The Guild is open to designers, illustrators, artists, and students within our industry. The majority of our members provide commercial design services, often intended for large scale production, for a variety of markets including apparel, home furnishing, home fashion and tabletop, quilting and crafts, paper products, and even electronics.
The Surface Pattern Design Guild is excited to continue its exploration into designing hand made products and selling them. September 13th the SPDG will be hosting textile designer Jenny Lennick. Jenny is the owner of Jenny Lemons, a small-batch clothing company in San Francisco with a retail shop in the vibrant Mission District.
Jenny will be talking to the SPDG about her process of designing, hand printing and hand painting fabric as well as the challenges of running her own business.
Check out more of Jenny’s whimsical and mouth watering patterns at Jenny Lemons, or drop by the shop at 3043 24th Street, San Francisco. Shop hours are Tues-Friday 2-7 and Sat-Sun 12-7. The shop also carries work by other local artists and offers on site workshops.
Join us on Thursday the 13th, 7 pm at The Finnish Hall in Berkeley, CA.
