The month of March kicks off with a full moon in Virgo on the 1st at 8:52PM ET. Virgo is the sign of work, so we can focus on the work that needs to be done, the little things that have piled up, the tasks and chores that we have to get out of the way. This can be a time to finish projects, do some spring cleaning, and streamline daily lives and routines. We can work on eliminating bad habits that have adversely impacted our lifestyles or productivity, and we can focus on trying to manage stress better so we're not quite so stressed out. But, if we try to do too much, we might stress ourselves out worse!
This full moon is opposite Neptune in Pisces, so we have to be careful with emotional sensitivity, vulnerability, and being easily taken advantage of. We may get lost in the fog, in illusion and delusion, and need to work hard to discern fantasy (Pisces/Neptune) from facts and reality (Virgo).
The full moon occurs at 11 degrees 22 minutes Virgo. The major aspects to this full moon are: Conjunction: 9 degrees 22 minutes - 13 degrees 22 minutes Virgo Sextile: 9 degrees 22 minutes - 13 degrees 22 minutes Cancer or Scorpio Square: 9 degrees 22 minutes - 13 degrees 22 minutes Gemini or Sagittarius Trine: 9 degrees 22 minutes - 13 degrees 22 minutes Taurus or Capricorn Opposition: 9 degrees 22 minutes - 13 degrees 22 minutes Pisces
March's new moon occurs in Pisces on March 17th at 9:12AM ET. With the Pisces new moon, we can be more compassionate and understanding, and do more for others who can't do for themselves. We can care for the voiceless and shine a light where we haven't been paying as much attention lately.
We may connect more to our spiritual selves, our intuition, our subconscious minds, and to the subtle energies all around us. We can focus on our inner mystics, and work to heal ourselves and others, particularly with this new moon conjunct (aligned with) Chiron in Pisces. Chiron is the "wounded healer", representing our deepest wounds we need to heal from but also how we can heal and grow, so we may be focused on some sort of wound that we need to collectively heal from. We can be more sensitive at first, but this can lead to more focus and conversation about what we need to do. We just need to make sure we use a gentle touch and are sensitive to everyone's needs. Connecting to our spiritual selves can also be beneficial for helping us to heal, and we may need to address past issues or something that has been hidden from us that becomes revealed.
Pisces is also the last sign of the Zodiac, so we may feel like we're at the end of some cycle, and can clean up, clear out, let go, and get ready for the new.
The new moon occurs at 26 degrees 53 minutes Pisces. The major aspects to this new moon are: Conjunction: 24 degrees 53 minutes - 28 degrees 53 minutes Pisces Sextile: 24 degrees 53 minutes - 28 degrees 53 minutes Taurus or Capricorn Square: 24 degrees 53 minutes - 28 degrees 53 minutes Gemini or Sagittarius Trine: 24 degrees 53 minutes - 28 degrees 53 minutes Cancer or Scorpio Opposition: 24 degrees 53 minutes - 28 degrees 53 minutes Virgo
March also comes with a second full moon! Another blue moon after the lunar eclipse blue moon in January. This full moon occurs on March 31st at 8:36AM ET in Libra. The Libra full moon often wants us to come together in compromising fashion, wanting us to keep the peace and be considerate of one another, mindful of equality and justice, and play fair. We can focus more on one another, on the important people in our lives, and how we impact one another. It can be a time to eliminate issues in relationships and partnerships to improve them, or to walk away from people or alliances that we feel no longer serve a positive purpose in our lives.
The full moon in square (hard aspect, 3 signs away) Saturn in Capricorn, and opposite Mercury retrograde in Aries (though a tiny bit wide). So this full moon has some supercharged energy that we need to be conscious of managing, otherwise there may be some wonkiness ensuing! There may be some extra violence, some extra difficulties with governments, institutions, or politicians, and it can feel like we're getting dragged around by a drunk angry cat. Cancer is the sign that's missing, so we need to be more considerate emotionally, more supportive and nurturing, and remember that we're all one family. And maybe have extra ice cream!
This full moon occurs at 10 degrees 44 minutes in Libra. The major aspects to this full moon are: Conjunction: 8 degrees 44 minutes - 12 degrees 44 minutes Libra Sextile: 8 degrees 44 minutes - 12 degrees 44 minutes Leo or Sagittarius Square: 8 degrees 44 minutes - 12 degrees 44 minutes Cancer or Capricorn Trine: 8 degrees 44 minutes - 12 degrees 44 minutes Gemini or Aquarius Opposition: 8 degrees 44 minutes - 12 degrees 44 minutes Aries
Venus conjunct Mars gets a lot of attention wherever it pops up, whether it’s in transit, in the natal chart, in synastry, or in the composite chart. Why? It generates a lot of passion, intensity, friction, heat. It can be highly creative and full of energy, but it can be a little frustrating too. When Venus conjuncts Mars in the natal chart, this tends to stimulate a very healthy sex drive in the native (maybe a little too healthy sometimes!), though the degree to which depends on the sign and house involved. It can also stimulate a creative soul, and can be a source of creative energy that can be tapped into. Mars has a bad habit of overtaking Venus at times though, and so you’ll find many with this placement identify more with Mars than Venus, or come across in a more Mars-y way (more “masculine” or dominant). The trick with this position in the natal chart is to balance the energy of the two and not let Mars overtake Venus. She needs some say too!
When transit Venus conjuncts natal Mars or transit Mars conjuncts natal Venus, this usually stimulates a few days where you have a higher sex drive, more passionate energy, or a more creative approach. Again, this will largely depend on the location of the conjunction by sign and house. In the 3rd house, this may mean more mental energy and connection, while in Capricorn, this may mean more passion for goals and success. It’s important to use the energy with this transit though, otherwise you can get very grumpy and frustrated.
In synastry, this means one of your Venuses conjuncts the other person’s Mars, and this is a standout maker for major attraction between two people (and the closer they are to being exactly conjunct, the stronger it can be). The attraction can be instant and the chemistry strong, so much that it can almost be difficult to stop (if say, you’re already with someone else). When it’s an attraction you can act on (and has other healthy aspects to support it), it can keep the spark going much longer than usual. When you don’t want anything to happen, you may need to just stay apart though. Even if you don’t like each other, you may find that there’s still that chemistry there that can’t be denied, so go your separate ways. With composite Venus conjunct composite Mars, this can be similar to the conjunction in synastry, but it’s generally felt more evenly between you, and can be something that bonds you together in a more harmonious way. You can find that together, you channel the passion between you easily through the sign and house location of Venus and Mars, and in a way that you don’t alone. We're all prone to indulging sometimes, so what can show that you will? Venus and Jupiter are usually in play, so anytime you have any Venus or Jupiter aspects, you can be prone to overindulgence. This can be the case with transit aspects by Venus or Jupiter to your natal chart, or with transit aspects to your natal Venus or Jupiter, and it can be the case with the easy aspects (sextiles and trines), but tends to play out most with conjuncts, squares, or oppositions, particularly oppositions. Oppositions can show out-of-control energy, so overindulgence becomes over the top. And when you have transit Venus opposite natal Jupiter or transit Jupiter opposite natal Venus? Oh boy, throw out the scale!
You can also be prone to overindulgence with aspects to the 2nd house cusp or ruler, which is ruled by Venus naturally and governs the senses; as well as with transit Venus or Jupiter in the natal 1st house (of the self), 2nd house, 4th house (ruling comfort food), or 6th house (of health). The Moon can also show times when you may eat more, but it's usually as a way of comforting yourself emotionally since the Moon rules emotions, and you can be prone to "comfort foods". This can play out when the Moon is touring your 1st, 2nd, 4th, or 6th houses, or is aspecting your natal Venus, Jupiter, Moon, or 1st or 2nd house ruler or cusp.
Transit Saturn aspects or aspects to your natal Saturn can have more moderating influence since Saturn rules restrictions and limitations, so you can be less inclined to indulge with transit Saturn aspecting your natal chart (especially your natal Venus, Jupiter, or Moon), or with aspects to your natal Saturn, or Saturn transiting your natal 1st, 2nd, 4th, or 6th houses. (originally published in the December 2017 monthly newsletter)
Chiron is an asteroid dubbed the "Wounded Healer". In your natal chart, Chiron represents the biggest wounds you need to heal from, and the best ways for you to heal and grow. It can be a pain point in your chart, one that is difficult to focus on because of the trauma and emotional baggage that can be associated with it, but it also provides a tremendous potential for growth.
When you have a prominent natal Chiron, you can feel your wounds more strongly than others. This may play out subconsciously though, and you may not be fully aware consciously of just how much your wounds and emotional baggage are influencing your actions, decisions, and life. You need to work on becoming more consciously aware of this so you can work to take control of the energy instead of letting it control you.
Until you do that, it can be difficult for you to maneuver life, and you may feel like you're constantly being victimized. Some people can manifest this quite negatively, and play the victim card a lot, using it as a way of getting attention or of avoiding taking responsibility for their life. It's best to avoid doing that though, otherwise it can be a longer, harder road to using your Chiron energy for bettering your life.
Once you start to unlock the healing potential your strong Chiron possesses, you can unlock a lot of inner personal power. It can grow in a subtle way until you become stronger and stronger, and eventually, you can be seen as someone very wise, honorable, and inspiring. The greatest potential a strong Chiron native usually has is in the power to heal, not only yourself, but others as well. You'll often find a strong Chiron in the charts of people who are in the medical field, whether in a traditional sense (like a doctor or nurse) or in an alternative practice (like a Reiki practitioner or energy healer).
How do you know if you have a prominent natal Chiron? You qualify if your natal Chiron is conjunct a personal planet (Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars), conjunct one of the angles (1st, 4th, 7th, 10th house cusps), is in the 1st house, is anaretic (at 29 degrees), or is at a critical degree. Any of these can make the energy of Chiron more prominent for you.
February has no full moon! Instead, we'll have one solar eclipse, coming midmonth on the 15th at 4:05PM in Aquarius, the first solar eclipse (of 3) for 2018. This eclipse can help us to focus on the future, our dreams for what it would be like, and what we hope for in our lives and for the world. We can work on coming together and trying to work together for a common cause and purpose, and try to have an impact on the world. It's not about one, it's about all, and finding our place in the world. We can work well with friends, and groups can accomplish a lot, and we can push for the causes that we're passionate about and believe in.
We can be more independent, innovative, and focused on originality and uniqueness. We can be open to what's different and unconventional, step outside of our comfort zones and push boundaries that need to be challenged. We don't need to keep things as they've always been. Change can be a good thing, and we can embrace that. We can focus on the new, the different, the strange, and we can see the good that can come from that. We can unlock new possibilities by broadening our perspectives and being more objective. And we can be true to our individual selves while still finding a way to come together and leave room for other ways of being.
The eclipse is sextile (positive aspect, two signs away) the ruler of Aquarius, Uranus (in Aries), so that helps to amplify the energy and use it well. The eclipse is conjunct (aligned with) Mercury in Aquarius, stimulating our minds, increasing communication and ideas, helping us think more about the future and think outside of the box, and we can be more engaging and open. The eclipse is also square (hard aspect, 3 signs away) Jupiter in Scorpio, so we may be excessive at times, feel a little too good at times, and think a little too big at times, so we may need to keep ourselves from letting things expand too much too fast.
The solar eclipse occurs at 27 degrees 7 minutes in Aquarius. The aspects for this solar eclipse are: Conjunction: 22 degrees 7 minutes - 29 degrees 59 minutes Aquarius; 0 degrees 0 minutes - 2 degrees 27 minutes Pisces Semisextile: 25 degrees 7 minutes - 29 degrees 7 minutes Capricorn or Pisces Sextile: 22 degrees 7 minutes - 29 degrees 59 minutes Aries or Sagittarius; 0 degrees 0 minutes - 2 degrees 27 minutes Taurus or Capricorn Square: 22 degrees 7 minutes - 29 degrees 59 minutes Taurus or Scorpio; 0 degrees 0 minutes - 2 degrees 27 minutes Gemini or Sagittarius Trine: 22 degrees 7 minutes - 29 degrees 59 minutes Gemini or Libra; 0 degrees 0 minutes - 2 degrees 27 minutes Taurus or Virgo Quincunx: 25 degrees 7 minutes - 29 degrees 7 minutes Cancer or Virgo Opposition: 22 degrees 7 minutes - 29 degrees 59 minutes Leo; 0 degrees 0 minutes - 2 degrees 27 minutes Cancer *Note that eclipses have an impact of up to six months before and after.
A stellium occurs when you have 3 or more planets in your natal chart grouped closely together in one sign. A stellium represents a tremendous amount of potent energy available to you. It’s a strength in your chart, but the trick is learning how to use it properly.
With an Aries stellium, there’s a great deal of energy that you have - too much sometimes! So it’s important for you to find an outlet for it at all times, whether it’s a goal to work toward or just everyday hobbies and such. You need to find something that is fulfilling for YOU, not for other people, and where you can use your abundant energy.
With a Taurus stellium, you’re a super slow burner - takes time to get going, but once you do, you’re the epitome of “an object in motion stays in motion”. So it may be a good thing that it takes you time to pick what to take action with, because you won’t come off of it, and you don’t want to get stuck on something bad for you. You need to find something that makes you feel good about yourself and your life.
With a Gemini stellium, you have the power of the mind, and this is largely where your energy is expressed. You’re an idea person, and ideas may come to you in abundance. You can work on plans for them, but you may have an issue with getting bored really easily and quickly moving on to the next exciting idea, so you can be a bit scattered and unfocused. You need to find something that allows your insatiable mind to constantly be challenged.
With a Cancer stellium, you’re a super nurturer, a mother hen, and you can give a lot of yourself emotionally. But your emotions can bat you around at times, and you may feel at their mercy. It’s important for you to learn how to manage your emotions in healthy, positive ways and not go overboard with them or bottle them. You need to find something that allows you to channel your emotional energy into action.
With a Leo stellium, you’re super creative, and this can be a great asset for you. You’re likely someone who is an artist in some way, and you can thrive in the spotlight and want attention (unless in the 8th or 12th houses). Wherever this stellium is situated, this is an area where the spotlight can find you, whether you want it or not. You need to find something that gives you an outlet for your creative energy and where you’re comfortable with attention.
With a Virgo stellium, this can make you a great worker, super productive and efficient, and you want to feel productive and put to good use. You can have a great eye for the details and be very attentive to everything you work on. But you can also suffer from anxiety, worry, stress, and demand too much perfection of yourself, so you need to learn to relax. You need to find something that gives you lots to do but enough space to unwind.
With a Libra stellium, your focus can be on others, and you may have great power when it comes to dealing with other people. You can be a great mediator, negotiator, judge, and defender, and all of your energy and passion can come out when you’re focused on others. You just need to make sure you don’t forget yourself in the process. You need to find something where you can work with or for other people but still maintain your own identity within it.
With a Scorpio stellium, abundant Scorpio energy usually shows someone who has to undergo one or two big transformations or lots of smaller transformations throughout their life. Either way, transformation is the name of the game, and once you do that, you can use the unrelenting focused energy available to you. You can be strong, powerful, willful, and passionate. You need to find something to channel that passion into.
With a Sagittarius stellium, there can be a tremendous amount of energy for you to expand, explore, and experience. You can be super optimistic, always seeing the brighter side of life, and come up with the biggest, boldest ideas possible, but sometimes you’re all talk and no walk. You need to learn to back up what you say with action so you’re not just hot air. You need to find something that gives you the freedom to spread your wings and fly.
With a Capricorn stellium, you can be super ambitious and want something big for your life. You just need to figure out what exactly it is! Until you do, you can feel directionless. Once you do, you can go about it responsibly, with a practical approach, disciplined and focused, and doing your homework. You have the potential for great success and respect. You just need to find something to work toward.
With an Aquarius stellium, you can be the inventor, the innovator, the original mind who drags us into the future, and this can make you feel misunderstood at times or not of this Earth, but we’re all just trying to catch up to you. There’s a great deal of potential to be an expert at something, and you can use your intellect in new ways. You need to find something that lets you be the independent thinker you’re capable of being and doesn’t box you in.
With a Pisces stellium, you can be the softest and gentlest among us, someone super sensitive, sweet, compassionate, and caring. But this means you can also be easily taken for a ride, used, and controlled, so some barriers between you and people who would seek to use your vulnerability is necessary. You’re capable of being a super mystic, spiritual soul, or healer. You need to find something that allows you to be safe enough to open up your big heart.
Neptune is the general ruler of intuition, so we can focus on Neptune in the natal chart to get more ideas for how to channel our intuition. Neptune is a slow-moving planet, so he’s in the same sign for some time, so for each of us, the house location of Neptune may be more personal than the sign.
With Neptune in the 1st house, your intuition can be strong, and you feel very much in touch with that part of you. You can seem like an intuitive person as well, coming across like a mystical creature, and it can be a part of who you are. With Neptune in the 12th house, this house is naturally ruled by Neptune, so you can naturally be in tune with your intuitive side, but you may not be aware of it consciously. You seem to have excellent intuition, but it can be difficult for you to get a hold of it. The 12th house rules dreams, so keeping a dream journal can be helpful.
With Neptune in the 2nd house, you can feel a little like an earth god/goddess, and have a more practical, earthy approach to intuition. You can become more in touch with your intuition when you feel grounded and confident. With Neptune in the 3rd house, you can merge your intuition with your mind, and you can have flashes of insight. This occur with Neptune in the 11th house as well. In both the 3rd and 11th houses, you can benefit from using something like astrology or numerology to help channel your intuition.
With Neptune in the 4th house, your intuitive side may feel like it’s a part of your core, and when you have a stronger internal foundation, you can be more in touch with your intuition. With Neptune in the 5th house, you can channel your intuitive side into creative or artistic ventures and outlets (this can also be good for the 12th house). With Neptune in the 6th house, you may need to work on balancing your practical side with your intuitive side, and can take a more rational approach to intuition. Can you truly be intuitive when you put rules around it? That may be something you have to work on, but you can have excellent intuition for your work and daily life.
With Neptune in the 7th house, you can surround yourself with intuitive types, and let your intuition guide you when dealing with others. You may need some balance, peace, and harmony in order to strengthen your intuition. With Neptune in the 8th house, you can have excellent intuition, and you can be passionate about it and let it lead you. With Neptune in the 9th house, being in tune with your intuitive side can be part of your life philosophy, and you can study lots of ways to strengthen your intuition. With Neptune in the 10th house, you can feel like being a highly intuitive person is something you’re constantly striving for, and it can be one of your ultimate goals in life.
You can also take a look at the relationship between your natal Neptune and your natal Sun and Moon. If you have your natal Neptune at a hard aspect (square - 3 signs apart, or opposite - 6 signs apart) to your natal Sun or Moon, this can bring some difficulties with accessing your intuitive side, or some discomfort in some way, and this has to be worked on in order to be a truly intuitive person. If you’re natal Neptune is at a positive aspect (sextile - two signs apart, or trine - four signs apart) to your natal Sun and Moon, this can make it easier for you to access your intuition. If you have your natal Neptune conjunct (in the same spot as) your natal Sun or Moon, this can make your intuition much stronger, but it may be difficult for you to get control of and it may feel like it controls you or you’re not fully aware of the extent of your intuitive powers consciously.
Predictively, you can look at transit (moving) Neptune and see when he’ll be aspecting your natal planets and house cusps. When he’s aspecting a personal planet (Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars) or the 1st house cusp or ruler, this can be the most important times for your intuition for better or worse. If he’s square or opposite, you may struggle with your intuition, and feel that you can’t hear it right at all, or it’s not pointing you in the right direction. If he’s sextile or trine, you can have a much easier time tapping into your intuitive side and strengthening your intuition. If he’s conjunct, it’s imperative you pay attention to the messages, but there may be a lot of them, so you have to learn which to listen to. The same can also be said of aspects to your natal Neptune by the other transit planets.
A new year is coming! So what does 2018 have in store? Well, the year kicks off with both Mars and Jupiter touring Scorpio, so this is great energy for anything Scorpio ruled, things like transformations, financial stuff, research and getting to the heart of matters, serious issues, sexuality, mutually beneficial ventures, sharing. We can see some good financial news, and gain more understanding about something deep.
Retrogrades can muck things up in 2018 as we deal with 3 for Mercury in the fire signs (hello hell fire!), a Venus retrograde October-November in Scorpio & Libra (so not great for relationships), and a Mars retrograde June 26th - August 27th in Aquarius & Capricorn. The Mars retrograde starts in Aquarius and forms a fixed t-square with Uranus fresh in Taurus and Jupiter in Scorpio, so there's going to be some stubborn, stuck, immovable, ultra-frustrating energy then. While in Capricorn, Mars will be in a stellium with Saturn and Pluto in Capricorn, and this can bring about some major developments with governments, institutions, politics/politicians, and countries at large.
Saturn is freshly in Capricorn for 2018, having entered in December 2017, and is paired with Pluto in Capricorn. The two most serious planets coming together can make for some super disciplined, unrelenting energy, and we can all learn a lot of lessons in maturity, responsibility, and ambition. Some will likely fall, and it ain't gonna be purty!
Uranus starts to move into Taurus May through November, so we can see some wrapping-up and last-minute changes with Uranus in Aries, some extra hot energy at times (especially when Mercury is retrograde in Aries March/April), extra impulsiveness and impatience and independence. But the move into Taurus hopefully slows down the rapid change energy a little bit.
And asteroid Chiron, the wounded healer himself, also begins to change signs next year, going from mystical Pisces into fiery Aries. A lot of you who experienced a Chiron Return while Chiron was in Pisces discovered your inner mystic, and Chiron's venture through Pisces awakened spiritual energy for us all; now that Chiron will go into Aries, we'll have to take more control over our healing and be more proactive.
The eclipses for 2018 are mostly Leo and Aquarius, continuing with the two signs of social connections and generosity, but there's one extra eclipse thrown in the sign of Cancer midyear, bringing us home, reminding us of our roots, and giving us time to strengthen foundations.
Jupiter ends the year in home sign Sagittarius, and Neptune remains in home sign Pisces all year with Saturn in home sign Capricorn. 3 of the big players at home! Strengthening themselves, and hopefully us too. If we can survive the junk in the middle, anyway!
Christmas will be here shortly, followed by New Year's (almost 2018!). Right now, we're gathering with family and friends, getting gifts for loved ones (and some we don't care for - LOL!), striving to make everything just right, get everyone on the same page (or at least refrain from killing anyone), and hoping to get through the next couple of weeks as unscathed as possible. Use a little astrology to help you do just that! Here are some articles you may find useful as you try to maneuver the next couple of weeks:

Aries December 2017 Monthly Horoscope
Mars, your ruler, enters water sign Scorpio on December 9th, and you can have more intense, unrelenting energy for whatever it is you’re passionate about. You can dig deeper into subjects, ventures, and relationships, and be more investigating. You may focus on the emotional bonds you have with others, wanting to feel closer with the people you care about most. You may think about pursuing a mutually beneficial opportunity, and work on financial issues that involve other people.
Venus enters fellow fire sign Sagittarius on December 1st, and Mercury turns retrograde in Sagittarius on December 3rd. A planet is called retrograde when it appears to move backward from our view here on Earth, and things tend to get thrown off with Mercury retrograde. Over the coming weeks, you may feel like you’re not getting the space that you want, especially from other people, and can easily feel more stifled. You may struggle to see the opportunities you have, or to have the chance to expand and explore as you want to. It may be a good time for learning something over again, teaching something again, or saying something again.
Saturn enters earth sign Capricorn on December 19th, leaving Sagittarius for good. Saturn will be in Capricorn to 2020, and this can be an important transit for you regarding your goals and ambitions in life. Some of you may feel that you make tremendous progress and achieve some of the ultimate successes of your life over the next 3 years, while others may feel you encounter a ton of blocks, delays, and feel directionless. Saturn wants you to move forward with passion, purpose, and a plan, and to be responsible, ethical, and disciplined in your approach. If you do things right, this can be a great transit for you. The Sun enters Capricorn on December 21st, and Venus joins them in Capricorn December 25th, and you can start feeling this energy pretty quickly as you focus more on your goals and ambitions. You can feel more ambitious and driven, and feel most like yourself when you’re striving for something. You can make connections with important people, and may come across as more mature, hard-working, and as a leader.
A full moon occurs in air sign Gemini December 3rd, and you can get something off of your chest and say what you mean and mean what you say, but you should work on being careful with the words you choose, otherwise you may find yourself in fights more easily and not be certain how you did. It can be a good time to sort through ideas and give your mind a break. A new moon occurs in Sagittarius on December 18th, the same sign Mercury is retrograde in, and that makes this new moon a time for second chances. For you, this may mean a second chance to learn, teach, write, speak, travel, expand, or experience life. You can find renewed optimism and try to feel a little better about life.

Taurus December 2017 Monthly Horoscope
On December 9th, Mars enters water sign Scorpio, the sign opposite yours, and you can feel more energized when you have a partner by your side, someone who can help you, cheer you on, or provide some support. You can meet new people and enter into new relationships, be more compromising and fair-minded, and do more for others than for yourself at times. If single, you may be more concerned with being in a relationship, while if attached, you can make your relationship more of a priority.
On December 1st, your ruler, Venus, enters fire sign Sagittarius, and Mercury turns retrograde in Sagittarius on December 3rd. A planet is called retrograde when it appears to move backward from our view here on Earth, and things tend to get thrown off with Mercury retrograde. Over the coming weeks, you may struggle with extreme emotions, getting upset and riled up more easily, and can get stuck in foul moods. You may need to work on trying to find the bright side and having a healthy outlet for your moods. You can become more easily obsessed with things, and need to work on taking steps back. You may have a hard time with an issue you hold deep inside of yourself, but you need to work it out and bring it into the light so you can move on.
On December 19th, Saturn enters fellow earth sign Capricorn, leaving Sagittarius for good and staying in Capricorn to 2020, and this transit may be a time where you take stock of your big ideas, your plans for expansion and exploration, and start thinking a little smaller. You can become more aware of the limitations in your life and the ways in which you are restricted and confined, which may feel suffocating at first, but the lesson is to learn how to find space within your limitations, and to work with realistic opportunities. If you go about things the right way, you can put yourself on an upward trajectory that pays off in big ways when Saturn goes into Aquarius. The Sun enters Capricorn on December 21st, and Venus joins them in Capricorn December 25th, and you can start to feel this energy quickly. You can focus on expansion and exploration, new experiences and big ideas, and you can be optimistic about life, but should make sure that you’re being realistic as well so you can get started the right way.
On December 3rd, a full moon occurs in air sign Gemini, the sign after yours, and you may want to spend some time with this full moon getting grounded, removing blocks that make you less confident, and improve stability and security in your life. These things can help you manage the retrograde energy better, and keep you calmer throughout. On December 19th, a new moon occurs in Sagittarius, the same sign Mercury is retrograde in, and this usually is a good time for a second chance. For you, this may mean researching something again, re-strengthening emotional bonds with loved ones, reconnecting with old lovers, giving a transformation another chance, reconnecting with business or financial partners, or redoing a mutually beneficial project or venture.

Gemini December 2017 Monthly Horoscope
Mars enters water sign Scorpio on December 9th, and you can have more energy and drive for the work you want to get done, and you can be more hard-working, focused, and practical. You may have more energy to do more work, and the more work you do, the more energy you may feel you have, so you can take a lot of work on, and may push yourself to the edge, so try to avoid doing that, otherwise you just stress yourself out. It can be a good time to work on improving your daily life, your lifestyle, and becoming more productive and efficient.
Venus enters fire sign Sagittarius, the sign opposite yours, on December 1st, and Mercury, your ruler, turns retrograde in Sagittarius on December 3rd. A planet is called retrograde when it appears to move backward from our view here on Earth, and things tend to get thrown off with Mercury retrograde. Over the coming weeks, you may struggle in your relationships, and have a hard time dealing with uncompromising people, or feel like you’re being taken advantage of. Saturn enters earth sign Capricorn on December 19th, leaving Sagittarius for good. Saturn will be in Capricorn to 2020, and this transit can be a very serious, intense period where you have to dig deeper inside of yourself, bring out some of the things that you’ve hidden way down inside, and expose it in the cold light of reality. It can be an emotional time, but one that can eventually make you much stronger. That’s the lesson of this transit for you, to transform into a better version of yourself, someone strong and willful and who can get through anything. But if you’ve got some serious inner demons, it can definitely be a major challenge. The Sun enters Capricorn on December 21st, and Venus joins them in Capricorn December 25th, and this can get you started with the transit. A new moon occurs in Sagittarius on December 18th, the same sign Mercury is retrograde in, and this is usually a good time for second chances. For you, this may mean reconnecting with people from the past, re-committing to something, rediscovering peace, or restoring balance.
