Neptune is the planet of imagination, spirituality, and intuition. Neptune is in tune with the subtle energies all around us and within us. Neptune has a delicate touch, and is sensitive, sweet, and compassionate. But when Neptune isn't operating very well, that imagination and sensitivity goes into overdrive! That's when illusion, delusion, and victimization kick in.
What does it mean if a planet is in retrograde?
A planet is called retrograde when it appears to be moving backward from our view here on Earth (it isn't actually moving backward, only looks that way because of the way the planets move in relation to one another). Neptune turns retrograde for almost half of every year.
What does it mean when Neptune is in retrograde?
When Neptune is in retrograde currently, this tends to fill our lives with the very well-known Neptunian fog. The fog fills our heads, our hearts, our souls. We become more easily confused and conflicted, uncertain with our path, our decisions, our actions, our feelings, our ideas. With Neptune being the natural ruler of Pisces, any Pisces areas of your natal chart can get hit by this energy. If you have a Pisces Sun, Moon, or Rising, you tend to feel it most. Normally, when the ruler of your Sun, Moon, or Rising is retrograde, you feel off in a subtle way throughout the retrograde period. When it's Neptune? It's way more than subtly off! That fog rolls in and you're way more trippy than usual.
For everyone, the impact tends to be focused on the areas of life ruled by the house Neptune tours while Neptune is in retrograde. The matters that house rules can become clouded, obscured, and difficult to get a firm grip on. Extra caution needs to be exercised, more care needs to be taken, and often, more time is needed. If Neptune turns retrograde or direct aspecting any of your natal planets, you get this energy directed at you in a very intense way; sextiles and trines can turn it more positive while conjunctions, squares, and oppositions can make it more difficult (though all of the aspects have potential for some fog with Neptune!).
Since Neptune is at home in Pisces, this just reinforces the energy, which can make us extra imaginative, compassionate, intuitive, and sweet - but also give us the extra fog! So for as long as Neptune is in Pisces, it's going to be a little extra.
With Neptune, what usually helps the most is having a strong connection to your intuition. When you can trust your instincts, this can guide you through the fog. That makes it important for all of us to work on that connection so we can get through the fog each year without being mortified by what it was obscuring when it lifts.

The basics: A retrograde occurs when a planet appears to be moving backwards from our vantage point here on Earth. It isn't actually moving backwards, it just appears that way. Mercury turns retrograde most often, about 3-4 times per year, and lasts for several weeks. When a planet retrogrades, what that planet rules tends to be thrown off, along with what the sign it's retrograding in rules.
With Mercury retrograde, we experience a shadow and a storm. The shadow period starts when Mercury first hits the point in the Zodiac it will turn direct at, and ends when it last hits the point in the Zodiac it will turn retrograde at. Most people don't feel the effects of Mercury retrograde until it enters the storm period though. The storm period of Mercury retrograde is when Mercury is moving at its slowest, less than 40 minutes per day. Mercury is a fast-moving planet and hates it when he's moving slowly. There's usually two storm periods, one around the time Mercury turns retrograde, and one around when it turns direct.
This Mercury retrograde begins on July 7th at 7:14PM ET and ends on July 31st at 11:58PM ET. The shadow period is June 23rd - August 15th. The first storm period is June 29th - July 19th, and second storm period is July 23rd - August 7th.
Here comes another round of Mercury madness! This Mercury retrograde begins in fire sign Leo, which can create some serious drama and theatricality. We can turn mountains into molehills with Mercury retrograde in Leo, so we need to watch ourselves. Not cool to be so desperate for attention that you go crazy over nothing! If you’re feeling like you need attention, maybe ask yourself why that is.
Leo is the sign ruling love, so we may feel we need more love and affection. This isn’t necessarily bad, as long as we’re controlling ourselves (and not looking for love in all of the wrong places!). Be good and considerate of others.
Who and what we love comes under Leo’s domain, so we may want more time with loved ones or experience issues in love relationships, and we may want more time to play and do the things we love, or may feel that we just don’t have enough time for it and keep wishing for a vacay. With Leo, creative outlets can be very helpful, so try to inject creativity into whatever you do.
Mercury doesn’t retrograde entirely in Leo though, going back into watery sign Cancer on July 19th (3:06AM ET). This can bring out super emotional energy, and we need to take care of our emotional needs. BUT we also need to be considerate of the emotions of others, and not get totally stuck in our own feelings that we ignore everyone else’s. That can create problems we don’t need!
Comfort and support, familiarity and what we know best can be more important, and we may stick to that as much as we can, yet feel like the outside world is trying to push us away from that, and it makes us feel even more shaky internally. Try not to lash out, and have healthy outlets for your emotions, and be more flexible in life.
We may feel that something bottoms out around this time, that we have to get back to basics in some way, or focus on the foundation of something that is shaky. We may have more issues at home or with family to address, and can reconnect with family or make improvements to our living situations, or go back to places we’ve lived before.
During the retrograde, we’ll have a lunar eclipse in Capricorn on July 16th, and when Mercury retrograde ends, Mercury will be opposite the eclipse point (and it’s reeeally close). So the end of the Mercury retrograde may trigger the eclipse, and factor in that it’s so close to when the eclipse actually is, we can feel this energy crazy strong! We need to be careful with emotional energy, and watch ourselves very carefully. There may be some issues with Cancer/Capricorn that play out in the world, and we need to make sure we’re finding balance between the two energies instead of letting them fight each other.
While Mercury is retrograde, Mercury will make 3 major aspects, first a conjunction (aligned with) with transit Mars on July 8th (6:27PM ET). This is the day after the retrograde starts, so it starts conjunct transit Mars. This brings super high energy, super impulsiveness, rash, impatient, reckless. We need a positive outlet for the energy at the start of the retrograde, otherwise we may experience accidents (I’m actually a little worried about an accident or some violence!). The retrograde also starts square (hard aspect, 3 signs away) transit Uranus in Taurus, but this isn’t exact at any point, only in orb. But that adds to the wonky energy to start the retrograde, and makes it more important for us to be careful, cautious, and in control of our energy.
Mercury will make a conjunction to the Sun on July 21st (8:34AM ET). This is called the inferior conjunction, and can be a good point in the retrograde to get started with something new that you focus on for the next 6 weeks or so. Mercury retrograde also conjuncts Venus in Cancer on July 24th (8:26PM ET), and this can bring pleasant energy, help us focus on the people in our lives, or make compromise, balance, and diplomacy more important. Watch for stubborness, vacillation, or overindulgence.
Mercury retrograde will end opposite transit Pluto in Capricorn, so this may bring out power struggles and fighting. We may feel like we’re struggling for control of something, and want to tear something down. We need to avoid trying to dominate and control, and watch for hatred, anger, and rage.
I’ll be honest, I’m not super liking the energy of this retrograde at all! I’m very concerned about accidents and violence. Cancer is ruler of the homeland as well (your country). Sooo . . .
Mercury will be at a critical degree, points of critical energy, July 23rd - 25th, at 26 degrees Cancer. There can be some extra hot energy at that time, especially emotionally. But that can pale in comparison to when Mercury is at 29 degrees Cancer July 19th - 20th! 29 degrees is the last degree of any sign and called the anaretic degree. It’s a point of crisis energy, and with retrogrades, tends to trigger some crazy energy (and sometimes crazy events). So everybody, just stay calm, for crying out loud!
The retrograde begins at 4 degrees Leo, so those of you Leos born July 25th - 30th can feel the start of this retrograde most. The retrograde ends at 23 degrees Cancer, so those of you Cancerians born July 13th - 19th can feel the end of the retrograde most.
For the rest of you, check the house(s) Mercury will be retrograding in of your own natal chart, and any aspects Mercury will make during its retrograde to your natal planets, to fully understand how it will impact you personally.
If you have Mercury retrograde in your natal or progressed chart, you may not feel the worst of this. Those individuals generally don't experience the difficulties of the retrograde because it feels more natural to them. Of course, chances are everyone else around them doesn't have the same aspect, so they can still experience difficulties brought on by others.
I published an article on Lilith some time ago that has been super popular, yet it's very basic, so I decided to write another article going into Lilith more since it seems many are interested in this position. So let's dive in!
Who is Lilith?
To understand Lilith, you need to understand the mythology. Lilith was the original woman in the Garden of Eden, Adam's first wife. She didn't want to be sexually submissive, so she was cast out and replaced by Eve. Since Eve was made from Adam, she had to be submissive. No surprise she ate that apple from the Tree of Knowledge - she couldn't think for herself!
So basically, Adam was a dumbass, not very woke and super self-entitled (at least that's what we can think now!). Poor Eve had no chance being made from said dumbass. Of course she was going to eat that apple. If Adam hadn't been an idiot and kept Lilith around, that wouldn't have happened.
I feel like the whole point of the story has been missed for so many centuries. It's been used as a way to show women are too stupid to think for themselves, but what it REALLY shows is that when a woman isn't allowed to think for herself, it all goes to Hell (literally). Eve wasn't allowed to be able to think for herself because she was made from Adam. She was designed that way. But Lilith wasn't! So of course Lilith stood up to Adam. She had no dumbass in her DNA!
What does Black Moon Lilith represent in astrology?
In astrology, Black Moon Lilith represents a variety of things. You'll quite often see Black Moon Lilith tied to sexual desires. This is from the part of the mythology where Lilith pushed back from not wanting to be sexually submissive, as well as some myths that show her as a succubus (sex demon). Really, Lilith is a sexually independent position astrologically. While having a prominent Black Moon Lilith can make you a more sexual person, it's not necessarily in the same way as say, Eros (asteroid of sex) or Pluto (ruler of sexuality). It's not having a super sex drive, it's not wanting to have lots of sexual partners, it's not being super sexually intense (depending on other placements, anyway). It's more of a, this is what I know I want and I don't want to be made to do anything I don't want, kind of thing. It can give a certain amount of sexual confidence and assertiveness. Remember, Lilith knew what she wanted (to be equal) and didn't want to be forced into what she didn't want (to be sexually submissive). This can also play out not just sexually, but with the areas of life ruled by the house and sign your natal Lilith is located. With these areas, you may know what you want and what you don't, and don't want to be forced into anything.
In practice, I've seen prominent and challenged natal Black Moon Lilith's also tend to have, shall we say, difficult relationships with their mothers. What happened to Lilith after being cast out varies in myths, but one of the most common is that she went nuts and killed babies (they sure had some very negative views of women!). I think it's really just representing the challenging relationship with the mother. Some of us have wonderful mothers and we love them to pieces; and some of us have Mommy Dearest. With challenged Black Moon Lilith, it tends to be abusive, dominating, controlling mother energy (rather than distant, neglectful, more Saturn stuff). There can also be a degree of your mother feeling threatened by you or competing with you (as Lilith was ousted and another replaced her).
Black Moon Lilith is also one of the witches in astrology. Apparently in the old texts, Lilith translates to night hag (which is derived from the Old English word meaning witch), so having a strong Lilith can show you're someone with strong mystical energy. Like Adam, Lilith was made from the Earth, so Lilith may give strong connections to the Earth, giving you access to the natural powers of the Earth. This energy can be scary when you're not ready for it, still need to mature, and are in challenging environments. But it's part of what can give you a great deal of power in life.
Which brings me to my favorite astrological representation for Lilith - a hidden inner power within us all that gives us the ability to stand up for ourselves, to speak up, and to not be quiet. Not be submissive. Not be ignored! This is often found by the sign and house placement in your natal chart of your Black Moon Lilith. For those with a strong Black Moon Lilith in the natal chart, you may end up having to undergo some of the Lilith transformation in your life before you can access the power (refusing to be forced to do what you don't want, fleeing from situations, being isolated, living with the anger/grief/fear, and then emerging). Embrace your inner Lilith!
June's new moon comes on the 3rd (6:02AM ET) in airy Gemini. Gemini new moons are great for lots of new ideas, coming up with new plans, gathering information, and sharing what we know. We can put a spotlight on what we know, what we share, and certain ideas and plans. We can get excited by them, but have to make sure we see things through if we take action with any of them.
We may want to be more positive, not wanting to focus too much on the negative, and instead look for options, possibilities, and try to think our way out. Our minds can be more active, and we may want to share with one another more, getting advice and opinions. We can freely share our own opinions, and try to be more open. And we can enjoy ourselves a little, and have a little fun.
We can keep ourselves busy, wanting to use up the extra mental energy we have, and can fill up our schedules with plenty to do. We can enjoy being around others and the mental stimulation company can provide.
This new moon occurs at 12 degrees 33 minutes Gemini. The aspects made to the new moon are: Conjunction: 10 degrees 33 minutes - 14 degrees 33 minutes Gemini Sextile: 10 degrees 33 minutes - 14 degrees 33 minutes Aries or Leo Square: 10 degrees 33 minutes - 14 degrees 33 minutes Virgo or Pisces Trine: 10 degrees 33 minutes - 14 degrees 33 minutes Libra or Aquarius Opposition: 10 degrees 33 minutes - 14 degrees 33 minutes Sagittarius
The full moon for June comes on the 17th (4:31AM ET) in fire sign Sagittarius. Sagittarius full moons tend to be lighter full moons, and we don't want to be overly serious. We can continue with a brighter outlook, and avoid getting into anything dark. We can look for the silver lining, but need to make sure we're not avoiding something we need to be paying attention to.
We can be more defensive of our beliefs, feeling emotionally connected to them, and stand up for what we believe. This can bring out some extra combative energy, so we have to work on maintaining an open mind and hearing one another.
We may need to watch what we say since we can stick our foots in our mouths at certain points, and some may be prone to overstating, inflating, boasting, and skirting. Stay in the truth!
Space is something we may need more of with this full moon, time to ourselves to do whatever we want without strings and responsibilities. That may not be fully possible, but a moment just for ourselves could do some good.
This full moon occurs at 25 degrees 53 minutes Sagittarius. The aspects made to the full moon are: Conjunction: 23 degrees 53 minutes - 27 degrees 53 minutes Sagittarius Sextile: 23 degrees 53 minutes - 27 degrees 53 minutes Libra or Aquarius Square: 23 degrees 53 minutes - 27 degrees 53 minutes Virgo or Pisces Trine: 23 degrees 53 minutes - 27 degrees 53 minutes Aries or Leo Opposition: 23 degrees 53 minutes - 27 degrees 53 minutes Gemin
The water signs in astrology are Cancer, Scorpio, and Pisces. This trio of signs are governed by the element of water, which is an important energy in their lives and personalities. Water signs tend to be emotional, intuitive, and nurturing; they can also be overly sensitive, subjective, and irrational.
In love, the water signs in astrology bring this emotional energy with them, and they're not usually too happy with just dating because of this. They prefer the safe space within relationships to express what they're feeling and feel supported by you. They can fall in love fast, and have a hard time falling out of love. Pisces can be the most sensitive of the trio, and needs some healthy boundaries so they don't get lost in relationships. Cancer can be super nurturing of those they love, cheerleading you through every triumph. Scorpio can take the longest to fall, but falls the hardest and strongest, loyal to a fault at times.
The water signs in astrology want and need relationships. They need people in their lives who help soothe them emotionally and make them feel safe. When they have that, they can stick by you no matter what. When they don't feel safe, they tend to go off of the rails. Scorpio may try to hide it, but they can become the most pessimistic and sour without some healthy love in their life. Cancer may be the most open, but can also be the best self-soother of the group, so they may be able to hold out longer. Pisces is so in tune with the subtle energies all around them that they may use that as their partner while single.
When it comes to romance, the water signs can be incredibly romantic, even dark Scorpio! Given they're so in tune with their emotions, they love sappy romantic gestures and appreciate affection, even yearn for it. They can go without romance, but it won't be a good thing for them for too long. They need someone who can spice things up sometimes since they might avoid it.
When it comes to passion, the water signs can be full of it, but it's channeled through their emotions. If they don't feel the emotional connection with you, then they won't get fully revved up. They may try, but to no avail. They want intimacy to be full of emotional connection, first and foremost. Casual flings won't satisfy them fully. And when they're feeling off emotionally, this may impact their desire, even though it may have nothing to do with you.
Coming out of a relationship, the water signs in astrology can have a supremely difficult time. Perhaps the hardest! It's because they fall so hard and let themselves get so emotionally invested. Even if it doesn't appear so on the outside, they may feel like the world has flipped upside-down after a breakup. They need to do a better job of guarding themselves emotionally so they aren't so thrown. Healthy boundaries can do them a world of good. Pisces can get the most invested and lose themselves with others, however they can also be the most prone to cheating since they can get lost in the imagination of it all. But they'll also be the most likely to forgive you of it. Cancer can shut themselves off from others when they've had their heart broken, and can keep themselves alone for a long time. Scorpio can have it the hardest given their loyalty, but it may come out as rage and hatred toward you.
If you end up with a water sign in love, this can be someone you share a deep emotional bond with, who you know will be loyal and have your back, and who supports you through all of life's trials.
The air signs in astrology are Gemini, Libra, and Aquarius. This trio of signs are governed by the element of air, which is a prevailing energy in their lives and personalities. Air signs tend to be intellectual, sociable, and engaging; they can also be scattered, flighty, and superficial.
In love, the air signs in astrology bring this intellectual airy energy with them, and they tend to enjoy both dating and being in relationships. They can find someone new fairly quickly with their charm and social abilities, and more than anything, they want someone to talk to and stimulate their mind. Gemini has endless curiosity they want you to match, while Libra has a pleasant way for communicating and doesn't want big fights, and Aquarius can open you up to brand new perspectives you never would've thought of.
The air signs in astrology can be comfortable single and committed. Either way works fine, what's most important to them is that they find an equal partner they feel connected to intellectually. Gemini can be the one who likes to date the most, but has a surprisingly loyal side to them once they find someone they respect intellectually. Libra is the sign of commitment so is the most apt to commit of the air signs, but wants interdependent relationships. Aquarius is the most likely to just be alone, not date or commit, until they find someone that intrigues them endlessly.
When it comes to romance, the air signs can have a good appreciation for it, but they generally want to be romanced rather than do it themselves. They take a more head-y approach to romance, so they may write love letters or poetry or songs for someone they adore. While they do appreciate romance, they can do just as well hanging out in a quiet restaurant talking for hours.
When it comes to passion, the air signs can seem very cool on the outside. It can take a lot to really rev them up. Being the intellectual signs, talking can be their foreplay! You want to turn them on? Talk to them! (even talk dirty!) The air signs wants passion to not just be physical, but mental as well. If they don't feel turned on by you mentally, they're not really interested.
Coming out of a relationship, the air signs in astrology can have an easy time. They rarely have a shortage of potential suitors, and rarely have a hard time finding someone new. Because of their intellectual approach, they can guard themselves emotionally by keeping a cool distance to protect themselves. When you really want an air sign, you need to get them to open up emotionally. Sometimes, when they are hurt after a breakup, they will jump into something fast with someone else to either try to forget about you or try to hurt you. But most often, if they're really into you, they may just cut themselves off emotionally from someone else for a long time.
If you end up with an air sign in love, this can be someone you can share your visions of life with, who you can talk with about anything, and who can keep life interesting, varied, and open up new worlds for you.
The earth signs in astrology are Taurus, Virgo, and Capricorn. This trio of signs are governed by the element of earth, which is a dominant energy in their lives and personalities. Earth signs tend to be practical, grounded, focused, and hard-working; they can also be stubborn, pessimistic, and avoid change.
In love, the earth signs in astrology bring this practical earthy energy with them, and tend to be the ones that are more willing the commit. Aimless dating usually doesn't fit these signs too well, and they want to find someone compatible, but won't rush too fast, willing to take their time. Taurus can take the longest, needing some certainty first, while Virgo usually wants you to make the first move, and Capricorn tends to have a list of what they want in someone.
In spite of often taking longer to move into a relationship, the earth signs in astrology can be quicker to commit. They're not so scared of that idea, and feel it can be a practical thing to do. They don't care too much for anything too wild, so committing helps them to secure their lives. As a fixed sign, Taurus can be the most loyal - stubbornly so sometimes! Virgo needs some assurance that you reciprocate and will show them the same kind of loyalty, otherwise they may become anxious (and the neurotic Virgo comes in!). Capricorn just may need to work on balancing their dedication to their endeavors with their dedication to you.
When it comes to romance, the earth signs in astrology tend to opt for more subtle gestures, and usually don't go for anything too flashy. Taurus and Virgo in particular may find that to be too much. Capricorn may go for it more, but if it's too over the top, they may think you're overcompensating for something. The little things can go a long way with the earth signs.
When it comes to passion, the earth signs are usually the ones that are difficult to get going, but once they do, they can be surprisingly passionate. You may need to instigate things and it may take a little time to get them interested, but block out some time when you get them going! Don't mistake them not jumping into physical intimacy quickly as them not being interested in you though. They just need more time.
Coming out of a relationship, the earth signs in astrology can have a hard time. Because they can be so loyal, they may not let go quickly. They just won't show it too much on the outside since they're not the biggest fans of outward emotional displays, so they may seem like they don't care on the outside, but they're a total mess inside. Taurus may be more obvious because rage may come out! Virgo may seem more anxious, while Capricorn tries to play it as cool as possible, wanting to give the appearance of not caring when they actually do.
If you end up with an earth sign in love, this can be someone who helps you feel you're on more solid ground in life, who you generally don't have to worry about straying, and who can be a rock for you emotionally.
The fire signs in astrology are Aries, Leo, and Sagittarius. This trio of signs are governed by the element of fire, and this is infused in their personalities. They tend to be enthusiastic, optimistic, spunky, full of life, and up for action; they can also be impulsive, impatient, and have fiery tempers.
In love, the fire signs in astrology bring that fiery energy with them, and tend to be more willing to take action when they find someone they're interested in. They each may do so in their own way; Aries is more willing to take to first step while Leo turns up the flirting to grab your attention and Sagittarius lays the path for you to follow them on a grand adventure.
While the fire signs in astrology can be quicker to start something, they often take longer to actually commit. Leo tends to have the easier time since Leo is a fixed sign, so as long as they're getting enough attention, they'll settle down. Sagittarius tends to be the hardest, especially if it's dominant in the chart or in the relationship areas of the chart. Sagittarius doesn't like feeling tied down, which can be difficult in a relationship, so they need someone who gives them a ton of space. Aries is the one in the middle, but when they do want to commit, they'll often push for it themselves. Pushing them into it may not work!
When it comes to romance, the fire signs in astrology find a lot of enjoyment in it. Leo loves for you to dote on them and make a big splash (copying a scene from their favorite romance will win you a lot of points!). Aries likes to do the romancing, and can come up with fun ways to court you. Sagittarius may want romance to be more adventurous.
When it comes to passion, the fire signs are usually not lacking at all! And they tend to have a hard time faking it, so if they're really into you, you'll know it, and if they're not, there's no real hiding it. They tend to be quicker to want to jump into physical intimacy, so a little restraint may benefit them and help guard their hearts a little better.
Coming out of a relationship, the fire signs in astrology can let go quicker than others. Aries can move to someone else fairly quickly (they're usually never short on potential suitors anyway), and since Sagittarius always wants the space, they can focus on that. Leo may have the hardest time, and may hold on longer, but even they can drop it eventually. Where the fiery energy tends to come out is if they feel you've wronged them - definitely don't cheat on them! Then they may set fire to your stuff (literally!).
If you can snag a fire sign in love and keep 'em around, then you've got someone who you can have a lot of fun with, makes you laugh, and helps bring a little brightness in your world.
So you may have heard of a little K-pop boy band called BTS (if you randomly hear the sounds of screaming 14-year-olds, it's probably from them). I'm an old person, so I didn't come to know of them until last year. I totally get the crazy fandom - I was exactly like them when I was 13 with a little boy band called NSYNC and a curly-haired blond named Justin Timberlake. Most of my friends were Backstreet Boys fans and loved Nick Carter - I think we know who the smart one was!
But even I can admit, as much I still have a soft spot for NSYNC, BTS is like someone took the best parts of every prior boy band to create a super-hybrid boy band 2.0. There's not one weak link, their videos are great, their choreography is great, they're great performers, they're great dancers, their music is catchy, they can sing, they can rap - and in 2 languages! So I bow down to the ARMY in recognition of their supremacy.
They seem to be hitting a rare kind of high, and I believe it was Elton John who said that when you hit this kind of high, it lasts for about 5 years and you can do almost anything and it'll be gold.
So I wanted to check out their astrology. I figured there had to be something interesting there. I wrote an article before about the astrology of fame, relating it to the popularity of the Twilight trio (Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, and Taylor Lautner), and I find that Uranus and Neptune are the super fame-makers. Uranus makes sense since Uranus rules the masses, and fame puts you in front of a lot of people. With Neptune, this is the foggy planet, making people see you as they want to see you (like their soul mate!). And Neptune rules music, so tied to musicians (and tends to be good for actors since they need to put on other faces).
In pulling up the charts for each of the BTS members, all of them have positions at 15+ degrees Capricorn - namely Uranus and Neptune! Most of them were born with Uranus conjunct Neptune in Capricorn. Yoongi has Neptune at 20 and Uranus at 21 degrees Capricorn; J-Hope has Neptune at 22 and Uranus at 24 degrees Capricorn; Jimin has Neptune at 22 and Uranus at 26 degrees Capricorn; Namjoon has Neptune at 20 and Uranus at 22 degrees Capricorn; Jin has Uranus at 16, Neptune at 17, and Venus at 24 degrees Capricorn; Jungkook has Neptune at 27 degrees (he's the only one with just one planet, being the baby); and V has a loadup in Capricorn with Sun (7 degrees), Mars (22 degrees), Neptune (24 degrees), Mercury (26 degrees), and Uranus (29 degrees) - talk about a super Capricorn! V might be able to make this ride last a little longer.
Transit (moving) Pluto is conjuncting these points for them now, and started to hit some of these points last year. Once Jupiter hit Scorpio (in 2017), Jupiter began a period of 5 years making positive aspects (kinda linking up to what Elton said!). Next year, we're going to have a Capricorn mashup with Jupiter, Saturn, and Pluto all coming together in Capricorn (and Mars for part of the time too, and some of the eclipses). That's going to happen conjunct much of their Capricorn energy, so if possible, they may get even bigger! Plus Transit Neptune will be sextile (positive aspect) most of these points as well.
I find it interesting that natally, they all seem to have a lot of Virgo, Libra, Scorpio, and Capricorn. They also all seem to have some an important Saturn, Moon, or Aries/Mars in their charts. Wonder if the people who put them together looked at their charts! There's just a lot of similar energy. The themes of their music make a lot of sense with Libra and Scorpio (governing others and our connections to them), as well as the Saturn/Moon/Aries/Mars (prompting more reflection on the self/emotions/responsibilities). There's also not a hint of toxic masculinity in their charts - how refreshing!
I'm sure the kids want to see their charts with a little analysis, so here we go:
J-Hope - Born Feb 18, 1994 in Gwangju, South Korea - Chart from astro-charts.com
J-Hope (or Hoseok) is an Aquarius Sun and Mars, and the Sun is most likely anaretic (unless he was born super early that day). This can make him more dynamic, though he also has to work on maintaining a solid sense of self. It's interesting his nickname too - Aquarius rules hope! He's a Mercury retrograde native in Pisces, conjunct Venus and Saturn, so he's got his own way of viewing things, of expressing himself, and may take time to open up to new people. Pluto is on his North Node in Pluto's home sign of Scorpio with Jupiter also in Scorpio, so he's capable of having a great deal of power in his life, but opposing the Moon, he needs to make sure he keeps it in check and doesn't let it overwhelm/overtake or lead him down bad roads later.
Jimin - Born October 13, 1995 in Busan, South Korea - chart from astro-charts.com
Jimin is a Libra Sun, another air sign (to go with J-Hope's Aquarius Sun, an air sign), and his Sun is conjunct his North Node. This is actually a lucky position! In Libra, he was going to find success with partners. He's also a Mercury retrograde native, so he's got his own way of expressing himself and viewing the world too, but conjunct Chiron, adding to depth. He's got Venus, Mars, and Pluto all in Scorpio, so he's got quite a bit of depth to him in spite of that light Gemini Moon. His Jupiter is a singleton as his only fire sign planet, and is in the sign Jupiter naturally rules, Sagittarius, and this can add to his luck. He's also undergone his Jupiter Return with transit Jupiter in Sagittarius, which can be a time of opportunity and luck.
Jin - Born December 4, 1992 in Gwacheon-dong, South Korea - chart from astro-charts.com
Jin is a Sagittarius Sun, and like Jimin, on the North Node - luck! And the ruler, Jupiter is in Libra, bringing again luck with others. We tend to really like the people we have Jupiter connections with; Jin has Jupiter in Libra, Jimin's Sun sign, and Jimin has Jupiter in Sagittarius, Jin's Sun sign - so I wonder how well they get along? Anyways, Jin's Mercury is conjunct Pluto in Scorpio, also giving him the depth He may think about things quite intensely and want to understand more. I like the Scorpio/Sagittarius combination too, it gives someone the ability to gain a lot of life wisdom. With his Capricorn trio, he's definitely ambitious; but they oppose his retrograde Mars in Cancer, so he may struggle with his Mars energy and likely needs to learn how to stand up for himself, be more assertive, and take charge.
Jungkook - Born September 1, 1997 in Busan, South Korea - chart from astro-charts.com
And here we go again, another one with Sun on the North Node! This was a group bound for success, apparently. Jungkook's Sun is in Virgo, so his success comes through hard work. He's also a Mercury retrograde native conjunct his Sun, so he's also got his own perspective and way of expressing himself. I'd guess all of this Mercury retrograde energy in the group is part of why they have such positive messaging. His Moon could be in Leo or Virgo depending on time of birth, but I'd bet Leo given his attraction to the arts and performing. He has Venus at home in Libra, which normally likes to keep the peace; he has Mars in Scorpio an a singleton (only water sign planet), and Saturn in Aries (which is naturally ruled by Mars), so there may be some issues with being assertive for him too. No wonder these boys struck me as so gentle!
Namjoon - Born September 12, 1994 in Goyang, South Korea - chart from astro-charts.com
Namjoon (or RM, Rap Monster) is a Virgo Sun and Libra Mercury, which is an analytical pairing. His Mercury is a singleton as his only air sign planet, increasing that analytical energy. His Sun is conjunct Chiron in Virgo, so he likely feels any wounds deeply, personally (and with opposing Saturn, he should always take care of his health). With a Cancer Mars, he's likely quite sensitive; yet with his Sagittarius Moon, tries to see the brighter side. He's treated as the leader of the group, which may be a combination of his Mercury and his Venus, Jupiter, and Pluto all in Scorpio with his North Node. He's capable of a lot of power with Pluto, and can grow comfortable with that with Venus and Jupiter.
V - Born December 30, 1995 in Daegu, South Korea - chart from astro-charts.com
V (or Taehyung) is the super Capricorn! Sun, Mercury, Mars, Uranus, and Neptune, so he is quite the Capricorn. Not just ambitious, but with a singular focus (how fitting 'Singularity' was one of his solo releases). His Jupiter is anaretic in home sign Sagittarius (More luck), and he's going through his Jupiter Return this year. His Venus is a singleton as his only air sign planet in Aquarius, and his Saturn is a singleton as his only water sign planet in Pisces, so he may need to work on more personal connections, plus with an Aries South Node, he may be someone who prefers doing things on his own, but actually needs others with his North Node in Libra. That North Node is conjunct Chiron, so addressing any potential relationship issues or hurts is good for him.
Yoongi - Born March 9, 1993 in Daegu, South Korea - chart from astro-charts.com
Yoongi (or Suga, or Agust D) is the lone water sign Sun in the group with a Pisces Sun, and it's conjunct yet another retrograde Mercury. He's likely highly sensitive and may have a hard time processing that at times, particularly if his Moon is Virgo (could be Virgo or Libra, I'd bet Virgo). With a Leo Chiron, the arts and creative expression expression are healing for him. His Venus is a singleton as his only fire sign planet in Aries; I find Aries Venus folks tend to attract a lot of attention and love! So they have to learn how to manage that. He has a cardinal grand cross in his chart, so there's a lot of energy available to him that he can control and direct productively with effort. His North Node in Sagittarius shows the writing path is likely the one he should stay with permanently.

May's new moon occurs on the 4th (6:46PM ET) in earthy Taurus. Taurus new moons are good times to focus on stability and security, and to calm everything down. We can take our time, and we can focus on taking action only when we feel ready and want to. Can't be pushed into anything!
We can work to feel more confident, on more solid ground internally and externally, and it can be good energy for grounding exercises. Feel one with the Earth, with nature, with the energies all around you. This provides a solid base to grow from, as Taurus wants.
Taurus does rule finances, so this can be a good new moon to pursue financial opportunities, and work to improve your financial situation. We can stick with what we start, and focus on abundance in many areas of our lives. We want to feel as though we are surrounded with plenty of everything, and can be a little indulgent, so we may need to work on exercising moderation.
Taurus can be a stubborn sign, so we do need to watch for being stuck in our places and unwilling to budge. It's good to believe in what you do whole-heartedly, but not good to have a closed mind and heart. A little flexibility and an open ear for listening can be a good thing.
This new moon is the first with Uranus now in Taurus, though it doesn't conjunct (align with) Uranus and is just in the same sign. Nevertheless, this may help bring out more of the new Uranus in Taurus energy, and we can have a little more pep in our step than usual, and can work on the new, the change, and the grand plans for the future.
This new moon occurs at 14 degrees 10 minutes in Taurus. The aspects to this new moon are: Conjunction: 12 degrees 10 minutes - 16 degrees 10 minutes Taurus Sextile: 12 degrees 10 minutes - 16 degrees 10 minutes Cancer or Pisces Square: 12 degrees 10 minutes - 16 degrees 10 minutes Leo or Aquarius Trine: 12 degrees 10 minutes - 16 degrees 10 minutes Virgo or Capricorn Opposition: 12 degrees 10 minutes - 16 degrees 10 minutes Scorpio
May's full moon occurs on the 18th (5:12PM ET) in serious Scorpio. Scorpio is the most intense sign, full of passion and depth, and so full moons in Scorpio tend to be highly emotionally charged as we deal with serious situations and face the darker aspects of life. Our will can be strong, and this can help us get through, but we can also be prone to extreme emotions, especially hatred, rage, and envy. We need to have healthy, positive outlets for these emotions so we don't let them take over and make us do something we regret later.
We can be deeply in tune with our emotions, with situations, with people, and we can get wrapped up in whatever we're focused on at the moment. We have to be careful we don't get obsessed, otherwise we can dig ourselves so far down the rabbit hole that it takes forever and a day to get out of. Be mindful of going too far and pill back when needed. It is good energy for unraveling, investigating, and getting to the heart of important matters. What once was shrouded in darkness can be revealed.
This full moon can bring something out of the depths and into the light that becomes exposed under some harsh reality, and this is to force us to make a transformation for the better. This is excellent energy for transforming, so think about some part of your life that could use a breath of fresh air and do what you can to make it better.
The natural ruler of Scorpio is Pluto, who is retrograde (appearing to move backward) for this full moon, so we may spend more time reflecting as well.
This full moon occurs at 27 degrees 38 minutes in Scorpio. The aspects to this full moon are: Conjunction: 25 degrees 38 minutes - 29 degrees 38 minutes Scorpio Sextile: 25 degrees 38 minutes - 29 degrees 38 minutes Virgo or Capricorn Square: 25 degrees 38 minutes - 29 degrees 38 minutes Leo or Aquarius Trine: 25 degrees 38 minutes - 29 degrees 38 minutes Cancer or Pisces Opposition: 25 degrees 38 minutes - 29 degrees 38 minutes Taurus
