tracksuits

Mid-90s fashion has had a big impact on menswear, this year. So, tracksuits are very much on trend. Some of the big 90s brands like Kappa are set to make something of a comeback.

The connection between streetwear and terracewear is always strong. So, you can expect to see a lot of football fans wearing matching two-piece tracksuits.

If an all-in-one look is not for you, just swap the bottoms for a pair of straight-cut jeans instead. These look good when worn with a polo shirt and tracksuit top.

2019 terrace footwear options

Trainers and sneakers are still set to be the footwear of choice for most football fans. They are practical, as much as anything else. Once again, retro styles are the biggest trend.

It is the 90s most footwear designers have turned to for inspiration. The Fila Disruptor is probably the sneakers to go for. But, there is also a good selection of retro styled Nike Air Max trainers available. If you want something that looks and feels more like a pair of shoes, consider buying a pair of Converse Chuck 70s.

Terracewear jacket options

During the first month of the season, you are not likely to need a jacket. But, by September this item of clothing becomes essential terracewear. At that point in the year, rain is a distinct possibility and the weather is usually starting to get colder. So, you need a good jacket to wear to matches.

Puffer jackets with a secure inner pocket are always a good choice. But, if you have chosen to go with the retro look, they are not really going to work for you. A bomber jacket will be a much better option. They never completely go out of fashion and look particularly good when worn with jeans and sneakers. It is a good idea to take the time to waterproof any jacket you are planning to wear to matches. You can find out how, here.

Ok, so that is it for our roundup of terracewear fashion for 2019. Remember that you can stay up to date with all of the latest football news simply by clicking this link.

Real Madrid and Sevilla are two of the biggest clubs in Spanish football and their meetings have come to be one of the most historic and highly-anticipated fixture of the LaLiga Santander season. So many great names have passed through these teams over the years; here are five who have strutted their stuff in the iconic white shirts of both these sides this century.

Real Madrid vs Sevilla FC

Sergio Ramos –  The Real Madrid captain is, of course, one of the most famous players to have worn both white jerseys, if not the most famous. The defender grew up in Camas, a town on the outskirts of Seville and came through the Andalusian club’s academy before debuting for the senior side at just 17 years of age. He only actually spent one full season in the first-team squad at Sevilla before earning a high-profile transfer to Real Madrid in the summer of 2005, becoming the most expensive Spanish defender of all time. Currently in his 14th season with the capital city side, Ramos has enjoyed legendary success at the Bernabeu as club captain and leader in every sense.

Pablo Sarabia –Sarabia took the same road as Sergio Ramos, just in the opposite direction. The Madrid native came through Real Madrid’s academy and was always a bright prospect, representing Spain at every youth level. However, he only ever made one appearance for Los Blancos’ senior side, coming on as a substitute for Cristiano Ronaldo in a Champions League game against Auxerre in 2010. Sarabia left his lifelong club in the summer of 2011 to join Getafe in southern Madrid and, five seasons later, was signed by Sevilla. Currently in his third season with Los Nervionenses and already with seven goals and six assists so far this LaLiga campaign, he has become a true star in Seville.

Javier Saviola –  Perhaps best remembered for his time at Barcelona, Javier Saviola also played for Sevilla and for Real Madrid during his time in LaLiga. The Argentine signed for Sevilla in the summer of 2005, having already impressed for Barcelona since 2001. At Sevilla, he won the UEFA Cup in his one and only season wearing white and red, before making the jump to Real Madrid in the summer of 2007. At the Bernabeu he added to his impressive honours roll, winning a LaLiga Santander title and a Spanish Super Cup during his two-year spell.

Júlio Baptista – Sevilla took a chance on Júlio Baptista in 2003 and it paid off big time with the Brazilian import scoring 20 league goals in his first season with the club and then netting 18 times in the following campaign. With such consistent returns in front of goal, the striker was always going to be in demand and Real Madrid stepped up to sign him from Sevilla, beating Arsenal to his signature. He won a LaLiga title with Los Blancos in 2007/08, scoring the winner in El Clásico at the Camp Nou on the way to domestic glory.

Diego López –  Current Espanyol goalkeeper Diego López moved to Real Madrid from hometown club Lugo at the age of 18 and worked his way up the ranks before spending five seasons at Villarreal between 2007 and 2012. He joined Sevilla in 2012 and was so impressive in the first half of the season that a move was set in motion to return to the Bernabeu. Signed by Jose Mourinho in 2013, Lopez won the starting job ahead of Iker Casillas and won a Champions League and Copa del Rey before heading to Italy in 2014.

India under Stephen Constantine has come a long way, and they appear to have grown in height too.

There was no dearth of activity in the Indian team with Stephen Constantine’s wards ramping up their preparations for the AFC Asian Cup 2019, which will be a fair reflection of where the team stands at the moment and what the future holds.

AFC Asian Cup 2019: Indian Football set to soar new heights

They have been clubbed with hosts UAE, Thailand and Bahrain and should they clear the group stage, India will get an opportunity to take on the continent’s big guns such as Japan, South Korea, Australia, Iran and Saudi Arabia.

Constantine has made it clear that his players will need to play the best football of their lives if they are to make an impression in the continental showpiece, scheduled to be held from January 5 to February 1.

India will take confidence from some impressive results in the recent past, the most prominent being the goal-less stalemate with China, coached by World Cup-winning Italian manager Marcello Lippi.

Qualifying was hugely impressive from the Blue Tigers, and India go in to the Asian Cup knowing they can upset the odds. The Indian national team had earlier participated in the AFC Asian Cup in 1964, 1984 and 2011 editions of the AFC Asian Cup.

Indian team’s participation in the AFC Asian Cup 2019 is a precursor to India’s goal to achieve a berth in the FIFA World Cup by 2026. The Asian dream needs to be achieved by 2026 as there will be 8 teams from Asia in the FIFA World Cup.

DW Kick off! has made about how the AFC Asian Cup 2019 can become a milestone on India’s rise to higher football fortunes.

Can Sandesh Jhingan and the India 'Blue Tigers' conquer Asia? | AFC Asian Cup 2019 - YouTube

In the video, DW Kick off! expert Kres Harrington travels to the South Western coastal state of Kerala to meet two Indian footballers, I. M. Vijayan, the first footballer to win India’s player of the year multiple times and charismatic national defender Sandesh Jhingan, to get their take on why India’s team hasn’t made bigger strides on the international stage and, having recently broken into FIFA’s top 100 rankings, what can we expect from India’s national team in the coming years. Will the AFC Asian Cup 2019 be a turning point in the nation’s football history?

2019 is going to be another amazing year for sports fans.

Wondering how? Real sports fans will get this. It’s World Cup time, with the Cricket World Cup and the Rugby World Cup fast approaching.

Turner Field, Atlanta, United States

World Cups don’t happen every year. Depending on the sport in question, these prestigious tournaments happen every two or four years, allowing both hype and excitement to build.

But as soon as details are released, that excitement reaches fever pitch. And we’re happy to say that 2019’s World Cup details are here.

Top upcoming World Cup Events that we can’t wait for in 2019

May 30 – Jul 15: Cricket World Cup (Men)

Football may not have come home after England’s semi-final exit in Russia in 2018, but one sport which is returning to these shores is cricket.

The ICC Cricket World Cup returns to its spiritual home in 2019, with sixteen sides competing in 11 of the sport’s most iconic venues. Holders and five-time winners Australia will be looking to defend their title as they begin their World Cup in Bristol, while India and Pakistan are set to resume hostilities at Old Trafford in June.

But cricket fans have their eyes on two fixtures above all others. England kicking off the tournament against South Africa at The Oval on May 30th, and the World Cup final at Lord’s on July 14th.

Between those dates, 46 other matches will take place – and White Label Hospitality will help you secure the best seats in the house at every single one with ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 tickets and hospitality packages.

Jun 7 – Jul 7: Football World Cup (Women)

2019 is going to witness the eighth Women’s Football World Cup. The first event took place in 1991 in China and was won by the United States.

The USA will be defending champions once again when the 2019 tournament kicks off on June 7th in France, but we’ll be hoping that the joint fourth favourites England can upset the odds by going one better than the men’s side managed in Russia.

Jul 12 – 21: Netball World Cup

Since 1963, two teams have dominated the sport of netball – 11 times winners Australia, and four times winners New Zealand. When the tournament arrives in Liverpool in July, hosts and Commonwealth Games gold medallists England will hope to become only the fourth ever side to lift this prestigious trophy.

An English win here could mark a magnificent sporting summer for one particular family – Head Coach Tracey Neville’s twin brother (and former England footballer) Phil will be leading England’s Lionesses at the Football World Cup just a few short weeks before the tournament kicks off.

Sep 20 – Nov 2: Rugby World Cup

They’re the most dominant international team in sporting history. Three Rugby World Cup wins and one runners up medal in a little over 30 years. A parade of greats stretching back even further. And when the tournament starts in Japan in September, it’d be a brave man who’d bet on anyone but New Zealand to lift the trophy a third time running.

The All Blacks may be all-conquering, but they’re not unstoppable. Fierce rivals Australia will be looking to equal New Zealand’s record by going one better than they did in 2015, while a quietly confident England side will look to repeat their heroics of 2003 – and that’s before we even consider whether Wales, Ireland or France have what it takes to become the second ever Northern Hemisphere side to lift the trophy.

No matter who wins (and it’ll probably be New Zealand), the best way to watch the 2019 Rugby World Cup is in style with a hospitality package from White Label Hospitality.

What is curling?

In the sport of curling water droplets are sprayed on the ice surface; on freezing these droplets form ice pebbles. This pebble formation increases any movement or rotation enforced on the stone which makes it curl inside or outside.

The surface that curling is played on is known as the sheet. Its dimensions are around 150 feet long by about 15 feet wide, but can vary. At the end there is a target (like bulls eye). These targets are called houses. The centre of the house is called the button.

Curling during Follow Up Siberia trip

The aim of the game is to get the stones closer to the button than the other team.

History of Curling

Curling being an uncommon sport for today has a history dating back to 16 century where this sport was played in Scotland on frozen ponds and lochs. Curling made its debut in Olympics at the 1924 Olympics in Chamonix, France. At that time only men participated and Great Britain scooped out the gold medal. Curling stones in Olympics weigh between 38 and 44 pounds. The granite for the curling stone is obtained from Ailsa Craig (an island off the west coast of Scotland that resembles, from a distance, a curling stone).

Equipment used in Curling

• The curling stones are made up of granite; their weight is between 38 and 44 pounds. Each stones have a handle with the help of which the thrower makes the stone curl.
• 2 team members are provided with brooms who perform continuous sweeping in front of the stone while it is sliding to guide it towards the house.
• A particular variety of shoes are worn by players which help them slide down the ice.

How to Play Curling

• Curling match has 10 ends.
• There are 4 players in each team.
• The lead throws first, followed by the second, then the third — or vice-skip — then finally, the skip.
• Each player throws two stones (total of 16 stones).
• The most significant player is the skip as he throws the last stone in an end. He also determines the overall strategy.
• To make a shot the curler pushes a foot off the hack, a piece of rubber parallel to a starting block.
• The curler slides across the ice and releases the stone before it touches the line.
• The stones are then moved towards the house (the area with four concentric circles on the other side of the sheet).
• The house is the scoring area.

Vikram Kamboj and Milos Petrovic won the silver medal in the Journalists & Bloggers’ Curling Tournament

Scoring in Curling

• A match consists of 10 ends. Once the players are done throwing their 8 stones towards the same house the end concludes.
• Only one team ends up scoring points at the end.
• The team with the stone closest to the button scores a point. This stone is known as shot rock.
• The scoring team can score as many points as they desire due to their stone being closer to the button.
• After one score end, the throwing order changes and other team get to throw first.
• The team with maximum points after 10 ends wins.

Rules of Curling

Scoring

The main aim of curling is hitting the button of the house with the team stone. Each team gets 8 stones to throw (2 stone per player). The team to get the stone closest to the button at the end of the 8 throws gets a point. An extra point is awarded in the case if any other stone lands insides the closest stone of the opposite team.
After both teams are done throwing their stones (all 16 of them) then only one team can score. The maximum numbers of points a team can obtain are 8.

Sweeping

Sweeping is done to decrease the friction between the stone and the pebbled ice that leads the stone to curl less and go straighter and faster.

Throwing the rock

The rock can be thrown in 3 different ways:

  1. One can throw a block: A throw which is meant to block the other team’s stone and falls short of the target or house.
  2. One can throw a draw: A throw which is meant for scoring and is aimed at the centre of the bull’s eye.
  3. One can throw a takeout: A throw which is meant to displace the opponent’s rock out of scoring position.

Roles

There is no strict division of roles in the team of curling. In the team of 4 everyone throws 2 stones. There are no particular sweepers or throwers.

• Chess on Ice

Strategy is eminent in curling. The last rock thrown and teams alternate shots have major advantage in the game. The last rock thrown is known as the hammer as it changes the score to quite an extent.

This blog is part of “FOLLOW UP SIBERIA!” bloggers contest and I hope to be part of this group again for XXIX Winter Universiade 2019 in Krasnoyarsk.

The 2020 Olympics will be held in Tokyo, Japan, and the organisers of the event have already expressed their plans to make it the most innovative yet. Maki Kobayashi-Terada of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs believes that the summer games will be a good opportunity to showcase Japanese culture, technology, products, and public service. Kobayashi-Terada also said the Olympics will help modernise infrastructure, drive tourism, and improve accessibility for visitors.

Here are a few more things you can expect in the coming 2020 games:

North Korea will compete

CNN reports that North and South Korea are uniting as a team and are even bidding to co-host the 2023 Summer Games. This comes as no surprise since the two already united in the 2018 Winter Olympics, walking together at the opening ceremony as a joint team. It was truly a historic moment as they walked under a unified flag. “Sports could once more make a contribution to peace on the Korean Peninsula,” International Olympic Committee president Thomas Bach said. “The IOC committed itself to continue to support the rapprochement between the two Koreas through sport,” he added.

Looking ahead to the 2020 Tokyo Olympics

New sports have been added

New sports including skateboarding and BMX park racing will be making an Olympic debut in 2020, which brings the number of sports to 33, five more than Rio 2016. Karate will also be making a debut, too, and Japan is expected to do well after retaining the men’s and women’s titles at the Karate World Championships this year.

Olympics 2020 will be technologically advanced

When Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe stepped out dressed as video game character Super Mario at the closing ceremony of the 2016 Games, everyone knew it was a sign that this year’s Olympics would be tech-driven. The Verge reported that the NEC has announced that it will provide a large-scale facial recognition system called NeoFace for the 2020 Olympics. The system will identify over 300,000 people, including athletes, volunteers, media, and other staff. The security systems at the games will be top-of-the-line.

Tokyo 2020 Summer Olympics - Get Ready! - YouTube

There will be two competition venues

The games will be spread into two themed areas: the “Heritage” zone and the “Tokyo Bay” zone. The “Heritage” zone pays tribute to the Tokyo 1964 Summer Games as it is where the original site was located. Meanwhile, the “Tokyo Bay” zone will be for water and extreme sport events. NBC News reveals that work is underway on the new National Olympic Stadium, which is being built on the site of the original 1964 Olympic Stadium. It is where the opening and closing ceremonies will be held, as well as the track events.

The 2020 Olympics will be the fourth Olympic games to be held in Japan. They already hosted the Summer Olympics in 1964 and the Winter Olympics in 1972 and 1998. The country has built up a reputation as a top international destination for sport, with tennis, martial arts, and figure skating events regularly held in Japan. Expat Bets, in their guide to Japan, note how the country has also become internationally renowned for winter sports in Hokkaido. The slopes of Hokkaido are host to a number of winter tournaments every year, drawing athletes from across the globe. Before the Olympics start, Japan will host the 2019 Rugby World Cup, another example of how far the country has come in its sporting heritage.

Japan has truly increased its presence on the world stage through their innovative ways of hosting prestigious sporting events. Their track record is why the 2020 Olympics are hotly anticipated.

Building on the roaring success of the inaugural edition of the Khelo India School Games, Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports along with Star Sports kick started the countdown to Khelo India Youth Games, Maharashtra 2019 with an appeal to encourage India to play more- with the evocative ‘#5MinuteAur’ campaign.

The campaign has a strong call to action, taking the Khelo India movement forward, featuring – Manu Bhaker, Jeremy Lalrinnunga, Saurabh Chaudhary, Lakshya Sen, Esha Singh, Tababi Devi, Srihari Natraj and champions Mary Kom, Sushil Kumar amongst others bringing childhood playground memories to life. The #5MinuteAur campaign created this year has a simple insight, we are all born with an inherit instinct to play, kids and adults alike.

In its inaugural edition, Khelo India had a strong message “Kheloge Kudoge Banoge lajawaab” encouraging more kids to play every day, it was an effort towards changing an age-old belief. Building on the core of this message through the #5MinuteAur campaign, Star Sports and the ministry want India to encourage kids to play for those extra 5 minutes.

The 5 minutes is symbolic, with an assumption that if each child plays a little bit longer, we will add a billion minutes of play everyday, that has the potential to translate into 50 medals for the country.

Portraying this five-minute agreement between a mother and a child, the aim with #5MinuteAur is to spark a fire in every enthusiast in India to strive for better through sports. Establishing the message that sports builds and defines our personalities, the more we play the better we get. The manifesto, “Hum Aaj Aur Khelenge Toh Kal Aur Jeetenge” is true not just for the sport we play, but for life itself.

Scheduled to take place at Shree Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Complex in Pune from 9th to 20th January 2019, Khelo India Youth Games, Maharashtra 2019 will see over 10,000 participants from 29 states and 7 Union Territories. The games will bring to life by over 6200 athletes, 1800 Technical Officials, 1000 volunteers and 1000 personnel working behind the scenes.

Conceptualised to revive the sports culture in India at grass-root level by building a strong framework for all sports played in our country, the upcoming season of Khelo India Youth Games will be held across 18 sporting disciplines in the Under-17 and Under– 21 age categories.

“The success of Khelo India School Games is a testimony to the hunger and multitude of sporting talent in India. Buoyed by the terrific response for Khelo India School Games and with an aim to increase participation in sports across all age groups, we have not just added two sports this year but the games will also be played under two age categories U-17 and U-21 to allow even more enthusiasts to participate and flourish. The ‘5 minute aur’ campaign for the Khelo India Youth Games 2019 to be hosted in Pune, Maharashtra is a reflection of the immense strides we’ve made and the journey that lies in front of us to make India a truly sporting nation. We hope it will inspire India to work towards incorporating sports as a way of life.” Said, Col. Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore, Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs (IC).”
