Gone are the days when some public events involving the LGBTQ communities like the pride celebrations, outdoor grilling parties and LGBTQ celebrations were being despised, shunned and perceived as taboo by many people. Nowadays this minority group can freely organize, arrange and conduct their parties with little or no public interferences. Thanks to set various initiatives set up by both governmental and non-governmental organizations to educate the members of the public that gay rights are also human rights. However, some of the people in these homosexual communities are still finding it difficult on how they can successfully organize and conduct those public events on themselves.
This article specifically serves to educate the people in the LGBTQ community on how they can prepare the best outdoor grilling party for pride celebrations.
Pride celebration is a memorable event which comes once in a while just the same as other popular events like Ramadan for Muslims, and Christmas for Christians. Therefore it is of paramount importance for those who are involved to maximize their commemorations and celebrations. Although it lasts for the entire month of June, people tend to gather momentum in the first days. This is when marches, parties and other events are carried out. Now for those who prefer to hold frequent outdoor grilling parties during that time of the year, here are the best ideas that could make your celebrations joyous and memorable ones:
• PLAN THE DATE FOR THE PARTY Before you set out anything for your outdoor grilling party, during the pride celebration month, the first thing you’ve to consider is the date for the event. By doing so you’ll be able to make some invitations which are central to that date. Advisably, the event should occur during the weekend days so that the number of invitees’ attendance will not be disappointing due to a conflict with other personal commitments like work and studying.
• VENUE FOR THE PARTY Find an ideal place at which you would want to conduct the party. This should be adequate enough to accommodate all the people you would want to invite. Some considerations for the venue include the availability of enough space for tent pitching, dancing stages, electricity to support the would-be available media equipment and other sorts of appliances to be used All this depends on circumstances on the ground, so the best choice for one doesn’t mean to be of the other.
• INVITE PEOPLE The party is solely meant for people who are LGBTQs and others who are loyal to that group. So the invitations to be made should not be directed to anyone who would not be welcome at the party. Guests should be strictly informed about the maximum number of people they should bring with them. The invitations for this kind of event are almost non-formal so there are no strict rules to be followed when conducting them: phone calls, email chats and text messages can work perfectly well unless for people who would play the important roles like the guest of honour, who might come from a government ministry.
• MEAT AND GRILLING STUFF This like charcoal and/or lighters should be made readily available. Also, meat has to be sourced in its different types in order to accommodate everyone. Sausage, beef steak, bacon and chicken among others have to be outsourced in time Automatically there should also be a variety of sauces and veggies with which will use when grilling the meat.
• ACCOUNT FOR ALL WHAT’S REQUIRED Now we can talk about all the things which make the party enjoyable like music, food, drinks, grilling skewers or other cooking necessities. This is an infinite category which depends on your own and your guests’ known personal preferences. I would urge you to have diversity in all aspects: that is buying different types of drinks, beer, and arranging a mixed music genre to enable everyone to enjoy the party.
It is a common phenomenon at a party that some people have allergic conditions which limit them from consuming certain products like those with milk, pork and strong drinks. Therefore I recommend the party organizer to be accommodative for everyone who will be available.
