Sudio's very first wireless earbuds and I’ve had the opportunity them for a few months now (heck maybe longer but I wouldn't be able to give an honest tried and tested review if I didnt would I?).
I must say, it’s a great.. wait scratch that, definitely better option than the Apple AirPods’ price tag and also design wise.
It is retailing for S$165 which is about RM425, it's definitely a cheaper option than other branded wireless earbuds out there.
These earbuds exudes a minimal look as they have two colour options which are; matte black or white. The kit includes a selection of three different-sized rubber tips to get a comfortable fit in your ears. When in your ears, I love how they don’t look comical, and they fit me quite snugly. The earbuds are slightly larger than your standard earphones, but they are light enough that you will quickly forget that you’re wearing them, plis they don't just hang from your ears if you get what I mean.
Elegantly packed with a minimalist feel to it, it comprises of a charging case, two pairs of ear tips with different sizes, and a short Micro USB cable for charging. I personally love the leather rope attached to the charging case, as it allows you to carry it, or even hang it on to your bag if you wish! Plus, once the earbuds are in the case, there's no worrying of them dropping out or such as they stick like a magnet securely in it.
Each earbud has a single circular button on the outside, which are the only way for you to interact with the earphones from pairing them, to switching them on, to pausing the audio.
The process of turning on the headphones were a breeze to me as all I needed to do was to take them out of the case, press and hold the buttons on both of the headphones and wait for it to start blinking a blue and red light which shows that theyre ready to be paired.
If you've already connected them to your device before than you would not need to hold on to the buttons for as long, they'll find each other and connect automatically. The Nivas were easy to pair with other Bluetooth devices, with no additional app necessary to access all its features.
Type: 6.2 mm dynamic drivers
Sensitivity: 105 dB SPL @ 1 kHz
Battery Life: 3.5 hours (Earbuds)
Battery Capacity: 55 mAh (Earbuds), 500 mAh (Charging Case)
Impedance: 32 Ohm @ 1kHz
Frequency Response: 18 Hz – 22 kHz
Bluetooth: Bluetooth 4.2
Despite its looks, the Sudio Niva features a dynamic 6.2 mm driver that is said to bring you clear and crisp sound while still allowing the bass to pack a punch. Plus, it is noise cancelling. Well least to me!
The Nivas were easy on the ears even with the secure fit, with no slippage during moments of physical activity. I'm talking about, gyming, running, rushing through the airport, falling asleep with them on; they would still be there! In terms of comfort, the Nivas did good on me.
Also being able to receive phone calls was also a fairly hassle-free experience, with the inbuilt microphones doing a reasonable job and none of my callers complained about me sounding bad or such, it could pass off as if I was holding my phone!
What comes in the box when you purchase a Sudio Niva?
1 x Nivå Earbuds
3 x Pairs of Ear Tips
1 x Charging Case
1 x Micro USB Charging Cable
1 x Manual
1 x Quality Assurance Card
To my surprise, the audio quality did not disappoint. The bass is punchy which I like, and it doesn’t crack under loud volume. The sound quality on the Niva are as good as you can get for the price range, and the sound stage is rather impressive with also how it helps cancel any outside noise.
The charging case is convenient, and holds enough juice to get you through a day and some – so battery life isn’t an immediate concern with these headphones as it is with other truly wireless offerings and it's simple and not bulky.
I would recommend the Sudio Nivas to people on the go who would appreciate good sound quality but also don't have the time or the time to figure out confusing wireless earbuds that might even need apps to be downloaded and such.
I also do appreciate the aesthetics of them being a great-looking pair of earphones with pretty good sound quality, one that provides wearers with the convenience of mobility and a decent amount of battery life to boot.
Recently, I got the luxury to attend the unveiling of ALDO’s latest collection at The Colony, KL Eco City.
Adding a little zest to your Spring ’19 wardrobe, the Zest For Life collection will be available from April onwards at all ALDO stores nationwide!
Rather than your typical floral appliques and design that most fashion collections adorn, ALDO has stepped it up with a fresh new twist. Bright colours that will pop and make any outfit stand out! Or feeling a little low key? Not to worry, you can opt for the softer pastel colours.
I’m already feeling all dreamy and warm inside out!
With that said, I myself is very taken by the new collection and is super excited to be rocking some of them this Spring! As we live in a country where there’s only one season, this collection could be your daily go to. The finishing touches on every piece is detailed and immaculate which is why I love ALDO and have been a fan since I bought my first pair of heels from them!
Lately we’ve been seeing more retro and vintage trends and looks being brought back to date with a touch of the current. These chunky slide on heels or also known as Gwurka mules are so comfy and easy to pair with!
Got a meeting with the boss to attend to and will be running around the whole day? Opt for the nude suede or black faux leather to give you that extra boost of confidence while not having to worry about aches and pain day after.
Feeling rather girly or experimental? Put on the fuchsia pink mules for that pop of colour that can take any simple plain outfit to another level. Need something to pull off that flowy sundress for afternoon tea with the girlfriends? How about the beautiful pastel blue!
If you love matching accessories, guess what? You can have a matching bag to go with! Simple yet stylish, the simplistic design with a pop of colour from the scarf laced up on top of the handle, finishing it off with classic gold hardware, you have the complete Spring look to die for.
These cross-body sling bags might look small but can hold your daily needs. Plus, this season is all about clean lines and edges, nothing screams trend alert than these gorgeously built boxy bags!
ALDO did not forget ‘bout the lads, not to worry. Always wanted to rock that chino pants but only had a cupboard full of sneakers and dress shoes? Now you can choose from a beautifully curated selection that ALDO’s Zest For Life’s collection has to offer! These loafers come in soft suede Navy Blue to a bright popping Yellow and even to your basic Nude and Black – it might be a challenge to only pick one!
I personally would pick the Brown as it is timeless and classy, can be worn for work or even play and also the Yellow just ‘cause it would turn any monochromatic outfit from boring to wow!
ALDO’s Zest For Life is a collection of stylish, contemporary, hyper-wearable silhouettes with a pop of colour! Created to take you from date night to the big pitch, and everything in between. So head on over to your nearest ALDO store and grab them before they’re gone!
Waking up to the smell of fresh coffee is truly a treat, signaling the beginning of a new day with new challenges to take on. But enjoying coffee in the morning is a necessity for me, and if you need a caffeine boost to start your day as well, this article is just for you!
I think most coffee drinkers know that creating a barista-quality espresso is tough enough, and that the thought of preparing milk and foam that’s perfectly heated and whipped is more than a little intimidating. So why not leave it in the hands of professionals if you’re willing to pay for it?
I had similar doubts, until I stumbled across the Essenza Mini, the smallest Nespresso machine. If you’re unfamiliar with Nespresso, their story began in 1986 with the simple idea of allowing anyone to be a skilled barista and enjoy quality coffee moments no matter where they are through innovative coffee machines.
It’s still CNY season, so I want to talk about why you should save up all your ang paos for the Essenza Mini that lets you save more. More what, exactly?
The first one is space. Like I mentioned, the Essenza Mini is the smallest Nespresso machine. With a width of 11 cm ( for scale, that’s less than the length of most smartphones), you’ll have no trouble fitting it anywhere in your home. But don’t let its small size fool you, its sleek design definitely stands out and adds a pop of colour especially if you get the red one, like mine!
The second is time. I no longer go out of my way to drive around for parking, stand in line to place my order, and wait even more for my coffee. I get to sleep in a little longer and feel a lot fresher, because I just need to lift the lever on top, pop in the capsule and press one of two buttons for an espresso (40 ml) or lungo (110 ml).
The third is money. The Essenza Mini usually retails at RM599, but you can get RM88 off right now. A single capsule costs about RM2 to RM3, so ultimately you’ll save up more in the long run. I also spend less on eating out, because I can now catch up with loved ones over a cup of Nespresso!
Weight: 2.3 kg
Removable water tank: 600 ml
Used capsule container capacity: 6 capsules
Dimensions (HxLxW): 204 x 330 x 84 mm or 205 x 325 x 110 mm
Pressure: 19 bars
Automatic shut off after 9 minutes (programmable)
The Essenza Mini is the most compact Nespresso coffee machine thus far, but it has all the features that let you enjoy authentic, premium coffee without costing a bomb!
For those who are still lucky enough to collect ang paos, save up and treat yourself to an Essenza Mini of your own with the exclusive Nespresso offer below that ends on the last day of CNY, 19 February! We’ve got about a week left till Chap Goh Mei, so there’s still time to impress your relatives with quality coffee made in your very own home!
