Ensuring the brain injury community has the best support available is exceptionally important to us. With this in mind, we created The Silverlining Charity Affiliated Solicitors Scheme as a point of reference for brain injured individuals looking to find legal representation.
We sincerely hope our new guide will help brain injury survivors make an informed choice when seeking legal representation. Should you have any questions about our new Affiliated Solicitors Scheme please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Duke of Cornwall Trophy 2018
Sunday 26th August 2018, 11.00 – 17.00
Guards Polo Club, Smiths Lawn, Windsor Great Park, Egham, TW20 0HP
Visiting Guards Polo Club has become a social and sporting highlight of The Silverlining Summer calendar.
This year we will also be extending our invitation to the service men and women recovering from injury at DMRC Headley Court. We hope it will be a great opportunity to connect with, thank and socialise with, the team before they move to a new military site in the West Midlands.
Whilst the highlight of the day will be a fast paced final played in the late afternoon, there will be plenty of opportunities to explore the grounds, socialise and enjoy a picnic in the sunshine. You are welcome to arrive any time:
11.00am – 11.30am – The Silverlining Charity pitches up, early birds welcome
11.30am – 12.30pm – Qualifying rounds of Polo are played, great watching for the Polo enthusiasts
12.30pm – 2.00pm – Time for a picnic on the lawns, perfect timing for the social butterfly
2.00pm – 4.30pm – The final matches are played and the Duke of Cornwall Trophy is awarded, a spectacle for all
We are really lucky to be able to offer the brain injury community, volunteers and members of the Charity a limited number of free tickets for the event. Large groups of friends and supporters will need to book tickets directly with Guards Polo Club (https://www.guardspoloclub.com/).
While we are delighted to offer Silverliners this opportunity free-of-charge, hosting this event does come at a cost to ourselves. If able, please consider donating to The Silverlining Charity when booking so we can continue running events like this. Every little truly helps.
On Sunday the 22nd of July 2017, we will entering our second Dragon Boat Race with The Kingston Rotary Club and we would like to invite you join us.
On the River, hundreds of competitors, in more than 50 teams, will be battling it out to be crowned Dragon boat Champions. Between 9.30am and 4pm, rowers will compete their way through several heats for their place in an exciting eight boat final. At around 4pm the top eight teams will go head to head to be crowned Dragon Boat Champions.
The Silverlining Charity is looking to recruit 16 athletic rowers come fundraisers to join us on our boat with a fundraising target of £100 per head. While you will need to be able bodied to take part, no previous experience will be required. All rowers will receive training and buoyancy aids (just in case) before taking to the water. Team registrations start from 9.30am. If you are interested in rowing with us you will need to register your interest by email (email@example.com).
In the surrounding Canbury Gardens, spectators will be able to enjoy the spectacle for free from the river bank. A host of food stalls, market stalls, sideshows, bouncy castles and rides will be on hand to keep spectators refreshed and entertained throughout the day. Please come along, bring the family, enjoy the sunshine and show your support!
To help raise as much money as possible in support of good causes we are seeking a few sponsors. If you are interested in becoming one of our corporate sponsors and supporting the brain injury community please get in touch, we will be happy to hear from you.
