Team Summit Colorado (TSC) is seeking a Lead U16 coach to join our full-time program. This position is full-time from October
through April and supports our full-time and Team Summit Academy programs. TSC’s program benefits from one of the longest winter training periods in the country, with in-county on-snow programming running from October through May. We are a solvent and supportive organization, with a robust and active membership, vibrant community, and support our staff’s professional development from day one. Position: Head U16 Alpine Coach
Calendar: Seasonal (September-April), Full-time, Salaried

General: Jackson Hole Ski and Snowboard Club (JHSC) is looking for qualified alpine coach to continue leading and directing our U16 teams to success. JHSC Alpine Team has a long history of success and its mission is to inspire and develop student-athletes through innovative and accessible ski and snowboard programs that provide opportunities to pursue personal excellence in snowsports and life.

Job Description
: The Head U16 Coach will report directly to Alpine Program Director and work closely with other coaches on developing and maintaining successful U16 teams. The coach will work closely with all athletes to help meet long-term and short-terms goals while also working to meet the goals of JHSC mission statement and vision.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Design and implement athletic plan for the U16 program
  • Manage U16 Staff and athletes 
  • Attend and direct all U16 team trainings and competitions
  • Participate in Divisional and Regional coaching projects as necessary or required
  • Coordinate and arrange transportation to and from all contests
  • Communicate expectations, praise and corrective feedback in a clear and constructive manner
  • Coordinate/organize off season training programs
  • Utilize video review/archiving techniques online 
  • Support student-athlete welfare
  • Meet with athletes, coaches, and parents for program nights/explanations
  • Communicate effectively with athletes, staff, and parents
  • Provide assistance to other JHSC teams and Race department if needed
  • Develop and manage an athlete retention
  • Create athlete/program calendar of events
  • Attend and hold meetings as necessary
  • Attend end of year Awards Banquet
  • Maintain regular office hours
  • Perform other duties as assigned


  • Must be well versed and knowledgeable in the sport of Alpine Ski Racing
  • Past coaching experience with certifications
  • Excellent communication, organizational and leadership skills
  • Able to work on weekends
  • Will require travel
  • Valid driver license
