Supergirl will be sporting a new suit when the hit CW television series kicks off it's fifth season on Sunday, October 6th at 9:00PM. Actress Melissa Benoist took to Instagram to share a first look at the new costume which ditches the character's skirt in favor of pants as well as a few subtle changes that result in the suit looking more similar to actor Tyler Hoechlin's Superman costume.

Ads promoting the release of the Zack Snyder cut of "Justice League" have been posted in a few areas around the San Diego Convention Center where Comic-Con will take place this coming weekend. Thus far, #ReleaseTheSnyderCut ads have been spotted on a large billboard near the convention center and at a bus stop location which is on the route fans will be taking to Comic-Con.

"Supergirl" actress Melissa Benoist has been nominated for "Best Actress on a Television Series" for her role as Kara Danvers/Supergirl while actors David Harewood (J'onn J'onzz/Martian Manhunter) and Jon Cryer (Lex Luthor) will compete for "Best Supporting Actor on a Television Series" and "Best Guest Starring Performance on a Television Series", respectively. "Krypton" actor Cameron Cuffe who stars in the lead role of Superman's grandfather, Seg-El on the hit SYFY series has received a nomination for "Best Performance by a Younger Actor on a Television Series". Both series will also be competing against one another in the category of "Best Superhero Television Series".

DC announced today plans to put a twisted and terrifying spin on some of the biggest, most game-changing events in its publishing history with a series of prestige format one-shots called TALES FROM THE DARK MULTIVERSE. Television Group and TV Guide Magazine (TVGM) are celebrating more than 100 incredible women who star in the Studio's Comic-Con-related series on a special "Powerhouse" cover of the magazine's annual Warner Bros.-themed SDCC special issue. In addition to the groundbreaking all-women cover, fans that are anxiously awaiting Batwoman's arrival in Gotham City, Riverdale viewers who are missing Archie and the gang, and Supernatural devotees gearing up for the show's 15th and final season can collect three additional collectible covers featuring these series. Actress Helen Slater will be in attendance at a double feature screening of "Superman: The Movie" and "Supergirl" which takes place Friday, July 26th at 7:30pm at the historic Egyptian Theatre in Hollywood, CA. Prior to the screening of "Supergirl", Slater will participate in a discussion about the 1984 film in which she starred as the title character alongside such famous actors as Faye Dunaway, Peter O'Toole, and Mia Farrow.

Actor Eddie Jones who played the role of Jonathan "Pa" Kent" on the hit ABC television "Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman" has passed away at the age of 82. Jones starred in the role of Clark Kent's adoptive father for all four seasons of the series alongside Dean Cain as Clark/Superman, Teri Hatcher as Lois Lane, and K. Callan as Martha "Ma" Kent.

Actors Tom Welling and Michael Rosenbaum will be appearing at the upcoming Fan Expo Boston convention which takes place August 16th - 18th, 2019 at the Boston Convention & Exhibition Center in Boston, MA. Both Welling and Rosenbaum will be in attendance on Saturday and Sunday during the convention to meet fans, sign autographs, and pose for photo-ops.
