An impeccable nursery, sweet sleepy newborn and super chill parents...I was obsessed to say the least. I love that I get to work with families and newborns a few times a year. They bring a fresh sense of appreciation to my work and life. And who doesn't want to stare at squishy babies for an hour?! :) Loved meeting and working with The McCoy Family!! Enjoy some of my favorites below!
If you'd like to book a newborn session with me please get in touch soon as I don't take on a lot of these sessions. You can fill out a contact form, here.
Oh how I love this family! I had the privilege of photographing Brooke's wedding back in 2016 and now her sister, Cierra's, this past December. What an honor to be able to work with their family again! Cierra and Corey had a stunning winter wedding. I especially loved the bridesmaids sparkly gold dresses that paired perfectly with Cierra's long sleeve lace wedding dress. It was a perfect mix of Christmas and New Year's. We've gotten to know Cierra and Corey best through playing slow-pitch softball with and against them so we were super excited to spend this special day with them.
Cierra and Corey held their ceremony at their home church, Hagood Avenue Baptist Church. It was a delight to see a majority of the same people celebrating the growth of these families as had been at Brooke and Tyler’s wedding. The reception was also another venue familiar to the family, Sweetwater Country Club. These two had a blast dancing not only together but with many family and friends as well. There were some pass-the-mic opportunities that brought lots of laughs along with plenty of memorable moments. The evening wound down with a sparkler exit, which is my favorite type of exit! Enjoy my favorites from the day below!

Oh what a beautiful wedding! Mackenzie and Hamp’s amazing sense of style was on full display as all of their plans came together throughout the day. This was one of those special WINTER weddings (emphasis on Winter because it was chilly!). Not only are these two very outgoing and a pleasure to be around, they were such naturals in front of the camera I wondered at times if we were photographing models!
There were so many moving moments during the ceremony as tears of joy were shed throughout the church. Before we left the church for the reception there was a magical sparkler and firework exit. They drove away in a Thunderbird that triggered the fireworks for a fitting close to this first part of their special day.
Mackenzie and Hamp’s reception didn’t disappoint. They chose an awesome venue, 701 Whaley, that provided a great atmosphere for the evening. With all of their family and friends celebrating with them they danced the night away. One special treat was a bluegrass band composed of members of Mackenzie’s family. They provided a perfect toe-tapping twist to an already memorable occasion. Enjoy some of my favorites below!

I've known Shannon since high school and it was so fun to see her beaming with excitement, sporting a new engagement ring. I met her and Travis in Charleston for their session. We explored downtown and the area around Creek Club at I'on, where they will be getting married at later this year. Everything was so beautiful! Travis and Shannon are perfect together! They are incredibly chill and so easy to photograph. I'm thrilled we get to be a part of their wedding!! It's always special when I get to reconnect with friends from so many years ago. Enjoy my favorites below!
I'm so happy Lance and Kaitlyn found us on Instagram! They are such a sweet and adorable couple. It was awesome meeting and hanging out with them in their hometown in NC for this shoot. They are incredibly easy to photograph and I love their curly hair!! Trent, the kids, and I were finally all together for a trip. We got to stay in a "tiny home" through Air BnB, which was an awesome experience. Taking photos of this gorgeous couple (with some amazing golden sunset light) was a perfect 2 day get away. We can't wait for their wedding this fall!
I loved making this post for last year, so here we are again for 2017! Huge thank you to all of these wonderful bride and grooms for trusting us to capture their wedding days in 2017! It was another awesome year. We are honored to work with so many wonderful people. We are forever grateful for you!
All of these photos are completely candid from weddings in 2017. And when we say candid, we mean candid, no posing was involved at all.
I haven't had a chance to blog every wedding from this year (we are also shooting our last wedding of the year today) but if you see an image you like, click on it, and it will take you to that wedding's blog post!
Also, as you can see, I love black and white photos. Sorry there are so many haha! Here are the favorites (in no particular order)
I went from playing middle school softball with Mackenzie to photographing her wedding. I have known her for so long and always loved how sweet, outgoing and fun person she is. There is never a dull moment around her and she is always the "life of the party". I just love her! It was such a joy to be able to be a part of this wonderful time in her life. Witnessing her marriage to Hamp was the sweetest and I can't wait to share their wedding photos. Until then, I'll share her bridal portraits. She is a beauty in every. single. photo.! Enjoy some of my favorites!!
I remember this girl when she was a baby!! What! How is she a senior!? Man time flies. Shelby is super creative and talented. She does a lot of work with film and I seriously can't wait to watch her grow in her passion. Nothing makes me happier than a fellow artist :)! I loved how natural she was in front of the camera...I don't know if having a background in film helps but she certainly knew what she was doing haha! Shelby you are stunning and I'm so excited for your future and can't wait to hear what school you decide to attend! Enjoy my favs below!
Also, we squeezed in some family portraits during Shelby's session. Love this family!
So pumped to show all these sweet images from my best friend's engagement! Colt proposed to Lindsey and it was my honor to be there to capture it. I have never been so nervous to take a series of photos haha! I remember as they were walking up my hands were shaking! This has never happened before! All the nerves were getting to me because I was so excited for Lindsey and wanted everything to be perfect. Luckily everything went great and of course, she said yes. Way too excited for these two and their upcoming marriage. Aren't they just absolutely beautiful? :)
